1st time lucky?

Dear group, i've been lurking around here for some while now, reading up on all the tutorials and back posts because i've set myself the challenge of building my own computer!  I gathered all the parts together (which i've listed in my sig) and set to it today.
First thing that went wrong (so i thought) was the PSU.  I plugged it into the mains and nothing happened!  I connected a fan to it and nothing happened.  I didn't realise that it won't work unless its connected to the motherboard.  One for the FAQ maybe?
Eventually i got it all put together, booted up and looked for a prompt to press DEL to enter setup.  Of course there isn't one is there, you have to hit DEL as soon as it boots up.
Eventually got that sussed, went into setup, set the FSB settings, checked the CPU temp (43*c, is that ok)  Then i installed XP Pro and its working a treat.
I know its customary to write to forums for help or too complain but this post is just to thank all those who went before me and left me the knowledge to achieve this little project so easily.

Why thank you all very much indeed, most kind of you.  I'm pleased to say (touch wood) that my new computer is whirring away merrily and no probs so far.  I always fancied trying my hand at making a computer myself and i figured the best way to find out was to read read read, and it paid off.
