ideas?
[updated]
as Hapy said below a script to run lilo is highly recommended and should be included
did you read the installation output?
like debian, gentoo, etc. there are certain packages that are installed that can cause issues if certain things are not done post install. in such cases there are always instructions piped to console/terminal of just what to do. package managers are designed to manage what is installed and what isn't they are not usually designed to detect what packages are being used (ie lilo or grub) or how a package may be configured (ie samba, mysql). as such the only thing that can be done is ensure that important files are not overwritten/replaced.
if you read any forums at all you know such problems always arise in any dependency solving system. it is not usually the fault of the packages or package manager but a failure on the part of the user to read their installation results. trust me i have done it plenty of times in arch, debian, etc. don't ever assume that a package manager will cook as well as clean. most don't .

Script request for all you amazing scripters!
I am wanting to open an image, if it's a horizontal image then resize it to 605 by 403. If it's a vertical image then resize it to 403 by 605. Then if its horizontal, open a logo PSD (Horiz_Logo.psd)and place it on top. If its a vertical open a different logo PSD (Vert_Logo.psd) and place it on top, then save.
Can anyone assist me? I am very new to the scripting scene so all this is baffling to me. Thanks so much!Hi Zerty,
I've modified one of the javascripts I use for placing a logo on an image to do what you asked for. It will will place one of two pre-saved logo images onto your 605 x 403 images depending whether they are horizontal or vertical. The script does not do the resizing for you. You would need to do that in an action using fit image or something similar. You can call the script from an action.
I have used the following paths for the location of the images, if you want to use a different one you can easily edit the scripts for yourself. Please make sure you keep the forward slashes in the path where appropriate.
/D/My Documents/My Pictures/Images/Horiz_Logo.psd
/D/My Documents/My Pictures/Images/Vert_Logo.psd
You can download the script from this link.

Script request for exporting, importing, inserting entry to Oracle 9i LDAP
Do anyone has the scripts for exporting, importing, inserting entry to Oracle 9i LDAP server? Thanks for help.
you can use ldapsearch utility to generate ldif files. Perform a search on the node you want to export and specify the output to be in LDIF format ( -L - this is a ldapsearch option). Once you have the ldif file, you can import it to any LDAPv3 complaint server such as OID. for OID, use ldapadd/ldapmodify utility to import the data.
These utilities are present under IAS_HOME/bin or ORACLE_HOME/bin. -
INSTALL ARCHLINUX (new installation system by Arch Install Script)
After many failed installations, I've resolved and written a mini-guide how to do an easy installation of Arch Linux. I've added it to Manualinux on point 44b.
However, I report it below, maybe could be useful to someone:
44b)INSTALL ARCHLINUX (new installation system by Arch Install Scripts)
Choice if install ArchLinux 32 or 64 bit, following type these commands:
-loadkeys it (choice your language)
-Use cfdisk to create your partitions
cfdisk /dev/sda o /dev/sdx

mkfs.reiserfs /dev/sda1
or

reboot
-Mount Partition:
cd /
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt
-Make and mount swap partition:
swapon /dev/sda2
-Active wireless or ethernet connection
wifi-menu (choice your wireless connection, I suggest your to disable temporarely your password on router-modem)
dhcpcd (attach ethernet wire)
-Install Base System:
pacstrap /mnt base base-devel
-Install Grub2:
pacstrap /mnt grub-bios
-Install Syslinux:
pacstrap /mnt syslinux

pacman -Syu kde wicd wicd-gtk (insert kdm wicd in /etc/rc.conf)
reboot system and configure your router wireless/wifi connection
Reinsert wireless password on your router/modem
Last edited by Pantera (2012-09-17 20:14:31)You don't need to install both grub and syslinux. You configure grub in "Configure Bootloader" so this step is unnecessary:
-Install Syslinux:
pacstrap /mnt syslinux
This next step doesn't configure the kernel, it creates an initramfs (see the Beginners' Guide):
-Configure Kernel:
mkinitcpio -p linux

Am I correct in assuming that if you download the Arch install scripts to your local machine (that's currently running arch), the process of installing arch onto another hard drive is exactly the same?
Last edited by cyberpsych0sis (2014-11-19 05:01:30)circleface wrote:Try https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/In … ting_Linux and see if it answers your question. The process is similar, but there are a few differences.
That was the second place I checked all i found was:
The goal of the bootstrapping procedure is to setup an environment from which arch-install-scripts (such as pacstrap and arch-root) run. This goal is achieved by installing arch-install-scripts natively on the host system, or setting up an Arch Linux-based chroot.
If the host system runs Arch Linux, installing arch-install-scripts is straightforward.
Which seems to say it is the same, but it comes across as pretty vague imo. -

Standard driver programs, output type ,scripts, smartforms for SD reports
hi experts,
Can any one list all the standard driver programs, output types ,scripts, smartforms for SD reports.
maniHi,
Check this out
NACE
You can track the form and the print program used for that form
The Tcode NACE is used to link the Standard SAP forms (SCRIPTFORM or SMARTFORM) or the customized form or the new form to its respective print programs. Also the output types, Form entry are linked with their forms and print programs. In short term, i can tell u that configuration or customization of forms to print programs, assigning output types, form entry to the forms are done using this Tcode.
NACE is used to create output type while creating the output type you will mention forms, and driver program.
that will be maintained in the table TNAPR.if you create the output type using NACE then it will be automatically visible in table NAST and TNAPR.
so check in NAST, TNAPR table

Is there a script available for arranging elements for optimal use of the printable area?
I'm starting a sticker printing business using Illustrator as my main layout and illustration too. I was wondering if there's a script available for automatically arranging a set of elements on a page so that they optimally take up the available space. I figured this would save me some on material costs.
If I were to create a script from scratch, can someone give me pointers? I'm a casual AI user but I have Javascript experience.
Thanks. The below image shows the 4 different die sizes, the artwork fits inside the dotted box so make sure that we have room around the die and the drill holes are assigned as well.
The name of each die is listed above it, and the size is listed below it.
The script is set to take each die and place it on the template until it is full, then it will save it and move it to the folder where it will be grabbed and preped for printing.
Everything below the **** is the script.

Luiz Giani -
I have a DeploymentPlanModifer subclass that is responsible for removing certain tables from a deployment plan under specific conditions. It is relatively trivial to find the
CreateElementSteps I need and subsequently remove them via
DeploymentPlanModifier.Remove(), but...
... if in my comparison I have enabled the 'Script validation for new constraints' option, the deployment plan will contain a
DeploymentScriptDomStep with a Batch containing AlterTableConstraintModificationStatements for tables with foreign key constraints. My problem starts here - there will be an orphaned
AlterTableConstraintModificationStatement for each of the tables that I removed. Obviously, execution of the generated script comes to a grinding halt when asking SQL Server to to alter a table that is never created.
I'm able to get around this by digging around in the aforementioned batches and removing the orphaned alter statements, but this seems really hacky, which makes me think I'm missing the proper way of dealing with this.
So... if anyone is aware of a more correct way of avoiding this problem, I would really appreciate finding out more about it.
Thanks in advance for any help. :-)Hi Greg. Unfortunately there is not an easy solution here. Walking the deployment model, spotting potential issues and excluding them really is what you have as an option here. The alternative is to pre-process the dacpac to have it in the form you want,
but I'm not sure if this is an option in your case and it also has limitations.
