2 ipads and 1 account

I just bought a second ipad and i will be keeping both. I want to have same identical apps on both phones. How do I set this up? Do I have to name both ipads the same or do they have to have different names? I want to be able to play an app on one device and the level of progress to be the same on the 2nd device. Can someone please walk me through this. Thanks!

You can give each iPad a different name. The key is to use the same Apple ID for both. I have an iPod and iPad on the same account. They share some of the same apps. Some iPad ones won't go onto the iPod and there are some on the iPod that I simply don't want on the iPad. There's a setting in iTunes to automatically update/download apps on all devices.
Progress being saved and shared depends on the app. I have one called Might Wings where progress updates across the devices, but other games that don't. So it depends on whether or not the games are coded to update and possibly whether or not they are tied in with Game Center.

You would have to open an account in the Canadian iTunes Store, which will require a Canadian payment method (Canada-issued credit card or prepaid iTunes card) and a valid Canadian mailing address.

You can have a different receiving email in the Messages app on each device : Settings > Messages > Receive At . I'm not sure that there is a different way to have the message only go to one device.

I have been able to log into what appears to be three of the four iCloud accounts I have. Two of them seem to be remarkably similar, and one appears to be only for my MacBook.I think I know which one my iPhone is backing up to, as I successfully restored from a back-up last week. The fourth iCloud account I can't access via password or security questions. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Obviously our Ipads are synced and I don't know how to correct this. Any advice ?

If you both have the same email account, there's no setting on iPad you can use. When a message is deleted, it's deleted from the mail account server, which will happen on both devices.

I have an IMac which is my main computer and two IPads and an Ipod Nano.
Obviously we use these in sync as an when required via Itunes.
I have recommended a friend to have an IPAD2 and she wishes to load some of her existing cds into her Itunes Account.
If I wish to do this with my own, it is simple as we simply use the Imac which transfers content into Itunes.
However, my friend does not have a separate computer so I wish to load her CD's into Itunes and then sync to her Ipad without interfering with my own library and using her Apple ID.

You cannot. Copy everything you want form the old computer to the new one, then sync it.
it basically says you have to erase your iphone to sync to a new itunes!
Correct Iphone will sync, or manually manage, with one and only one computer/library at a time. Syncing, or manually managing, to another will indeed erase the current content.

There is no solution. You have to provide the ID and password. There is no way around it. If the person you bought it from can't provide it, return it and get your money back.

We bought the iPhones and Ipad so that we could send emails while we are out of the Office, but we are not able to do this unless we can find a WiFi connection. Incoming emails are fine. We use IMAP, for Business emails just incase this is relevant and I know that Hotmail is POP3.

The only thing I can see strange is that when I login my iCloud account through my principal email address, when I check my preferences is marked an @me.com address that is old and I don't use it anymore, but I can't erase it or even change it.

Yes, the email addresses need to be unique to each device. You may use the same Apple ID on each device, but the email address used by each device needs to be different.

You don't input the information in manually for iCloud mail. It is automatically set up for you when you sign into iCloud via System Preferences and choose the Mail checkbox. Sign out of iCloud or deselect Mail in iCloud preferences. Open Mail's preferences and choose accounts tab. If iCloud account still exists in the list, delete it. Sign back into iCloud or check the box for mail. The account will be auto created for you.

iTunes Match is not sharable across Apple IDs. The best way to get the music on her iPad is to leave hers signed into her Apple ID on the iTunes Store and sync via USB.

Go to Settings/icloud. The Apple ID at the top of the screen is the only one you need to be concerned about. That one MUST be a working ID, and you must know the password for it, or you will be unable to use the phone if it ever crashes, you want to update it, or you want to sell it.
