2 iPhones + 2 MobileMe Account + 1 iTunes

Currently my wife and I both have iPhones and sync them to our indivdual accounts on our iMac.
My question is that I have iTunes and out library is on my account how can I get her account to see my library and snyc from the same music?

Mobileme account and itunes

I want to use my mobileme account as my default ID in itunes but it say I cant use it. I log in using my mobileme accunt and then go into my account settings to change to my mobileme email address but it says I cant use it. Am I doing something wront?

I tried:
disabling the addin in Outlook: no effect,
removing the MobileMe Control Panel via Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs (no-go there, as there is no Uninstall option),
flushing iTunes, Apple Sofware Update, Apple Mobile Devices Support, Bonjour and Apple Applications Support using Revo Uninstaller on its most aggressive setting and then re-installing iTunes: no effect.
In the end, I simply renamed C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\OutMMe32.dll to OutMMe32.dll.rjs
Seems to be a safe workaround; Outlook is back to its original behviour and iTunes is fine (or as much as it ever was, anyway).

Syncing 2 iphones with Mobileme account and family pack account

I can't seem to get this answered.. I have a .mac (mobileme) account and I just upgraded the account to the family plan which give me 4 additional accounts. I am trying to sync the second email account up with my ical and contacts and I can't figure out how to accomplish this. The ical and contacts are under my email and not the family pack email. I would like to know how you share ical and contacts with multiple iphones..........

Probably, but that would result in much logging in and out as we both access the home computer many times in one day. Also, I find that Windows XP slows down a bit with multiple accounts. (Still haven't upgraded to Mac yet... It's coming!) I'll give it a shot when I get home and see if it works. Thank you.

My wife and I each have a 1st Gen iPhone. We share one MobileMe account to easily keep the 2 iPhones synced with contacts and 4 calendars. My iPhone is working great, but her iPhone has a duplicate of each calendar. I have tried to disable mobileme on her iPhone and re-add it but still get the duplicate calendars.
I have searched the forums and have found nothing helpful as of yet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Two iPhones, One MobileMe Account?

I think I know the answer to this, but I'd like verification before I plunk down the cash...
I've had an iPhone for a while now, and I've been a .mac subscriber pretty much since that was launched.
My wife just got her iPhone yesterday. She has her bookmarks, contacts, etc. I have mine. If she syncs to MobileMe via my account, the two separate data sets (bookmarks, contacts, and calendars) become merged, right?
The only way to keep her data and my data separate is to upgrade to the family plan for MobileMe, right?

Hi there,
I am looking for a solution for the following problem:
I have an iPhone which is synced with the iTunes library, addressbook and calendar on my MacBook in my user account.
My girlfriend will soon have an iPhone, too. We would like to each have our own addressbook and calendar synced with our phones but share one (=my) iTunes library (music, apps, ...).
Activating her phone with my Apple-account wouldn't be a problem for her. Do I also have to create an user account on my Mac for her in order to have her own addressbook and calendar? How will she access "my" iTunes library from her account? Or if she uses my user account, how will she get her own addressbook?
Is there any practical solution for this (common?) problem?

Sharing Contacts with IPhones and MobileMe

My friend and I need to share contacts. We both have Iphones and MobileMe accounts, but I have an IMac and he has a PC. I know how to share my address book with him using Mac OS and MobileMe, but how can I get access to his contacts?

Thanks, both were checked, but I decided to turn off contacts on on the iPad, kept contacts, then turned on again. That worked at least so far. Thanks for helping me get my brain working!!

IPhone Calendar Entries No Longer Sync With iCal or MobileMe Account

I've been experiencing this for a few months now, and was hoping someone might have some ideas on how to fix this issue I am having.
Every time I enter a new entry onto my Calendar from my iPhone... those entries do not show up on either my Desktop iCal or Mobile Me account online (this used to work). However... if I enter a new entry on either my desktop or Mobile Me account... those entries do show up on my iPhone.
I do not sync my Contacts or Calendars using iTunes. That is turned off. I sync through MobileMe.
Any help would be appreciated.

