2 issues: incomplete photo restoration, glitches when taking screenshots on my Mini

Two isxues: a recent ios download forced me to restore my Mini to factory settings & restore from wi-fI back--up. That was arbout 2 months ago & it says that tons of pics are 'loading' still? How can I fully restore it?!
Secondly: when I attempt to download Safari images by 'hand' or screenshot on the Mini, it randomly won't save the shot 3-4 tries or Safari will crash & then get sluggy. it's highly unreliable suddenly.. I can't always just select & import magss, so this is becoming an issue. Why? How can I fix it? I'm up-to date on everything,, it just is becoming hit or miss. IDK if any given app or action will work now or later, or if it'll force a 3-5 minute freeze as it thinks about it? Truly, nothing is reliable /stable as of mid 2014, or close to. My iPad's & iPhones were
flawless & amazing for years...mow it's a drama starter on a weekly basis. I'm sorry to lash out, but we have been faithful since, literally, iPhone & iPade, plus iTouch nmber 1! But, it seems as if that doesn't matter, they are released so vlosely now, amy device over a year old is all but obsolete. But our entire everythjng
is on it. so we hit Walmart for the new, more stable, awesome replacement, which never is! ? I don't get this, I know you want to make money, but is that makif forcing quality & standard levels take the backseat?

I have a copy of what I did if that's what you mean. And it's funny because it happened again. I was just randomly messaging someone and a picture popped up with the Aa key and the color slide on the right edge . Normally if I hit the pictures my pictures come up small on the bottom of Messenger and then I can send them or do other things. But when it happened yesterday I don't know if I hit a combination of keys or how I did it but I did but a large picture came up that I took of Facebook (both times were pics of f/b) and instead of the normal Airdrop, then Facebook, Messenger, Mail, Twitter and the More button and under that the copy, slideshow, print, etc. I get the Aa and the color thing. Can someone be hacking me. Can it be an error.

From What I've found.. it seems 3ivx or Perian could cause this problem. A friend had this issue and deleted 3ivx and it fixed his crashes. Alternatively, some folks are reporting that turning off 32-bit mode (Get Info) for Photobooth has also fixed, although this was already turned off in my friend's case.

Add timestamp to filename when taking screenshots

I take a lot of screenshots because I deal with DEV, QA, BAs, etc. as a PM. I would like to change the default location, naming mask, and format for screenshots that I take on OS X. E.g. when using Command + Shift + 4 + Space, the resulting image is automatically dumped on the Desktop with the filename "Picture n+1" where n = the highest number that already exists on the Desktop. (If you have Picture 1, Picture 2, etc. up to 8, the new file is named Picture 9) The format is always PNG.
Instead, I would like the files stored in my Pictures directory with file names similar to "Picture MMDDYY HHmmSS" and as JPG files.
Any thoughts on how to quickly and easily do this? I can't seem to find any simple configuration changes anywhere; e.g. maybe in a config file somewhere?

There are some ways to change format and default location through terminal, if you google (I don't know nothing 'bout using no command line ...). There's also a nice tool called Deeper (check versiontracker or macupdate) that puts a GUI wrapper on that and a mess of other tweakable OS X features.
I am not positive there's an easy way to do the naming. That may be something scriptable, though, or something Automator can do.

Thank you very much for your reply gdgmacguy :) I did all you suggested apart from restore as new device . Didn't know I could do that . After restore I did restore from back up only, as I didn't want to end up without contacts details on my phone. If I restore as new device how do I get my all contacts? Still will have to use back up? Sorry if it sounds like I don't know what i am doing, i just have no one to ask who would know. Thank you

It sounds like your flash has stopped working on your phone and you noticed a decrease in image quality.
I recommend a few troubleshooting steps here. Start with closing the running apps on the phone:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the phone and test it again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If the issue persists, I would next backup your device to iTunes, and restore it:

Pink spot in center of screen when taking photos with iphone 3G camera

I've been having a problem with my phone recently. When trying to take pictures using the camera software (or other photo apps) i have a pink spot in the middle of the screen. I've searched and seen other on other sites other cameras have the same issue and has been advised as being a problem with software.
I've restored the iphone to factory and still have the problem. Updated to the latest firmware and done pretty much everything i can think of to resolve the issue. So basically wondering if other people have had this issue and if there's any possible fix for this?

If issuer persist after restore as new iPhone then it indicates a hardware issue and next step would be processing hardware repair through the channels provided to you in your country.

I have a white haze over photos when taking a picture with my flash

I have a white haze over photos when taking a picture with my flash. What can I do to fix it?

After the ios7 update, my wife's phone began having these same issues and we assumed it was a flaw with the update.
But after some trial and error, we concluded it was the illumination of the white plastic backing of the iPhone 4. We tried a different protective case, we blackened the apeture of the black case with a black sharpie, none of those things worked.
It was noted that the white and blurry photos only occurred with a case installed. Without a case, the photos were perfect. It is a *** issue.
Since we were using a case and appearance was not that big of an issue, I decided to apply a strip of black electrical tape with holes punched out for the camera and flash mechanisms and reapplied the protective case. This tacky fix solved 95% of the white blurry look to the flash photos.
So a work-around is to apply a non-transparent piece of tape, or sticker with appropiate sized holes for the camera lens and flash LED on the back of the white plastic phone case. It's tacky, it's a poor design from apple, but it works.

Bug Report - WebOS 1.3.1 - Photos - Deletes old photos when taking new ones

Hello. I just noticed that when taking new pictures with me Pre (on WebOS 1.3.1), the numbering has reset, starting at CIMG0001 and when I take new pics, the old pics designated as CIMG0001, CIMG0002, CIMG003, etc. are being deleted and replaced with these new pics. I currently have 164 pics in my photo roll and notice that when I take a new picture, the number of pics stays at 164 (instead of adding a new pic and making the new total 164). I just noticed this bug yesterday, but I upgraded to WebOS1.3.1 last weekend. I read another posting at everythingpre.com with possibly the same issue:

I just joined looking for someone with my same issue... Once I hit 30 photos, it starts randomly deleting my old pics... I just got the phone a week ago and updated it to the new firmware right away, so I donno if it's firmware related or what, but is there a fix?

I'm afraid you're out of luck. If it says incomplete you won't be able to access the backup.

I think that this is a philosophical question. I, for one, hold my iPad in landscape mode with the Home button on the right-hand side and in portrait mode the Home button is on the bottom.

Events are organisation for those who can't really be bothered. They are automatic - based entirely on Date and Time the camera records the photos as taken.
You can move photos between Events, you can Merge Events, you can Rename them and sort them in various ways except one: You cannot manually sort in an Event as Events are all automated.
If you want to manually sort in an Event then you've outgrown Events as an organising tool. Now it's time to look at albums (Where you can manually sort) which are much more flexible than Events as an organising tool.
