Hi rissato,
I just wanted to clarify a point for you. You may NOT reuse a voucher. A discount voucher is for 1-time use. So, you can use it for your first exam attempt, but you will need to pay in full for your 2nd exam attempt.
I also want to remind you of our retake policy.
- Candidates must wait 14 days before retaking a failed exam.
- Candidates may retake an online non-proctored exam at any time.
- Candidates may not retake a passed exam at any time.
- Candidates may not retake a beta exam at any time.
The retake policy was put in place to protect the integrity of the Oracle Certification Program exam content and allow the candidate additional time to prepare for a failed exam. Please note that violation of the retake policy in any way, including but not limited to, registering for and retaking an exam under a new Prometric ID within the 14-day waiting period, is against policy and will be treated as a violation of the Exam Retake Policy. If a candidate creates a new ID in order to retake the exam within the 14-day waiting period, the results of the retaken exam will be invalidated. No refunds or credit will be provided by Oracle or any of its partners.
Failure to adhere to this policy is a direct violation the Oracle Certification Program Candidate Agreement that you agreed to at the time you took the exam and could result in the additional actions such as (but not limited to) revocation of credentials that you hold or being banned form the Oracle Certification Program or barred from taking future Oracle exams.

  • Installing SOA suite 10.1.3.4 on weblogic server 10g

    Hi,
    My client has weblogic server 10g and they want to link SOA suite 10.1.3.4 with it. I got hold an Oracle doc on installing SOA 10.1.3.4 on weblogic 9.2. The only difference is the patch no which is applied after installing 10.1.3.4 patch.
    I am unsure if the patch p7337034_101340_GENERIC, which is meant for weblogic 9.2 is compatible with 10g.
    If there is a separate patch for weblogic 10g please help me?
    Thanks
    Prabal

    SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 is unfortunately not certified for WLS 10. The first release that will be certified is going to be 11g, but this will be 10.3.
    If you want SOA Suite on WLS then you need to install on 9.2.
    cheers

  • Cannot run PAPI in Weblogic Server 10g - Error 500--Internal Server Error

    I use Jdev 11g to create an ADF (PAPI) and deploy it to Weblogic 10g.
    The code is copied from Jdev 10g. The PAPI works fine in when running in Jdev 10g
    However, after I deploy the ADF (PAPI) created using Jdev 11g to the Weblogic server. The following error appears.
    How to modify the code? Should I add the fuego lib to the weblogic domain?
    I try to add the fuegopapi-client.jar to Weblogic Server. But it shows error: Unable to access the selected application. java.lang.NullPointerException
    BPM is running in BPM standalone. I do not use PAPI webservice

    While still using PAPI, try also adding b1oracle.jar, b1base.jar and b1util.jar to your ADF project.
    These jars could be found from your BPM Studio installation.

  • Oracle weblogic Server 10g R3 -manual JMS migration and reverse migration

    Folks
    we are trying to use manual JMS migration with WLST scripts /console and noticed several issues in Oracle weblogic serevr 10g R3 .(Currently not interested in using automatic server migration stuff)
    1)Our use case is to be able to manually migrate JMS with persistent file store in case of long lasting hardware failure (so we need this working with the source server down)
    Here are my observations
    1) The console based manual migration works only when both the source and destination are up (ie for doing migration during scheduled maintainance and not for our use case)
    2) i tried wlst scripts which works partially for our use case
    wls:/jmsmigrationclustertestdomain/edit !> migrate('sb_ms1', 'sb_ms2','true','fa
    lse','all')
    Migrating JMS and JTA services from 'sb_ms1' to destination 'sb_ms2' ...
    Migration completed successfully.
    question is how do you migrate this back (reverse migration)
    I tried a couple of wlst scripts which all were unsuccessful in migrating the services back. Syntax is also extremly confusing as the weblogic.Admin commands seem to be aware of "migratable targets" (such as "sb_ms1 migratable") but WLST doesnt seem to understand "sb_ms1 migratable"
    If I just restart sb_ms1 without running any scripts, it complains about JMS artifacts(not being present) as they are migrated onto the other instance
    I have this whole setup working on 9.2mp3 with weblogic.admin scripts
    Thanks for any guidance on this

    Hi,
    I guess you are using the default (system generated) migratable target names for the clustered servers, that have names ends with "(migratable)".
    Are you performing the migration from "wls:/YOUR_ADMIN_SERVER_NAME/domainRuntime/MigratableServiceCoordinatorRuntime/the-MigratableServiceCoordinator" ?
    Can you please post the exact WLST commands that you tried, syntax of the arguments and any erorr messages taht you have got while performing this operation?
    Thanks
    Kats

  • Starting Weblogic Server in Development Mode

    Hello,

  • How to avoid time wastage in starting & Stopping weblogic server during development ?

