1mb L3 not regonized on 733mHz CPU

I decided to upgrade my mac for really cheap. I went from a 533mHz CPU to a 733mHz, both out of Digital Audio G4s. I installed the new CPU and the L3 showed up, but it then froze when I was benchmarking it and I had to reboot. Then the Mac would boot but wouldn't display anything, so I disconnected everything and opened the case and pressed that little button to reset it. Plugged everything in and it fired up, however it didn't regonize the L3 in the About this Mac thingy. So I am wondering if I can engage it or I can download something that would regonize it for me or if something went terribly wrong.

Welcome to the Discussions.
Have you tried a PRAM reset (holding Command, Option, P and R for 3 chimes at startup)?
If you have and it didn't help, you could try this.

    Hello,
I am Implementing SAP note 350011 in 2004s BW system (SP13). I have executed the 3 scripts using UPS_BENCHMARK_EXECUTE. But I am not able to get the reference values to compare the result. Please let me know, from where will I be able to get the reference values?

There are alot of waits regarding CPU .I disagree.
The report shows on "CPU + Wait for CPU".
It does NOT separate out the CPU time from "Wait for CPU"
The majority of the time reported could be while on "CPU" with very little doing "Wait for CPU"
    enable SQLTRACE=TRUE
tkprof reports both Elapsed Time & CPU Time
the difference between those two values is the real "wait time".

When I try to open the EOS digital solution disk ver 24.1 for my new Canon Rebel T3i camera on my Mac 10.5.8 a notice "this software is not supported by the CPU you are using" comes up.   Do I need this software?  Can I just download the pictures to my Mac without using the Canon software?

When I try to open the EOS digital solution disk ver 24.1 for my new Canon Rebel T3i camera on my Mac 10.5.8 a notice "this software is not supported by the CPU you are using" comes up
You need to contact Canon - or read the software specs - it sounds like the software you got form them is not supported by your computer
    Do I need this software?
Probably not - exactly what about it do you want?
Can I just download the pictures to my Mac without using the Canon software?
Probably - if you are shooting JPEG - launch iPhoto and in the iPhoto preferences set action when a camera is connected to launch iPhoto and connect your camera - iPhoto should launch and you should be able to import
Some cameras need to be set to mass storage mode - read your camera manual for details and procedures
If you are using RAW then your camera needs to be on this list and you need the versions of software noted - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4757 - for older OS versions you can use google to find the list of supported cameras

  • PSE 8 install question for Mac PowerBook G4, "Does not support PowerPC architecture CPU..."

I am getting the following message during attempted install of Photoshop Elements 8 for my Mac PowerBook G4 (OS 10.4.11):
"This product does not support PowerPC architecture CPU. Please upgrade or adjust your system to meet these requirements."
I double-checked system requirements listed online before purchasing software, and also checked requirements listed on outside of box before opening it. All looked fine,
Searching Adobe help has turned up nada, any thoughts out there?
    Thanks in advance,
    Laura

    Hi Laura,
I guess you must have missed something or misinterpreted something. Please check the requirements mentioned on the web page: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopelmac/systemreqs/
which clearly says that it needs an  Intel® processor which means an iMac machine, Mac PPC are not supported in PSE 8 anymore.

  • CNAME not regonized?

Using Safari Mac OS X Version 10.6.8, I have started getting Cname not regonized and now I can't search at all. When I try to search different sites I just keep getting the same message. I am able to go to any of my bookmarks but that is all. Please can someone tell me what I need to do about this? I recently cleared the cache. Thanks

I would check for malware/adware by:
    First try
Remove unwanted adware that displays pop-up ads and graphics on your Mac
    Next:
Adwaremedic: Removes all known adware from your Mac
If you can't download it since the malware is preventing it then see:

  • Lightroom 6 / CC2015 - Facial Recognition Terribly Slow, not using all of CPU or GPU, still keeps going when paused.

