2 ipods are on same account ----want separate accounts but how?

i own an ipod touch nano and its registered to me on a shared computer with my bf. i bought my bf a ipod touch and when he went to authorize his ipod account through itunes, my account information was used and his ipod is now registered to me. how do we fix this so he can have his own account on itunes and have his pod registered to him? is it possible? thanks for any help

He can log out of your account at the bottom of his iPod touch's iTunes app and then login with his Apple ID. Also, you could create another User account on the computer and manage your music there.

  • 2 iPods, 1 PC, want separate accounts

I have two iPods connected to 1 computer. I don't want to share the music with my daugher. Is there a way to create 2 separate accounts or separate the 2 iPods into 2 different accounts so we don't have to check and uncheck music when updating our iPods? Thank

The easiest thing to do would be create a computer user account for your daughter. That way, she'll have her own profile, desktop, favorites, and iPOD configuration.

  • Two Users/Accounts: Want separate views of purchases. Possible?

    Hi!
Grateful for advice on setting up iTunes/Store so that when I purchase music my tracks appear in one list, and when my wife signs in on her account she can see her own songs.
We have just set up an account for my wife, but when she signs in the 'purchased' list shows the items I bought through my account. So, it looks as though our separate purchases will all pile in together and appear in the same list as time goes on. We really need to keep things separate for the sake of sanity.
    Can this be done?
    Help save our marriage!
    Cheers
      Windows XP

The best way (and perhaps the only way) would be to have separate accounts in Windows and each of you log into Windows using your own account. That would keep your iTunes libraries completely separate.

  • Tax to be posted both to material account and separate account

    Dear all,
My client wants vat to be added to material cost and he wants to post to separate account. How can we process this.
When i take the acct key NAV it is going to separate account only
and if i take it is adding to material cost .But both are not happening at the same time . How to overcome this.
    Thanks in advance
    regards
    vithal

    Dear,
make a Z condition for that VAT.
    make Z account key
assigne G/L account to thast acccount Key.
DONT ASSIGN Z condition OF VAT IN CLASSIFY CONDITION TYPE
Just try this out , m not sure but it will solve ur problem of inventorising the VAT as well as passing it to some diff account.
But the same will be inventorised at the time of MIRO only.
DONT FORGET THIS IS THE WORK AROUND SOLUTION NOT THE STANDARD PRACTICE
    regards,

    Do you mean iTunes library?
iTunes account is what you use to make iTunes purcahses.
iTunes library is what is on your computer.
It says my phone can only be set up woth one itunes account. How do I remove the previous account?
No, it tells you it can only be sync'd with one iTunes library.
Simplest way is to copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder (thisis the iTunes library) from old computer to new computer.

  • HELP!!!  Message - (One or more applications are using the iTunes scripting interface. Are you sure you want to quit?)  How do I get this to stop?

I bought a new Sony Vaio Laptop running Windows 8, 64bit, i7 processor.  Everytime I open iTunes and then close out, the following message occurs: (i-tunes message - One or more applications are using the iTunes scripting interface. Are you sure you want to quit?) Then it starts counting down from 20 seconds unless I just click on the (Quit) button.  How do I get this to stop?  Please be specific, I am challenged when it comes down to computers.
    Thank You

This was extremely annoying for me, also.  I started uninstalling unneeded Sony applications to try to narrow down the problem.  It turned out not to be a Sony application... it is some functionality built into the bluetooth driver software package by Broadcom.  Uninstalling the bluetooth package (via the control panel) takes care of the problem.  Itunes also boots up way quicker.  But uninstalling it will remove features related to bluetooth and nfc.   For me, that isn't an issue, since I don't use them.  Since you said you're "computer challenged" I would probably just send an email to sony complaining about the problem.  They'll get in touch with Broadcom eventually (the manufacture of the drivers) and get the problem fixed.
Side note: the Broadcom package is huge...  nearly 1GB in size.  Which is crazy.  I can't imagine what it does considering the size of it.  Entire operating systems can take up less storage.  Also, I have no idea how it starts an itunes plugin without placing it into the standard plugin directories.

  • ITunes Match expired; I want to renew, but how?

I got the following email from iTunes Store today:
Your subscription for iTunes Match expired on 11/14/12. Your complete music collection and playlists in iCloud are no longer available from your iOS devices, iTunes, or Apple TV. You will still be able to download from iCloud any music you previously purchased on iTunes from the Purchased area of the iTunes Store. You can also sync your music to your iOS devices using iTunes for Mac+PC. To renew your subscription now, open iTunes on your Mac or PC and choose Turn on iTunes Match from the Store menu.
However, when I turn on iTunes Match from the Store menu, it behaves as it always has (as if iTunes Match had never expired), so I have no idea how to actually renew my membership.  I've tried turning iTunes Match off and on several times, but it never takes me to any sort of order/renew page.  I've also tried signing out/in on iTunes.  I definitely want to renew, but for some reason the Auto Renew did not go through (my payment details are fine, as I am able to purchase from the iTunes Store without a hitch).
Any advice?  iTunes Match actually seems to be working fine, but I don't want to wait for it to actually die before renewing.

