2 BBM Pins on my Contacts' profile

I had a problem with the sliding mechanism of my Torch.
When I took it for repairs they inserted my SIM into another BlackBerry phone and started it up. Now that I have my phone back, everyone on my BBM Contacts see two profiles with two different PINS.
You can try to delete the "incorrect" profile, but tomorrow it will be back!
How do I fix it?

I would recommend having your friends remove you from their BBM™ contact list then re-inviting you.

But it is not like that! The option in BBM changes your PHONEBOOK's contact profile pic with the BBM's pic. So when my BBM friend changes the picture, it changes also in my Phonebook list. But I need to do it THE OTHER WAY ROUND. I want to change the pic in my phonebook so that it changes in my BBM's contacts.
It's very important for me, how can I do it?

Unable to view contact profile in BBM chat after upgrading software v5

I did a software upgrade to version 5 on my curve 8520
Now i am unable to update status and profile pic on BBM chat also cannot view contacts profile pics
Please can someone advise how to resolve

Just give it some time my friend. In some instances, it can take 24+ hours to re-sync with the BIS server and load everything. but it will do it on its own.

Linking my Contact Profile with my BBM Profile...

Just bought a new Bold 9700 and loving it.
I managed to create multiple Contacts Profiles, BBM Profiles, and link it all to Facebook.
I have my own personal profiles which, at one point, were linked to my Facebook profile and were using my Facebook profile picture.
Subsequently I decided to change my BBM profile pic to a custom one, didn't like it, and wanted it changed back to my Facebook profile pic. I didn't know how to accomplish this, but thought that if I un-linked my BBM profile from my Contacts profile (which was still using by FB profile pic) and then linked them again then my BBM profile pic would automatically reset to my FB pic.
However, I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to connect or link or whatever my Contact Profile with my BBM Profile.
Can anybody offer some help? I feel like I'm going crazy over here.

I read your post prior to posting this. I agree that on the long term, a single profile would be cool. But I also like the differences of forums and communities, and having diffrent providers might be the prize you need to pay for this.
I'm more interested in short-term workarounds at the moment. Philosophically I also like to have a cloud identity, so I'm fine with a set of options to interlink my profiles. All the profiles offer some options to link to some web2.0-services (facebook, twitter, icq), the community profile has a field for the forum profile.
I also don't want to just discuss this on a technical level, but in the field of information management. If someone clicks on my profile, what information might this person be intersted in (and which information I want to provide). Well, it wont be a nice woman looking for a data but more likely some other engineer/technican/scientist or someone from a HR department that wants to check my technical expertise in different fields. So for them I would like to display a kind of top-ten charts where I am good at or interested in.
BTW: A personal messanger would be cool for this as well, so I could for example contact someone that was pretty active on the forums for let's say SMTP and directly ask this person if he/she can help my with my own SMTP problem.
I've seen this (some time ago) completley HR related on the joelonsoftware blog, where they where introducing a service (pretty expensive) for HR-departments where they could check the profiles (CVs) against the activity on the stackOverflow.
Don't misunderstand me, I'm not currently looking for a job, I target this with a technical knownledge-sharing intention. If I know that a memeber of the forums has some expertise I need, I'd like to have a look if this person hasn't founded a community for exactly this topic before asking.

BBM Pin got changed itself

Hello, everybody!
My problem with the BBM Pin is the following - A few years ago I had BlackBerry 9900, and I had a BBM pin assigned to that device. Later on that device was physically destroyed and I started using BBM on Samsung Galaxy (the same BBM Pin).
Recently i acquired BlackBerry Q10 and started to use BBM with the same pin (from BlackBerry 9900). It was not a problem, until I updated BBM a few days ago and then I noticed that my BBM pin has changed.
Does anybody know why it happened and what to do with such issue? I mean, eventually I am going to create a list of contacts with my new BBM pin number, but there is no guarantee that such sudden change won't happen again.

