2 levels of STO b/w 3 plants

Dear consultants,
My client has 3 plants (0001 as Sales Plant, 0002 as distribution center, 0003 as production plant)
And we need to implement the following scenario:
1) In sales plant will create sales orders and run MRP to create purchase requisition and convert to STOs to be supplied from distribution center plant
2) Distribution center plant will receive STOs coming from sales plant and run MRP to create PR then convert it to STOs to be supplied from production plant.
**Do you think this scenario is applicable through using special procurement type as the following?
1- In sales plant (material master) assign (special procurement type = supply from alternative plant which is distribution center)
2- In distribution center plant (material master) assign (special procurement type = supply from alternative plant which is production plant)

Hi
Greetings !
The process suggested by you will meet the requirement with the special procurement key.
You should also have source list maintained for the material- plant with the supplying plant assigned , made Relevant for MRP to create PR.
In order to enabling shipping from the supplying plants, ensure the supplying plants are created as customer and shipping conditions are maintained.

  • Availablity check at storage location level in STO

    Hi,
There is an unique requirement from my client with respect to the Availability check at storage location level in STO
    Process:
Based  on the inputs from APO we are creating STR for moving the material from one plant to another plant. These STR’s will be converted into STO through ME59N batch job. During STO creation process system will do the availability check and only if stock is available in the issuing plant then only STO will be generated.
During this availability check the stock will be considered at plant level and not at storage location level.
    Requirement/Scenario:
Issuing plant contains two storage location ( location A & B).FG stock exists in both the locations.
Our requirement is system should create separate line items in the STO based on the availability of the stock in the respective storage locations.
    Example
Total required qty: 1000  of material X
    material X - Stock in Storage location A  : 600
    material X - Stock in Storage location B : 400
Two separate line item needs to be created in the STO
    Sl no
    Material
    qty
    Issuing storage location
    1
    X
    600
    A
    2
    X
    400
    B
Is there any function module available for doing Availability check at storage location level so that it can be called in ME59N with the enhancement.
Please suggest how to achieve this. If any enhancements needs to be done we will do it.
    Thanks & regards,
    Prashanth

    Hi Nilesh,
in SAP standard the system is always checking on plant level first and then on the storage location level, there is no possibility to change this behaviour.
I'm also not sure if the process is correct, because if you have also requirements on plant level only then you would create negative ATP if you confirm on storage location level even though there is no ATP on plant level.
I'm also not aware of a user-exit that would suite your requirement, additionally according to the IMG documentation the user-exits in the availability check area should only be carried out in agreement with SAP.

  • How to get the stock of STO Report with suppling Plant/receiving Plant/open

How to get the stock of STO Report with suppling Plant/receiving Plant/open/close qty.

MB5T gives you Details of STO which have stok in transit.
ME2W gives you supplying plant wise STO details.  Also in ME2W , in the ALV report output, if you select  the "delivery Schedule line" icon , you will get details such as , STO qty, Issued qty , undelivered qty etc.

  • Sto excise invoice for plant

    Hi
I am creating sto between plant for a company code
I  create a po for stowith doc type  UB maintain all setting as invoicing tab in not coming in po ( i think its sap stanterd)
where i will maintain excise value for that sto material and how I should proceed for same
i want pass excise value from this plant 1 to plant 2
    please guide
    Regards
    Kailas Ugale

    Hi,
You can do STO between plants within a Company code via MM/SD route or directly through MM.
If you want to do it through MM/SD route, your process will be as mentioned below
Create STO Order in receiving Plant with doc.type UB
Create Outbound Delivery NL with ref to the STO using VL04/VL10B/VL10D transaction
Perform Picking & PGI for outbound delivery using VL02N
Create a Proforma Invoice - JEX using VF01
Create Excise invoice using J1IIN with ref. Proforma Invoice
Now incase of STO through MM Route directly you have to follow the below mentioned steps
Create STO Order in receiving Plant with doc.type UB
Do a transfer Posting against STO document with 351 mov. using MB1B transaction
Create an outgoing excise invoice using J1IS transaction with ref to the 351 material document
    Hope its clear.
Feel free to revert if you have any queries
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Need suggestions for Sales Order ATP for Material STO in from other Plant

