1GB MMC in 6230, only recognises so many tracks.

I have a 6230, with a 1GB MMC. it can store 500+ tracks. but when i open Music Player it only recognises 200 of the tracks, which means i have to keep changing the 200 all the time. is there a way for the phone to see all of the tracks on the card?

That really is bad, is there no software patch/update that can remedy this? Why is this not stated somewhere in handset literature? Why is Nokia so bad at informing users about hardware shortfalls? Why so many questions? Because these inadequecies annoy me!

Yosemite only recognises 16gb RAM out of 32gb

Hi guys,
Until a month ago when I upgraded to Yosemite, Maverick recognised the 32gb RAM physically installed on my machine, after the upgrade to Yosemite (currently 10.10.1), the system ONLY recognises 16gb RAM.
I have a 27-inch mid 2010 iMac, 2.93 GHz Intel Core i7. All 4 slots are used, but the system should read 4 x 8 gb, but it only reads 4 x 4.
Already tried resetting the PRAM and SMC, but nothing.
Any clues, advice... something ?

After reading what you replied, I took a moment to think and I just realised I mistook the computers I have!!!! D'oh!
The one in my office is the old one with just 16gb and the one at home is the one with 32gb!
I know, I know, pure idiot... just coming back from a long vacation completely disconnected from technology and no matter how many times I saw the SYSTEM PROFILE I never realised it was the mid 2010 iMac.
Laugh all you want, mock me... I deserve it.

4GB Upgrade from Crucial only recognising 2GB

HI - I've just upgraded my 17" 2.4GHz MBP from 2GB to 4GB using the 2x2GB upgrade pack from Crucial. Problem is that my MBP is only recognising 2GB of it. When I open up 'About This Mac' and click 'More Info' the memory section is telling me that I have 2x1GB sticks installed. I've pulled the sticks and swapped them around ad I've checked that they do actually have 2GB printed on each stick.
Is this a MBP problem or have I bought dodgy RAM ? I'm running Leopard 10.5.1.

Yours is the 3rd post I've seen in the last 2 days where a Crucial 2gb sodimm is showing as a single 1gb.
It looks like Crucial have accidentally labelled some 1gb sodimms as 2gb.
Crucial ram is usually excellent quality. I'd get in touch with them and get the ram swapped out, but also point them to this forum so they can look up the other two cases. Seems like a major error on their part.

I'm happy to report that Sound Studio has corrected its part of the problem, and an updated version is available on its web site: freeverse.com/soundstudio/
I also discovered that attempts to adjust individual song volumes in the Get Info menu won't work if the Sound Check option is selected in Preferences (duh!).
Further good news is Apple's announcement of an arrangement to offer unprotected versions of BMI music in the iTunes store for an extra 30 cents per song. It would be well worth it, in my opinion, if all the music companies agreed to the arrangement, thereby streamlining the task of transferring problem songs to editing programs like Sound Studio.
One minor glitch remains. To differentiate between original and edited versions of a song, I usually append a number to the name. But when I import the edited version back into the iTunes library, iTunes automatically changes the name back to the original. I can tell the difference by referring to other clues in the library file, but not in the abbreviated iPod menu. I could delete the unedited version from the library or, better, create playlistys consisting of only the edited versions.

At 1.3GB available, your storage space is getting very thin no matter what you do further. As long as you have the photo's in the camera roll saved on your computer you can delete them. Just make sure first that they are in your photo software. If updating in iTunes, just backup/sync first, then update, and that will save the camera roll in the backup as well.
At only 1.3GB you eventually are going to find yourself unable to install or update some app, or unable to take any new pictures, or some other limitation that will force you to free up space anyway. So now, before updating, sounds like a good time to make sure everything is backed up or stored somewhere else, and clean house a bit, then update.

I take it that it is through Wiindows Explorer you are able to track the iPad as an external device?
Disconnect your iPad and try a Reset - hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 15 seconds.
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed on your PC.
Also, try a different USB port on your PC, a few times if necessary.

Hi Ingo2711, Thanks a million for your reply. That's probably what it is. Now next thing, my iphone will not switch on at all. No water damage or physical damage. I brought to an irepair place and he was first able to see the photos on my phone somehow but when I brought it back to get fixed he couldn't. I have been told by a few people that it may just be the charge port or battery or unfortunately the logic/motherboard. What is my best bet? Open iTunes and tell it what to sync to the device.

Most probably because your camera records videos into MTS files, which aren't cmpatible with iOS. I agree with wjosten. Sounds like a sim card issue. Was your sim card removed from a working,activated phone? I've switched sim cards in an iphone multilple times and never had a problem. You might try removing the sim card and reinstalling.

Missing many tracks, not sure if it is iTunes/IOS5 upgrade issue or not.

I have updated iTunes/IOS5, and now lost many tracks. I play my music through a Lacie EHD via AEBS, but now appear to have lost many tracks. Apple store consolidated my library as I was able to play music previously, all of my music even though I couldn't find it when you went to search for it on the external hard drive. The Apple store weren't sure what had happened, but consollidated the library and it appeared to have found the music again, however, since I have got home and tried playing, the exclamation mark comes up on absolutely tonnes of music tracks, and I now cannot find them. I had been using Time Machine until about a month ago, but this I am guessing wont help because the music was already on an EHD. Does anyone have any ideas on where the music could have gone to or how I retrieve them back as I have some of it backed up to disc, but the last time this was done was about 2 years ago. Surely there is only so much back up of a back up you can do??? Please help?

This is a very strange problem. Latency is when say you pluck a string on a guitar and hear it through the monitor a little later.
The only thing I can think of in this case is if you changed the tempo and it messed something up.

Yes. If you want 32 tracks, your environment should have 32 audio objects.
How can I make more audio tracks?
There is a short cut to creating the audio objects in the environment - use the Tracks -> Create Multiple feature - Logic will ask you how many tracks to add, and will create them and add them to the environment and arrange accordingly.

Hi, I'm trying to play over a 190 tracks simultaneously, but SP will only let me open 126. Is there a way around this, maybe create two files: one with 126 and the rest on another?? Any help would be appreciated.

They don't list a number in the [product specs|http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/specs/#soundtrackpro], probably because it would be somewhat system dependent. I can for instance add more than 126 tracks on an Intel iMac, although I'm not trying to playback that many.
I would think that for instance, an 8 core Intel Mac Pro is going to run a lot more than your dual G5.
