2.0.1.1.0 Patch is out

Dear beekeepers,
it might be interesting for most of you to know that patchset 2.0.1.1.0 is out (patch 8998918 from metalink).
Hm, why does http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/beehive/patchdoc/beehive_20110_readme.htm have no list of "Resolved Issues"?
Regards, Thomas

And since last weekend, there is already 2.0.1.2.0 Cumulative Patch Set available (MOS patch 9443518).

  • Cisco ISE patching find out

    Hi all,
Would like to find out on patching process on inline posture node.
My topology is one ISE appliance node type is Admin/Policy Service Node; while another unit is inline posture node.
Both appliance have the identical software versiona and patch, namely 1.1.3.124, patch 2
I would like to update it to patch version 4.
    My question:
    01. If i apply the patch on the Admin/Polic Service Node using GUI patch maangement, will this also apply the patch to Inline Posture node?
    02. Or should i use console into Inline Posture node and using CLI way to update the patch? Anything i should mention in this process, example: stop application etc?
    Please advice, million thanks
    Noel

Resolved Issues in Cisco ISE Version 1.1.0.665—Cumulative Patch 4
Lists the issues that are resolved in Cisco Identity Services Engine Maintenance Release 1.1.0.665 cumulative patch 4.
You must deploy this patch on Cisco Identity Services Engine Maintenance Release 1.1.0.665 (with or without patch 1, 2, and 3 applied), otherwise the patch install will fail and Cisco ISE will return an error message stating, "This patch is intended to be installed on ISE 1.1.0.665."
To obtain the patch file necessary to apply the patch to Cisco ISE Release 1.1, log into the Cisco Download Software site at http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/navigator.html?a=a&i=rpm (you might be required to provide your Cisco.com login credentials), navigate to Security > Access Control and Policy > Cisco Identity Services Engine > Cisco Identity Services Engine Software, and save a copy of the patch file to your local machine. Then refer to the "Installing a Software Patch" section of the "Administering Cisco ISE" chapter of the Cisco Identity Services Engine User Guide, Release 1.1. for instructions on how to apply the patch to your system.
If you experience problems installing the patch, please contact Cisco Technical Assistance Center.
Cisco ISE Patch   Version 1.1.0.665—Patch 4 Resolved Caveats
    Caveat
    Description
    CSCui22841
    Apache Struts2 command execution   vulnerability
Cisco ISE includes a version of Apache   Struts that is affected by the vulnerabilities identified by the following   Common Vulnerability and Exposures (CVE) IDs: CVE-2013-2251. This fix   addresses the potential impact on this product.
    Managing Software Patches
You can install patches on ISE servers in your deployment from the primary administration node. ISE patches are usually cumulative; however, any restrictions on the patch installation will be described in the README file that will be included with the patch. Cisco ISE allows you to perform patch installation and rollback from either the command-line interface (CLI) or GUI.
    Standalone Deployment
When you install or roll back a patch from a standalone or primary administration node, ISE restarts the
Application. You might have to wait for a few minutes before you can log back in.
    Distributed Deployment
When you install or roll back a patch from the primary administration node that is part of a distributed deployment, Cisco ISE installs the patch on the primary and all the secondary nodes in the deployment. If the patch installation is successful on the primary node, Cisco ISE then proceeds to the secondary nodes. If it fails on the primary node, the installation is aborted. However, if the installation fails on any of the secondary nodes for any reason, it still continues with the next secondary node in your deployment.

  • Patch erroring out

    Hi
I have been applying a patch in hotpatch mode on oracle ebs 12.2.3 environment.
but it is erroring out as
error = Cannot open XML file for load
errorno = A file or directory in the path name does not exist.
while applying patch with adop , it copies the context files from all nodes to patch log directory.
what I checked is, in my case, it is not able to copy one of the context file. that is why this error.
    our enviroment is :

  • So ELP patch is out, but my MBP keeps skipping Letters (HLP problem?)

As you know, there is a lot of people with ELP problem PLUS some randomly skipped letters (for example "alocco" instead of "allocco", "abc34" instead of "abc345").
Now, having ELP problem solved, it would be better to open a new thread concerning the other part of the problem.
Did anyone hear anything about any solution? Local customer care told it is MS Office API'S fault (LOL) and wanted to format.... I have no spare time to lose with these strange ideas.
I'm gonna ask and PRETEND for a substitution when the new penryn models come out.