This is actually a couple of issue but wondering if others are experiencing it and worked through it.
I am using a Dual Xeon CPU 3.2 ghz Mac Pro, Catalog on SSD, Images files on Mirrored Pair, Dedicated GPU (max I can install in my version of Mac Pro) and hardware acceleration enabled in Lightroom.
I watched the Lightroom 6 Facial Recognition tutorial which leaves out a lot of the bulk editing and says basically let it loose on your whole catalog.. NOT recommended.
I started out with a couple small portrait galleries that identified a couple hundred total people to seed facial recognition so it didn't suggest everyone is the first person I confirmed (which it will do otherwise). I have also optimized my catalog multiple times.
I have encountered the following serious performance issues and bugs with Facial Recognition.:
Lightroom Facial Recognition goes to a ridiculous crawl after about 2000 images to be confirmed. (i.e. 2000-2300 in a couple hours, 800-1200 in the next 12 hours)
Lightroom becomes largely unresponsive after having a fair number of images to be confirmed, even after pausing Address and Facial Recognition. So even selecting 4 rows of images can take 5 minutes with several long pauses.
Once I select and click confirm it takes up to 2 minutes to update the "to be confirmed" list again.
When I click on an individual at the top of the page, pause facial recognition and address lookup it still continues to "Look for similar faces" [BUG!!!!!!!!] even though all I want to do is just confirm some individuals more quickly in bulk with the images already identified.. not continue to look for more as a work around for the painfully slow responsiveness of the module.
The odd part is that with all of the performance issues Lightroom will not use more than 20-30% of my two Xeon CPUs, barely touches my GPU (<10% CPU, 30% memory), my and no more than 35% of my memory. Computer Temps are also barely above startup temperatures and 15-25 degrees cooler than when I run other applications which will consume my entire CPU and memory if I let it. I have explored Lightroom's settings but seen nothing further I can configure to speed it all up.  I have also attempted the operation on images on the SSD, my drobo (known to be slow), an independent fast disk I have, and a pair of raided disks and have the same issues.
I will also note that all of my other applications seem to continue to operate just fine.. the slowness seems to be contained to the Lightroom application itself.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

A big problem continues to be that once you wait for it to index all your faces you find it missed over half of them. There are many cases where it missed the subject of the photo but managed to find a tiny waiter off in the shadows. I don't know how this will ever get fixed; it seems it'll require an update that lets you rerun the indexing a few times, maybe with different levels of granularity. I doubt that's coming.
It stands to reason that a system that hands you thousands of false positives for every face can't recognize if something is or isn't a face in over half the cases. Faces in profile or tilted down, especially with the eyes looking down, are bypassed completely. I have directories with a thousand people shots in them, many with multiple people, and instead of LR6 returning an index of 1.5k or so, it gives me 385. I'm not sure how valuable the search advantages will be in this case; I can see it not returning some favorite shots of people.
Anyway, for anyone looking to get past the spinning wheels, work on one directory at a time. Then once a directory is done, keep it selected so you have the same thumbnails of identified faces in the confirmed area, and control-select the next directory. You won't have to reseed the confirmed faces area this way and things move much faster when you're not working with the entire library. It also helps to click each person in the confirmed faces and work in that view sometimes. It'll return faces of family members of that person and you can rename those. You can watch it focus its top results as you confirm but, annoyingly, it doesn't narrow the total suggestions but actually expands them the more faces you confirm and the fewer correct positives remain. (This seems opposite to how it should work. It should give you fewer faces the more you confirm as it gets a better idea what the person looks like and has fewer shots left unconfirmed of that person.)  Yet, even with the expanded results, faces will still escape it and pop up in other people's results as false positives.
Bottom line: It's only a little better than manual tagging, and not as thorough because of the poor hit rate of the initial indexing. But it works better if you stick to isolated directories and occasionally individual people. At least that way you don't have to wait for it to re-sort tens of thousands of results with every click.

