1760V router and AIM-CUE

Does anyone know if the AIM-CUE will work in a 1760 or 1760V router?  I know it is not on the compability list but I know sometimes things work where not listed.

Michael,
Sorry but the 1760 range are not in the AIM-CUE compatability matrix.

  • AIM-CUE and CCME

Good day, we have a new CCME 3845 Router including VIC2-4FXO,NM-HD-2V,EVM-HD-8FXS/DID,EM-HDA-6FXO modules, this will be used for our new project. Is it possible that the CCME Router will work well on IP Phones even without the AIM-CUE, because that is the only remaining device that need to install on the Router and we want to install now the Router at the Site while we are waiting for the AIM-CUE to arrive the IP Phones should work. Thanks and I will wait for your reply.

    Hi Mahmoud,
You should be fine to get started without the AIM-CUE. This will only prevent the setup of the Voicemail potion of the install :)

  • Cucme and cucm with aim-cue

Hi all, I just want to know if AIM-CUE can work with cucme and cucm 8.0?
Because based on this matrix Cisco Unity Express Compatibility Matrix [Cisco Unity Express] - Cisco Systems
It says that it is supported, but CUE (AIM-CUE Module) should have a version of 7.2 or 7.3 to support cucme 8.x and cucm 8.x
Can anyone confirm this because aim-cue is the cheapest among the CUE cisco offers. Thanks!

That's what I read, having cue 7.2 or 7.3 will let you use cucme/cucm 8.x
When you say "there will not be any new firmware release on the old aim-cue", Does that mean that cue version 7.3 will be the last firmware version to be released on the old aim-cue that will support cucme/cucm 8.x? Future versions of cucme/cucm (version 9) will not be supported by the old aim-cue?

  • AIM/CUE not Picking-up in-bound external calls

I have a 2811 router with an AIM/CUE (12-VM) card. All of the telephony-service stuff works fine:
-All calls in house work fine
-All outbound calls work fine, to PSTN
-All inbound calls work fine, from PSTN
-Each phone can access it's VM internally
-the CME gui and the Unity-Express gui's are accessible on the LAN.
But, when I call from outside into the PRI with a DID number, I get four rings, then a pause, and then it never goes to voicemail. Sometimes; depending if I call with my celr or a land line, I get the message "Sorry your call cannot be completed as dialed, 000-000." Any clue why the vm does work for internal or external calls.
Here's a sample of the config.

Problem has to do with how many Digits are getting sent to voice mail on the router when it tries to make the call. You should be seeing 10 digits in the debug.
Next question when one ephone calls another ephone locally does voice mail work?
Try the following commands. This will create a translation-rule that will strip incoming 10 digits to the 4 digits you need. I assume you do not need all 10 digits.
    voice translation-rule 1
    rule 1 /^650\(....\)/ /\1/
    voice translation-profile digitstrip
    translate called 1
    voice-port 0/0/0:23

  • AIM-CUE crashed, need files/help

My power supply in my 2851 router died and took with it my AIM-CUE configuration/files, they are now corrupt.  I have looked EVERYWHERE for the files to download.  The only place I can find them is on Cisco's site and I do not have a contract so I cannot get them.
I think I was running version 3.1 or 3.3 before .  I sure would love to test version 7.4.1.  Does anyone know were I can get replacement files for my AIM-CUE?  Any version and must include the licenses.  This is for my home lab so I do not need very many connection licenses.
I do have a second AIM-CUE and tried to read the flash card but the PC says it needs formatting, DIDN'T do it!  Is there a way I can extract the files from this AIM-CUE to put on the one that crashed?
    Thank You,
    Michael

  • AIM-CUE Re-Initialize? Or Security Check...

    Good afternoon all,
Have a 2801 with AIM-CUE that I cannot login to the GUI. I went through the initialization wizard from CLI with no trouble, but it would not complete on the GUI side after I logged in the first time and ran the initializtion wizard. It did not complete and I was going to back out and come back to it after checking settings.
Now I am not getting the Initialization wizard and it is telling me Lost Contact after I am able to login. When I try to enter the Hostname, Username and Password, it is saying it failed to connect.
Is there a way to re-initialize the wizard or is there something I am missing in my security on these?
I can include portions of the configs from the router and the AIM module if it helps. I can still work with the AIM side via CLI, but even adding another Admin account and changing everything is not letting me access it (not as a first resort...)
I'm not finding a clear path to follow after this and when I look at the configs it all appears to be correct and matches my last install (2811 with AIM).
    Thanks,
    Jon Gauntt

I just did that. Although all the links to the 3.X.X files were all showing Network Unavailable.
I downloaded a 2.3.4 and got the initialization wizard to run. And it looks like I have some kind of configuration issue in my telephony service or am missing a file in my flash (even though I have now loaded extra files i do not need that I will need to take back off).

  • IChat 5.0 and AIM messenger 6.9 and 7.0 (more about crashes)

I don't know what happened with iChat from Snow Leopard, but taking a look in this forum at least I feel I'm not the only one, and that Mac fail for real this time.
I tried to start an audio or video chat with some friends who use AIM messenger 6.9 and 7.0 -Windows XP and Vista users-, and that's what happen:
    With people using AIM 6.9.17.2:
    1. iChat quits unexpectedly during video chat (and changing the Bandwidth Limit to 500 kbps doesn't make any difference)
    2. iChat Audio and Video not working correctly (during the 30 seconds to 2 minutes it works people start seeing me into huge green pixels)
    With people using AIM 7.0.13.4:
    1. iChat doesn't allow to begin an audio or a video chat (appears a textbook saying that the other user decline the invitation, despite they in fact accept it)
iChat from Leopard always worked perfect, all my problems started after installing Snow Leopard. It's just like have changed from Windows XP to Windows Vista -sad, very sad. Any advise?