On your iPhone, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Select your MobileMe account.
Turn Calendars off for over the air syncing. A warning message will be provided indicating your MobileMe online calendars and calendar events will be deleted from your iPhone with an option to keep the calendars on your iPhone or delete from your iPhone. Select Delete from My iPhone.
Follow this by turning Calendars back on for over the air syncing.
Enter a new calendar event on your iPhone to test if the new calendar event shows up with your MobileMe online calendar and with iCal on your Mac.

Mobile me has been discontinued for over a year. What system and iPhoto versions are you running?
How are you trying to sync? With Photo Stream or thru iTunes?
Do you have an iCloud preference pane in your System preferences?

I am having problems getting my Mac, iPhones, iPad to properly syncronize...
I am trying to sync my:
iMac
iPhone
Wife's iPhone
iPad
Between me and my wife we have 3 accounts:
Wifes iTunes account : [email protected]
My iTunes account: [email protected]
MobileMe: [email protected]
My iTunes account has been our primary account for most content however iCloud will not let me login using my gmail account, I have to use my mobileme account which I just had a trial of and have never really used.
So when I updated all our devices to iOS 5 I am having lots of conflicts with: Find my iPhone, iCloud syncing, iTunes store purchases, apps, facetime etc.

unable to use facetime whatsoever
unable to make purchases on itunes or app store because my wife's account info got synced to my iphone etc.
I want to use my gmail account since that is the account that has 99% of all my iTunes purchases. Can I use my gmail account with iCloud??

Delete around 1,000 tracks so that the limit is reduced below 25k.
Hold shift key whilst turning off match. Close iTunes then reopen. Turn on match, you will be asked to add this computer, do so. The process may take sometime but if tracks had need previously matched or uploaded, the process will be quicker that a complete new scan.
Once scan has completed, check that the tracks have been matched, uploaded or purchased. Create a playlist based on iCloud status being matched or uploaded. This will tell you the total number of tracks that count towards the 25k. You can now think about readding the deleted tracks.
If you go over 25k non iTunes purchased track again, you can use the second library method to manage your main library. When you delete a track from the cloud it does not delete it from your computer. When you go back to your main library you will see the iCloud status as "Removed". Match will ignore in future scans.

Move old iTunes Store account over to new MobileMe account

I currently have two iTunes accounts, one linked to my old Hotmail email and the second one is connected to my MobileMe. At the moment, all purchases done with my iPhone are linked to that Hotmail account, which I'm trying to close down.
Is there a way to copy/move/merge the information in the hotmail account, and switch it over to my MobileMe account?

First, I don't think simply closing the e-mail account means that you must close the iTunes account. The e-mail address is simply your ID for the iTunes Store account. (And I believe you should be able to change the e-mail address associated with the account so that you still receive receipts, etc. This seems to vary, though. Some users are able to change this while others are not.)
Second, this question has been asked before, and the general response has been that it's not possible. But others have suggested contacting store support. New iTunes account with existing MobileMe account

Hello everyone, last year I bought a MobileMe package, which I officially use and registered with my truthful information and address in Italy.(I'm italian). Today, as I already have an italian iTunes account with a different email address, I just wanted to create a new one using this MobileMe address and I wanted to create a US account. I've tried downloading a free app, enter my mobileme username and password but I can't see NONE as payment method in addition to credit cards. The system tells me that my address has not yet been enabled on iTuens and asks me to enable it. When I enable it, it lets me choose the country and choosing the US I can only select between credit cards and Paypal. I can not find the NONE option. Obviously, paypal does not work because my paypal account is a non US account. Someone can help me? Thanks.