Same. I want to renew, but no where to find. According to apple help pages, if you click account, there should be a place to select auto renew itunes match like below:
But my itunes doesnt have it at all!!

  • My ipod syaes it is disabled connect to itunes but how?

My daughter tryed to enter in a pass code on my ipod over 15 times and now it sayes "ipod dissabled connect to itunes" but how do i do this ????

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
    iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • 2 Ipods/1 account or separate accounts?

Is it possible to use one Itunes account to service two Ipod Touch's (each one requiring different content)? Alternatively, can I have 2 Itunes accounts using the same debit card? How would I do that?
My second child will shortly acquire her own Ipod and will not want the same stuff as her older brother but as I download - and pay for - their purchases, I'm confused on how to manage this.

    Welcome to the discussions,
If you are using the same account for both, you can set up each device separately. iTunes will "remember" the settings for every added device. There will be separate backups as well.
If you use different accounts, you'll have to change the login every time you connect the other device.
In that case a second user account for your computer would be the better solution.

  • Our kids iPod Touches. Do we need separate accounts?

We have three iPod touches for our kids.  What is the best to get them set up apps/games? Do we need to get them separate itunes accounts?

You can continue to share a common Apple ID for purchases in iTunes, but many use separate Apple ID for iCloud to prevent this. You can still use the same on if you want. We have 4 devices, 3 phones and an iPad mini that share an Apple ID for iCloud. You just go into the settings area for iMessage and FaceTime for the devices and set the Send and Receive. For the phones, just set the actual phone number for the device, and for the iPad you can set the email address. The alternative is to set up new Apple IDs for iCloud for each device.

  • Should my wife and I use the same Apple account or separate accounts?

Should my wife and I use the same account or our own accounts?
We each have our own iPhones and we share one iPad.
We have one computer where we use iTunes (our main desktop at home).
On iTunes on our computer, sometimes we are logged into my wife's iTunes account and sometimes we are logged into mine.
My iPhone was set up with my account and my wife’s was set up with her account.
My wife's iPad is set up with her account (but it seems like it is pretty easy to log out and then log in with my account if I want, I think).
Since we log into our respective accounts on iTunes and have our own accounts for our iOS devices, we purchase music, games, etc. on both accounts.
If we continue with our current method of different accounts, I am worried that our music, games etc. will be separated so that we won't be able to access them all from each of our devices.  For example, I'm thinking of setting up that Home Sharing thing where you can use your iOS device to stream off your computer's iTunes but I think it only streams off the iTunes account you are currently signed into.
Is this a good idea or should we just pick one of our accounts and use it exclusively?
If we just use one account, should our phones both be signed in / started up with that one account?
    Thanks for any info.

  • Two Ipods using the same PC want different Music Librarys

I recently bought an Ipod for me and my roommate. We Have one PC that we use for Itunes. We have two different accounts for Itunes but when I switch accounts it's the same music library. If my roommate wants to plug in her Ipod and access her own music library on the same PC, how do I go about doing that? In other words, when she plugs her Ipod in, how do I avoid having my library uploaded to her Ipod?

There are a couple of ways to do this.
Here is an article from the apple support website that might help.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300432
method 1 works if you do not mind multiple logins
    method 2 is the easiest.
method 3 works if you do not mind restarting itunes.
    Hope this helps.

  • Broken iphone 5 I want to sell but how do I remove accounts etc?battery is bust too please help

I Need to sell the phone ,how do I wipe all data and accounts? Batter isnt working and screen is smashed ,buyer will repair it but need to remove passwords etc

You can reset your iPhone to factory settings with iTunes or by going to settings, this article may help you: Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings. As for the battery, you will need to request a battery service from an Apple authorized repair center, you can request one here: https://www.apple.com/support/iphone/repair/battery-power/. If your iPhone is still under Apple's limited warrantee (1 year), you may be eligible to repair it for free as a defective battery is covered, but if your iPhone is not under warrantee, then it may cost you $79 to repair. If you are also looking into repairing the screen, it will cost you $269 to repair as accidental damage is not covered under Apple's limited warrantee. I suggest that if your iPhone is still under warrantee, you send it to Apple for repair (battery only) as it may cost you nothing. (Shipping costs do apply.)