Do you enjoy responding to your own posts? Anyway, I do have the problem you describe and, of course, the keyboard fix did absolutely nothing to fix it. With my MBP, it seems it's mostly the leter "t" that doesn't register ... as in the word "letter" I just typed missing the "t" that I know I typed. Most frequently, it happens at he beginning of a word ... the word "the" frequently comes out as "he" and spell check doesn't cach it. Ha ... another missing "t". I have to say this really bites and it might well be my first, and last Mac.

  • I have upgraded to 10.6.8.  It's a disaster, when's the patch coming out?

Safari crashes on startup with a sigsegv, airport is dropping connections, dashboard crashes...  Pretty much any apple apps that need a network connection crash on startup.

Did you use the combo updater and follow the good updating practices?
    Download the combo updater here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399
After download, unplug all peripherals except keyboard and mouse.
Open Disk Utility and verify disk
    Install combo update
Open Disk Utility and repair permissions
    Restart again.
    Plug in peripherals.

Seems to be quite straight forward installing via the instructions. You must run a clean environment thou..one thing that I am finding is that things like 'wget' and 'jar' must be in the directories that they want .. they are hardcoded in the downloaded install script.

I have set all variables correctly and the directory has all permissions as well.
Please let me know what I am missing here.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your help.
The directory was already created during patch execution.
My error was related to MDS password.
The password for mds was different from OIM password so the patch errored out.
Once the mds password was updated correctly in the profile file, the patch executed successfully.

  • Oracle BI Apps - EBS R12 Full load - manually i.e. with out DAC??

    Hi All,
I tried BI Apps 7.9.6.2 installation, I am stuck with a [DAC error|https://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2358072&tstart=15] , the solution is to install a DAC patch. I don't have any Oracle support account & can't afford one, so installing the patch is out of question. Now my plan is to execute Informatica workflows manually........What are your thoughts on this? Is it a bad idea that takes 6 months at least and not guaranteed?
Please give me your suggestions or point me to any materials that helps me in this path.......
    Thanks for your time,
    DK

    Hi
I think you need to add the following parameter to informatica,
in the admin console go to custom properties
    add
    overrideMpltVarWithMapVar value yes

  • Oracle 9i iDS (9.0.2.0.1) Core / Non-Core Patches

    Hello,
I realise that there are at least 3 patches available out there for Oralce 9i iDS (9.0.2.0.1) running on Windows XP Pro.
I am working with WebForms/WebReports migration project from 6i to 9i and running into all sort of errors. I get the feeling that many of my problems are already addressed by some Patches out there.
I am aware of the followin patches:
    PatchSet 1: 2705870
    PatchSet 2: 2842923
    PatchSet 3: 3129219 (Non-Core PatchSet, PreRequisite Patch: 3038037)
I tried to apply PatchSet 3 directly without applying PatchSet1 / 2 not the Prerequisite Patch 3038037.
    1) Can I apply the prerequisite patch 3038037 after Patchset 3 3129219 ?
    PT
PS: I heard that Oracle was suppose to come out with PatchSet 4 earlier this year in January. Any word on that ? the patchset number ?

    I have solved this problem.
When I run the patch setup.exe again, I should select Destination Name: OraHome92 rather than the Developer Suite's Oracle Home "Ora9iDS".
The patch installation is successfully completed.
I have also installed Designer Repository on a remote Oracle9i Release 1 Database server. Can I applied this patch from another machine and remote logon to the database server and perform the patch installation?
Or I have to install the Patch on the Oracle9i Release 1 Database Server resided in a Windows 2000 Server.

  • Lookup the patch id of one library.

    Hi, People under Sun Shine.
I have a question which may be simple to you guys. That is:
How can I know the patchid of a library? For example, I want to the patchid of /usr/lib/libc.so.1 in a box.
I am resolving a issue that the production box (Solaris 2.8)has a different level than my test environment. I pinpointed that the problem is caused by /usr/lib/libc.so.1, which is different from the test box. In order to convince my clients to do upgrade, I have to show them that their patches are out of date from the latest.
Or I might try to shift the library with the application, but I think my client will not like the ideas. Any advice?
    Thanks,

    Ye,
patchadd -p should bring you a list of
    installed patches
In case you want to check specific binary
    you may try this one
    mcs -p <filename>
Here what it shows for me:
    prompt> mcs -p /usr/lib/libc.so.1

  • Patch for sunray 2s on srss 3.1

Anybody know if the sound patch is out there? Will srss 4 fix this problem?
My new sunray 2s just arrived but the sound configuration tool does not work with them.
I saw a reference to the patch through google but the sun website makes no mention of a patch (last blog on sun about it was aug 2006).