This is one of the reasons why maintaining a backup of the important data stored on your computer's hard drive is important, which should include your iTunes library. The iPhone is not designed or intended to be used as a backup storage device.
In regards to iTunes content, an iPhone can be synced or manually managed with an iTunes library on a single computer only, and photos can be transferred from a single computer only. When transferring iTunes content and photos from another computer, all iTunes content and photos transferred from a different computer will be erased from your iPhone first.
Your computer is detected as a new or different computer after replacing the hard drive.
iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iPod or iPhone, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only.
First you need to re-authorize your computer with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so.
With your iPhone connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.
If a 3rd party app does not transfer from your iPhone, you can re-download the app with iTunes on your computer and your won't be charged again for a purchased app as long as you use the same iTunes account to re-download the app that was used to purchase the app originally.
Before syncing contacts with the Address Book and calendar events with iCal if this data wasn't included with your computer's backup and hasn't been restored from your computer's backup - both applications don't have any data or new entries, enter one contact in the the Address Book and one calendar event in iCal on your Mac. This will provide a merge prompt with the first sync for this data, which you want to select.

Two macs -- one iTunes account -- one mobileme account

ok, so i hope i can get my question across correctly. thanks in advance for those of you that help. i have a macbook pro, along with an iPhone and an iPad. my husband has an iMac and an iPad. we both want to be able to use the same iTunes account but we both want to be able to sync our iPad's & iPhone to our own computers. we both also want to sync in mobileme. my questions:
1. how do we sync both computers to one iTunes account?
2. do we both need to have a separate mobileme account?

This might be just the place to post my question.
First, I'm on Windows Vista ... not a mac ... and I do not own MobleMe ... wondering if someone has suggestios for me concernign sharing an iTunes account between me and my wife.
Currently, my wife and I have separate Windows Logons ... and we each have our own respective iTunes account. She syncs her iTunes with her iPhone, and I sync my iTunes with my iPad and iPhone.
I'm interesting in merging our separate iTunes accounts into one for the purpose of not having to purchase duplicate apps that we each will be wanting in the future. (She doesn't know it yet, but she's going to get her own iPad for a surprise present.)
Looks like we are going to repurchase all her paid apps and place those into my account ... (she has fewer paid apps than I have, and that seems to be the least expensive way to start off.)
So... Here's my question:
Is it better to have her sign off permantly from her installed iTunes Account, and sign back on as "me" ... then download all the apps I have already bought that she wants? ( I.e. have two separate iTunes installations - both using the same login ID and password ... but personally configured to our liking).
... OR ...
Is it better to delete her installation of her iTunes Account and just start using mine ... again configured to her liking by checking which apps should install her her devices and which should be installed to my devices?

How do I get Notes from my "On My iPhone" Account to my MobileMe account?

On my iPhone, how do I get the Notes from my "On My iPhone" Account to my MobileMe account? There's no way to move them. These "On My iPhone" Notes won't sync to my Mac Mail on my MacbookPro either. All I want to do is simply move all my "On My iPhone" Notes on my iPhone to the MobileMe account. I thought I could do it in Mac Mail but I can't even get those Notes to appear in Mac Mail.

I found the solution. Hopefully this works for everyone else other than myself.
1- On Mac - In Mail - Go to preferences->General Tab->Click on MobileMe icon towards the bottom->Click on Sync tab and tick Notes in the list. Close and save
2- on iphone - go to settings ->mail, contacts, calendars->select your mobileMe account->Turn Notes syncing to ON. get out of settings
3 - on iphone - go to Notes app. There now should be an Accounts tab at the top left. Click on Accounts and only select the MobileMe account.
Now all future notes created in Notes from your iphone will show up in Mail under Notes in your Mac.
Note: If you currently have notes in your iphone then do this to transfer onto MobileMe
A- Connect your iphone to your Mac to sync with iTunes. After syncing is completely highlight your iphone in iTunes and go to Info tab. Towards the bottom under the heading Other tick Sync Notes. Click on apply to sync your iphone to your mac again.
B- After the sync is complete you should now see all your notes from your iPhone in Mail under Notes On My Mac. Highlight all these notes and drag them into MobileMe notes icon.
That's it. All your notes now should be in sync with everything else in MobileMe. I hope this helps.
