1mS Digital aquisition realistic for AI-16XE-50/Pentium/Win98?

I'm trying to sample digital levels + buffered period measurement at 1mS
or better. Setting the tick counter for 1mS intervals apparently causes
too much overhead on my old laptop, and the samples are 3-4 mS intervals
at best. Running the acquisition loop flat out with no waiting will
sample the digitals at barely 1mS or faster, but some buffered period
measurement samples are missing, even though it's contained within the
same acquire loop. D'oh! Since the period measurement is apparently the
slowest, I'm thinking there should be a way to hold off the digital
sampling until the period measurement is done, so they all have the same
time correlation, but I dunno how, seein' as I 'aint never tried this
here Lab

Win 98 is not a real-time (deterministic) operating system... you're always
going to loose samples and the interval will never be precise.
I haven't used it but, I believe NI makes a LabView RealTime version that
actually uses a separate interrupt driven microprocessor on one of their DAQ
boards to do the periodic sampling... at least that's how I think it works?
Are you trying to trap really narrow spikes or could an averaging technique
be used to average out the varying period?

The iPad Screen is almost square, HD TVs are rectangular so will never be full screen. When watching movies, the movies native aspect ratio will be used rather than the iPads screen aspect ratio so will look full screen if the movie is full screen, but most likely will be seen in wide screen letter box format. with black bars across the top and bottom as that what most movies from iTunes are in, format wise

How do I uninstall Adobe Digital Editions 3 (for Mac)???

Dear kind, knowledgable Adobe Staff member-
As a user of SEVERAL Adobe products, I am really NOT loving the fact that there is NO CLEAR answer that I can find here (OR even in doing a Google search) for how to completely REMOVE/UNINSTALL Adobe Digital Editions 3 (for Mac)...and there are a couple/few UNanswered Adobe Communities posts (such as this one) asking this SAME question!
If you're going to create an installer for the MacOS platform (which does NOT have the built-in Winblows uninstall "feature"), then PLEASE DO either include a uninstaller tool (either installed during the install process, built into the installer as an option, OR have clear, official, and easily accessible step-by-step instructions on how to do this!
You've lost ANY shot of my returning to ADE software by not having these features...please do help me re-instill some "faith" in your company's responsiveness to the current LACK of support that I am experiencing in attempting to remove this unwanted software from my computer!

I DO very much appreciate the swift effort at attempting to help...but that is NOT a working resolution for me.
1) As I was very clear on in my OP and title, I am seeking assistance with uninstalling Adobe Digital Editions 3 (for Mac)...
2) BECAUSE Adobe is distributing this software as an "installer", I am not even going to begin to trust simply deleting the Adobe Digital Editions 3 app from my applications folder...no way! I want to thoroughly remove ALL TRACES of this application (EVERYTHING that was installed by the installer, or later by the application itself, onto my computer. Simply deleting the app fro my my applications folder will NOT be sufficient to achieve this goal.
3) As the name would suggest (and the step-by-step instructions would collaborate, the CC Cleaner Tool is only for Creative Cloud installation and removal problems (and to the very best of my knowledge, Adobe Digital Editions is certainly NOT a CC program.)
"A" for effort, but not so much on providing a relevant/working Adobe Digital Editions 3 (for Mac OS) uninstall/removal suggestion(s)...STILL looking for a working solution!

Assuming that you already have the iPad 2, you're looking at a $99 purchase versus as $39 purchase. Why to spend over twice as much on the AppleTV?
Another thing it would depend on is how often you plan to use the connection. If it's going to be an everyday constant thing where you're likely to find yourself wanting the surf but the iPad is connected to the TV (so you have to disconnect then re-connect each time), then maybe that will be enough of a hassle to get the AppleTV. If you only want to use it every now and again (like after renting a video from iTunes, or to share content when people come over), then you may just get the Digital AV adapter and be fine.
Actually, I just thought of a third option. You want the connection to be more convenient, but would still rather not have the AppleTV sitting there unused most of the time, you could add the iPad 2 dock for $29 which would be $69 dollars and you're still under the $99 of the AppleTV.
Oh, and one MORE thing to think about If you've got a computer connected to your network (that's connected to your media library) you may find that having the AppleTV is an easy way to get all that content to your TV, so it would be an additional benefit to the whole situation above and beyond just the iPad.
For me, I purchased the AppleTV, I have one stationary computer (a Mini) that serves all my music and videos that are in my iTunes library, plus an iPad which I can use as a remote control to control the AppleTV, or I can use AirPlay to push video/audio to the TV from any connected device. I like being able to freely switch between modes at any time without disconnecting and reconnecting cables and this setup allows that (also allows making my TV's sound system a broadcast station for all my music!)

