i am having a daily event on exchange2010 without a solution yet...
event 531 : Database Corruption
Information Store (2152) The database engine attempted a clean write operation on page 1259784 of database Y:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Mailbox\Mailbox Database\Mailbox Database.edb. This acton was performed in an attempt to correct a previous
problem reading from the page.

At '11-2-2013 13:12:39' the copy of database 'Mailbox Database' on this server experienced a performance problem. Failover returned the following error: "There is only one copy of this mailbox database (Mailbox Database). Automatic recovery is not available.".
For more detail about the failure, consult the Event log on the server for other storage and "ExchangeStoreDb" events.
what i have done :
1) eseutil for integrity check and checksum check --> no problems
2) upgrade storage to the latest firmware
Both without solution.
Are there any possibilities to fix this issue within exchange2010?

This is my first time using this forum, and I apologize if my post isn't "normal" or if my question is too long. My old acer computer had become corrupted and I had to reinstall my copy of windows. When I tried to sync a new ringtone to my iphone, which was only ever synced to this same computer, I was prompted to delete everything I had so I could install one ringtone. That does not sound ideal, and I refuse to delete everything I've put on my phone and my data to sync to itunes. There has to be another way to show my phone that this is the same computer. So I do not have to go through the hassle of doing everything again. I could not find an answer in the forums, and hope you can help me. This is pretty close to being a deal breaker for me. I'm beyond frustrated with this policy.
I don't believe it matters, but I'm running the latest version of itunes, as of today, and I have an iPhone 4 CDMA iOS 7.4.Thanks, Lawrence. I figured that was what I was going to have to do in the end. I have a few games with quite a few hours invested, and I worry that I'll lose the progress I have as they do not save to the cloud. I may have to bite the bullet, and just take the plunge to resolve this. I just want a way to easily transfer my "Home Computer" for my iPhone. My laptop is years old and in need of being replaced, and it's about time to upgrade my phone. These life events piling up are making me consider switching to a friendlier OS. I'm not using this as a threat. I just hope some apple high up will read this, and realize that we need alternatives. Life happens.
Thank you both Paul and Lawrence. I clicked "This helped me" not knowing it would remove the option to choose "This fixed my problem" too. For anyone else reading this thread. Using the guide provided has done both. It has helped me and given me a fix to my current problem. Lawrence has also provided me with the last bit of information I feel is missing from wjosten's guide. That syncing will completely erase all of your data and reinstall it in one fell swoop. It's a great fix. Even if it isn't the exact one I wanted. Thank you again! -
My ITunes got corrupted and I kept getting a message when updating iTunes64msi missing so I uninstalled all files and I thought I removed all registry values but when reinstalling I get an older version is installed and cannot be removed. I need a solution.
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
@I run a Windows 8.1 - Photoshop CS5 under Parallels on an iMac one year old and both having the latest OS. I use a NIK plugin "VIVEZA" which run fine for years without a problem. Latelt and without a reason, the NIK plugin has gone corrupt, (can not use it more the 2 corrections after a get a black background message that there is not enough memory) and the system stops running and a must restart is required. How do I fix this terrible problem?
If it requires a Photoshop CS5 re-install, (I belief that it may fix the problem) and re-install the two third party plugins (NIK Viveza) and (Onone Perfect Resize) how and where do I get to the proper Adobe upload page to do that.
I have tried to fix this problem by changing the memory allocations, I have spend many hours on it and are very disgusted with it but it needs to be fixed. The current memory settings are;
Ram available = 1588 MB
Range = 873 -1143 MB
Recommended Photoshop usage range = 857 however I have tried every setting to max and in between. Nothing works. Current setting = 1588 (max)
The Photoshop I use is registered, I have product # and order # .Contact NIK for updated/upgraded versions of their plug-ins. They have been having a lot of issues with their plug-ins.

Calendar Crash - Corrupt Event - No Solution Works - Need Suggestions
While entering a new event on the iPhone, the calendar crashed. Now that event is corrupted and causing loads of problems.
. Every time I view that day, the calendar crashes.
. Every time I try to view that event (ie, to delete it), the calendar crashes.
. Sync no longer working.
The corrupt event does not appear either on iCal or the Mobile Me calendar.
I have tried the following (in this order of escalation).
. Reset the phone (home & sleep buttons). Corrupt event remains.
. Restore the iPhone.
. Turn off calendar sync on the iPhone, wired sync with settings to overwrite the iPhone calendar.
. Delete the Mobile Me account (and thus the calendar) and recreate it.
. Selected the option Settings/General/Reset/Erase All Content and Settings.
The closest I got to a fix was after "Erase All Content and Settings." After waiting the necessary 2 hours for the Erase to complete, the corrupted event was gone. But as soon as I performed the Restore, it was back (even though the event does not appear in the iCal).
I tried calling support, but the phone wait is unending.
Suggestions for what to do?

