2.0.2 Frooze my screen
I updated my origianl Iphone 8gb to the 2.0.2 version and now the bottom and top part of the touch screen won't respond and I've tried reseting and using and a back up and still not working. Anyone have this similar problem.
Lets try a DFU Restore:
To enter DFU Restore mode follow these instructions:
1. Open iTunes
2. Connect iPhone to Mac or PC.
3. Hold both Sleep/Wake and Home Buttons for 10 seconds.
4. The screen will go blank and the instant it does RELEASE Sleep/Wake and CONTINUE to hold the Home button for 20 more seconds.
5. iTunes will then see the device as "An iPhone in Recovery Mode".
6. You may proceed with the restore of the iPhone.
NOTE: iTunes may not see it instantly, just continue to hold the home button until it does. If it still doesnt work start the entire process again until it works. Every iPhone and iPod touch can enter DFU Restore mode REGARDLESS of its state (Since this does not require the OS to boot).
After it restores, SET IT UP AS A NEW iPHONE. DO NOT RESTORE FROM BACKUP.
See if this fixes the issue. If not make an appt at the Genius bar and take it to that apple store. they will swap it out

I just received my Smartband 30 yersterday, and today a band on the screen frooze. Actually it frozze on the minute part so basicaly there is a lighter band on the screen with the 26 of the minute (when it frooze). When i change pages the band is still froozen.

My macbook pro just frooze while on-line. I got the rainbow wheel spinnin and it wouldn't stop I tried to do a force quit and I was unable to do that. So I held down the power button. Now when I try to restart it I can't get by the while page with the apple symbol on it. All I have is the grey circle spinning continuosly like it is working. I tried a command S when I started it back up and checked the HD and rebooted, still can't get by the startup page. Any suggestions?I'm having the same problem. I started an automatic upgrade that then got "stuck" for hours. I did a hard shut down and now all I get when I try to reboot is the spinning wheel. I haven't done a backup in 3 months and can't afford to lose everything in a reinstall. Any suggestions?

Satellite A200 screen stays black when trying to boot
Hello everyone,
My Toshiba Satellite A200 notebook is not working anymore, so everything started when I was playing a game, suddenly, the screen turned blue with some tiny text written on it. I had to hold the power button a few seconds to close it because nothing was happening on the computer. I then pressed the power button to open it. Everthing was going well, until the welcome screen. At this part, it was written "Welcome" but the Vista loading circle left of it wasn't turning.
After a few seconds, I decided to close the computer again, so I did hold the power button so the computer closed. Here is the problem : I tried to reopen it, but the screen stayed black. Nothing was happening. The power light was blue, but not any computer activity. So I let it like that a few minutes then closed it and tried again, but the same thing happened. I tried to disassemble it and noticed one of the two memory card wasn't fully in its slot. I fixed it, but it didn't fix the problem.
I also tried to plug another screen on it, but that one was also black. So I put back the screen on its computer and tried to boot my laptop and it worked. It was booting, but the first problem came back, the Welcome screen was frooze there. So yes I did close it again and then the same thing happened, the screen stayed black.
I don't think the problem is the screen because as I said sometime it goes to the welcome screen. Also I don't hear any welcome sound when the screen stays black as if the computer would simply not start up. And as I said earlier, I don't see any computer activity on the little light in front of the computer. And left of this one, I clearly see that the computer is ON because the power light is blue.
So this is my problem, next time the computer manages to start up I'll try to boot it on the SAFE MODE, but until then, I don't know what to do. Please, help me.

After letting the computer turned off for about 30 minutes, I started it, and booted in safe mode. At this step, I securely closed my comptuer with the shut down button instead on holding the power button. Then I reopened my computer, and it booted and the problem was fixed. Now my notebook is openened and working.
So if this is happening to you :
1. Shut down you computer.
2. Wait for about 30 minutes.
3. Boot in safe mode
4. Shut it down using the shut down button istead off holding the power button.
That should work.Finally, it doesn't work. I don't know why but my computer did start up after the 30 minutes, but now it's not working anymore. It just won't startup like I said later, with a black screen.
The computer did work for about half an hour. I mean, I managed to start it up but after executing a program, it just froze and I had to hold the power button to restart it. I did it about 3 or 4 times, then it simply did the black screen again. I think the problem is my processor, maybe it's damaged or something, could it be possible?
Because I see that the processor isn't working when I try to start it up.
So let's say it's damaged, would that be the symptoms of my computer?
And if it's the processor, the only way to fix it is to send it to a reparator or something, because I don't feel like it, I'd rather do it myself.
But right now, my computer is simply not booting, like I said in my previous post.