How to create a digital interactive magazine for HTML5

Hi everybody! I am very new to the inDesign program and have been looking online all day trying to find a solution for us. I want to create and publish a digital interactive magazine for the web using an .indd file. I am wanting to add audio and video that people can click on while flipping through the digital magazine. It has to be html5 based and I can't seem to find a solution for what we need. I have been trying to export an interactive pdf but it never seems to play the audio. I use the media panel to import my audio and link it using the buttons and forms panel.
Im sorry if this is just another repost that you have seen but I truly can't find an answer to my problem. any help would be great!

IPhoto vs Canon's Digital Photo Professional for RAW

Quick question after not finding much while searching the forums:
I’m currently using a MBP C2D, 2.33/2G ram, all updated software. Just got a Canon Rebel XTi, finally putting aside my Canon 35mm (for now anyway).
Can someone offer feedback on iPhoto vs Canon's Digital Photo Professional for RAW editing for someone with limited experience with RAW editing?
I understand there are also other options out there but I'm trying to compare what is basically free/already provided, perhaps upgrading once I become more experienced with Digital/RAW editing.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Nearly all, if not all, professionals use RAW in their shooting. There are a lot of advantages to that if you know what you're doing and need the extreme control over the image that pros usually do. I hang out in the iView MediaPro forum. Over there it's nearly all RAW users and I've learned a little of what they can do with fine tuning a photo. It is considerable. But for amateurs like us, jpgs are more than enough.
I've edited and saved a jpg file many times to see if I could detect the "degradation" and couldn't. If one was going to make a very, very large sized print then you might see something after a number of saves. Personally I use Photoshop for my editing and on "special" photos I create a psd file, duplicate the base layer and do my edits on the duplicate layer. That way I can easily compare to the original, and keep the resolution quality the same throughout. But, only on special projects.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB file backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. I had the same problem so I decided to try going to website on the back. (DisneyOzMovieandOffers.com). It will take you to a page that says to redeem code, enter the code that is given to you and click enter. It will give you options of where you would like to download it from. Click iTunes and it will give you the correct code to download the movie from iTunes.

Dont buy a Western Digital, get a Hitachi or Seagate (Toshiba is made by Hitachi). These are the most reliable, and the HD used inside Macs.
ALL HD can be made compatible with your MAC (including a WD if you already bought same), ......they just need to be formatted for the Mac platform, format them in Disk Utility as Mac OSX extended journaled.

For windows Server 2008 and Server 2012 you may need enable Desktop Experience Feature
The Desktop Experience Feature enables a bunch of stuff that is by default present on a desktop OS. Most importantly it includes Themes, Windows Media player and the Aero related features. You will have to enable it form the Server Manager. The "Turn Windows features on or off" / "Add remove windows components" has all been rolled into the Server Manager now.
Server Manager > Features > Desktop Experience
Installing the Desktop Experience feature does not enable them. You have to manually set them up.
After that Windows Server 2008 == Vista x64
Windows Server 2008 R2 == Windows 7 x64
Windows Server 2012 == Window 8 x64
So just use the appropriate desktop drivers - that are available

Digital Sales Statistics for Canada

Hi! I have been searching high and low for current (within the last 2 years) digital sales statistics for itunes. Statistics Canada had very dated information, Factor and Socan didn't have that information and Canada doesn't seem to have an equivalent to billboard magazine. I would like statistics for Canada, the U.S. and North America as a whole. I am also looking to see if there are statistics for the main genres. If anyone has any information about this or has an idea of where to find it I would greatly appreciate your help!!!!

If you're referring to the iTunes Store, Apple does not publish specific sales statistics for any country. For general statistics, try:
