2 iPhones: 1 phone call to both phones
Here is my situation:
I have an iPhone 5 (iOS 8) for private use and an iPhone 4S (iOS8) for business. Since I upgraded both phones to iOS 8, I have a problem.
When someone calls to my business phone, the call also apears on my private phone. The same problem happens when they call my private phone.
The additional result is that my handsfree function in my car doesn't work properly anymore, it gets confused (as I ).
Youre using the Continuity function.
Turn it off by following this....
You will only see this if you are on the same local WIFI!!!!
Conditions for Voice Calling Continuity
Devices must be on the same WiFi network.
The devices must be signed into the same iCloud account.
The devices must also be signed into Facetime with the same Apple ID.
The devices must have “iPhone Cellular Calls” set to on. This toggle can be found in Settings>Facetime>iPhone Cellular Calls

I've got an iPad and iPhone 4S, both of which are set up for facetime. When someone calls me, both the iPad and phone ring, even though the phone is set to receive facetime calls on the number and the iPad is set for an email account.
How can I change the setup so on the email only the iPad rings and on the phone number only the phone rings?No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that. -
My wife and i have 2 iphone 4s. Since i installed ios6 face time calls on both phones at the same time when friends try to face time me.
Also when my wife messages me her phone receives the message first in notifications barThis sounds like an Apple ID problem. Do each of you have your own Apple IDs? Are they each properly set on each phone? You might try logging out of Facetime and iMessage, then logging back in. This often fixes connectivity issues.

IPHONE 4S incoming calls go directly to voice mail. This is a brand new replacement phone. Prior phone didn't have this problem
Slide up from the bottom of your display to access the control panel.
Look for the button (should be at the top) that shows a crescent moon.
Tap that button. It should say "Do not Disturb: Off".
Then try it out and let us know if it worked. -

If you are saying that you both have iCloud accounts and use the same icloud ID, then yes, the contacts will be deleted. The idea is that all devices using the same icloud ID are kept in sync. You need to use different IDs. You can keep the same iTunes ID so you can share the songs and apps. But use different icloud IDs.

Using unlocked Iphone 2G phone with t-mobile - non emergency calls
Hello - I have gotten a used Iphone 2G phone. There is firmware installed into it and I am currently on t-mobile. The phone is unlocked. I have my t-mobile sim card in the phone....and I can dial out, and receive calls and (text messages) and that is about it. When I make a call it says 'non emergency calls only" but I can still dial out. from what I was told (from a local wireless company) the phone just can't get past the activation so if I can get past that it will work...please help me if at all possible. and will be more then happy to provide additional details with the issue....thank you in advance!
The phone was purchased unlocked (paid high price). But I guess there is a chance I got ripped off... If so, why does it work with different carriers in Sweden with different SIM cards?

Why doesn't Iphone have a call blocker, I am getting tired of paying for phone scam calls, why dpesn't someone make one. When my contract is up I am going back to the Droid.

For one thing, true call blocking (ie. where the call NEVER actually connects through to your number) can only be done by the service provider at their switches.
The best a device can do is allow the call to connect, and then use the caller ID information to compare that to a list of allowed and a list of disallowed caller IDs. That is a feature known as blacklisting, but it is not the same as actually blocking a call completely.
So as suggested, contact your carrier and ask what they can do for you. -
Why are the only numbers that show up in my "Recents" on the iPhone 3G the calls that I've missed? I used to have all recent numbers that had called, on my old phone. Is there some way to make it so that all my recent calls (in and out) show up on my phone?
At the top there's a toggle between "All" and "Missed". Click "All"

Settings > Phone > Call Waiting > On.
Edit - what I provided is for when recieving a call when on another call.
I have never used any other cell phone with multiple carriers that provides this info. -
my phone will no longer play music through headphones or on speaker but will work when making a call on both headphones and speaker. Also when I plug in my iPhone to a jack that uses a power amp like external speakers it works fine. I have no idea whats going on i've restored it twice and still nothing.

Luckily, if you be very careful and pay attention to what you have selected in itunes, you can separate these things
Basically, in iTunes, there are tabs at the top for Summary, info, apps, etc..
These tabs control PER DEVICE what syncs between itunes and the device.
Therefore, you can plug iPhone 4S #1 in, and select to sync contacts with address book, then do so. Then plug iPhone 4S #2 in, and not choose to sync with address book. iTunes will keep these settings separate. However, in that situation for music and apps, you would check to sync both on both, in order to get all music and apps on each.
The only thing to watch out for, each computer 'user' has only one set of address book and ical, meaning that if you want to sync both phones to the computer, but dont want to mix contacts, only one phone will be able to sync contacts and/or calendars. Basically, each category in the Info tab will only hold one device's information, so you CAN do contacts with iPhone 4S #1, and calendars with #2. -
IPhone's Phone contacts vs. iPhone's Contact contacts!
I'm really confused by the difference between the contacts I see in the iPhone's phone side of things and the "official" Contacts. They are called the same thing and yet they are different, which is really dumb IMHO. For instance, if I create a new contact (on the phone side of the device) based on the phone number of someone who's called me, it doesn't appear in my official Contacts list. What's the point of maintaining two separate lists of contacts within one iPhone? The consequence is that if I look up that individual in my (official) contacts, he's not there, so I'm constantly having to remember how I created a contact in the first place to know where to look. Am I missing something?

I believe I am saving to iCloud, but I'm not clear about your Settings path: in the Contacts section in Settings there is no "Default Account", but there is in the Mail section, which is presumably irrelevant (this is anyway set to iCloud).
Not sure what you mean by "is it selected as a group to show contacts" - kindly explain. When I tap Groups in my Contacts, "All Contacts" is ticked, and the (non-editable) heading at the top says ICLOUD.

Just to reiterate: the new contacts I create based on incoming or outgoing phone calls are not appearing in my Contacts, yet they are registered in the Recents page and they appear under Info when I tap the Info icon. When I create the new contact, I see the little activity wheel turning to indicate that the information is being sent somewhere. -

No. You can delete your iCloud account from your iPhone 4 and the information will remain in iCloud either through syncing or through a backup.or through both features. Just make sure you have a recent backup.

i purchased two songs on my iphone and it did sync with itunes. Then i put the two new songs in a music folder and it won't sync the songs to the folder on my iphone. same phone same computer never had this problem before.
In iTunes, try signing out of your Apple ID & then back in: click on iTunes Store on the left sidebar of iTunes, click on your Apple ID on the top right, sign out, sign back in. Then try to sync your purchased music to your phone again.