  • Satellite M40x will not boot up after CPU upgrade test

I have an M40x Laptop. I took the CPU out of it to replace it with another to test the computer booted up fine so I shut down and took it out and put it's original CPU back in, and it would not boot. Now it will not boot up at all with either of the CPU's all. When I turn on the power all I get is a white screen for a few seconds and the laptop shuts itself back down. Both the CPU's are good because I have since tested them in other computers to make sure that was not the problem.
Anyone have any ideas on what is causing this??

    Im not surprised.
As far as I know Toshiba does not support any CPU upgrades and it's not advisable to do something like that.
Its a fact that the CPU replacement on the notebooks is not easy and mostly not recommended.
The processors used in portables are connected to the system board using a process called TCP (Tape Carrier Package). This is a permanent connection method and is used in the interests of miniaturization and heat dissipation.
Did you assign the new heat paste? Its necessary and important if you want to connect the CPU again.
So possibly this is a reason for the no booting.
I think more details you will get from the service guys in your country

  • Export (Premiere CC 2014 & Media Encoder CC 2014) not using 100% of CPU

Hey all, had this problem for a while now, Adobe CC 2014 just doesn't want to utilise my CPU, thus taking a 3min clip to encode forever (god forbid I use any effects or a 3 minute clip encodes for over 5hours - no not a joke) it doesn't matter if I use the built in encoder in Premiere or use the Media Encoder. I've seen that many people struggle with this but no-one has supplied a solution not at least oen that I could find. Does anybody know a workaround? Just to throw in some numbers here. A same project file, with the same export settings with the same source files and on the same computer of course; 1 hour and 21min clip encodes in 2 hours and 24min (h264 2pass encode with 35mbit stream) in CS6, with CC 2014 it takes 6 hours and 49 min and that is just preposterous.
As can be seen from the screenshot Adobe CC 2014 is only using about 50% of my CPU thus encoding slower. I wonder if there is a way to tell Adobe to just use all of the resources that are given to it?

  • Help - Premiere CC2014 When exporting it's not using my whole CPU LONG EXPORTS

Using my recently built computer with:
    250gb SSD samsung (Software)
2TB HD 7200 rpm (media, export)
    6 core I7 4930K
    Noctua SSO CPU cooler
    Nvidia Geforce 770 4gb GPU
    32 gb of ram
    750 watt power supply
    Asus mobo
Pretty decent computer. that shouldnt have problems exporting pretty basic videos.
I am exporting for the web.   .h264 CBR with 12-16 mbps  or similar
    No Max rendering checked.
using multiple camera files from Sony, Canon, Gopro.
When it starts exporting a video that is 20 minutes long will take 4 hours to export. Video that is 3 minutes long (right now) is taking 25 minuts to export. That didn't used to be the case.
I open my Task manager and look at the processor it is only using 1 core at about 10%
I do have GPU acceleration on but I have switched it on and off and it hasn't made a difference.
I believe when I exported from my CS5 version it would use the whole processor and hash it out real quick.
THE BIG QUESTION: IS THERE ANY SETTINGS I NEED TO CHANGE TO OPTIMIZE MY COMPUTERS HARDWARE TO EXPORT THINGS EFFICIENTLY.
Anyone have this problem and find a solution for it?
I am new to usin the adobe community and problem solving on forums so let me know if I didn't give you enough information.

I too have this problem, and it seems to be relatively new. I'm trying to figure out if there's anything I changed, but I can't place it. I've read a few threads with people having this same issue though, so I don't feel like it's anything I've done.
The only solution I've come across is to do a restart. After restarting, I open AME and just start my queue. It then utilizes all cores. Tomorrow I'm going to attempt to install a previous version of AME and see if the problem goes away.
This thread mentions a solution: AME CC2014 Very Slow Encoding
However, I believe this solution does not work. I did as it says, and it only temporarily fixed it, and I think that was due to the restart. Also, my power settings are set to Performance.

  • Aperture 3.5 "Not Responding" but using CPU ...

