1to1 mail: Groupware Integration: transfer attachements

Dear experts,
We are setting up One to One e-mail integration with Microsoft Outlook so Account Managers are able to transfer specific e-mails from their Outlook account into CRM. We have taken all the required steps and are able to transfer the e mails into CRM but attachments are not getting transferred. In addition the status of the created activity in CRM is always completed. Therefor I have two questions:
Questions:
(1) Is transfer of attachments supported in the One to One e-mail scenario? If so what needs to be done additionally.
(2) Is is possible to influence the status of the incoming mail by using standard BAPI'?
I appreciate your help
Regards,
Erik

Hello Erik,
what CRM Version/Service Pack do you use?

  • Client Based Groupware Integration, task transfer problem

    Hi,
I am using client based groupware integration on our 7.0 CRM system. But when I synchronize with outlook, owner of outlook task is not maintained on the CRM task document. On the CRM task, owner partner function is '00000022'. Which partner determination procedure I should use? And which access sequence is the true one?
    Thanks.

    Hi Manfred,
we struggle with the same topic. First of all we implemented GW Version 8.013, which brought some positive results - compared to 8.010
Still we weren't able to to assign the GWI profile to our business role (we assigned the role, but didn't get the expected results)
Please keep me informed, whether you succeed.
    Regards,
    Jürgen

  • CRM 5.2 groupware integration error....

    Hi,
I've set up Server side groupware integration of CRM 5.2 with MS outlook. The BPs are getting exchanged from CRM to Outlook and vice versa.
Activities and Tasks are flowing from CRM to Outlook.
But when Outlook tasks and activities are saved, the connector creates an error dump file. This is created for new tasks and activities as well as for any changes to tasks and activities with source as CRM.
    The error message is:
<subject>Organizer's mail id is not mapped to a business partner in CRM online</subject>
<description>Organizer's mail id is not mapped to a business partner in CRM online</description>
The employee is maintained in Org Structure with email ID. Are there any other setting to be maintained for email ID mapping??
    Thanks!
    Cheers,
    Aarthi.

    Pls check the following:
    1) Check Groupware Connector locks:
Check the Current Locks in the AdminTool.exe, that is available in the Connector installation folder. Check if the current user (from which the appointment or contact change is triggered) is locked. If the user is locked, attempt unlock user, however if the user continues to be in the locked state, report the problem to the components EP-KM-CRM-EXC (MS Exchange) or EP-KM-CRM-LOT (Lotus Domino).
    2) Check UserList.xml:
Open the UserList.xml, that is available in the connector installation folder and check  the availability of the current useru2019s id (SMTP  address of the organizer from which the appointment or contact change is triggered).
If the user id does not exist in the file, provide an update for the corresponding Business Partner from CRM. Before giving the update check if the smtp address is assigned for that partner in the Address Dependent Communication section. If not, assign the correct email address and provide an update for the Business partner, After that update check if the id is included in this file.
u2022     If the ID is included in UserList.xml, restart the connector service and provide an update for that appointment or contact in groupware and check if this is transferred to CRM.
u2022     If the ID is not included in the UserList.xml, even after the update of Business Partner from CRM, report the problem to the CRM-MW-GWI-GWA component.
    3) Check Applist.xml:
    a)     Open the Applist.xml, that is available in the connector installation folder and check the availability of appid=ACT.
    If that is not available,
Navigate to the u201CMaintain Groupware Object Selection Fieldsu201D and u201CMaintain Groupware Object Selection and Retrievalu201D IMG views, and check if ACT is available there. If not, maintain BUPA information over there. And trigger the download of  GWA_GWO_SELRET. (To get help regarding this, refer the Groupware Integration setup and load guide). After that download is complete, restart the connector service. After that, check if ACT is available in applist.xml. If not, report the problem to CRM-MW-GWI-GWA component.
    b)     Check if the category you have entered in the category field of the Appointment or Task, starts with CRM_ACT. If not, prefix the category with CRM_ACT. (To create Master category list, refer the Groupware Integration setup and load guide)
    3) Check Email ID u2013 USERLIST mapping:
Select  the email ID of the organizer in the Appointment or Task. Navigate to the MBMANDTSTORE table, and select the record for which MBKEY = {email-id} (all the email Ids will be present in Upper case) and MBGROUP = u2018USERLSITu2019.
u2022     If the record does not exist, check if the Email ID is assigned for that partner in the address dependent communication of the Business Partner master data. If not, assign the correct email ID and save this change in the Business Partner application. Check if this record can be found after this change.
u2022     Otherwise report the problem to CRM-MW-GWI-GWA component.

