2 iPods, none of them are working!!
1.- I have the iPod photo 30GB for a year now and it's been working perfectly good till 4 days ago. I got the "sad iPod icon" and tried everything possible to get it back. Resetting, restoring, removing iTunes, getting them back (lastest version), but none of the solutions the apple support service tell to do is working. I guess i have to take it to the store on the weekend and wait the long long line they use to have every single day ( and if you're lucky, you get the problem solved the same day)
2.- I also have the iPod video 30GB, which was also working till 3 days ago. This case comes complicated because it was working, then stopped working, and when "came to life", all the music and videos had dissapeared. I plugged to my laptop to update the songs, etc, but the iTunes does not even read the Ipod ( already checked the computer and it seems the device works properly), so i can't update and have the music library back to the iPod.
Is anybody out there who can help or give some intelligent advise??)) besides telling me to get both of the iPods to the store?>> THANKS
I am awaiting a SECOND replacement 30gig video ipod. The old one and the replacement have crashed and are non responsive after updating to the latest i tunes/ipod updates both showed a greyed out ! and a file plus www.ipod/support. A very helpful call cntre guy in India spent 1 hour trying to resolve replacement ipod error but sadly it has to go bacvk for replacement.

It keeps telling me that one of the USB devices for this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it. I have tried all of the ports and still am not having any luck. I have purchased 3 brand new cables and none of them are working. I have tried to update the driver but it says I am using the most up to date. Have you tried uninstalling the driver for your iPod from within Device Manager? After uninstalling it, go ahead and unplug your iPod and plug it back in. Doing so should cause your system to locate the proper driver for it.

I had to change my Apple ID and password in itunes. Now my icloud doesn't work and I can't update my apps on my iPhone. I have looked at suggestions on the community pages and apple suggestions but none of them are relevant to iOS 8.1.2
icloud just keeps bringing up my old email address & asking for my old password which doesn't exist anymore and when I try to sign out of icloud it wants my old password, when I tried to change my primary email back to the old one it wants me to verify it through an email address that doesn't exist. I understand that you updated your Apple Id and password but now you are being prompted for the old information in iCloud. You are on the right track by changing the Apple ID back to the previous email address temporarily so that you can sign out. You should not need to verify the email address. After you edit the Apple ID back to the old email address and then sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, edit the Apple ID back to the address you would currently like to use. There is no need to change the password again, only the email address, unless you prefer to update the password again.

Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out to confirm. If you're using iOS 7 or earlier, tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap Keep on My [Device] or Delete from My [Device]. In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.

My iphone 5 won't charge and it's in perfect condition, I dont drop it and it's not cracked. I tried multiple chargers, none of them are damaged and my outlets work with other things so the problem is my phone. What's wrong with it and what should I do? Please help me I need my phone for work.

I just had my iphone stolen from me. In the past I have always set up my phones an ipads on to the find my iphone service. I have never deleted them from the find my iphone account and now I have 3 iphones showing and 2 ipads. How can you tell the difference when none of them are labeled as Iphone 4, iphone 4s, iphone 5, etc. No dates are shown as when purchased so it I can't figure out which one is the correct iphone to put on lost mode and send message to.
Deleting on one device does not affect another device.
You can delete the App's on the iPhone and nothing will happen to the ones on the iPad.

2. Settings->Cellular->"Use Cellular Data For" will show the data usage for each App since the last statistics reset
3. Settings->General->Background App Refresh Will show which Apps are allowed to get data in the background
4. It restricts it to Wifi. If the App requires internet access and Data is turned off, it will have to wait until the device is connected to a wifi network.
5. Nope, You just use up battery since the BT radio will continuously look for nearby BT devices.
6. The Personal Hotspot uses your cellular internet connection from your phone or other cellular device; whether you consider that secure or not I cannot say. It also depends on what you are doing while connected to the Hotel's wifi. I would not do online banking while on vacation though. -
On the dropdown menu where my bookmarks are, I select "show all bookmarks", which opens up a window called "Library". I should have hundreds of bookmarks, but none of them are showing in this window.
This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

While updating my apps, I lost my wi-fi connection. I have since tried to update the apps several times...but none of them are updating. Each time I try to update the apps, I enter my password, but then nothing happens. Thank you - Chris
Hold the power button and the home button down until the screen goes black and the apple logo appears. This will do a reset and you should be able to update your apps then.

I cannot get itunes to work/install on myPC. I am running windows 8 in a 64 bit machine. I also want to purchase books via itunes for my Nook. Are you deliberately excluding PC owners so we cannot use ituens on our computers???? I have selected a community but have no idea what community I should be working with. Can somone explai these communities to me? Also. you don't allow much time to go thru the sign up process. I had to start over SEVERAL times as you kept timing me out. Jesus...when people are signing up for the first time, we have no idea of the questions that will be asked. Give us a break and give us time to sign up. Not everone is disability free and able to go thru your process quickly...you are NOT user friendly. You should be for people who are wanting to join your community. A flashing question mark appears when I re/start my MacBook Air 2013. Then, I pressed POWER & OPTOIN buttons and internet options appeared for internet recovery. After internet recovery, the OS X utilities appears with four options (Restore from Time machine, Reinstall OS X, Get help online and Disk utility). But none of them seemed helpful. On the last option Disk utility, the icon created only with 33KB and other disk 1 Mac Os X Base system. On First Aid, the icon Repair disk is disabled. So I could not click on repair disk. Could you please suggest me how to solve this problem asap? Thank you so much for your help in advance!You can try the following:
Install or Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Erase the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the
left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on
the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass. Click on
the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless. -
I am unable to connect to WiFi on my iOS7 devices. I have an iPhone 5 and a iPad. The WiFi symbol shows connection to my wireless router but no internet connection is received. My other non-iOS7 devices are connecting without any problems. I have tried resetting network settings on both devices and rebooting my router with no luck.
