2 iPhones on the same PC? any conflicts?

Hey everyone. Currently I use a PC to sync/backup my iPhone but tomorrow I'm going to New York for 3 months and giving the PC to my brother. Can he sync his iPhone to the same computer/iTunes without problem? I just want to make sure because this will be the last time I can back my iPhone up before I go and I don't want his to overwrite mine, if you know what I mean.
Advice? Thanks!

You can both use the same PC for your iPhones no problem at all.
iTunes will treat them as two separate devices and all settings for each are independent of each other.
You can even connect both at the same time and there are no problems.

Have you tried contacting your ISP for support? Can you confirm that the email is suppose to be over Port 110 and not 143, or 995/993?

my iPhone 4 appears with no service every day, i have to make restart and a few hours later again the same problem, Any other solution please???

This is almost always a symptom of a phone that was jailbroken or hacked to unlock it.
Where did you get the phone?

  • HT204022 I have iPhoto, iOS, etc. all up to date.... however my iPad, iPhone, and Mac PhotoStreams all contain different pictures and aren't the same. Any ideas why? I'd rather not reset the whole thing if I don't have too.

OK, restart in Safe Mode, this will clear some caches. It's possible one or more is corrupt. To restart in Safe Mode when you hear the start up tone hold down the Shift Key until you see a progress bar. Let it fully boot then restart normally and test.
Also I am assuming you have checked Finder - Preferences  - General and see what boxes are checked in "Show these items on desktop." You can also mount an item in Disk Utility, simply highlight it and then look in the File menu for Mount.....

you most likely have imessage on both iphones and sending/receiving to same number on one of the iphones. go to settings messages > send and receive > check the numbers/emails on both iphones. once you uncheck the numbers/emails you dont want you will not be getting the messages any more. a little bit more info is helpful read this http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5538.

By signing up for an apple ID it means she will be able to download her own apps and music and in future redownload if required for free. Ideally it should be the primary email address she uses as you can't transfer purchases etc to another ID.
Photos shouldn't disappear but back them up before hand. These days everyone gets an iCloud.com address so she could use this as her ID. You would need to go to www.apple.com/iCloud from a computer to sign up for this. Bearing in mind you need a mac with lion or mountain lion or a pc with windows vista onward to take advantage of all services like calendar sync and find my iPhone etc.
Otherwise sign up for an apple id with any other email address. You can do this at https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/
AND Click on create an apple ID.
the applications linked to your existing apple ID will have to be redownloaded on the other ID but you won't lose them on yours.

Was your phone ever locked to a different phone carrier than the one your on now?
If so how was your phone unlocked?
Very rarely is the server unavailable.
Is your phone jailbroken or was your computer used to jailbreak a device?

  • Is my Apple ID the same for any Apple product I'm using like iPad  or iPhone or my PC laptop?

Is my Apple ID the same for any Apple product I'm using like iPad  or iPhone or my PC laptop?

If you only have one Apple ID, then yes.
It is the same for all devices.
Just like a drivers license would be no matter what car you were driving.

Open the Settings app on teh iPad, go to Notifications and check to see what you have set up.
Make sure Do Not Disturb isn't set to On.

  • I mistakenly registered my wife's and my iPhone under the same account on the same computer, albeit with different passwords. How do I separate these phones?

This mistake has confused the account somehow and actions done on one phone often have an effect on the other. I took these phones back to the dealer where they were purchased a few months ago, and they were able to correct some of the issues, but we still have problems. The latest is that my wife password would not work on her Apple ID account so she changed it successfully, but a few days later when I tried to update an app on my phone, and in trying to sign in to iTunes, it showed her name instead of mine, and of course, would not accept my password.
When we first bought these phones about a year ago, I registered them both inder the name "R & P's iPhone" and tried to assign different passwords for the 2 phones, but as I recall, this was not successful. We let it go at that, inasmuch as we had not explored the phone's features much beyond making simple phone calls. But as time went on, and we began installing apps and using other features, this conflict has showed up more and more often. Now I am told by the dealer that one cannot register 2 phones on the same computer, which sounds odd to me, but whatever, we are prepared to start over & register the phones on different computers, under different names.
I have an iTunes account, but is this where you make these changes? All I see on iTunes is related to music & movies.
    Thanks kindly for any advice.
    R & P

I access a personal iPhone and iPad, and a business iPhone with the same Apple ID.
The iPhone's passcode lock feature is completely separate from another iPhone or iOS device.
All apps, all paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the Apple ID that was used to download the apps. If some apps were downloaded with one Apple ID and then a new Apple ID is created, in order to download an app update that was installed with the original Apple ID requires using that Apple ID and password.

  • Using 2 iPhones on the same iTunes account

My fiancee and I are wanting to use both of our iPhones on the same iTunes account because she doesn't download music and I do. I can't for the life of me figure out how to make it so she has access to my account and I am scared I will mess something up and have to reset the phones. I am not sure as to the state of her appleID or itunes, either way everything on it was stuff I have given her so not a big deal really. Any suggestions? I imagine it is fairly simple but its frustrating me lol.

Not sure what the  issue is.
    Please explain

  • My phone has the correct AppleID in the in settings section but asks me to login with one that isn't mine.  I deleted the ID from my itunes but it still won't let me login with mine. How do I get my iPhone on the same page?

My iphone4 has the correct Apple ID in the information settings section and asks me to login to my ID most of the time but when I try to update my apps, it asks me to login with an ID that isn't mine.  I deleted the wrong ID from my itunes but it still won't let me login with my own ID to update apps.  How do I get my iphone on the same page?

How did you obtain these apps? All apps are DRM protected & tied forever to the account used to originally obtain them. They cannot be transferred to another Apple ID(account), nor can they be updated using any Apple ID other than the one that was used to originally obtain them.

I have 2 ipads and my iphone on the same icloud account and it wont let me back it up cause I dont have enough space. So I want to move my iphone over to a new icloud account with my new apple id that i made but i dont want to delete the ipads off the old account just move the iphone to the new one. How do I do that I despreatly need help!!!

To migrate your phone to a new account, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll.  If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep on the phone, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; your other devices won't be effected by this), provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone (if using iOS 7) and choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted .  Then sign back in with your new Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data to the new account.

  • How can I set up two iPhones with the same contact, photos, music etc... but a different sim card and phone number. They will both be my phones, but one will be for use in other countries.

How can I set up two iPhones with the same contact, photos, music etc... but a different sim card and phone number. They will both be my phones, but one will be for use in other countries.

Phone A = phone with information you want duplicated
Phone B = phone that you want to copy from A
    Backup Phone A.
Wipe Phone B using these instructions. What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Phone B should be on the 'Hello' screen. Do not swipe it. Launch iTunes. Plug in Phone B.
When iTunes asks if you want to set up as new phone or restore from backup, choose restore from backup of Phone A.
After this setup, any changes to one phone (i.e. adding a contact, downloading an app) will have to be manually duplicated on the second phone, if that is your desire). Making changes to one phone will not affect the other after setup.

  • Can two Iphones have the same account/email address?

Can two iphones have the same account/email address? I bought two phones-one for my wife and the other for myself. They are both under the same account /itunes account /email address-Would this cause a conflict with the two phones?

No, as long as you want to share the same account for iCloud's services like Mail, Calendars, Contacts, Reminders, Notes, iCloud, Documents etc.
I personally would create two accounts so that everyone could have and use  heir own mail account, address book, create meetings, reminders etc. without reading and deleting stuff of the other person.
