Yes. But they can't be working on the file at the same time. See Old Toad's Tutorial #21 - Managing an iWeb site from multiple Macs with Dropbox.. This method makes it simple to do what you want but you have to adhere to the caveat that only once can be working on the file at the same time.
Otherwise, you wound have to have the domain file for the site make available on a server or external HD that all other Macs and users could access.

I have created my website on my Powerbook, and would like to be able to access it from my Emac and work on it there as well. Still new at this, would appreciate any help.

Unfortunately, this is not as easy as you think it might be. iWeb stores all information about the websites that you create in a single file called "Domain." This file exists on your hard drive in the .../Users/yourname/Library/Application Support/iWeb/...folder. An updated copy is made each time you quit iWeb.
If you ever wanted to move your website projects to another computer, you would need to copy this Domain file over. THIS IS THE ONLY FILE TO BACKUP FOR IWEB...LOSE THIS FILE AND LOSE THE ABILITY TO EDIT YOUR WEBSITES IN IWEB.
If you now want to edit your website on two different computers, you will have to keep moving the most current copy of the "Domain" file back and forth between the computers and always make sure you are working off the most uptodate file. Otherwise, you will end up overwriting things and it will get messy.
The method that I recommend if you are adamant about doing this is to copy your Domain file to a USB flash drive and take it back and forth from one computer to the next. And always launch iWeb by clicking on the Domain file on the USB drive.

You can authorize up to five computers for your iTunes purchases.
If manually managing your device you can add content from any library.
If automactially syncing content is managed from one library.
Purchased content can be transfered from a device into an authorised library, otherwise iTunes only transfers content to the device.

Different iPhone capacities on different computers

I have an iPhone 4, and I sync it to my home and work computer. I manually manage songs and videos. When I plug it into iTunes on the different computers (same version), the capacity bar shows different amounts of memory on different computers. The difference appears primarily to be in the video capacity. It's a significant difference: on my home computer, it shows 4.6 GB Free, on the work computer, it shows 10.6 GB Free.
Is there a reason for this? A bug? Which capacity is the right one?
I don't synch anything but contacts and calendars with my work computer; all the songs and such are on the home computer, to which I also synch contacts and calendars.

Ok, i'm working for a chemical company. We planned to go live with sap in january 2010.
Today, we don't know how to manage with sap the loading capacity.
The first step of our manufacturing process produces a liquid (product A). We planned to setup in sap: one work center, one BOM, one routing and one manufacturing capacity (24h a day) for this step.
Product A can be used as a component for the second manufacturing step (product B) or sold. Therefore I have 2 differents requirements for product A: internal from product B and external from the sales planning.
With the work center with one capacity, i am able to compare the manufacturing capacity with the sales planning + the internal requirement.
But it takes time to fill up trucks with liquid A (that's what i call "the loading capacity"), so i wan't to compare the loading capacity with the sales planning.
For example: it takes 1h to load a trucks, i can load 10 h / day, 20 days / week, a truck can take 25 tons. I want to see in sap a overload if my sales planning is more than 12510*20 = 5000 tons a month.
With your first answers, i created a second capacity type, but i don't know how to charge it. One important thing is: the product doesn't change when it goes into the trucks.

Different libraries on different computers, same account?

Hi,
This might be a dumb question, but . . .
Currently I have all my iTunes files in one library on my eMac. I am getting a new iMac (YAY!) on Tuesday. What I'd LIKE to do is leave all my kids'/wife's iTunes stuff on the eMac, port my stuff over to the iMac— but still buy and manage both with the same account. 'Zat doable?

if i am understanding you correctly. Yes you can use the same iTunes account on up to 5 different computers.

Browser freezes during page loading and then either shows the cause as silverlight, or flash to be the cause, on two different computers, since last 3 upgrades

Since the last three upgrades of Firefox the browser starts to load a web page then freezes. A pop up states that either silverlight or flash have stopped working. This can last for as long as two minutes before it continues to load, or for as little as five seconds.
I have tried various methods to cure this, by reinstalling silverlight, flash, and Firefox.
The only permanent cure is to revert back to an older version of Firefox. I would continue with an earlier version but I get sick and tired of popups from the likes of Yahoo, and yourself telling me to upgrade.
I have also put the the program back to basics, and this is a pain because when I find it's still the same I have to reload all the add ons. Maybe you could devise a method where we only need to click a button to put everything back as it was before resetting it to default.
This problem is occurring on two totally different computers, both running Intel gear, one i7 at 3.5, with 8 meg of ram, one core 2 duo with 4meg of ram, no drain from graphics cards as they all have their own ram.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

Also, this might be a glitch with using automatic private browsing mode. Some settings changes might not be saved in that mode.
If all else fails, do you want to try a manual hack?
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
* (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
* type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This should launch a new window (Windows Explorer window) showing your current settings files.
Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit, either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
* (menu bar) File > Exit
Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then open '''prefs.js''' in a text editor by right-clicking it and choosing Edit or Open With. (Double-clicking leads to Windows attempting to execute it, so I do not recommend that.)
Paste this at the end of the file on its own line:
user_pref("browser.urlbar.autocomplete.enabled", false);
Then save the file and close your editor.