I had to re-accommodate my schedule due to a late night at the office. As soon as I changed the time from 9:30am - 4:30pm to 9:30am - 9:00pm Calendar crashed. It added the new item, but has no color association. Now I can't edit or delete this item. I have this wonky calendar item that just reads "Office 9:00". It's not even complete, because Calendar crashed before I could finish the item edit.
I tried everything mentioned in this thread, from syncing, to pushing to manual update I even tried restoring from a back-up. Nothing. It's driving me crazy, every time I try to go to delete the thing calendar crashes on me. I've tried everything short of a clean restore, but I'm not willing to do that, my phone is my life.
Someone please help, and if anybody from Apple reads this, please please help us! -
in iPhoto, I want to copy certain photos in an event and then have the copies in another event WITHOUT removing the original photos from their original event; how to do that?
The only way to do that is to export the image to a new file and then re-import it.
It's not really the intended way of working as it uses twice the disk space and is inefficient.
Use Albums instead. A Photo can be in any number of albums and use no extra disk space as it just simply references the image in the Library. Albums can be sorted any way you want - including manaually - and can have image from anywhere in the Library just by drag and drop. -

Let's try a repair install of iTunes.
Restart the PC first.
If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair".
If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", and click "Change". Select "Repair" and click "Next" as per the following screenshot:

Is it possible to save an Event and the informations attached to his medias (favorites, Keywords, Notes) on an external disk where I saved the first version of this Event, without re-copying the all medias on a new Event called fcp1?
If they both have the same media, you can just copy the CurrentVersion.fcpevent file. But then you have two databases with the same UUID, and FCP X will only open one of them. If you use Carbon Copy Cloner, you can clone just that folder to the external drive, and set it up to only update files that are newer or have changed.

Unfortunately there isn't. A Red X is usually an indicator that the HDD has failed, if you are unable to restore the device using iTunes and also not able to reformat using windows prior to restoring then a hardware repair is needed. If your iPod is out of warranty then the pricing you pay is to have the iPod replaced not repaired. You're looking at 129.00 - 179.00 plus shipping depending on the gen.

Protected View Error "The file is corrupt and cannot be opened"

I have a problem with Protected View in Office 2010 on Windows 7.
Symptom: When downloading a file from the Internet, the file will not open if launched directly from the source location, or saved locally and then opened. This
is impacting both Word and Excel. I haven’t tested other applications. The user gets the error "The file is corrupt and cannot be opened.".
Expected behaviour: Documents should open in Protected View because they are coming from an untrusted zone (Internet Zone).
Troubleshooting Results:
- If I turn off Protected View the error goes away and the documents open without
issue (but not in Protected View obviously)
- If I save the file locally, then copy it to a network drive, the problem goes away (because the zone information is changed?).
- If I save the file directly to a network location, then open it, the problem does not impact me (also doesn’t open in Protected View)
- If I repair Office the problem is NOT fixed
- If I reinstall Office the problem is NOT fixed
The problem doesn't impact all machines, but any new machine I build suffers the problem. All Protected View options are set by group policy and all machines are getting the correct settings.
- The setting “Enable Protected View for files originating from the Internet” is enabled
- The setting “Enable Protected View for files located in potentially unsafe locations” is enabled
- The setting “Enable Protected View for Outlook attachments” is enabled
- Enable Data Execution Prevention mode is enabled
Has anyone seen this problem or can anyone offer suggestions of where to start looking for the root cause? There are lots of postings on this around the various Internet forums, but most
just suggest turning off Protected View, that is not a valid solution to my mind, Protected View is there for a very sound reason and it is not something I'm willing to turn off, especially when it is working on some machines as expected.