I'm on a 2012 Macbook Pro 15" with Retina. 2.7 i7 CPU, 16BG of RAM, a nice fat SSD with 40 GB of free space.
Updated on Mavericks as of this date...
    Just installed Aperture 3.5
Importing old iPhone Library to NEW Aperture Library because I was experiencing some other problems that I won't go into and hoped that the "creating a fresh new library" idea might get me somewhere. There are over 20,000 images in this library, across a few hundred "Events" or "Projects".
ANYWAY, it appears to have imported everything and maybe it's making the previews? The new library is about 10GB larger than the old one.
Aperture is using 105% of a CPU and is Not Repsonding according to Activity Monitor. Also, Beachball of WAIT is spinning.
Thoughts? Should I kill Aperture? I'm going to let it run ALL NIGHT LONG and check back here.
I can't wait to see recommendations like "free up more space" and "can you install more ram?" like all the old Aperture posts I've read so far...

I had the same exact problem, but I found a solution. Create a sparse disk image with Disk Utility on the server and then put the vault inside that. My 120GB library took about 4 minutes to update afterwards as opposed to the 2+ hours putting the vault directly on the server.

  • CAPL browser shows that the .can file is write protected while it is not and keeps toggling, CPU performance reach 100%

The problem is when I open the CAPL browser, the CPU load increases to 99~100%, and the .can file I am editing can't be saved, and I keep getting the message "file is protected and can't be saved". This happened on multiple machines with different CANoe versions.
    I tested on these versions:
    8.0.36
    8.0.71
    8.0.93
    8.1.60
Randomly the icon of the "write protected" appears beside the file name in the file tab inside the CAPL browser, if I could press the save button while it is not appearing the file is saved, other wise I get the error message. The memory usage is also increases too much and then the browser stop responding.
Do any body had the same issue before? any advice?
Operating system: Windows 7 Ultimate 64
    AntiVirus installed:  McAfee

    Hi Allaithy,
Can you clarify how is this issue related to NI CAN products?
Anyway, here are some things to try:
Is this the file on a network? Do you have administrator privileges to this network?
    Is file set to Read-only?

How's the light on your power cord, on the receiving (your Mac) side? If it shows green, don't sweat, it means it is charging alright, no matter what the battery meter in Windows says: battery management is largely firmware-run on a MacBook Pro, since it's not exactly supposed to run another OS than Mac OS X. If the light shows yellow/orange, then for the sake of experiment, let it run until your battery dies. If it does at all.

I have adobe premiere pro cc 2014.2, and the fact is that it only uses 23% of my AMD FX 8320 CPU at max. I've saw a lot of other people with the same problems. I have also noticed that this is not a HDD problem because it is not even spinning up to 2%. I have a 3TB HDD that I keep my project files on along with the videos, but the program is on a SSD and that is where my export destination is also. I really need premiere for my YouTube channel. If anyone can help me solve this, please do. I have also tried this with media encoder, and even opening it as a sequence in after affects. I am pretty sure this is a problem with adobe because people with other processors, raid systems, and these crazy expensive workstations are having the exact same problem than I am.. This is one of those challenging problems that even when trying absolutely everything that i have saw on google, i have unfortunately unable to resolve this.

  • HPROF Could not find agent library cpu on the library path

    I am familiar with Oracle's documentation at [http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/Programming/HPROF.html| http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/Programming/HPROF.html]
When I execute the HPROF as follows:
    java -agentlib:hprof=cpu=times Main
At the end I receive the output:
Dumping CPU usage by sampling running threads ... done.
    Where is the dump?
How do I see the monitoring details?

Did you make sure your library (call it x) starts is named libx.so (atleast, on linux, possibly libx.dll on windows, not sure)? It will not load otherwise, and you must specify -agentlib:x (rather than saying libx.so). Yes, it is "funny" how it gives the same uninformative error message for a wide variety of errors. It will also give you this same error message if there are still unresolved symbols upon loading your library (which would be my second guess).
