2 lines on family plan now, if we add a third, can we remove one of the other two?

My husband and I have a 2 line family share plan with standard phones (sharing 700 mins/month w/ unlimited text).  I'm eligible for an upgrade now (primary line), and he has to wait until June.  Our contracts both expire in October.  We both want to upgrade to a plan that includes data, and probably both get the droid 2, which are buy one get one free right now.  However, they won't allow us to upgrade his phone yet, and so I can't use the bogo offer. 
It seems there's also a "smartphones talk free" promotion right now too.  So to add a third line with a smartphone we'd only pay for the data plan, not the $9.99 for the extra line.  So I guess I'm looking for the loophole :-)  Would we only be paying for our two data packages, and for one of the extra lines?
If we add a third line, can we then take advantage of the bogo offer with my early upgrade and the new line?  Ideally my husband would just use the new line, and let his old phone sit until October, and then we'd go back to only having 2 lines on our plan.  Would we be able to cancel his current line in October, or would adding the 3rd line extend the contracts of all three lines on our plan?
Also could we transfer his current "line 2" number to the new "line 3" phone?

You'd have to have 3 data packages, one to keep the promo, and then one on the lines with the smartphones active.  Contracts and promotions are tied to the phone number, so you can't switch the number or contract end date between lines.  If your husband wants to keep his number, the best thing to do will be to wait until he is eligible for an upgrade.
If there is not a smartphone on line 2, but just a standard phone as was stated by the OP, you do not have to have a data plan on this line. To qualify for the smartphones talk free promotion, you do not have to have a data plan on all lines, just the lines you sign up with the offer for, i.e. just the primary line that is upgrading to the smartphone and the additional line that you are adding so that you can take advantage of the offer.
If you do want to take advantage of the smartphone talk free offer, though, you will have to leave the smartphone on the line you sign up with. If you move the phone to your 2nd line, I believe that the discount will be stopped.

    If you install on a third computer, it will request you to de-activate on the other two computers. You can then reactivate one of the previous two computers, and use Creative Cloud apps on it.

    First go to your Preferences for Photoshop Elements 9. In Windows go up to the Edit menu and choose Preferences. On a Mac go up to the Photoshop Elements menu and choose Preferences.
    From Preferences choose General…. Look for where it says Allow Floating Documents in Full Edit Mode and check the box in front of it if it's not already checked. Click OK.
    Now go up to the Window menu and choose Images>Float All in Windows.
    That should show all your open photos as separate windows.

    Ok finally I found a place where I can actually submit a bug report and ask for help. Honestly, this web site is the pitz for user friendliness! Firefox 4.0 is causing my Incredimail client program to NOT work. As soon as I degraded back to 3.6.15 then Incredimail worked just fine again, but will not work if I have installed 4.0. That seems to be the only problem I have found.

    I'm relieved to know that I am not the only one who has experienced this problem. But why is Mozilla/Firefox developers or troubleshooters not posting any comments on this like perhaps . . . "We are aware of this problem and are working on a fix."
    I have not received any communication from them on this forum or on twitter or anywhere else. Anyway I really love FF4.0 and really would like to use both programs together, As it is I have had to go back to 3.6.16 in order to use Incredimail. Firefox/Mozilla, please respond in some form to this request.

    There has to be a faster way to add multiple images, one after the other, in a web page rather than just dragging each from the Files tab w/in DW 5.5
    I was a little surprized I couldn't select multiple images and just drag a block and have DW just insert an img tag with empty alts and the source path but maybe there is some options I just haven't found?
    I tried using Bridge to generate a quick html slideshow/gallery but it creates skads of divs and such... I just have to update an older site and was looking for an efficient way to add a bunch of images (random names ugh so just copying-pasting one and changing names is still more manual) that lie next to each other, no breaks inbetween....seems an ideal automated situation.
    I'd settle for an external script or app or something because they come in blocks of 25 approx and I have all my actions in PS set up to size appropriately which is nice so I just wondered if there was something good for this low-level production task.

    Thanks. Yes, I started writing a script but I just wondered if there were hidden gems in DW....so many programs do more than they are intended to do nowadays, I had to ask people who use it more!
    Actually, the fastest was to just dupe one line of code, paste x amount and then just use the pick-wip to point and drag. That at least cut the menu out of the equation.
    I thought I remembered doing a batch insert years ago..maybe in GoLive or before Adobe had DW? DW and GoLive are the only GUI html editors I've ever used..but, may it was just something out of an ealier photoshop...they've taken good stuff out and put good stuff in so many times that I can only remember so much!

    Pages documents are organized in sections. When you click on the thumbnail for a page, the section containing that page is selected. The Delete command applies to the selection, so if you press delete at this point, the selected section is deleted.
    You can separate a section into two or more sections by inserting a section break at the end of the page before the page you want ot be the first in the new section, then inseritng a second section break where you want the second section to end. Click on the thumbnail for any page in the new section, thenpress delete and the new section will be deleted.
    If desired, you can then reconnect the two remaining sections into one by deleting the section break between them.
    An alternate is to select any floating objects on the pages you want to delete, then press delete. After that, select the text on the pages you want to delete, then press delete.
    If all objects on these pages (and al objects on pages following these pages) have been placed as Inline objects, this deletion may be done in a single step. Floating objects placed below the deleted material will maintain their position relative to the top left corner of the first page of the section,m and will not be in the same place within the text as they were before the deletion.

    If your jpegs are inserted as inline objects, each will be treated as a single, large character in the text. You will see the same space left and right of the object as you would create by increasing the height of one character in the line of text to the same size as the height of the jpeg image.
    If they are inserted as floating objects, then depending on the Wrap settings, they may force text out of the space to the left, right, or both sdes of the object, as well as forcing a small gap above and below the object. If the scan includes excess white space around the graphic, this white space will be included as part of the object

    My Mac mini server has suddenly stopped seeing one or the other bluetooth devices, either the wireless keyboard or the mouse( both apple products) have tried new batteries, at first it was the mouse that stopped responding, but upon rebooting the computer now the keyboard will not respond and the mouse works. Both work fine on an older Mac mini that I hooked back up to check.

    There is absolutely no reason why they should not bothe be able to connect to your WiFi network. The easiest place to start would be to reboot your router. Unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in again. I would also restart both the iPad and the iPhone.

    IPad mini unless branded for Verizon use will not be accepted for prepaid use. Apple will tell you that the mini is compatable with all carriers, you simply walk into the carrier of choice and ask for a nano Sim.
    You pop it in, you turn on cellular if not already on and follow the screen prompts to get you up and running. Its quite easy.
    I found my wife's mini only functions on Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T who I set up service with.
    Verizon blocks the activation due to the emeid of the device. Apple says it is fully operable on Verizon but they don't let you activate unless its purchased from them or from Apple to use on their system.