As an aside, I had no idea HP made software like that and will take a look
at it - or would if I could. Personally, although I love their hardware, I
wouldn't touch HP software, and the fact that their web page doesn't load

How to restore from back up when some files are corrupt and crash the restore?
iphone 4 16gb
IOS 5.0.1
iTunes 10.5.3
History:
installed iOS5 back on release date. install was interrupted, likely due to high volumes. Completed install. Initial problem noted: unable to add events to calendar. Then problem progressed to "Voice Memo" app crashing. I installed "Quick Voice" app as an alternative. Problem progressed further to an unexplained increase in "other" content on iphone. Last week I tried syncing my phone and received error message that I didn't have enough space to complete sync. Noted then that "other" content was around 5.4gb! Removed "voice memos" playlist from selected playlists to sync under music tab and noted that other content dropped to 4.5gb
Synced the phone and noticed that it appeared to move through the sync process faster than usual. Sync showed "audio" content and "other" content to be the same size at about 4.5gbs.
After sync was completed I disconnected the phone and looked at the content of my phone. No apps, No music, No photo albums! SMS texts, Notes and Contacts still all intact on phone.
Tried multiple solutions including restore to fix the problem. Each time, when the phone is plugged in and mounted in iTunes, it shows audio content at 4.5gb and other content at 4.5gbs yet the phone itself has no music, no apps and no photo albums. It does still have pictures in "camera roll", though.
After trying many suggested solutions, I gave up and went to Apple store to see the Geniuses (Genii ) They did a firmware update and reset my phone. I was advised to restore from back up. However, when I tried to restore from my back up, it would fail to complete. Unable to restore from back up and sync attempts fail.
The only data I really don't want to lose is my text message history, my notes and my voice files from "Quick Voice" app.
Restoring from back up is not an option since I believe there are corrupt files in the back up. So what I want to know is can I restore my phone as a new phone, and then re-install my text message history, notes and the sound files from the "Quick Voice" app? Perhaps using a 3rd party app to retrieve those particular files from my back up and copy them to the phone directly? Or can I create a new back up file and copy those files to the new back up file. Hopefully I would then be able to restore from the newly created back up successfully since the likely corrupt files will be in the old back up file?
All other information; apps, photos, music and contacts can be re-installed from iTunes.Sigh....
And it just keeps getting stranger! I just disconnected the internet and opened iTunes on my Mac. It opens just fine when disconnected from the internet. iTunes crash seems to be caused when it's trying to connect to iTunes store????
Really need help!
1) Why is iTunes crashing when connected to internet?

When i close the lid, i have to wait 10 sec approx to trigger the LID close event and start the suspend action!
on wakeup i don't know because my samsung can wakeup only with the power button (no lid in wakeup events).
So somebody can enlighten me?

I can summarize it is a corruption of the Bios/ACPI module that affect this laptop after a certain suspentions circle (I mean not every first suspentions).
I would like to debug in a better way but i have no instruments to investigate:
If someone can point me to a way to debug this stuff like Bios corruptions and/or Kernel module failure...
Any advide is appreciated

a note:
when the kernel log the LID state i can suspend instantly after i really close the LID.
after a reboot, and halt/start thigs doesn't changes....
The kernel logger resume after some reboots or *resetting* (using a needle to click a button above the laptop close to the battery) the laptop <-- this method was whrote somewhere and i tried it, and solved sometinms the issue for 2/3 days.
is starnge because it appears without any regularity, but i'm not so pro and is difficult for me to figure out what can trigger the event!

The application called VirusScan that comes preloaded on the macbook will no longer open, claiming that it is corrupt and that I must reinstall it. After looking in the app store it does not appear that said application is available for re-downloading. Is there a special, non-app store place where I am to go for this?
Also, I installed MacKeeper about two-three months ago and am questioning its performance. Looking for input as to whether or not this application helps or hinders my system.I'll back up Csound on the MacKeeper thing. In fact, I actually wrote the following about it:

As for VirusScan, Barney is right on the money that it does not come preinstalled on any Mac shipped new from Apple. However you have gotten it, your best bet is removing it. I'm running Snow Leopard v 10.6 on a Macbook 4,1. I've got a 500 GB HD and 4GB of Ram. While trying to run the software update (to get me to 10.6.8, I think?) I keep getting an error message around 600 MB that says it's unable to be saved because the file might be corrupt and that it will try again when the software update is ran next time. Why am I getting this message? Is there a way to get the update (so I can eventually get to Lion), without going through the software update screen?

In Safari Preferences, General tab, set "Save downloaded files to: select destop, if it is not in thed rop down select other, then selcet Desktop from the left sidebar. After the download completes click on the installer package on your desktop and follow the prompts.
Also if possible use an ethernet conection as it is less prone to interference, thus less prone to corruption, and usually faster.