Thanks again. You completely answered my question. I guess for now I can't solely rely on leaving my BBM pun number as a contact method with me (unfortunately). It's really too bad that we can't keep pin number like an email address. The BBM system is a great method of communicaton, but being so heavily "connected" to one device/pin it's a bit frustrating. Well, there is nothing what we can do really. Thanks again. ) Being informed means being warned and prepared.

hi all i have recently purchased a blackberry curve from a friend and have a bbm pin number which i have sent to a few friends and when they try to add me it says to them invalid pin does anyone no how i can change the pin or rectifiy the problem please help

You can't change the PIN of a device, it is unique to your BlackBerry and hardcoded at the factory.
Are you giving them the full eight alpha-numeric characters?

BBM pin chnage

Someone has broadcast my BBM pin somewhere so I now keep getting requests from ppl in Iran.
I contacted Blackberry and was told I can change my BBM pin but could not tell me how.
Can anyone tell me how to do this or I will have to get a new phone which I dont want to have to do.

i reported my phone as stolen in April. This weekend i chatted with someone thats using the same bbm pin as my stolen phone. how is this possible. we have different IMEI numbers but the sam bbm pin!

RIM does not manage this suspended PIN list. You need to contact your mobile network provider and supply the information about the stolen device.
Does this person who chatted with you have this stolen device? Is the IMEI now different than before?

CAN I CHANGE MY BBM PIN NUMBER ?

I blocked somebody on bbm messaging by mistake, now I cannot get them back on, is there any way to do this or can I change my BBM pin number.

sadly not. A blackberrys PIN is hardcoded to the device. you can backup and restore your contact list using bbm or the device switch wizard in desktop manager.

BBM pin change?

I am writing today to ask you about a problem I have been having for the last couple days to do with my BBM pin. Around 2am on Tues Oct the 2nd I started getting a lot of people adding me to BBM. I figured someone posted theirs on facebook and made a typo so I ignored it for a couple hours and just blocked everyone adding me. It continued though and started to get really exsessive (upwards of 100 people and climbing) at that point I added one of them to ask the person if they could tell their friends to stop adding me and to get the person who posted it to post the correct pin number. He told me that my pin was on a chain email called the BBM train and copy and pasted it into our conversation, it was an email written in Turkish with hundreds of BBM pins on them. I have never posted my BBM pin anywhere online before so it was a rather large shock to see this. My service provider is Rogers so I just contacted them about maybe getting my pin changed as this is a very dangerous situation and a very frustrating one. They told me that every pin is individual to the divice and so I would have to get a new phone but they also gave me an email address which did not work to see if you can do anything for me. Is there any way at all to get my pin changed?

They either reprogrammed the device with a new PIN or gave you new internal hardware, or a new device altogether. There's no way for me to know from here. The end result is the same, your pin has changed.

Thanks for the reply. I understand my wording was misleading.
What we are doing is taking a single page base PDF file, containing 10 elements for example, and using our own software (with help from iText) adding other page elements on the same page. Most of the time these elements are just text, or the odd image, but sometimes, we may be placing a PDF Logo on the same page. The resulting PDF seems to be a single page, containing 10+ elements of equal hierarchy, with no reference to the source PDF file that was used for the logo. Also looking at the Layers panel, There is no information here.
Are you saying then that there may be references to some of the elements based on the source PDF file?

How to unblock bbm pin from block list

How to unblock bbm pin from block list, i deleyed a bbm pin and close option for no block that pin, now how can i unblock that pin.

How did you block the plugin?
If you blocked it via Firefox and not via an extension then you should see a Lego block icon on the left end of the location bar that you can click.
You can inspect and manage the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:
*Click the "[[Site Identity Button|Site Identity Button]]" (globe/padlock) on the location bar
*Click "More Information" to open "Tools > Page Info" with the Security tab selected
*Go to the Permissions tab (Tools > Page Info > Permissions) to check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab
If you blocked content via an extension like Adblock Plus then you need to click its toolbar icon to check what content is being blocked.

Contact profile picture appears - then dissapears

a contact profile picture appears when i login on skype then dissapears within a few seconds.. does that mean he doesn't want me to see his picture or did he hide me from his contacts? if he hid me or remove me from his contacts, can he still read my message if i send him one? PLEASE help thanks