With SRSS installed in a mixed mode setup with 64bit system but 32bit
libraries available, I ended having problems with the 32bit pam modules
included with srss. The build of GDM supplied with SRSS is a 32-bit executable and therefore requires 32-bit PAM modules. If you're trying to use the distro's native 64-bit GDM then obviously those modules won't work.
(The SRSS GDM daemon is 32-bit but SRSS delivers 32- and 64-bit GDM greeter executables and runs the appropriate one automatically. That gets around some missing 32-bit Gnome libraries on the supported 64-bit platforms.)
Is a linux 64bit SRSS scheduled?SRSS 3.1.1 and SRSS 4.0 (currently in beta) are supported on 32-bit and 64-bit RHAS4 and SLES9. SRSS is not supported on any other distros. If you want to try to install and run SRSS on other distros that's fine, but Sun won't provide assistance or support.
You might try asking on the sunray-users mailing list at <http://www.filibeto.org/sun/sunray-users/>. Some people on that list run SRSS on unsupported distros.

  • Patch update V2.1 or v2.5

    Dear all,
    i have a little problem.
I am setting up a webserver that wil be using Apache and Apache-SSL/OpenSSL.
The machine is a Ultra-10 running solaris-9. When i am running the apache-ssl patch i get the following error: " your version of patch is out-of-date. You need patch 2.1 or 2.5. N.B. We mean the program called 'patch' needs an update, not that ypu have the wrong patch!!!"
Ok i understeand this part, I have the correct apache-ssl patchbut the program patch is out-of-date and i have to upgrade to version 2.1 or 2.5
No problem, i connect to http://sunsolve.sun.com/pub-cgi/show.pl?target=patches/patch-access and i download the 9(28.6m) version and i am installing this one.
Now it is wrong. He is unable to install the following:
    113319-01
    112998-02
    112875-01
    112970-02
    113146-01
What is wrong? And what do i need to update patch to version 2.1 or version 2.5?
    Regards,
    Johan.

The main contents of this v.2.1.0.12 version are still exactly the same as in the previous (major) v. 2.1.0.11 SW version, which is also why I have not posted it here separately. http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Software-Updates/New-software-update-for-Nokia-X2-Dual-SIM-Nokia-X-S...

  • AcrobatUpd11009.msp patch cannot be installed

    Hello all,
Another month, another Adobe patching headache! So I have read the Enterprise Administration guide many times, and I have been deploying and patching Adobe Flash,Reader and Acrobat for years now. Usually it goes smoothly, but eventually I always run into an issue. This time my problem is this:
Last month, I created a new Acrobat XI AIP from the bas 11.0 media. I patched this AIP to 11.0.07 (quarterly)
I then installed Acrobat on many clients using the command line option 'PATCH=AcrobatSecUpd11008.msp' to "chain" the OOC patch into my install, without actually applying the OOC to my AIP.
Today, when I try to apply the AcrobatUpd11009.msp to these same clients, I am getting the error in the log file:  "PATCH SEQUENCER: minor upgrade patch \\server\share\AcrobatUpd11009.msp is not applicable."And error in GUI: "The upgrade cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade".
Can someone out there tell me what I did wrong here? I believe I can uninstall 11.0.08 then run a full install of 11.0.09 from a new AIP, but that seems unnecessary.
    Thanks in advance!

Still no answer on this?    We have the same problem on all our computers.  Seem that after installing 11.08 update, something isn't updated because the 11.09 patch thinks it is still 11.07.   (yes, going to help/about shows version 11.08)
Here's what the patch spits out with the /lv switch:

  • Forte 6U2 - patch confusion

While trying to update our compiler to the newest patch set, I ran into the following problem. From access1, patch 111683-14 requires patch 111690-10 or greater to be installed. 111690-10 is not listed on access1 as a patch. When I tried to install 111690-10 after getting it from sunsolve, the patch installation failed, saying that "One or more patch packages included in 111690-10 are not installed on this system."
111690-10 appears to be an update to the Fortran subcomponent of Forte 6U2, (I guess contained in the Hi-perf package), which we did not install, because we don't use fortran. But this is sort of a problem, because it means that we can't install the latest debugger patch.
    Any suggestions?

You can find 111690-10 from access1 at:
    http://access1.sun.com/patch.public/cgi-bin/show_list.cgi/wrk/Forte_Fortran_6u2_SPARC
With the next dbx patch release, the dependency problem will be removed. Please wait until the next dbx patch comes out.