    It is very frustrating to stop the server and start the server for any small changes made in the application.
    Is developer supposed to restart the server for for any small changes made along with the testing?
    One restart(Stop and Start) activity takes more than 10-15 mins. in debug mode.
    1) I make some changes then I start server in debug mode
    2) I see some mistakes in my bean code
    3) I change my bean.java or Impl.java
    4) I make a futile effort to reload Jars and reload the page
    5) It never takes my changes
    6) Only changes in properties of jspx components will accept the changes at the page refresh
    6) I add new component or new binding to jspx page, This will not even pay heed to re-deployment, I need restart the server
    7) I work only 7 hrs a day (1 hr-lunch)! 7*60=420 mins.... lets say I make code changes 10 times a day 10*20(200) half day
       is gone in just restarting server/redeploying changes.
    8) So frustrating..... !!!
    Que:
    1) Is the developer is supposed to imagine all the errors beforehand and code so that he wont waste time in restarting?
    2) How nice it would be that you just recompile the changes and you get to see your changes just by refresh...
       that is why pl/sql development is so fast.
    3) Is there any way to do it like that? or Are there are any quick tricks or precautions to avoid restarting the server.
    4) Am I not following the correct development/deployment methods?
    It will be really great help for me if you experts guide me on the practise you follow for restarting/redeploying.
    Thanks
    Rahul

    Rahul, please tell us your jdev version!
    1) this always helps!  In the old days you only compiled once a day and if the compiler found an error you had to wait a whole day until you got the next chance.  Do feel privileged that you can compile multiple times. A restart is not nessecary in every case, but depending on the version you hit to restart more often.  You should try to find out why it takes so long and minimize this time!  Using 11.1.1.7.0 i start my server in less then a minute.
    2) answer depends on the jdev version, but you don't get the speed of pl/sql for wenn application development.
    3) one thing to do is to define the jdbc connections used in the server or then use jndi to access the resource. This way you don't lose a minute or connection stopping the server.  Next it's best to keep the server as clean as possible. Read the log when the server starts and stops you get plenty of info what takes how long.  Then start optimizing.
    4) no, your method is ok.

  • Oracle WebLogic Portal 10g Certification

    Hello,
    Oracle provides instructor led training only for Oracle WebLogic Portal 10g. I'm wondering, where can i buy self study CD or kit for Oracle WebLogic Portal 10g Certification?

    Hello,
    I have found certification for "Oracle Weblogic Portal 10g Developer" in the oracle university site. The latest version of BEA weblogic being 10.3 and we are currently working on the same, I would like to know whether there is certification exam for Weblogic Portal 10.3 Developer.A assume you have found:
    [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=140]
    [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=282]
    [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=41&p_exam_id=1Z0_110]
    Which is the relevant exam. You can double change by going down the list of ceriifcation exams:
    [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=42]
    My understanding is that for developers often releases are broadly similar and therefore the effort in updating the exam is simply unsustainable. For say Oracle DBA exams the situation may be different as their may be signifcant changes/enhancements between releases that are important to be aware of to manager the database effectively.
    Please be aware I am not massively familiar with weblogic and myy anwer is not authorative.

  • Weblogic Server 9.2 - JMS File Store not working as expected.

    Hi,
    I am facing a problem at the server startup possibly due to huge size of the JMS File Store created.
    My question is that our application receives messages via MDB (container managed),
    Even after successfully processing the message, the message which is logged in the File Store is not deleted.
    How can i make sure that a message which is successfully processed is not logged in the file store?
    (considering container managed transactions do not require acknowledgement-mode set in the descriptor, altough i have it specified)
    Find the the stack trace on the server log below:

    Hi,
    It seems there are two problems going on here:
    (1) Forceful shutdowns should not (must not) normally corrupt the file store. There may be a bug in WL, or it may be the admin is arbitrarily deleting some file store files while leaving others in place (not supported).
    (2) "Even after successfully processing the message, the message which is logged in the File Store is not deleted."
    This is a strong indicator that there's an application error and the message is not actually getting deleted. The file store size is proportional to the number of current messages (successfully processing/acknowledging/committing a received message frees space for new messages), and is not proportional to the number of successfully processed messages.
    I think it's likely that the application isn't actually successfully processing the message but is instead receiving a message somehow and is either:
    (A) throwing an exception from within an XA-or-non-XA-MDB or auto-ack-onMessage() and somehow forcing the message into a state where its not being redelivered for reprocessing
    (B) specifying a transacted session and failing to call session.commit()
    (C) specifying an XA transaction capable receive and failing to call commit
    (D) specifying a "client acknowledge" mode and failing to call acknowledge .
    For evidence, check the console statistics for the destination after "successfully processing" all sent messages: the value of "current" + "pending" should be zero once all processing completes, the value of "received (aka total)" should match the sent message count. If the "current" + "pending" value is non-zero, then this is an indication there are messages that were not successfully processed.

  • ClassCircularityError in JAAS Authorization with Weblogic Server 10.3

    We are implementing JAAS authorization in which roles and policies are stored in a custom JAAS policy file and users are stored in the embedded LDAP server provided by Weblogic. We are facing problem is authorizing users using the custom policy created.
    We have implemented the JAAS authentication service with weblogic server 10g R3 and user's information stored in embedded LDAP server provided WLS. Given below are the details of implementation for JAAS Authorization:
    Following are the custom classes created:
    1. Custom Principal Class
    public class Principal implements java.security.Principal, java.io.Serializable {
    private String name;
    public Principal() {
    name = "";
    public Principal(String newName) {
    name = newName;
    public boolean equals(Object o) {
    if (o == null)
    return false;
    if (this == o)
    return true;
    if (o instanceof Principal) {
    if (((Principal) o).getName().equals(name))
    return true;
    else
    return false;
    else
    return false;
    public int hashCode() {
    return name.hashCode();
    public String toString() {
    return name;
    public String getName() {
    return name;
    2. Custom Permission Class
    public class ActionPermission extends Permission {
         public ActionPermission(String name) {
              super(name);
         @Override
         public boolean equals(Object obj) {
              if ((obj instanceof ActionPermission)
                        && ((ActionPermission) obj).getName().equals(this.getName())) {
                   return true;
              } else {
                   return false;
         @Override
         public String getActions() {
              return "";
         @Override
         public int hashCode() {
              return this.getName().hashCode();
         @Override
         public boolean implies(Permission permission) {
              if (!(permission instanceof ActionPermission)) {
                   return false;
              String thisName = this.getName();
              String permName = permission.getName();
              if (this.getName().equals("*")) {
                   return true;
              if (thisName.endsWith("*")
                        && permName.startsWith(thisName.substring(0, thisName
                                  .lastIndexOf("*")))) {
                   return true;
              if (thisName.equals(permName)) {
                   return true;
              return false;
    Following are the configuration changes:
    1. Added custom policy to weblogic.policy.
    grant Principal com.scotia.security.authorization.Principal "test" <User defined in the embedded LDAP server of WLS>{
    permission com.scotia.security.authorization.permission.ActionPermission "viewScreen";
    2. Set the java security manager in startWeblogic.cmd file.
    %JAVA_HOME%\bin\java %JAVA_VM% %MEM_ARGS% %JAVA_OPTIONS% -Dweblogic.Name=%SERVER_NAME% -Djava.security.manager -Djava.security.policy=%WL_HOME%\server\lib\weblogic.policy %PROXY_SETTINGS% %SERVER_CLASS%
    3. Set Realm "Security Model" to "Custom Roles and Policies".
    Right now we are facing the given below exception:
    java.lang.ClassCircularityError: com/scotia/security/authorization/THORPrincipal
         at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method)
         at java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java:247)