IMac Does not boot past Gray Screen
iMac does not boot past Gray Screen. 2008 24" Intel iMac running Mountain Lion with 1TB hard drive.
Problem started yesterday while I was web surfing, and my iMac frooze and shutdown. I rebooted and could only get as far as the gray screen.
On bootup the following things happen:
Startup tone
Gray screen with Apple, and gear spins below Apple.
Once the gear stops spinning, nothing happends.
Troubleshooting steps I have tried:
removed all devices connected to iMac and rebooted, but same symptons occur.
booted into Safe mode and run disk utilites.
Disk Utilities found no errors on the drive, but did find two permission issues that it was able to fix.
First permission issue:
"Group differs on library; Should be 0; group is 80"
Second permission issue:
"Permissons differ on library; Should be drwxr-xr-x; They are drwxrwxr-t"
Disk Utilities says it fixes these issues and then I reboot, but get the same problem.
I reboot back into Safe Mode and run Disk Utilities and it discovers the same problems listed above with Permissions. It says it fixes them, I reboot, but the same problem occurs. Its as if we are stuck in some sort of loop process.
Booted into Single User Mode and ran the following command:
/SBin/fsck -fy it reports back, Volume Apprears to be ok.
I reboot, same issue !
Performed SMC Reset, Rebooted, same issue
Performed PRAM Reset, Rebooted, same issue.
Booted into Recovery Partitioin (Command R) and ran disk utilities. It found the same permission issues listed above. It fixed them. I rebooted. Same problem still.
While in safe mode, I preformed a full time machine backup.
I am out of ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Hello,

You can ignore repeated "fixes" it's not really a problem, if it says completed repairs that's all that's needed.
Luckily it boots in Safe Mode, here's basically the steps to try to find out what it is...
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

Ipod just broke and frooze? Please help
Hello from one day to another my ipod just frooze during the sync process and now I can't even turn it on because it displays a black screen so I can't even toggle through the menu.
I phoned apple and they told me that they would fix it for the same price of a brand new 30 GB (great deal).
Does anyone know of somewhere where I can go or a support email or site where I can ask to see how I can go about fixing my ipod for a reasonable price.
It worked fine before and is not that old so I doubt I need to go out and buy a new one.

DorianDoes it happen fairly quickly into the importing? If so, another thing you might try if you want to further narrow it down to the iPod or the iTunes, is create a new user account on the computer. In that account the iTunes library will be blank. So add a bunch of songs to that library (File -> Add to library) and then add a bunch from your original library. Then try it there. If it works, then you might have something corrupt in the other user account. If it does the same thing, then likely it is the iPod (assuming it isn't some sort of bunch of bad files that you happened to import to this new account).

Imac stuck at startup screen. Help!!
When i turn my mac on it makes the startup noise and then goes to the white screen where the circle thing appears and begins to load, it stays on that for ages and then it resets its self and comes back to the same white screen except then it doesnt load, it just stays plain white forever. WHAT DO I DO???
I don't want to change the subject but I'm experiancing almost the same identical problem. The iMac frooze up while I was using iTunes; I had to disconnect the power to get it to respond and now when I power it back on, it gets to the user login screen and then freezes (maybe just one step further than Karls). I can move the mouse, but not click on any of the users; I get no response.
Any feedback would be appreciated. -
Can't get past the Blue Screen!
I have a Mac ibook G4 and it was just working fine last night. Then the screen frooze, I restarted it, and now it will not go past the blue screen.
It is capable of safe booting though when I hold the shift button down during start up. Since I've always relied on Genius bar, I have no clue what to do from here. Can anyone tell me what it is I need to check for or do while in the safe mode?

Has anyone had problems with the screen freezing for hours?
Yesterday my phone kept freezing when I went to unlock it, after 5 minutes or so it would then go to the code unlocking screen but last night my screen frooze for 12 hours until it finally ran out of battery and shut down. When the screen freezes there is no way to force a shut down...can anyone help?
If the screen freezes, reset the phone - press both the home and sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears (~10 seconds). If freezing recurs frequently, restore the phone. See Appendix B of the User Guide:

While trying to update my brand new iTouch, iTunes came up with an error my Itouch then frooze and goes to a white screen. After a while the screen goes black I can reconnect it then it tries to recover and I start the whole process over. Any ideas?
Check to make sure yout Startup Disk (in System Preferences) is set to your OS X volume. A hang like that in the beginning can sometimes mean it is looking to start from a different volume (expecially if you have booted from a different drive recently) and eventually times out before trying the next drive.
If that's not the problem, try repairing permissions (Applications --> Utilities --> Disk Utility). -
Can not use Safari at all, just get a warning and its frooze whats up?.
Hey folks need your help with Safari issue. It started with pop up adds creating a new window and then I have to click it off, the add is about Mac cleaner. Then wen site were generated based on the site I was on, using their name asking me to take a survey. Now I just get a warning that says I have a virus and its frooze up on that screen in a loop. Can not find any solution as of yet, it all started with the latest up I got of safari. I turn on add blocker but that had no effect.
