I tried and tried yesterday
I lost my iphone from about 2pm uk time
ended up having to switch sim to an old reliable trusted sony ericsson
I have just logged on and the iphone now seems to be "restoring from backup"

I downloaded the 2.0 update yesterday = ~17min
Updated the iPhone = ~10min
The problem came during the activation/activated check. This is where the servers where having trouble. However, I managed to get it all done yesterday
Very pleased with the update. Exchange works really smoothly.

My iPhone 3GS just stopped working this morning. It tells me activation is required and that I need to plug it into itunes. When I try to plug it into itunes it doesn't register that I have anything plugged in.

Please plug the iPhone with the original doch-connector & USB cable into a USB plug in the computer (directly into the computer) and restart iTunes. It should register. Please do not stop the registration!!! You may need to press power on iPhone.

Dictation was working this morning...and now not working..the microphone looks like its working but won't type????

There is currently a suggested fix going around on the form so you can try this.
Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. Then go to Settings>General>Keyboard>Dictation>Off. You will have to then turn dictation on again and it takes a minute or so to reset the action with the Apple servers.

We do not use your IP address to associate you with an account, you should be able to sign out of one account and then sign into another. If you are signed into to your old account in Dreamweaver, you may need to sign out of Connections Home in Dreamweaver as well as in your browser.
Make sure you have verified your new Adobe ID email address by following the link in the email the system sends out. Are you able to sign into other CSLive services with the new account you created?

Microsoft Word 2004 opened and worked this morning. Not working now.

I'm using a 2008 MacBook pro, OS 10.6.8

The obvious questions must be asked. What has changed? Software or hardware added/updated/deleted? Has it been working without issue for days/weeks/months/years before this?

Airport worked this morning, but it's dead now

Hi, please help. I have a new MBP, about 1 month old. It's been great but today it no longer connects to my preferred wireless network. I check all my settings and nothing has changed, I put the MBP to sleep when I went to work this morning, and now there is no signal according to the Air Port. Skype stopped working this morning, seems to be a ...

I tried loading Skype up at about 11am this morning on the 6.21 version and it was crashing every time. I uninstalled and updated skype to the latest version (6.22.81.104) but the problem persisted. I tried several known fixes including deleting IE Explorer Temp files and updating Adobe Flash on IE Explorer but nothing has worked so far.

Iphone alarm clock didn't work this morning

I set a one-time alarm two days ago and it worked (it went off at 8:20am). This morning at 1:00am, I turned this alarm on again. But it didn't go off. So I did a test: set the alarm time to 10:00am and the alarm didn't go off. Fortunately, I used my wife's phone as a backup.
So the alarm problem is not fixed by itself (The claim by apple that it would be fixed automatically after Jan. 3rd is not true). It seems that this problem only happen during weekend?
The clock app on iphone is just a toy, don't count on it!!! Apple don't have any programmer to fix this problem or just don't care about the users. Apple is becoming another Microsoft.

Apple does care about this issue, the problem is being worked on.
For anything remotely important ALWAYS use a real alarm clock. Never depend on any cell phone for critical functions.
The alarm clock on my iPhone is working perfectly.

My app store will not let me get apps. When I enter my ID information, it says "This Apple ID cannot be used for the iTunes Store. Please enter another Apple ID." it worked this morning. What do I do?

I tried it this morning to download Twitter and it worked just fine. I also was able to download other apps before school. Now I'm trying to download a few Christmas apps and it won't work at all. I tried other apps thinking maybe it was just the certain app and none of them are able to be downloaded. I cannot figure out what to do. I have restarted my phone, changed my password, logged out and back into my account and nothing is working. What do I need to do to get it to work?

I went into settings, iTunes & App Store and tapped on my appleID, then signed out. I went back into the App Store on my phone and tried to download the app and then signed in again, and it worked!
Apple is looking into the issue> as I was told by the tech support!

Audio Worked Last Night - Cannot Get It To Work This Morning

What silly thing am I missing?
Have had my new MacBook for 4 weeks. Have been working on same slideshow for several days. Downloading new music and adding it, early on, was intuitive and easy. Subsequently, added sound effect to music (on another machine) and brought it back as a single track to the MacBook. Worked like a champ.
Last night, exploring ways to share I used iDVD to create a "movie" of slideshow. It complained about the music not having something done and I followed the bouncing ball (something about iLife) and it worked fine. (Titles were out of place, but that is another posting.) The DVD audio and video play just fine, though the images all appear a bit soft.
This morning when I attempted to run the Slideshow, no audio. I have tried removing the music track and replaced it multiple times. Still no audio.
What the heck am I missing here, or is this a known bug?

If you open iTunes and double-click a song, does it play?
If no then your system volume may be turned off:
Using the menu bar:
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Sound, and then click Sound Effects.
Open the Sound Effects pane of Sound preferences
Select the “Show volume in menu bar” checkbox.
Click the sound icon in the menu bar and drag the volume slider.
If audio works fine in other applications like iTunes, are you playing your slideshow back in iPhoto or in iDVD (or someplace else)?
If you are playing it back in iPhoto and you can see there is audio added in the Slideshow > Music > Play music during slideshow (this must be checked for audio to play), then try the following:
Ensure all your software is up to date (Apple Menu > Software Update).
Remove the following to the trash and restart the computer and try again:
Home > Library > Caches (I remove the whole folder. It will be re-generated upon restart.)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iPhoto (There may be more than one. Remove them all.)
