2 canvas  in window

i want to make 2 content canvas and 1 tab canvas in one window and switch between them

I don't think you understand what BaiG is suggesting. All Forms must have at least 1 "Content" canvas in which all content is displayed. You can display different content in different areas or in different ways by using Stacked and Tabbed canvases. You can arrange the Stacked or Tabbed canvases on your Content canvas in such a way that the information in the Content canvas is still visible while the stacked or tabbed canvas is displayed in a specific area of the content canvas. I hope this clears this up for you.

    Above 6i, all the host, ole command will do by WEBUTIL package.

  • PAL sequence shows strange markings in canvas viewer window

    I have a DV PAL clip in a DV PAL sequence. I have it rendered in the timeline and did a couple of simple edits. Even before I did the edits, I could not get the clip to display in the canvas viewer. I get some green dots here and there, the occasional green check mark and an occasional yellow exclamation mark in that window. What am I doing wrong?

  • Audio but NO images show - black screen -up in the canvas viewer window????

    Hi all,
    I'm a newbie having problems with a file in FCP where the audio plays and but no image shows up in the Canvas window. I imported the audio from my camera and had some kind of a problem in the browser window where the sequence didn't show up with the actual length of time...it read 00:00:00. I reimported the quicktime file into FCP Express, and then it showed up fine. When I reopened it in FC Pro, this time, the sequence shows the full amount of time of the file, but I'm still getting all black in the canvas window. I'm at a loss to explain this. I have a feeling I did something wrong during the initial import, and so the actual source file is somehow corrupted. But when I open the source file in quicktime, it plays fine. It's only within FCP that it's all dark.

    sounds like you do not have a source file that FCP recognizes.
    What camera and what codec does it shoot? did you convert to a prores or standard QT format before or after ingesting?

  • Problem in canvas window positioning

    Dear buddies,
    I'm using Dev-6i....whenever I minimize the MDI window of my forms and then maximize it, the canvas window is resized and moves upward and so its buttons toolbar which I created myself ( and not using built-in Default & Smart Bar) gets disappeared, so I've to double click on the title bar of that window to resize it and bring it on the actual position. Can anybody tell me that why is it happening & whats its remedy??? thanx

    it sounds, like you have a canvas-problem. maybe there are some elements (buttons, items, ...) which are displayed in the lower section of the form or in the right section.
    If you increase the canvas and window-size a little bit... is the problem then away?

  • One Horizontal Toolbar Canvas and Multiple Windows

    I have a form with multiple windows and canvases. All our forms have ONE horizontal toolbar canvas. We like to display this horizontal toolbar canvas on every window. Is there way to do this? We get FRM-30162, when we assign the horizontal toolbar canvas to any window other than the primary window of the horizontal toolbar canvas.

    Hi,
    we handled that with the following:
    1.- create a DUMMY window with the following properties
    title: null
    Primary Canvas: null
    Horizontal toolbar canvas: null
    2.- On the Toolbar canvas properties:
    Window : DUMMY
    3.- On Form properties:
    form Horizontal toolbar canvas : "your toolbar canvas"
    This sets the toolbar on top and indepedent of your windows.

  • Stacked canvas behaviour 6i c/s

    My form has two canvases.
    1. content in own window
    2. stacked content in own window( which is only 5 cm by 5cm wide and does not cover content when called.
    COntent canvas and window are maximised in when-new-form-ins trig.
    The problem i am getting is when I call stacked can in its own window from content can via button my content canv
    resizes itself enough so that scroll bars appear.
    So that when i exit stacked can i have to maximise the content to such a state as when I first run the form.( all coded in when-new-form-ins) i.e dbl click on win title bar.
    Does anyone know if this is default functionality or is there something I need to set ?

    sorry for not making it very clear...
    So you want to Press a button, go to a stacked canvas, pause and accept input on that canvas, then proceed to do some calculations, and all of this on >one button?what you understood up to the bold marked area is correct. after getting the input in stacked canvas the user press a back button there to hide and come out. The calculations are on the content canvas button itself...( which is used to display the stacked canvas)

    I want to put up a stacked canvas on to a tabbed one. Read somewhere its not possible ... but the way around would be to make the content canvas tabbed. how does one do that?

