2 accounts - 1 computer - 1 external HD

When I first purchased my new iMac I created an account and started cataloguing my music using that new user account - Account 'A'. In order to save internal HD space I have all my music located on an external HD (and an additional back up drive) and I use the orginal file from that external HD to load into my itunes - rather than making an additional copy in the iTunes Library folder on the internal HD on the Mac. So the file is not physically located on the internal hard drive or in the iTunes folder but on the external HD.
Part of the procedure involves cleaning up the file names in the itunes library and manually adding custom artwork and tags/user comments etc to each file - which is very time consuming - but necessary in order for me to the be able to further integrate my itunes library into additional music software so that I can work with my lists in a clear and orderly fashion.
I then discovered Migration assistant part of the way through (doh!) and was able to recreate my original existing user account Account 'B' on my new mac with my existing itunes library that I have been using for years and I had already set up in the same fashion (i.e. external HD where original files are located and appear in my iTunes list). No problems there - all my playlists and files appear as they always have and play off my external HD.
The problem now have is the newly created account - account 'A' and the file info in the iTunes libarary there. Is there any way I can transfer or access all the library/file info I created in that new account and merge it with my orginal pre-existing user account 'B'?
As there are no physical files located in the iTunes library of this user account I'm not sure how I go about doing this. What I want to avoid is having to reload all those files again - because they are all dated, tagged, artwork etc in a specific fashion and it took quite some time to do. If I do this I'll have to go through the procedure from scratch and clean up the file tags, add the artwok and in order to preserve the dates I'll have to play around with the clock to 'fool' the computer into thinking they were loaded at a particular time/date.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

C'mon. The sarcasm will not help out here. Kirk is right--you need to figure out what happened.
For example, how did you come up with a new site in the separate user account? Did you bring over an existing Domain.sites file or did you start brand new with iWeb from each account on your machine? Did the two sites in question ever share the same Domain file? Are you/have you ever used a Domain.sites file manager, like iWebSites?
We can help you figure this out but a little more history is needed.

Yes. You can easily have multiple iPods on the same iTunes account on the same computer. Each iPod will show up with its name when plugged in, and each iPod can have its own set of preferences (i.e., what music, videos, photos, audiobooks, etc. to sync).
What you can't do easily is use the same iPod on multiple computers with different instances of iTunes. One instance of iTunes has to be "in charge" of an iPod.

Consolidate your iTunes Library
As for the other part of the question, iTunes syncs with Apple devices.
Simply copy the media desired from the computer to the microSD card. This has nothing to do with iTunes.

Backing up computer on external hard drive

I have an external hard drive which I have partitioned into two sections. One is a bootable partition so I can boot from that should my computer drive fail and the other section is just for backup storage. The computer I want to back up is my PowerBook G4. Is there a widget that can help me back up everything including applications or can I just "drag and drop" from computer to external? I know that I can drag my user file to get all my stuff but want to see if I can back up my applications too!
Anyone have any feedback on this?

iPhoto doesn't scan anywhere. It imports files offered to it. If it spots a duplicate it will warn you.

Maybe. What kind of other computer are you talking about? What operating system is it running? What kind of wireless router are you using?
Your best bet may be to just reset the router and set it up again.
Just so you know, WEP is a very old security system for wireless and is considered insecure. If you have it available, use WPA2.

I have 11 on my SnowLeopard macbook and 10 on my newer 10.7.5 iMac.
I've been comparing them and fiding lots of faults with 11 but I thought if possible I might give 11 another chance on a newer system but I guess not

Two people, one computer and different iOS devices are a little confusing. Assuming you want some things to remain separate - you want your calendar, she wants hers or the music should be separate etc - then create two accounts on the computer: one for you and one for her. She does her stuff on her account, including syncing the iPad. You do your stuff on your account including syncing the iPhone.
If the two of you share your music this gets a bit more complex and we can deal with it in a different message.

No audio on computer or external speakers

Neither my computer nor external speakers have audio. While trying to determine what the problem might be, I think
that I inadvertently deleted the sound driver.   When I was troubleshooting in Control Panel under the sound
category  I selected the disable button not realizing that it would actually delete the driver software.
Is there a way to recover that or will I have to purchase new driver software for my computer? I s there any way to
get a free download on sound drivers or are there any reasonable ones out there that you know of? I don't have a
warranty on my computer.

Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.

When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers. Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall. If there is currently no IDT entry here, just proceed as below.
When complete, shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery. Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds. Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to launch the Start-up Menu and then select f10 to enter the bios menu. Press f9 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f5, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter. Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.
Let Windows fully load - it will automatically load an audio driver, but just let this complete. Then open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation. When this has completed, right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select Playback Devices. Left click 'Speakers and Headphones' once to highlight it and then click the Set Default button - check if you now have audio.

IMac with 2 user accounts & access to a external HDD/NAS

I'm about to put all my video (perhaps also my iTunes music library) onto an external drive. I'm still toying with a 2TB NAS or a 2TB USB or FW drive, but one thing has crossed my mind:
If I had an HDD attached to my iMac, does it matter which user is logged into the iMac? If I want to access content that is on the HDD from another networked device in the house (such as a media player under my TV) will that device be able to see the HDD if my wife is logged in to the Mac?
I presume a NAS doesn't have the issue as it's not thethered to a computer.

Do a get info on the backup drive. Open up the Sharing & Permissions section if necessary. Unlock the drive permissions by clicking on the lock icon. Input admin password etc. If you are not already listed as having read/write access to the drive, do that now (add your account name if necessary with the plus button). Now click on the gear icon and select "Apply to enclosed items..." Relock the drive permissions by clicking on the lock icon. You should be good to go now.