  • CRM groupware integr: Mapping additional customer data

    Hi,
we're running CRM groupware integration for replicating CRM contact persons to outlook private folder. This works fine in principle. However, I've got a question:
When taking a look at an outlook contact one is able to maintain several phone numbers, e.g. "Business, Business2, Private, Private2, ..." as well as several mail addresses "E-Mail, E-Mail2, E-Mail3". By default the default phone number of the business parter in CRM is replicated to phone number "Business" in outlook. Same logic for mobile and fax number. Is there a way to replicate the other numbers and mail addresses (non-default) to the outlook contact and provide them under the corresponding fields (e.g. "Business2", "E-Mail2")?
Thanks for any inputs & kind regards
    Wolfgang Mayer

    Hi Praveen,
    do you mean
    - the email addresses maintained in the standard address
    or
    - the default email address?
The standard address is marked as BUT020-XDFADR, the default (standard) mail address (in the standard address) is marked as ADR6-FLGDEFAULT.
    Pls clarify this issue.
    Thanks & regards

  • Transfer attachement to xi

    Hello,
After reading lots of threads i still can't figure out the best solution to transfer attachements to xi.
We are on XI SP10. EBP SRM4.0.
In the standalone configuration on ebp we transfer orders with XML output to Xi via the rfc adapter.
The requirement is now to transfer to xi also the attachements of the orders.
In standard only the url of the attachement is transferred with the function BAPI_POEC_XML_SEND. attachement is sent by HTTP to server.
So as sending through RFC adapter won't work we would need to transfer the attachements in another way.
Then i thought of using proxy on ebp to transfer only the attachements to xi.
Here i'm facing issue that the connection to integration builder is not working.
But we have Kernel 6.40 it should be ok.
Anyway fm SPROX_CHECK_IFR_RESPONSE is not working.
Has somebody any idea what would be the best solution to transfer attachements?
    Best regards,
    Laurent.

    for proxy configuraiton:
Make sure that you have completed your entry in SLDAPICUST.
    Do the following steps,
    1. Transaction SXMB_ADM (refer to the Configuration Guide, chapter 5)
    - Role of System: Application System
    - Corresponding Integration Server:
    dest://<your_sm59_http_destination>
    2. Ensure that the RFC destinations LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI are
maintained and working (refer to the Configuration Guide, chapter 5.3)
    3. Run SLDCHECK to verify that the connection to the System Landscape
    Directory works.
    4. Check that the Integration Repository is running and data is maintained there.

  • Groupware Integration in CRM 2007

    Hello All,
How do I synchronize mails to the CRM Server from the outlook, and send reply's from there?
How can I do Seemless Synchronization from outlook to CRM and CRM to Oulook, I had maintained all the parameters, and followed the Docyumentation Guides
    I had gone thorugh
    1) Groupware Integration Guide
    2) Groupware Connector
Can anyone of you help on these?

