Can anybody out there give me any clues as to why my apple ipod won't allow my remaining 2.5 gb of ipod space to download anymore of my cd's. I am using Itunes library which also doesn't seem to accept the cd's even though they are legitimate in every way and are not homemade.

The built-in guest user account will not do this. Simply create a new standard account and call it "Guest" or "Guest Users" or whatever you like.
Go to System Preferences > Users& Groups, click "+" to make a new account.

If the passcode will not unlock the screen you are entering the wrong passcode. To change or remove the passcode you can use the settings app.
Settings > General > Passcode Lock
The caveat here is that to make changes to the passcode lock you need to enter the correct passcode lock.
If you do not know your passcode you'll have to restore your iPad by connecting it to iTunes on your computer.
