2 Issues: asked to authorize computer that is already authorized.  Library and playlist on itunes is gone.  Is there a way to move items from my ipod onto itunes?

When I want to add an application itunes continually has me sign in, it then tells me this computer is already authorized, then the process starts all over again and no applications get transferred due to this.
I recently deleted files to free space on my laptop.  Turns out I must have deleted what itunes was linked to.  Is there a way to get my playlist from my ipod onto itunes or do I need to find all those CDs again and upload them?

- You can transfer iTunes purchases to the computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
- For non-iTunes purchased music you need a third-party progam like one of those discussed here:
Copy music from Ipod to new computer...: Apple Support Communities
On the iPOo and the computer are those signed into the iTunes accunt that purchased the apps?
One computer go to iTues>Store sign out of existing account and sign into the one you want.  For the iPod go to Settings>Store

  • Is there a way to get music from your iPod onto the computer?

I recieved most of the music that is currently on my iPod from my cousin, but if i want to add some of MY music to the iPod then i have to erase all of her music off of it! Is there a way to save the music that is already on there and then put it back on the iPod once it has been erased?

First of all try this method which works on some Windows PCs.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it can be messy.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
There is also CopyPod. This does preserve ratings/playcounts etc if those are important to you but this program is not free.
If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.

  • HT1420 How do I get these 383 songs to reauthorize on a computer that is already authorized ?

I have 383 songs that seem to have only part of my Apple ID.
These files were deauthorized from a PPC G4 MDD and may date back to when I billed through AOL.
I have many more that work fine on my iMac.

    Hi lgmmo,
I think your best best to get this resolved is to contact Adobe Customer Care. Here's the contact info: Contact Customer Care.
A quick Chat session should get you fixed up.

  • Is there a way to import music from my ipod to the computer?

is there a way to import music from my ipod to the camputer?
I have music from all over the world and i want to import all of it to my computer..

Sorry for insulting Apple. This whole thing has me frustrated. You would think that this is an easy thing...which it is after downloading the third party software and all.
I am just a bit edgy after talking to 3 customer support folks for almost 2 hours, who I could barely understand and then having them just tell me to download the files again. 3500+ songs...jumping out the window was looking more pleasant (jk). Now I have to explain to the wife why the phone is busted in-two...lol.
Anyway, I was able to get hooked up with some software and it seems to be downloading fine. I am using iPodCopy. Thanks for the nudge in the right direction and putting up with a bit of attitude. I am sure they have their reasons for not making this an easier operation.

  • HT201269 I have years worth of music on my PC that is about to die.  If I get an iPad is there anyway to get the music from my PC onto the iPad? I have the iCloud but my understanding is only music actually purchased from iTunes lives int he cloud.

I have years worth of music on my PC that is about to die.  If I get an iPad is there anyway to get the music from my PC onto the iPad? I have the iCloud but my understanding is only music actually purchased from iTunes lives int he cloud. I have music that was legally purchased and loaded to my iTunes account from cd's that I no longer own.  I need a new laptop and am deciding between the iPad and the Mac book.  I use the computer for music, photos, and web - nothing else and nothing fancy.  I don't know that there is a way to save my huge music library without saving it to an external hard drive and then loading it to a new one (does the iPad have a port to plug an external hard drive into?)

First, you would need to make a backup of the entire iTunes folder on the PC. You could get music to the iPad if the PC was still functioning, or you would have to move the music to another computer. An iPad is not a laptop, and does not have a port to plug an external drive into. You can sync music to the iPad from the computer, but you are correct, unless you get iTunes Match, you would need a computer to copy the music to and then sync to an iPad.

  • Is there a way to move music from my Iphone 3gs to the Itunes on my computer without deleting it?

Is there a way to move music from my Iphoe 3GS to the Itunes on my Windows 7 laptop? The hard drive of the laptop had been corrupted so it was replaced which makes the computer now register as being a new one alltogether.

If you still have the old drive you (or a helpful friend) may be able put it in an external drive bay and extract your iTunes library and other personal data from it. Otherwise see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

  • Is there any way to retrieve photos that were put in the trash can and then it was emptied?  Or is there a way to move photos from an imovie to iphoto?

Is there any way to retrieve photos that were put in the trash can and then it was emptied?  Or is there a way to move photos from an imovie to iphoto?

If you've emptied the trash, ehtn no. However if you have a backup, like Time Machine, or a recent backup copy of your photo library you could recover the photos from the trash.
The answer to getting a snapshot form iMovie depends on what version you have.
I should add it technically may be possible to recover the emptied trash, but if you really want to do that you would need to download a utility software that can attempt to recover deleted files. Do it soon before you start writing more data to that disk. At the moment I don't have a recommendation for such a program. Maybe someone else out there will offer suggestion.

  • My laptop was stolen and i have a new one, is there any way to move all the picture folders to the new computer and not lose them?

My laptop was stolen and i have a new one, is there any way to move all the picture folders to the new computer and not lose them? They stole my external harddrive too so unfortunately if i lose these, i have no way to get them back?

What randers4 said. HOWEVER, if the photos were taken with a higher resolution camera than the iPhone what you recover will not be as high a resolution as the originals.

  • New Computer, is there any way to import songs from an ipod to a computer?

My computer doesn't have the songs from my old computer so I was wondering if there was a way to import songs from an iPod to a computer, because if I update my iPod now, all of my songs will be lost.

Enable your iPod for disk use.