Our client does not want to stock inventory at either the DC or the Manufacturing Plant.  They receive a Sales Order at the DC and the ATP check is set up to check Stock at the DC (likely none); inbound Stock Transport Orders (likely none) and then resort to the Replenishment Lead time.
The Replenishment Lead time for externally procured materials (F) with Special Procurement key (STO it in from the manufacturing plant) is the Planned Delivery Time in the Material Master.  The problem is the Planned Delivery time is just the 5 days it takes to get the stock from the manufacturing plant to the DC.  If the Manufacturing plant has no inventory (which is very likely since we don't maintain PIRs to stock it prior) we will promise the customer delivery in 5 days which is much too soon.
We cannot inflate the Planned Delivery time to be the 5 days of transit plus the 30 days of total procurement and manufacturing time at the manufacturing plant because then the MRP signal will tell the manufacturing plant to buy and make much too soon.
They don't want to ship goods directly from the manufacturing plant; they must be shipped from the DC.
I realize that this is not a good business process but is there a solution for this?

    Ann,
This is a common practice, and I don't think that the business process is unreasonable.
    1.  Remove the special procurement key from the RWHS Material Master
    2.  Change Material Master in the RWHS to X procurement.
    3.  Set your RWHS Material Master 'Total Replenishment Lead time'
Next step assumes that the company codes are the same between RWHS and Manufacturing Plant.
    4.  Create Purchase Info Record for the RWHS material, that points to the vendor of the Manufacturing plant
    5.  Create quota arrangement in which 100 percent of the quota comes from the Manufacturing Plant Purchase Info Record, and is MRP relevant
    6.  Insert a step after the RWHS MRP run where the Planned orders are immediately converted to Purchase requisitions.
    Business process:
    a.  Sales order is entered.  ATP checks RWHS stock and excess inbound.
    b.  If inadequate supply, then ATP confirms to Total Replenishment Lead time (and not planned delivery time).
    c.  MRP runs; creates a planned order for the shortage.
    d.  New step in MRP job converts the Planned order to a Purchase req.  Purchase req is sourced via the quota arrangement
    e.  Purchase Req requirement (Manufacturing plant) is offset by the Planned delivery time to accommodate transit duration.
    f.  Purchase req demand now places a requirement on the Manufacturing plant, with dates and quantities that will support the Sales order in the RWHS.
    g.  Convert the Purchase Req to a STO once the stock appears in the Manufacturing Plant.

  • Unable to find conditions in item level of STO PO

    Hi All ,
The user raised Stock transfer PO(UB) between plant Xand Y in same company code  , doc type UB
assigned to pricing schema XYZ.. in customizing . However conditions and pricing procedure are not picking in PO item .
    Please help us.
    Regards,
    Amar

    Hi,
Please check the settings in 'Define Condition control at plant level' in the path IMG-MM-Purchasing-Conditions.
Here, if you have maintained '+' against your plant then it is mandatory to create Inforecords specific to the plant....which you may not have created in your case as it is transfer within the same plant.
This may be the reason why the conditions are not getting reflected......just see if you can blank that field in the above setting and test the PO creation.
I hope the other configs (in particular the 'Determination of calculation schema in purchasing') are all properly done and defined.

  • Report for STO sale in receiving plants

    Hi All,
Our client has as many as 20 plants. One of these plants (lets say Plant 001) has got some tax benefits on sale of its manufactured goods.
Most of the other 19 plants are manufacturing and selling plants. Some of these plants receive materials from plant 001 through STO and sell them along with their own manufactured goods.
Now, the issue is, we need to generate a plantwise report to seggragate the sale of other 19 plants as given below.
Sale of goods received thru STO from plant 001
Sale of goods other than the goods received thru STO from plant 001
We need to caputre other details also. viz, sales tax, excise duty etc for the amount of sale done for a particular period.
Can anybody give some inputs on the logic and the tables to be looked into. . . ??
Since this is a new requirement come up to us, any sort of help will sure be of immense help to us. . . .

  • Stock tranfer b/w sto loc with in plant

how to do stock tranfer b/w sto loc with in plant

    Hi
as mentioned by Rama Krishna, STO process can be mapped for storage location to storage location transfer. This feature is available from 4.7 (I think service pack 200 or something).
    You have to do configuration
Check in SPRO - MM - Purchasing - Purchase order - Set up STO - Set up STO between S loc.
The remiaing process is like normal STPO.

