1st gen replacement never received box

I requested the replacement box back in november 2011 and now it has been 7 months
I never received the box and now the status is "repair cancelled"
what do I do??

Yes. They'll still replace your iPod. Several users have indicated that they have returned damaged iPods and were still given a replacement iPod.

8GB. Nice little unit when used by itself. BUT don't even think about connecting to any docks or other third party interfaces 'cause IT AIN"T GONNA WORK RIGHT!
Both of my Pioneer car stereos have the same problem with both of my 6th generation iPod Nanos:
The first time you connect the iPod, the radio recognizes the it and works. BUT THE NEXT TIME YOU TURN THE RADIO ON THE DISPLAY FREEZES. The only way to get it working is to disconnect the dock connector from the iPod and reconnect it. THIS ***** AND IS NOT THE WAY THESE UNITS BEHAVED WITH MY 1ST GENERATION NANO. Both of my new 6th generation ipods have been restored (several times) and have the latest firmware which, as of this writing is 1.2 and still the problem persists.
My two Pioneer car stereos that don't work right with the iPod Nano 6th generation:
Pioneer DEH-P4900iB
CD-i200 iPod cable for above
Scion XB iPod enabled head unit T1808
I've made an AppleCare adviser aware of the problem but I doubt that this information will ever make it to engineering so I don't have much hope that this will ever be fixed.
I would suggest that all 6th generation Nano users check it's compatibility with any third party interfaces they have and report their findings on this discussion board. Perhaps we can get Apple to FIX THIS SERIOUS PROBLEM.

Hello! Not a problem, because you will get a Ipod Nano 1st generation as a replacement, not a new / latest generation.

Empty box for 1st generation ipod product replacement never received. What to do?

I submit the product replacement request for my 1st generation ipod: from the request status it results that Apple sent me the empty box to sent back the ipod but I never received it. What can I do?

Do you receive a brand new iPod or a refurbished one?
I couldn't find online anywhere or get in touch with anyone from Apple over the phone regarding this question. I don't really want to get back a refurbished non-current generation one, so I wanted to make sure before I sent my away, so if anyone knows, thank you!

Does anybody know which company ships the "repaired" ipod back in Germany? We received an email including a tracking number which does not work. And the iPod did not reach me so far :-(

IPod Nano 1st Gen Replacement Program Problem

I recently sent my iPod Nano 1st Gen off for the replacement program.
I wanted to make sure I would be receiving a refurbished 1st Gen back, not one of the latest gens, so I called Apple Care to confirm this.
I'm really fond of the 1st Gen and would like to keep it as a collectors item, plus mine was in relatively good condition as well (And absolutely love the scroll wheel).
The woman I spoke to at Apple Care assured me that I would receive a refurbished 1st Gen iPod Nano, she was very clear on this.
I sent off and just received a box in the mail with replacement. To my dismay, they replaced it with a 6th GEN.
I don't want to sound ungrateful, and I do appreciate Apple keeping up customer service even for old Apple products.
But I specifically asked if a 1st gen would be returned to me, which was not the case.
I called Apple care again today, and they said they didn't have the stock and provided me with whatever they could.
Had I been told there was a chance I wouldn't receive a refurbished 1st gen in return, I wouldn't have sent it off in the first place.
Can't be too upset with Apple, but not particularly happy. Any advice would be appreciated.

Ipod shuffle 1st gen replacement parts

so my 1st gen ipod shuffles usb ribbon cable is broken where can i buy a replacement part. the part looks like a filmsy ribbon cable with a usb 2.0 at the end.

Just a quick follow up... in case this is driving people off from the question. I dont think that using Linux will affect the iPod so it wont be a linux problem

I heard about the recall program of the 1st generation. So I went to the nearest iStore and applied for the said program 3 weeks ago. I got a text yestrday that I can already get the replacement unit. But when I got the replacement (iPod nano 6th Generation), it was just placed in a plastic. Thought it came with a box?

I read about the problems and the program online and applied and was found that my nano is part of those affected.
Received confirmed email that a package was being sent out but i applied on sun 13th november and have not received
this package for this whole week, Apple said to expect it with 2 business days. If i have not received the package within the expected time
stated how can i send it back within the 10 days time limit they've placed to resend the nano to them?
Does anyone know what mail service they are using to send the nano replacement package out to customers in the UK?
I'm guessing it's probably royal mail (-_-)*
What is the best thing to do, as i don't want to keep a ticking time bomb around the house, and the email is sent from don't reply address?
So there is no way to contact them from my personal replacement status page, hence why i have posted here for any advice please?

I sent my ipod around nov 20th and they received in on the nov 24th and today on december 20th i received an email saying they are sending me my replacement and they gave me the serial number for my new ipod
so i decided to register the serial number and it turns out that the ipod replacement is the 6th generation
I REPEAT YOU WILL GET A 6TH GEN. IPOD NANO!!!
I'm not sure what size but probably 8 gb

so i checked the online service Egypt is not one of them so i searched for the premium resellers as I read on the page.
the ipod is eligibal for replacement.
I contacted the first store "ishop" http://store.ishop.com.eg/index.php?xlspg=contact_us , they told me they don't know about it.
so I called the second store "Bestbuy" http://www.bestbuyegypt.net/p/page.aspx?p=contact_us , they told me yes we know about it and they sent apple a mail to know about it because they dont know who is going to pay for the replacement and i quote "Is it going to be the customer who is going to pay for the new product or the store or Apple".
so i called a third store "trade line" http://www.tradelinestores.com/pages.php?pageid=5 , they told me "in egypt we dont do any replacements".
so what shall i do?? i contacted apple in the us and told me there is nothing to do but to go to apple resellers. And this is what i did and told him.

Ipod nano 1st Gen replacement program error

Hi!
I'm having the same error in every try. I introduce the serial number, my Apple ID and password, my address and when I press "Continue" I always get next message:
We're sorry, there was a problem processing your request.
Please try again in a few minutes or return to the Apple Support site.
I have tried several times every day in a week from different computer windows or mac and always get the same error.
Anybody knows something about this?

Its now October and Im still getting the same error as I did last year.... anyone know whats going on? I would really like to get a replacement of my nano.
