#1Z0-147 Exam question - Urgent!

Dear All,
I will take the 1Z0-147 exam tomorrow. It is my second time to take this exam. I felt the exam time(1.5 hours) is too tight to finish the 71 questions. I heard of only 66 of the 71 questions are marked ones. My question are: Should I answer all 71 items in 1.5 hours? Is there any way that I can know what are these items that will not be marked?
Thanks in advance,
Robert Song

I thing there is noway to find out which questions are marked and which do not
Best Regards

I believe a lot of exams are affected
Pearson VUE is not yet showing these prices.
Sun/MySQL had some issues recently .... see [http://dave-stokes.blogspot.com/2010/02/exams-are-us200.html]
This appears to be a typically 50% increase in costs of certification exams .... given that certification exam planning occurs over a 3 / 6 / 12 month period one wonders how this is justified ?
Or is it simply yet another web site mistake ?
Previously Sun Certifications exams were at the higher end of the scale ... Oracle's were near the lowest.

  • 1Z0-213 exam question clarification

    Hello folks,
I am preparing exam for 1Z0-213.
I don't know the answer for the following oracle receivable question. Anybody can clarify the answer of this.
    Thanks, Raghu.K
    Question :-
Your company uses a three segment accounting flexfield to represent your chart of accounts
(Company-department-account) you are now defining your autoaccounting rules in oracle receivables. you decide
That the company segment will use a constant of 01, Department will use the transaction type on the invoice, and
account will use the item on the invoice. You enter an invoice containing a transaction type called consulting invoice
(Which has been set up with a revenue account of 02-110-4110), an item called ABC400 (which has been setup with a
revenue account of 02-110-4150), and a customer called XYZ Electronics (which has been setup up with a revenue
account of 10-120-4130). What will be the resulting revenue account created by auto accounting for this invoice?
    Answer:-
    A) 02-110-4110
    B) 02-110-4150
    C) 01-110-4110
    D) 01-110-4150
    E) 01-120-4130

Where this question is coming from? Please note that the braindumps are a clear violation of the certification NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement).

  • Exam 1z0-147 - Autonomous transactions in triggers

    hi all,
I am taking my 1z0-147 exam soon and I would like to know if anyone can help me out with this dilema.
all the practice material I have used states that transactional statements such as COMMIT cannot be performed inside a trigger. However this is not completely true as you can perform commits and other ddl etc inside a trigger if you declare it as an autonomous transaction...
I would like to know if anyone can reccommend which approach I should take for answering the real exam questions. which answer is right? Can I perform a commit inside a trigger or not?
    Thanks in advance!

SteveIts probably bad practice to ask questions on certification related questions here, and your question might fail a strict interpretation of the Non-disclosure agreement.
You should probably try to get a response from the source of your legitimately obtained authorized practice questions:
This also means I best not comment directly on this, especially as I have taken 1z0-147
And Its why I've censored my quoting of your response
The key thing is to remember that the answer required is best answer from information gained in the question (and an excepton not on syllabus in unlikely to contribute to best answer ... but thats a judgement call).
If you really feel an ambiguity during the exam I think a comment button is present and you may care to use it ... but of course this loses time ... and probably will you you more than you gain. You could then possilby argue a borderline fail, but if your borderline anyway then probably the best to reasonably hope for would be a free retake, so barely worth the candle.
    I think most exams try to weed out ambiguous questions, however I recall not being best happy with certain answers I saw from an authorized source material I used for this exam. In fact I think 1z0-147 is a rehash on 1z0-101. In fact I take a right scunner to 1z0-147 and am pleased to see the arrival of 1z0-144 .... Though I half wonder if there's been more interest in 1z0-147 since 1z0-144 arrived :-;

  • Exams 1Z0-141 and 1Z0-147 Not Retiring

Retirement for exams 1Z0-141 and 1Z0-147 has been postponed. Upon further assessment, there appears to still be a significant enough group of individuals taking these two exams that we have chosen to postpone their retirement at this time. There is not a current retirement date for these two exams. Exams 1Z0-141 and 1Z0-147 will remain available after July 31, 2013.

    Certification Forum ModeratorMy opinion is:
Particularly in the 1z0-147 case this exam is more open to braindump abuse than the later 1z0-144. In both cases a candidate of one of those exams should be able to transition to studying for the other without overmuch effort. Indeed if they had passed their certification we would expect them to do that.
Having said that it may be that WDP (and others), but it is WDP that counts, have been training people towards 1z0-147/141 rather than 1z0-144/1z0-151; and if this was the case Oracle owes care to these people.
1z0-147 exams rely on training on software that can not longer be downloaded from OTN.
My concern, and it is perhaps legitimate to ask the concern, is that they is simple number counting being done here as opposed to 'why?'.
Please consider: http://www.supernanny.co.uk/TV-Show.aspx ... rewarding good behaviour, Victoria Stillwell ... etc. etc.
    Thankyou.

  • Re: OCA 1Z0-147

Hi! This is Agnit Chatterjee! I have completed the OCA 1Z0-007 exam a couple of days back and now looking forward to the preparation of the OCA 1Z0-147 exam. Wanted to know whether or not there is any time limit starting from the day of giving the first OCA exam within which I should give the second exam? I mean I have given the test on 27th of January,2011!!! Within which date should I gave the second exam or are there are no restrictions???

There are no restrictions. The only restriction you may face is if the 147 exam expires. There are currently no plans to retire this exam, but if you are not planning on taking the exam right away, you may just want to continue to check the website to ensure that the exam does not retire before you are ready to take it. We typically give approximately 3 months of notice for a retiring exam. There will be messaging on the exam page. However, as I mentioned above, there are currently no plans to retire this exam.

ThanksI normally answer questions like this, but when people particate in privately things off of the forum {thread:id=1035697} then I feel there is a possibility I may be assisting inappropriate learning and will not assist.
I again refer you to [http://blogs.oracle.com/certification/2009/05/the_route_you_choose.html] though I suspect that all that the most that may be at issue here is breach of SelftestSoftware Licensing .....
In the meantime please wonder ......