    Martin,
    1)  We don't plan on going live with client groupware, as it is hard enough to get users to login to CRM and do their work, yet alone remind them to synch up their calendar.
    2)  We are live with CRM 2007 integrated to Notes 7.  Thank you for your assistance during that process.
We currently are connected to three notes servers.  We have a second phase to deploy the integration to at least one remote notes server over the WAN.
In the next couple months we plan on migrating over to Domino 8.5.  Our Notes admin have upgraded the dev notes box to 8.5 but we are still using Notes 7 mailboxes and a notes 7 client on the connector.  The only issue we had was to restart the connector and proxy in order for it work.
Thank you again for all the help you have provided and soliciting this feedback.
    Thank you,
    Stephen

  • CRM 2007 Integration with Lotus Notes 8.0 (Groupware Integration)

    Hi
We are doing CRM 2007 Integration with Lotus Notes 8.0. So i need your help in this regard.I have the following documents with me.....
    a) SAP CRM Groupware Connector Relase 4.0 (Installation Guide)
    b) SAP CRM Groupware Connector Relase 4.0 (Administrative Guide)               c) MapBox 4.0 sp 11             &
    d) Groupware Integration installation Guide.
We have started with Groupware connector Release 4.0 Installation guide
    We stucked at
5.3 Installing Lotus Domino Groupware Connector
    Procedure
    1. Log on to your host using prepared Groupware Connector's administrative account.
    2. Launch setup.exe
    3. Click Next on the Welcome screen.
    4. Read the text on the Installation Prerequisites screen and check if your computer meets all the software
and hardware requirements. If yes, press Next.
    5. Select the type of SAP Groupware Connector you want to install. Check if you want to install instance of

    Hi Naveen,
thanks for your detailed description. This is exactly the way how the Client GWI is getting set up. one little remark from my side on the steps.
The user field are not required to be filled if you use Lotus Notes. this is only for the case of MS Outlook where you can start the synch from the OL Screen as well.
The password field is not used with either groupware system. So you leave it blank and with the first replication run you are asked to type (and maybe save) your password. it is there as the application is shared with Mobiel sales as well and therfore we could not get rid of it.
    Supported platforms
In general both the server and client GWI were tested with Lotus 8.0 and CRM 7.0.
For server GWI Domino 8 is already supported for greater CRM 5.0, so should work with LD 8.0.
The installation guide for GWI is available here ...

  • Acrobat 9.1.3 freezes my computer when I try to send an e-mail with a PDF attachment

Whenever I have a PDF open and want to send it to anyone via e-mail by clicking on the mail icon in the tool bar, it will open MS Outlook (2003) just fine. I can type whatever message I like and everything seems OK. The problem comes in when I press the "Send" button from Outlook. I get an error message and my computer completely freezes for about 10-15 minutes unless I shut it down before then. This just started happening recently--maybe a few months ago. I have Windows Professional XP and MS Office 2003, as well as Adobe 9.0 Pro (with the updates installed as they became available). I don't know why this is suddenly happening but it is quite maddening. It seems I can only send a PDF by first opening a blank e-mail message and then attaching the PDF, so the convenience of e-mailing a document through Acrobat seems to be a thing of the past. Has anyone else out there experienced this? There were way too many discussions for me to read through, so I'm creating my own here. If anyone can help, I'm open to any ideas or suggestions. Thanks very much.

I have the same issue and I'm trying to access the link provided for the AOL Community Support. I was able to type my question, but it keeps asking me to provide my date of birth, gender, and my name (for verification purposes). After filling out that little box multiple times, my question has still not been posted to the forum. Also, I was able to use Google Chrome to send email attachments through AOL with no problems.

You need a third party app. Take a look at some of these on this Google page.

  • Email Integration VS Groupware Integration in CRM 4.0

We have a requirement to replicate certain business activity types created in CRM thru' Portal interface to Lotus Notes as Calendar entries. We are in the process
of configuring the Groupware integration part to accomplish this.
    The questions are...
    1) Do we have to download all account and their contacts from CRM into the public folder of Lotus Notes for the successful creation of CRM activities
    as Lotus Note Calendar entries?
    2) Can we filter the replication of activities to Lotus Notes by their transaction types?  We need to send only certain activity types to Lotus notes.
We have lots of Email notifications to be sent to the company's Lotus Notes Email IDs as well as some external Email IDs. If an Action or Workflow is used
for these Email notifications it is my understanding that the SMTP comes with SAP CRM will take care of this Email routing. The groupware integration is not a
must for such Email notifications and it s required only for the replication of Activities to Lotus Notes. Please clarify.
Please let me know the details of configuration or any cookbooks available for the configuration of Email Integration and Groupware integration in CRM 4.0.

