1GB motion menu limit error, have tried every solution
I'm desperate here, I'm on a deadline and there seems to be no way around this error. I have a project with about 50 motion menus, each an average of 20-30 seconds. I encoded the menu videos to DVD-standard MPEGs before importing them into Encore to ensure the total of them would be under 1gb. All of them total 907mb, yet Encore is STILL telling me my motion menus exceed the limit.
I also noticed that, even though I specified "Don't Transcode" on all my menu MPEGs, Encore still transcoded about 10 of them, it looks like it transcoded all the transitional videos. This could possibly be putting me over the 1gb limit, but I doubt it as all of them are only around 2-3 seconds each. So two questions: Why is Encore transcoding DVD-compliant MPEGs, and what could be pushing me over the 1gb menu limit? I've read several other topics similar to this, and have tried everything, including checking to see if some of my motion menus were actually pointing to longer videos, they're not.

Yeah that's exactly what I'm saying, I encoded everything beforehand to DVD-compliant MPEG2 video and Dolby audio files, and everything added up to 906mb (transitions, motion backgrounds and audio). So the only thing not taken into consideration are the subpicture highlights. Could those be 100mb? Good grief, I have 34 minutes of motion menus and transitions at 906mb, if I go any lower these will really start to look bad. I guess there's no other solution here. Is there any way for me to find out how much exactly my menu content is taking up after encoding? It would sure be helpful of Encore to include that instead of just stating that "you're over the 1gb limit".

After you install Apple driver to enable the audio chip, YOU then need to manually download and install (Cirrus or Realtek audio depending on the Mac).

imessaging on ipod touch doesnt work after iOs 6 update, can't send or recieve messages. it isnt the wifi since everything else is working. have tried every solution possible. help?!
Short of a reset to factory settings I've found making sure iMessaging is not left minimised helps. It doesn't seem to keep its connection. So, by closing after each use this helps. I've been doing this since I logged out of iMessaging at least 1/2 doz times and even changed my apple id pw as this had ceased to be recognised. I get fewer send failures now and don't have an inactive send button so much. Having said this its all a bit of a work around as iMessaging isn't behaving as it once did. If over time not resolved will do factory reset. All the best.

I am running W7 and FF 14.01. My admin account FF works fine. My working account has the problems. In the past I have been able to get the bookmarks back but not this time.
The bookmarks were there yesterday morning and gone in the afternoon. Nothing changed between the AM and PM to my knowledge. I have tried every method I've found on Mozilla threads from modifying the profile.ini file to merging the profile folders, etc. I have the original Thunderbird profile (including all folders, inbox, sent items etc) on the original hard drive that is set up as a secondary hard drive (E:) in the new computer.
No matter what I try, I can't get Thunderbird to pick up that old profile. I've uninstalled and re-installed T-Bird nearly a dozen times now (and deleted the folders from the AppData folders) to try to get it to pick up the original profile.
Any suggestions????Create a new profile and copy the old one over it.

Re-installing Thunderbird is a complete waste of time. It won't do anything to your profile. -
I understand that Spellchecker is pre-installed but I cannot verify this is the case with v.4.0 Firefox. I have right-clicked on webpages and it does not say Dictionary is missing, so I assume the problem remains with Spellchecker. I expected to find Spellchecker and Languages under Edit in nav bar but it does not show up, What must I do? Richard

Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

Vision M problem persisting....I have tried EVERY solution

I know there are a million and one other threads about people having trouble with their Zen Vision M's and connection issues, but after having read them all and gone through every possible solution to the problem I could find my problem still persists.
The problem is this: I've had it since Christmas and everything has been fine, I ran the battery dead recently and tried to plug it in to charge from USB like normal......nothing, would not charge. So I bought a mains adapter and have charged it up to full but still I plug the zen vision M in and I get a popup about new hardware, 'zen vision m found', 'MPT device found' then the windows hardware installer pops up, trying to install any drivers....doesn't work.
I've gone through uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling, checking my USB registry permissions, uninstalling it from device manager and rebooting with the device still connected, all the fixes on the blog site, I have up-to-date SP2, I've tried all my USB ports, and still no joy.
If there are any other suggestions PLEASE let me know because I'm completely out of options.

Ant.I have solved the problem.
It seems that although I had Windows media player installed, some of it's key services with regards portable devices had been removed or stopped. I just reinstalled WMP and the player was detected by windows immediately.
Strange that the player should rely solely on a program's service that is not created by (and therefore not able to be fixed by) the manufacturer of the device itself.
But there you have it, that's one more solution to add to the growing list of 'reasons why the Zen isn't recognised'. -
My Flash player does not work and I have tried every solution I found online
Last week I became unable to use Youtube, Grooveshark and other sites that use Flash. On Youtube I just get a black box and when I right click on it it says "movie not loaded". Grooveshark tells me I may have a flash blocker, which I have not consciously installed. Also, when I try to log on to IMDB I just get a big empty white box instead of the sign in fields.
I am using Windows 7 and Firefox 20.0.1 and Adobe Flash Player 11.7.700.169
I did some research online and already addressed all the issues that people claimed could cause this problem.
I have already tried: re-installing Flash, re-installing Firefox, switching over to Google Chrome, cleaning my cache and doing a system restore. Nothing worked.
Does anyone have any other suggestions to fix Flash? Any ideas what might be going wrong? Could it be resulting from a Windows update? Did something get deleted when I ran a Ccleaner scan to wipe free space? My MBP won't sleep HD, and I have tried every solution already posted.
This is a persistent problem that began over 1 year ago, so information about how this unit might have been configured when it began is no longer available, but I have scoured this and google in general, using all search terms I can think of and still I can not pin point a reason my HD will not sleep. I have been advised that there is a "process" keeping my unit awake, but I don't understand how that is possible when it won't even sleep when it is on the startup screen. So here are some particulars.....maybe you have some new thoughts?
I drive a MBP with a 2.4 Core Duo processor running OS 10.9.1, 5gb of mem, 750gb of storage with 500+ free.
1) I made a clean install of system software and a clean upgrade to Mavericks (as a way to try to solve the problem which began when I was using Mtn Lion). There is no third part software loaded onto the machine, yet.
2) I have yet to launch iTunes, or iPhoto, or a Browser, no printer has been added.
3) The result is the same regardless of user or preferences. It does it in "safe mode". The Terminal doesn't give any reason for aborting sleep using "pmset -g" command. It just has a "10". Bluetooth is turned off, notifications are turned off, sharing is turned off, airport is turned off...it's not even connected to the internet. The only software on the computer is the system. There are no peripherals.
4) It won't sleep even on the start-up screen. It won't sleep if I go through the menu or close the lid. It will power off the monitor, and begin to wind down the HD, but just as it reaches the end of the sequence BING and the screen comes on again. If the lid is closed, it will stay that way until the battery runs out, unless it's plugged in. SMC and VMRAM resets not effective.
5) I have no files on this computer so I don't care about losing them.
6) This computer did not have this problem using Snow Leopard, and even worked for a time using Mtn Lion and changing to Mavericks has not affected the problem which leads me to think it's not OS related. It acts like a firmware issue, but as far as I can find there is no firmware upgrade for my unit.Hello Bobz,

It's pretty much what I have seen others write about, only I have not gotten any of their solutions to work. Last thing I tried was a new firewire cable. The mb can't see my ibook wirelessly either. Now I have a new computer and no way to really use it. This is probably my 20th Mac and I have been using them since 1988, and this is just about the very first time I have been frustrated with a Mac, unable to fix it, and ready to send it back. So i have had this iphone for under 2 months and i never usually have a problem with its wi-fi. One day suddenly it wouldnt connect to my home Sky wi-fi although it would connect to my college wi-fi which is manually connected by an IT consultant. I also tried to connect it to my dads wi-fi and it connected and then disconnected. Everytime i try to connect it just says 'Unable to connect'. Tried everything, erased everything off my phone and rebooted it, nothing will work. Someone help because im using all my 3g!!!!

I have a brand new Core i5 Windows 64bit laptop, but cannot connect to the iTunes Sore. I have tried every solution suggested in the discussion groups but I still cannot connect. This includes completely removing all security and firewalls, and I still cannot connect. I have re-load the software in different combinations again to no avail. Any ideas anyone?

Updated itunes to 12.1 and can't burn playlist. Error "attempt to burn disc failed, disc cannot be read or written to" have tried every troubleshooting solution to no avail. please help!

I have been trying to burn my project to dvd and every time that I do the burn cancels due to a 1GB motion menu allowance. I have tried bringing in my motion menus at a smaller file size and nothing is working. Can someone help me with this?
If your motion menus exceed 1GB then you would have more than about 18 minutes worth of motion. Is that correct?
When Encore builds motion menus it creates the MPEG-2 video at a fixed bit rate of (I believe) 7Mb/s. That means that no matter what size your motion menu assets are the 1GB DVD-Video specification limit is hit at roughly 18 minutes.
The only way around is to prepare the entire menus, including any buttons,
before importing in Encore as DVD-Video legal MPEG-2. In Encore you then add
only the subpicture highlighting - nothing else. That way Encore doesn't need to create the MPEG-2 video and your menus will keep the size at which you imported them.