    Putting a stacked canvas on a tabbed one is possible, making a content canvas tabbed is not.
    The idea is that you show or hide the stacked canvases depending on what tab is showing, or if you want a stacked canvas to be visible on all tabs then just create it in the canvas editor window, as a stacked canvas on the main content canvas, and set the x/y coordinates so that it displays in the same location as the tab canvas.

  • Content canvas

    Not sure if I'm using Canvas appropriately.
    I have a tab canvas that works. I want to have a placce above it to put search criteria that the user can select, which will then query the tab canvas block.
    I created a content canvas , placed it above the tab canvas, and addedd a text item to it, but when I run the form, the area for the content canvas is green (not white as I designed it) and there is no text item.
    I tried altering the stacking order, changing primary canvas of window.
    No luck.
    Please help.

    sorry probably I did not understand what you need.
    do you need them visible all the time?
    if yes - make content canvas big enough to have tab canvas
    on it, make sure that content canvas is set as primary canvas in your window's property;
    open content canvas go to menu "view"->"stacked views" and select your tab canvas - arange it's position properly - it should not hide any visible items placed on content canvas, hope this helps.

    tab canvas is somehow similar to stacked canvas it could be displayed on top of content.

    Sorry i wasn't correct enough.
    It is not really an item it is a canvas graphic (the graphic is from the type "Text" and has normal property options). I only wanted to create a extra label text (in another color and font size) behind my text item (T_articel) and behind the label of this item (T_articel).
    How can you do this?
    To create this go onto a canvas and click on the label button (looks like an [A] and is on left side of the canvas editing window) to create this type of graphic and now i want to move this object from position X=13 to X=25 with a forms trigger.
    I hope this descripes it now right! :D

  • Help for Avid Editor: Cutting In defaults to Canvas

    When I cut into a timeline from the Preview window, FCP automatically jumps to the Canvas(Record) window, so that I have to hit Q to switch back to Preview window to keep watching dailies.
    Is there an option to leave the focus/control in the Preview window? (what Avid does).
    It is only 1 extra keystroke, but it's one keystroke I have to hit thousands of times a day.
    It could be easily solved with a check box in the preferences somewhere. (Feature request if it isn't already there)

    Don't know how much this helps, but by default the "Q" key toggles between the canvas and the viewer. That may be a quicker way than clicking.

  • Hot to activate a second window

    I want to programm a game. when you lunch the game, a window where you enter your name, color etc will open. by clicking on the 'start game' button, the window becomes invisible and a new window opens with the game. first window is a JFrame, second is Canvas.
    my problem: in the second window i have no mouse and i can´t close the window by clicking on the red cross.

    i made a new project and i hope this is sth like a SSCCE, but this code doesn´t exactly do the same thing than my projekt, because it doesn´t work(mouse gets not shown but don´t know why)
    i don´t know if i made the second window the smartest way but it worked. now there is the strange thing that closing the second window works as long as there is nowthing drawn on the canvas.

  • Exit window when cklicking the exit button of the window

    Hello,
    my form exists of some canvases and windows. At the moment I have in every window a button to hide the active window. But I want to exit or hide the window by cklicking on the 'X' above in every canvas or window. How can I do that?

    But this closes the complete Form. I will try to explain my problem concretely. For example I have 3 Windows in my Form. If window 1 is in the background and window 2 is the active window and I click the 'X' the window 2 must be closed and window 1 should be the active window. But I the window 3 is in background and then window 1 is in background and I close window 2 then window 1 is the active window and only window 3 is in background.
    That means that If I click the 'x' in each window I want to hide this window only.