    Hi,
If you plan to use Server Side Groupware Integration then,
    1) Do we have to download all account and their contacts from CRM into the public folder of Lotus Notes for the successful creation of CRM activities
    as Lotus Note Calendar entries?
    >>The answer would be "YES".However we cannot download Business Activities in bulk to Groupware. The Business Activity has to be individually created and synchronized.
2)Can we filter the replication of activities to Lotus Notes by their transaction types? We need to send only certain activity types to Lotus notes.
    >>YES. This is possible by maintaining the used transaction type in the table view CRMV_ICAL_ACTM.
Iam not sure about Email notifications.
But you can create Activities in CRM and invite attendees and these attendees will get the Meeting requests provided the "Calendar Maintenance" flag is set for them.
For more information please check "Groupware Integration Setup and Load Guide" available in help.sap.com.
Please read through SAP Note 908571 for more technical information.

How can you add an image in Mail without being an attachment?
In otherwords I'd like to put my logo in the email not as an attachment but as an image.
Is there a simpel solution to this problem?

    PBN1 wrote:

    You don't.
It's not possible. The e-mail protocol is designed for text; anything else has to go as an attachment.
Different mail clients (such as Mail.app, the mail client bundled with Mac OS X) may have different ways of handling such attachments, but they are still attachments. Each mail client has its own rules and methods, so one may display a picture as if it were in the body of the message, but another client may do something completely different.
A way of faking it is to format your message in HTML (which is a kind of text). The image is hosted on a remote server, not added to the message; instead, you include a link to it in the body of the message, as you would when building a web page. (This is also what the two tips helpfully provided by X423424X do, except that the link to the image is added in the signature, rather than the body of the message.) What exactly happens to it is, again, at the discretion of the mail client. In my case, for instance, displaying images in HTML messages is turned off, and will stay resolutely off.

    SRM Tech

    Hello SRMTECH,
You have to do some configuration settings in SPRO
    SPRO>Supplier Relationship Management>SRM Server>Cross-Application Basic Settings>Define Settings for Attachments.
We are also working for the same requirement. We have did following configuration / customization to achieve this.
    - Activated BADI "BBP_CREATE_BE_RQ_NEW" in SRM and set the indicator as follow:
    cs_ctrl_att-BE_DOC_TYPE = 'SRM'.
    cs_ctrl_att-BE_storage_cat = 'DMS_C1_ST'.
    cs_ctrl_att-TRANSFER_ACTIVE = 'X'.
    - In ECC Side T.code DC10 and defined document type for SRM with following
Add a New Document Type SRM (if not already exists). Set 'Use KPro', 'Version Assign' and 'Change
Docs'. Set the Internal and External Number Range (02 and 01). Use MCDOKZNR as Number Exit.
Ver No. Incr = 1 and Set the File Size (Usually 10000000 bytes).
Once the Document Type is created, define Object links to PO Item and Pur Req Item. Use - Screen
Number 247 and Screen Number 248 with Valuation Object of EBAN and EKPO for Objects EBAN
(PReq) and EKPO (PO) for Doc Type SRM.
After doing this changes we were able to transfer attachements but we are still facing one issue as we were not able to open that particular document in ECC / R3.

    Hi All,
I Want to Implement a FileXI--Mail Scenario With An Attachment
I Want to Send a Text File From the File System As An Attachment to the Mail.
Can We Do this With out Doing JAVA Or XSLT Mappings in this ???
Please Give me the Steps That I Have to Follow
    Regards
    Babu

    Babu,
I am not sure how complex is your file sturcture and the mapping. But we can also achieve without java or xslt mapping also. Please check these weblogs:

    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/03/07/mail-adapter-xi--how-to-implement-dynamic-mail-address
Also you have to use module swap for sending the attachment as txt file. Please check this weblog for this:
