  • How do I install a new Exchange account with the same address as my old Exchange account and have my bcc mail not go to the old account?

I have an iPhone 5s running iOS8 and an iPad, up to date.  I have recently changed my mail server but not my email address.  My "old" mail account is an Exchange account and I have also set up a "new" Exchange account with the same address but with the new mail server details.  When I receive outside, third party emails they are routed correctly to the "new" Exchange account but when I bcc myself or receive other emails from any account with my domain name the emails are routed to my "old" Exchange account.  I have changed the default account settings to the "new" Exchange account.  Also, if I send myself an email from my laptop, through the new mail service provider, it is routed correctly on my laptop but incorrectly on my iPhone and iPad.  It appears as though the Apple products have cached my email address and routing and won't look to pick up the new mail server details. I don't see anything in the mail account settings or contacts that allows me to refresh or clear the cache.  The result is I now have mail in 2 accounts. If I can get the misdirected mail from the odl account to the new one I will then make the old account inactive.  Anyone have any ideas on this one?
Thanks in advance for your time and ideas,

  • My husband and I share the same e-mail address, and computer. We both have iPhones now and want to have our own individual Apple ids, but have one iTunes account is it possible?

My husband and I share a computer, have the same e-mail address, and have one iTunes account. Can we have different Apple ids on our individual iPhones or do we have to use the same one?

For purchasing from the iTunes and App stores, you will probably want to share the same Apple ID.  But for other services such as iMessage, FaceTime and iCloud, you should use separate IDs.  For example, if you use the same ID for iMessage you'll start getting each other's text messages.  If you use the same ID for FaceTime you may get each other's FaceTime calls.  If you set up the same iCloud account with the same ID, and data you sync with the account will be merged and the merged data will appear on all devices (i.e., you'll end up with each other's contacts and calendar events).  You would also be sharing the same 5GB of free iCloud storage rather than each having your own 5GB of space.

  • My husband has an iPad and I just got one for me.  We both have the same e-mail address.  The message I get when I try to set my new one up is that the Apple ID is already in use.  How do I set up with our shared e-mail account

My husband has an iPad and I just got one for me.  We both have the same e-mail address.  The message I get when I try to initiate setup is that the Apple ID is already in use.  Any ideas on how to complete the setup of the new iPad since we both share the e-mail account?

If you selected open a new Apple ID account, go back a step and enter use existing Apple ID.
You will have to set up a separate iCloud account or your iPads will mirror each other.

  • I have two Apple ID accounts, both under the same e-mail address, how can I merge them?

Because of this I was having trouble transfering some purchased apps. I apparently purchased some apps with a newer apple ID I created with a new credit card (thinking I was only changing the credit card settings from my initial account), yet both are under the same e-mail address. This is also giving me trouble with setting my iCloud account up because it says I need to "verify account" and that it will send me an e-mail to do this, but it hasn't!

You cannot transfer content between two accounts. The sooner you make the conversion, the better. Just pick the new one and start using it(buying music etc).
*A lot of people open new accounts when their email changes or they have a new email. You can just access your apple id account and change the primary email that you use to log in along with other details.

  • If i cancel an account can I create a new one with the same e-mail address?

I made an account with Game Center and I wanted to use it to get some free apps on the iTunes Store. When I tried to sign in on iTunes (for Windows) it said I had to review my details. I didn't have a credit card so I couldn't complete it and there wasn't any option for no credit card.
I wondered if I could cancel my account and create a new one with the same e-mail address. There was a discussion that you could create a new account on the iTunes Store and have the choice to not have a credit card.
    Any help will help!

No, it does not, not if the creation of the Apple ID was completed, which unless you are referring to a different Apple ID I presume it did since you are posting here. And once created, you can't get apps without providing a payment method; setting up for just free apps requires a very specific procedure or a payment method is necessary. Creating an account via Game Center does not work.
If you can create a new email address (Gmail or Yahoo mail will work), take a look here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free apps without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)

  • No more access to my purchase of Adobe Creative Suite 5.5, my account was no longer activated. I had to crete a new one with the same e-mail address. How can I get my purchase back in my

Sorry for my poor english vocabulary. I'll do my best to explain.
I just cleared my computer (Macbook Pro 2011) and wanted to reinstall the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard Student ans Teacher Edition (Mac, English) that I bought (near october, november 2011) but my adobe account was no longer activated. Now that I reactivated it, with the same e-mail, this purchase is no longer in this account. So I was wondering:. How can I get my access back to the downloadable products that I bought?

I tried to find help with the support by web chat for 2 days already, but every time it says that chat is un available (even if it's suppose to be 24/7)... I dont know what else to do.... please help!

  • Why can't I set up more than one ipod with the same e-mail account?

Why can't I setup more than one ipod with the same e-mail account?

Not really sure what you are doing that this doesn't work...I have an iPhone, iPad and iPod all using the same email account without any conflicts.  Can you explain a littl about what you are trying to do that isn't being allowed?

  • I use the same e-mail account on my PC and ipad.  Lately I have been getting an e-mail that says no sender with no content and a date of 1969.  It shuts down some of my e-mails and goes away later.  this does not occur on my PC

I keep getting on my e-mail a no sender with a date of 1969, wipes out my e-mails temporarily but doesn't happen on my PC?

Try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app via the iPad’s multitasking bar (I'm assuming that your iPad is on iOS 7) : double-click the home button to open the taskbar and then swipe or drag the Mail app's 'screen' up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
And do a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Can multiple accounts use the same purchased apps from the same computer?

Hope one of you guys can help me out!
Ive got an iTunes account with over 1300 app store apps, most of which are paid, my kids have just got an iPhone4 and an iPod Touch4 for xmas presents and Im currently setting them up for them to use straight away on xmas day.
    The issue is;
For them to be able to use all my apps on their devices Ive had to use my account, this causes issues with things like GameCentre and FaceTime, because we are all on the same e-mail address and account!!!
Is there any way for me to set up there own accounts in such a way as they can still have access to my apps?????
Please help if you can, it would be greatly appreciated,
    Thanks, James

How do I authorise them all to use the same apps etc?
that's basically very easy. all you have to do is +log out+ of one account (click on the account name in the Store window and select +sign out+ from the pop-up dialog) and into the other, and then they will both be authorized.

  • I have 2 Apple ID's with separate e-mails.  I want to change my iTunes to the same e-mail as my iPhone.  Any suggestions?

I have 2 Apple ID's, one attached to my iTunes account, and one attached to my iPhone.  I want to change both to the same e-mail/Apple ID. any ideas on how I can do this without losing any info (contacts, songs, videos, etc.)?

Why would you create a new account?
All purchases will be tied to the account from which they were purchased.
You will have to authorize your computer for all the accounts from which music is purchased.

  • How can I transfer a local mailbox to another user account on the same computer?

I have two user accounts on the same computer. I actually never really wanted two accounts, but a second one was generated when I chose to use the Migration Assistant to transfer my account from a previous computer to my current one, and I never did anything to delete the second one. Anyway, I have been using Mac Mail to view my work email messages from a Microsoft Exchange server. Awhile back, I was running out of space on my mail server, and decided to download a bunch of my email messages to local mailboxes in order to free up space.
Recently (for reasons that are not terribly relevant) I have decided to switch between the two user accounts on the computer. I have transfered all of my documents, apps, etc. to the new account. However, I haven't been able to find a way to transfer all the email that is in those local mailboxes, so that they are viewable/usable in the new account. Could somebody suggest the best way for me to do this? I am no longer going to use the old account, so the two do not have to be synced. I just want the mailboxes to be available for the new user account (with the same organizational structure).
I am currently running Mavericks (just upgraded last week).
    Thanks,
    JEG

    A quick update....
I copied the folder in ~Library/Mail/V2/Mailboxes that contains all of my local mailboxes over to the same location in the new account. When I go into mail, the entire file structure is there, however it does not let me view (or search) any of the messages. The messages can be accessed through the Finder, though.
I tried to "Rebuild" the local mailboxes, but it didn't seem to do anything. Any advice would be appreciated.

  • How to own the same e-mail-address for different Apple-IDs

    Hello
I’m under the impression, that I can’t use the same e-mail-address for iCloud I used already in my Apple-ID for iTunes, because I get no verification mail for the iCloud account. Is this correct or did I something wrong?
    Thanks for supporting me
I already raised this question in the iCloud forum, but till now nobody answered - may be the wrong sub-forum

Many thanks for the answer - that's what I suspected. Anyway...
The problem I have now is, that my Apple-ID I used already for some years in order to buy apps is in the "old" format (e.g. duggy832), that means not in the form of an eMail-address. iCloud accept only Apple-IDs in the “new” format meaning in the form like an eMail-address (e.g. [email protected]).
So it needs to modify the old Apple-ID from duggy832 to [email protected] or to “transfer” – if possible – my shopping from Apple-ID duggy832 to [email protected]
Which way is possible, which is safe/secure, which is recommended?
    Thanks in advance

  • Can my husband and I use the same e-mail address/AppleID for our 2 phones, our iMac, and our Macbook?

Can my husband and I use the same e-mail address/AppleID for our 2 phones, our iMac, and our Macbook?
We share an e-mail account and would like to use the same e-mail address for both our phones, as well as our computers at home. Is this possible?
We both have itunes and apple ID's of our own right now, but since getting married, we are deleting these e-mail accounts and sharing one. How can we make this work?

You may use the same Apple ID for iTunes and App Store purchases, but using different iCloud Apple IDs is recommended.
If you use the same iCloud account on your iPhones it will sync all of your contacts, reminders, and notes automatically and it could be a pain. I don't know exactly how you would want to have the iCloud accounts set up on the Macs, because I don't know exactly how you use them. (I am assuming you share?). But you can do whatever you like, you can even keep the same iCloud accounts, etc but you may want to disable the syncing of certain items, because reminders for ones phone popping up on the others automatically would probably get annoying, but that is just me.