If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer change the update setting on your iPod to manual. Connect your iPod to the computer you are using it on now an in iTunes go to Edit>Preferences>iPod and check the "Manually manage songs and playlists" box:

Why does Firefox remember the pages I've visited, even though I am using different computers? I've never used the sync function. I don't want my computer at work to be synched with my personal computer at home

My computer at work remembers the pages I've visited even though I visited the pages while I was using my computer at my home. I don't know how or why this is happening, and I don't like that it is in sync with my computer at home - I have never used that function.
For example - When I type in "the methodist hospital" into the search bar using the computer at home, all the search results come up from Google, so I click on the links and take a look around on the websites/pages. The next day, I walk into work, and I type in "the methodist hospital" again in the search bar, and when the results come up - it indicates in gray lettering that "[I] visited this page [yesterday's date]."
Please explain why this is happening and what I must do in order for it to stop. It is scary knowing that my browsing history is remembered using 2 completely different computers. Needless to say, I don't want my boss thinking I'm just surfing the web all day at work.

if i have to read any comment by matt n again i will throw up...in my mouth. i have gone all over google trying to figure out what the f ff did to me without my permission, i have updates turned off so there should be no prompting to restart, there should be a polite offer not a forced update. i am angry and so are a ton of people.
everytime i go to a new complaint, another angry fellow ff user there is matt n with his infuriating smiling little picture...telling me about the awesome safety and security of the new ff...ignoring that a supposed safe but ugly and unusable browser is worse than a customized, beautiful, well functioning browser...with supposed safety issues. i am so angry i cannot express how this has wasted my time. i have been online for 2 hours now figuring out how to fix, apparently i cannot. my old theme is not compatible now...so i am screwed.

Music on different computers

I have two different computers with iTunes on them. Currently I cannot access the internet with my computer that my iPod is installed on. Is it possible to download music on my other computer and put it on my iPod without burning it to a CD and importing it on the first computer?

After connecting your iPod to the 'other computer' set it to manual manage. (This is done in iPod preferences which is the first thing you see in iTunes 7.) Now that the iPod is set to manually manage you can drag music from the computer to any iPod playlist and it will be added.
Note - to add music drag songs to the playlist you want them in. To erase songs from the iPod you must drag it from the iPod's main catalog, not a playlist.

Sync iPod/iPad/iPhone with two computers
Although it isn't possible to sync an Apple device with two different libraries it is possible to sync with the same logical library from multiple computers. Each library has an internal ID and when iTunes connects to your iPod/iPad/iPhone it compares the local ID with the one the device normally syncs with. If they are the same you can go ahead and sync...
I have my library cloned to a small 1Tb USB drive which I can take between home & work. At either location I use SyncToy 2.1 to update the local copy with the external drive. Mac users should be able to find similar tools. I can open either of the local libraries or the one on the external drive and update the media content of my iPhone. The slight exception is Photos which normally connects to a specific folder on a specific machine, although that can easily be remapped to the current library if you create a "Photos" folder inside the iTunes Media folder so that syncing the iTunes folders keeps this up to date as well. I periodically sweep my library for new files & orphans with iTunes Folder Watch just in case I make changes at one location but then overwrite the library with a newer copy from the other. Again Mac users should be able to find similar tools.
As long as your media is organised within an iTunes Music or Tunes Media folder, in turn held inside the main iTunes folder that has your library files (whether or not you let iTunes keep the media folder organised) each library can access items at the same relative path from the library folder so the library can be at different drives/paths on different machines. This solution ensures I always have adequate backups of my library and I can update my devices whenever I can connect to the same build of iTunes.
When working with an iPhone earlier builds of iTunes would remove any file not physically present in the local library, even if there was an entry for it, making manual management practically redundant on the iPhone. This behaviour has been changed but it will still only permit manual management with a library that has the correct internal ID. If you don't want to sync your library between machines on a regular basis just copy the iTunes Library.itl file from the current "home" machine to any other you want to use, then clean out the library entires and import the local content you have on that box.
You should be able to transfer your purchases into a newly authorised library, backup the device, recover any non-store purchased media with the tips in this post from forum regular Zevoneer, (skip this if you've already got all the media) then restore the device from the backup you just made. That should preserve all your data and switch the assocation of the device to the new machine. I've had positive feedback on this method from other users but I've never had to test it personally.

Connecting different iPods to different computers

My wife has a 4th gen iPod and wants to connect to each of our laptops. I have music and photos on my laptop and she has other music and photos on hers. Back in the old days of iTunes you can set up iPod prefs before you plugged it in. How can she plug into each laptop and download selected songs, photos, files or whatever without erasing what she has on it. I am thinking of getting a new iPod video for myself and doing the same thing. We are running the latest version of iTunes.

You can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on a Mac hold down the Option and Command (⌥ and ⌘ Apple) keys. This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and it will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer. You should then be able to change your settings: iTunes Keyboard Shortcuts for OSX
Once you are connected change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply:

You can only load photos from one computer. There's no manual mode for photos just different ways to sync so adding photos can only happen from one computer or user account: iPod Photo Sync FAQ

One license on different computers?

I have one Photoshop CS6 license. I have installed it on my Imac. When trying to install it on my MacBook i get a message saying "Invalid license number. Does this mean i must by one license for each computer?

No. 2 activations, 2 computers. As to why it doesn't work is anyone's guess, since you did not provide enough info. Perhaps you simply have the PS CS6 public Beta on the system still or something else is getting in the way...

Can I sync my iPhone w/ 2 different computers?

I have 2 different computers... BUT everything is on 1 external hard drive, shouldnt I be able to sync to either computer as long as my external drive is plugged in?
I mean I even have 2 differnt hard drives (same file paths) but it iTunes wont even completly import everytrhing properly...
Its not letting me I know this isnt an iTunes discussion but any help would be appreciated.
