2 files with exact the same PMS color look different

I was working on a print project for my company and all files are created in Illustrator CC. Here is the confusing part, in this logo color file I found from the company inside files, the PMS color code actually matches the CMYK color code, and they look exactly the same on screen:
But on all the files I'm working on, the PMS color looks washed, when using the convert button to convert PMS to CMYK, the code looks different too:
Is there a file color setting I need to change? Besides illustrator, the PMS color in Photoshop cc and InDesign cc all look wash out.

The Color Mode of the swatch only impacts how the the color appears on your monitor. The important thing is that the Color Type always be "Spot Color" regardless of the Color Mode when you're dealing with files for print. If it's set to Spot Color, then exporting the file to film will have a single color pass. If it's set to Process Color you'll get 1-4 color passes when exporting depending on your CMYK values.
For the company's branding guide, you have both color options depending on how the logo will be printed. If you had something that included a photo, then you would want to use the CMYK version of the logo because you're already going to have CMYK values from the photo. Using an additional spot color just for the logo then makes it a 5-color job, thus increasing the cost. If you were printing something that only used black for text and also included the logo, then you would use the PMS version as this makes it a 2-color print job.
In some circumstances you don't have an option of a CMYK break of a PMS color, such as metallics and fluorescents. Some companies only print their logo in a spot color despite having it as part of a 4-color print just due to how a CMYK version of their logo appears. Not every PMS color has a 100% accurate CMYK break. Most frequently the CMYK version is dull compared to the PMS color simply because the gamut for CMYK is not as diverse as the full range of PMS colors are.

There are two idcos with exactly the same data, however when they are processed, one is ok with status 53 whereas the other is not processed and has the status 51.
When I say same data, I mean both the idocs have the same message type, basic type, extension, partner no, partner type etc. Also, the data at the segment level is also the same.
Could you please let me know the reason for this?

Me too faced the same for the Inbound Invoic Idoc Application . alternatively I used to get the error . Once 53 next 51 ... like that .It was the data issue in segment field E1EDS01-SUMME Total value of sum segment.It was resolved after ging the proper value .

I've a logo which uses a particular pantone color. But when I copy & paste that logo onto another Illustrator file the color seems different. I've compared both documents color setting & mode they are the same. Can anyone advise me on what i have done wrong? Thanks

I have a Zen Micra (5Gigs, firmwire .02.05)
I would like to know if there is a way to fix a problem. When I rip an album with the correct tag and everything, my player split an album to put it in a different folders with the same artist name and same album name. Everything is ok otherwise, it's just cause sometime I have track of the album seperated from the others... What is Strange is that I doublechecked the infos and I made a "group" rename to make sure that the album and artist names are all the same for each of the album tracks.

Compilation discs don't carry the same artist name, if you haven't noticed yet. Sort by 'Album' to have the songs listed in the correct order for that album.

How to download a smartform output as excel file WITH EXACT LAYOUT.

     I have searched the forum but could not found any satisfactory answer. I have a smartform with a table, some texts and a logo. I have to write a code which will save the smartform output as excel file in the system keeping the layout of the smartform output EXACT.
i.e., the excel file will contain the output with EXACTLY THE SAME layout as would have been for a pdf file (if the smartform output is converted to a pdf file) and the client can then edit the fields of the table in the excel file. How can I achieve this? Please give a suggestion.. Thanks in advance.

Your Requirement is to download a smartform to microsoft Excel .
Well unfortunately we can only download data into excel which is in a tabular format i.e stored in internal tables we have function modules to do the same even u can do that using OLE2.
If u try to download a smartform to Excel only format supported will be ASCII, if u will continue with that the smartforms text's will get downloaded to excel but whole data would be downloaded in a single Cell.

As u said ,u want to download a smartform to Excel it could be done but only if u r using a internal table and exactly printing line by line values in the smartform, But if u are performing calculation in between, using multiple internal table Work areas, structures, etc i.e if whole smartform is developed with many distributed windows , unfortunately it wont be possible to download a smartform to excel in such cases, because the whole output comes from multiple internal tables, calculations, etc all the data is not printed in a tabular manner so in such a case it would be just impossible to download the smartform to excel.
But we definitely have a workaround which could be done to download the data into excel.
you can develop a ALV report with a header and footer u can define the header and footer of the alv according to the smartform and the middle portion would contain the tabular kind of data which u must be using as Smartform table to print the same.
So if u have a similar kind of smartform with some header data, tabular data, and some footer data, then u can use ALV to do the same thing , advantage with ALV would be that u can easily download the same into excel.
Other alternative is that u can Convert and download the smartform to PDF and copy the same to an Excel wooksheet.
These are all the possibilities with which u can do the same.

Not sure I understand the question. Are you talking about the "Download Response as PDF" feature (to see the PDF filled out with the filler's data) or the "Download Submission Enabled PDF" (to sent to people to fill out)?
If you imported a PDF in FormsCentral, the Submission Enabled PDF will look exactly the same as the imported PDF plus a submit button
If you designed the form in FormsCentral and save the Submission Enabled PDF it will look very similar to the web form (switch the view in the Design Tab to Page View to see what the PDF will look like)
The PDF doesn't use skip logic or show/hide logic so this mean that the PDF always shows all the form elements

Why does the same RGB color appear lighter in one ai file and darker in another?? I want to use the more vibrant color, but when I try to reproduce the same RGB color code in another Adobe Illustrator (ai) file, it shows up darker. I printed the two files out, and you can see the difference in the print too. I exported the color orginally as an eps file from an ArcGIS map.
Any insight is greatly appreciated!

You illustrator files may have different color profiles attached.
Set to show your color profile in the bottom left of each document by using the flyout menu >> show >> document color profile
Then you can use edit >> assign profile to get them the same
Yours are quite far off for RGB (which are usually close to each other for many profile due to wide gamut). I question as Jacob did if one of your documents are in CMYK mode. Look in parenthesis after the document name at top of window.
Check if view > proof setup is the same (do not use the uncoated profile as in my screenshot, that was only there cause of my testing)
Make sure view >> proofs colors is checked or unchecked for both.
To get them to print the same, check these settings are the same
Sorry for all the screenshots, but hopefully one day we will see Adobe's complex color management united all in one window.

Different EAR file size for 2 exactly the same set of source codes

I have 2 exactly the same sets of source codes for my application that were compiled in 2 different environment (say SIT and UAT; both using the same jdk versions), is it possible that the EAR files after build will be different in size too?
Can you suggest any online reading materials that I can read regarding this?

I already did a comparison of the 2 application, they are exactly the same (i only copied the source including the jars from PROD to UAT). I also did a comparison between the 2 EAR files generated (exploded the EAR file and compare each of the files), they are the same. My aim actually is to compile the application in Machine1 and deploy it in Machine2, I am just puzzled why the 2 EAR files generated by the 2 machines are different in size. Does it has something to do with the compression and compiling?
