2.3 v s. 2.6

I have never owned a Mac and will be purchasing a MBP and I'm trying to understand if there is a huge difference between the 2.3ghz and 2.6 ghz. I will be using the computer for internet, photo editing on Lightroom and Photoshop, and graphic desing on Photoshop. That's it.
I currently have a Dell laptop (Studio 1537 w/ 3 GB of RAM and 2.00 ghz). I have been told that there is no comparison between a PC and MAc operating systems, but never having owned a Mac I don't know what those differences are or how they play out. My PC is painfully slow when editing in Lightroom and I just want something that will let me go through my process without wanting to throw my computer across the room.
What I'm thinking of getting:
15" MBP and upgrading the memory to 8 GB and upgrading the screen to the anitglare screen.
The summary for the 2.3 ghz would be:
2.3GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.3GHz
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
500GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm
SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
MacBook Pro 15-inch Hi-Res Antiglare Widescreen Display
Backlit Keyboard (English) & User's Guide (English)
The summary for 2.6 ghz:
2.6GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
750GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm
SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
MacBook Pro 15-inch Hi-Res Antiglare Widescreen Display
Backlit Keyboard (English) & User's Guide (English)
*There is a $210 difference between the two, an dI rather not spend the extra $210 if I don't have to.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

it's really up to you on what you'll be using it for.
do you need the extra 2 or 3 seconds your app is going to open up?
if you're doing some intensive graphics or video editing, then go with the 2.6GHz for the added speed.
however, if you'll just use it for normal day to day use, then stick with the 2.3GHz.
buy the 2.3GHz with 4GB of RAM and you can get 16GB for the $100 apple is charging to move to 8GB.
then sell your 4GB online for $25 so you can have some pocket change.
in any event, whatever you decide to get, i'm sure you'll be happy with it.
good luck in deciding...