         at sun.security.provider.PolicyFile.getPermissions(PolicyFile.java:1231)
         at sun.security.provider.PolicyFile.getPermissions(PolicyFile.java:1167)
         at sun.security.provider.PolicyFile.implies(PolicyFile.java:1122)
         at weblogic.security.service.WLSPolicy.implies(Unknown Source)
         at java.security.ProtectionDomain.implies(ProtectionDomain.java:213)
         at java.security.AccessControlContext.checkPermission(AccessControlContext.java:301)
         at java.security.AccessController.checkPermission(AccessController.java:546)
         at java.lang.SecurityManager.checkPermission(SecurityManager.java:532)
         at java.lang.SecurityManager.checkRead(SecurityManager.java:871)
         at java.io.File.exists(File.java:731)
         at weblogic.utils.classloaders.DirectoryClassFinder.getSource(DirectoryClassFinder.java:36)
    Please help if anyone has some clue regarding this exception. We tried checking the jdk version used by eclipse and weblogic and found it to be same.

    1. Custom Principal Class
    public class Principal implements java.security.Principal, java.io.Serializable {Rename it. You are asking for trouble naming a class after an interface it implements.
    java.lang.ClassCircularityError: com/scotia/security/authorization/THORPrincipalWhat's that class? You haven't shown us.

  • How to start developing forms with weblogic server???

    I am a beginner. I saw someone working on developer 6i and I love the ease so I come to oracle. BUT now I find this weblogic server for desktop applications (forms) too.
    1. Please recommend me a book for developing desktop applications in weblogic server.
    2. Is it possible to use Mysql as database while developing forms in weblogic server?
    Many thanks

    I am a beginner. I saw someone working on developer 6i and I love the ease so I come to oracle. BUT now I find this weblogic server for desktop applications (forms) too.You have to keep in mind that Oracle Developer Suite 6i (Forms/Reports) is over 10 years old and was primarily a Client/Server development environment. Yes, a Forms 6i application could be deployed to the web, but infrastruction has changed many times in the 10+ years since Forms 6i was introduced.
    1. Please recommend me a book for developing desktop applications in weblogic server.Are you talking about an Oracle Forms application deployed through the WebLogic application server? If so, take a look at Developing Oracle Forms Applications or Oracle9i Developer: Developing Web Applications with Forms Builder. These are older books, but they will give you the basics of Oracle Forms development. Once you have the basics of Forms Development, then you can refer to the product documentation for specifics on the particular version of Forms you are using:
    Oracle Forms 10g Online Book - Contents or <a href="http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/index.htm>Oracle Fusion Middleware Documenation LIbrary</a> and select the Portal, Forms, Reports and Discoverer option.
    {quote2. Is it possible to use Mysql as database while developing forms in weblogic server?{quote
    You can use MySQL with your web app only if you are not using Oracle Forms! Oracle Forms will only communicate with an Oracle Database. There are methods available to access data from non-Oracle database, but they involved linking your Oracle Database to the non-Oracle database and accessing the data through the Oracle Database.
    Hope this helps,
    Craig B-)

  • How can i build application using Jdeveloper 10g for Weblogic server 10.3

    Hi,
    We have a requirement where in we want to build an SOA application using Jdeveloper 10g for Weblogic Server 10.3.
    Is there any way to make a connection to Weblogic Server 10.3 from JDeveloper 10g? If there is any way please share it with me.
    Thanks,
    Amit Kumar

    Amit,
    SOA Suite is not yet certified for WLS 10.3. You have to wait for the certification of it.
    At the moment you can't install the SOA Suite on WLS 10.3 nor connect from JDev 10.1.3 to it.

  • Migrating from Weblogic to Oracle Application Server 10g

    Hello,
    To respond to this post you will need some basic familiarity with Weblogic.
    I am currently using Weblogic Server 8.1.
    I have an admin machine which is on its own physical hardware, and multiple managed servers. The admin server is a single point of management for all of the managed servers. Each managed server lies on it's own physical hardware and are managed remotely from the admin server.
    Does Oracle Application Server have this type of architecture?
    Lets say I have salesApp.ear and I want to deploy it across multiple physical machines, where would I administer the various physical machines from, and how would I create an instance on each machine?
    Would it be an oc4j instance or an AS instance? What is the difference?

    Forget about this!
    You need a JEE5 server to work with 11g.
    In theory you can develop application for OAS 10.1.3.1 but you must be very very careful which components you use. One new component and you are not able to run it on OAS 10.1.3.1
    If you have to run your apps on OAS 10.1.3.1 stay with JDEV 10g.