  • Plant to Plant STO with excise invoice and taxes in one company code

    Hi,
I have a new business requirement, we want to create only one company code and 12 plants in different states,  each plant will have separate purchasing and sales activity this is ok this can be done with separate excise and series group as ther will not be any issue for purchsing and saling of materisl with exice in each plant , but how we can transfer the material plant to plant  if the plant is in different states we want that the material should be transfer from palnt to plant  with excise invoice only,  as we have the company code common,  how to create the billing document for this, and how to pass the duty from the saling plant and capture the same in the recieving plant. with proper tax entry. Can we do the STO with biiling if the two plants are in single compnay code.
    regards,

    hi,
I am trying to create a Stock Transport Order (STO) with document type UB and item category U. My objective is to transfer material from Plant (supplying plant) 100 to Plant (receiving plant) 1100 within one company code (1000) with STO.
For this purpose I created a raw material 1434 in plant 1000 with sales org 1 view and in that view entered in delivering plant field 1000 as delivery plant. After that I extended material 1434 to plant 1100 without changing anything what I did while creating the material first in Plant 1000 except in organizational level I entered 1100 in the plant field. I entered Sales org 1000 and distribution channel 10 in organization level for both plant while creating and extending the material. In me21n I chose Stock Transport Order with document type UB and item category as U also receiving Plant as 1100. With this when I tried to save the STO the message, I am getting an error,  Cannot determine shipping data for the material 1434?
I am doing solely mm function why I need to create Customer master? In this case plant 1100 is the customer right?
    Solution:
    1. Mat.(1434) should be maintained in both the plants. (1000&1100).
    2. Should have enough stock in supplying plant(1000).
    3. Make its supplying plant as a vendor in vendor master record in receiving plant(1100).
    4. Make it receiving plant as a customer in customization.
Create customer (xd01) & and define the shipping data for plants in both the plants.
        Path: spro u2013 img u2013 m.mgmt u2013 purchasing u2013 po u2013 set up STO u2013 define shipping data (1 by1 )
In Receiving plant (1100)                         In Supplying plant (1000)
Customer num.  123345 (for ex.)              Customer num.  -
    (don't fill)
        Sales org.yyy
        Dist. Channel
        Sales div.  y
    5. Assign doc. Type is "NL" for intra company STO. If  STO is inter company, Assign doc. Type is "NLCC".
        Position doc type is "UB"
Enter supplying plant(1000) & doc type (NL) & checking rule (ex:01)
    6. Assign doc. Type is "UB" to u'r plants.(PO)
        Go for new entries
Enter supplying plant(1000) & Receiving plant (1100) & doc type (UB).
    7. Create a PO, choose the doc type is `UB' & item cat.'U', Enter supplying plant as a vendor in PO  of the receiving plant(1100).
    8. Provide this num (PO) to SD people, they will do the delivery by using transactional code is VL10B.
    9. Sales people they will provide "out bound delivery num".
    10. Do the GR. In GR the second tab 05 out bound delivery instead of PO mov.type 101.
    11. See the stock over view in the receiving & supplying plants.
    thanking you

  • STO generated by MRP to other plant

    Dear all,
I need to to generate STO for other plant for RAW matl requirement. and MRP should generate it.
so please reply me if anybody know how to maintain data in the system that it will generate STO for other specific plant only
    Regards,
    Vimlesh

    Hi
Did you maintain the special procurement keys which you intend for the Default plant in the Master data new entries table? There wil be 10 keys , instead of going by new entries(sometines this does not work because of our entry mistake), you can copy and assign your plant for all the keys, by this way  you wil make available all the special Proc.keys for your plant, as you might want to change later the key due to some reason or other based upon the requirement.
Second, maintain procurement type F/X  and the Spl procurement type 40  in the MRP2 view of the materials, it is expected that you are also filling in other details as required in other MRP views also.
You can not directly generate STO from MRP run, have a look In MD04 for the materials which are subject to ext procurement. You can check each level of the material by entering material no. in the requirement table in MD04 and view the PRs whether  they are generated or not.
Either you can go by ME59 or simply you can directly proceed from the MD04 screen by doubel clicking the PR and converting it into a PO by adopting it in PO level, If we have any customised PO document type that can be used here instead if the standard NB type also.

    Sam