    Hi,
By Default the Windows Firewall since XP service Pack 2 has only allowed Microsoft apps to accept Internet Connections.
Any other app needs to be allowed as an Exception in the Firewall.
Turning the firewall Off does not seem to be the answer for some reason.
Open the Start Button > Control Panels Firewall (In XP they may want to use Classic View here)
    Open the Firewall.
In it's window across the top are three tabs.
The Middle one in XP is Exceptions.
    It opens a new window.
In this New window choose the Add Button.
Add AIM by navigating to Applications/Program Files to AIM and the AIM(#).exe
(AIM used to be just AIM.exe at AIM 5.9 or earlier. At AIM 6 it became AIM6.exe so that AIM 5.9 and AIM 6.x could be installed at the same time - I am presuming AIM 7 Is AIM7.exe)
If their Modem or router is using UPnP that back at the list of Apps they Should also choose UPnP as well as checking AIM has been added to the List.
I have not heard that Windows Vista is any different. (Not heard anything about Windows 7)
In their Modem or router if they are not allowing ports to be open using UPnP then they should list port 443, 5190 and 1024-5000 for AIM to Video chat.

  • AIM CUE disk filling up

    Hi
We have a few customers with the AIM-CUE (v 2.1.1) in their CME systems. The flash drives in these systems will fill up about every six months requiring someone to boot to the helper and perform a disk cleanup operation (which takes the system down for about 30 minutes).
Voicemail utilization is well under 50% so I'm not sure what is filling up the drive. Trace logging is disabled
I'm wondering if this is working by design. Should the system be cleaning up after itself or do I need to take the system down to perform the cleanup operation on a regular basis?
    Thanks

    Try this steps
    1) Download the helper (installer) image [cue-installer***] from CCO. Put it on tftp.
    2) Go to bootloader prompt, change config to point to this helper. Boot this image by
    doing a "boot helper".
    3) When the image boots up, choose Option 3 to do disk cleanup.
    4) Say "y" at the confirmation prompt.
Disk clean up normally just deleting log files and unnecessary system files and compacting
the voiemail database, so it will not delete the voicemail and should not cause the
    voicemail lost.

  • Router and related question

Try to do the web hosting. The Web Server will host about 10 web applications for the public access (from several hundreds to a couple of thousands people to concurrently access). This server will be located in a Server-Hosting-Company which will use T1/T3 line to connect with the Internet. My web server will be placed in the hosting company's server room (This means that the hosting company will take care of the internet connection, while my server in turn will connect to the company's LAN system). . Now my questions are:
    1) I would like to have a router to act as a firewall, switch, VPN, and to support the DMZ. There is only the data pass though (no sound and vedio is required)
Of course, the faster, the better. But I would also take the budget into the consideration, so the router should resasonably get the job down, but not be over spended on. Which Cisco routers fits better: 1801 or 2801, or else?
    2) This router will not connect to a DSL or T1 or T3, instead, it will directly plug into the server room's LAN system, can I hook it up using the router's Ethernet port?
    3) To place a web cache machine in the DMZ, can I connect the Web Cache machine to the router's Ethernet port? Or, is there a port SPECIALLY for the DMZ to make the connection?
    Many thanks.

1800s are fixed configs with only wic slots, and you dont need wic slots in your app.
Get a 2811 for a min, it will have two fastE interfaces or you can get a 2821 or 2851 which have 2 GigE ports onboard. You can use IOS firewal feature on the router and also can do VPN. You need to get the Advanced security or higher feature set and an AIM card if you plan to terminate a lot of VPN connections.
To support a DMZ switch on the router itself you can buy a module such as NM-16ESW - 16 port switch and put your servers there. You can use ACLS and CBAC to permit specific traffic going to these web servers.
IOS firewall wont be truly the same as using a dedicated firewall such as PIX or ASA. So I would recommend using a PIX firewall for this purpose.

  • TO ALL THOSE HAVING TROUBLE WITH ICHAT AND AIM ON MACBOOKS

I've had a lot of trouble with AIM and iChat on my new Macbook, but I believe I've figured out the answers to all the problems I and others have encountered.
Firstly, for those who's AIM continually crashes and displays the message "The application AIM unexpectedly shut down," my answer to your problem is too many sent messages. Watch the bar in the bottom left of your chat window, when it reaches red, your application will probably shut down.
Secondly, for those experiencing difficulties with iChat, it's most likely a problem with communitcation between your wireless router and your computer. Try these steps:
    1. From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
    2. From the View, choose Sharing.
    3. Click the Firewall tab.
    4. Click New.
    5. From the Port Name pop-up menu, choose Other.
If you have a Macbook, you'll probably have a TCP Port Number Bar and a UDP Port Number Bar. Try these steps:
    1. In the TCP Port Number(s) Bar, type: 5190, 5298
    2. In the UDP Port Number(s) Bar, type: 1024-5219, 5221, 5223-65535
    3. In the Description Bar, type: iChat AV
    4. Click OK
    5. Click Start above the window with your firewall settings, and make sure the box next to iChat AV is checked
    6. Relaunch iChat
Good Luck! I hope this solves some of the problems that people have been encountering.

My Linksys is the WAG54G, which might be different from your WRT54G. Currently, UPnP is disabled and the Router ports are a bit of a mystery, because they're forwarded to an IP address that's outside of the current DHCP Address Range! Once I got it working, I was reluctant to change it even though it looked anomalous.
The Firewall is on, with the iChat ports open that I listed in the previous post.
My two regular buddies are my sons, who both use Trillian Pro on a Windows machine. Works pretty well despite occasional freezes or garbled sound.
    Hope you get sorted soon.
