2 Modems on the same ADSL line?

I have a NetComm NB5Plus4W ADSL2+ modem router through which I can connect wirelessly to my iMac, MacBook and iPhone. There also another iMac at the other side of the house which rarely gets enough signal strength to connect to the internet. And due to our building type it is not realistic to establish a wired connection.
My question is this - Is it possible to connect 2 separate modems to the same phone line to piggyback the ADSL, or do I need to use a wifi range extender? Any recommendations ...

You could look into the line of products that use the electrical wiring to create a wired network. It's a UK site but it'll give you an idea of the products possibly available to you. Here is the link.

  • 102 combines all the GR qty for the same part # line item in the PO

I had a question on the behavior of movement 102 in SAP
In earlier versions, SAP combines all the GR qty for the same part # line item in the PO both in MIGO & in MB01.
Is a change in functionality in ECC which combines all the qty or is there any config that we are missing?

    Hi,
Check your PO item details....is there GR based IV active in your current PO? I know, it should have effect on LIV only but, still trying to see a possibility if it has any impact on GR reversals too....

  • Using an Internal 3G Modem along with an external 4G USB MOdem on the same computer

I have a Sony Viao running Windows 7 Professional. I have an internal Broadband card on the machine and an external 4G Modem. My old computer did not have an internal modem, and I was able to use both a 3G external modem and the 4G modem on the same computer. Depending on the area I was in, I would just plug in the proper modem, VZAccess MGR would ask if I want to configure to this modem, I would say "Yes" and I was on my way.
With this new computer, and it's internal card, plugging in the 4G modem does not cause the computer to ask me to reconfigure. In addition, since the 3G modem is internal, I would not be able to "plug in" the 3G when I am done using the external 4G modem. I am afraid I would lose the internal card's "set up" if I force it to work.
Is there a way to get the computer to operate both of these cards without causing issues?
Thank you in advance for your help!

I am sending you a private message to request additional information so we may troubleshoot your issue in further detail.
    Thank you

  • How do I add mult emails in the same To: line field?

Hello, I'm running Thunderbird 31.5.0. I was previously able to send multiple emails in a single To: line field, but now the text turns red and it won't allow me to add contacts from my address book after the 1st contact was added. I figured out after one address is added, you need to press enter key and it creates a second To: field row below the 1st one. This new change isn't ideal and quite cumbersome. How can I go back to the original settings where I can continue to add mult emails in a single line? Thanks!

Red is just a stupid color who ever choose that should think again.
You can add more on the same line with a comma (, ) between each address.
If one entry in address-book has more than one address then you can put all in, they will be comma-separated.
Warning don't put 2 commas after each other.
"MoreFunctionsForAddressBook" can help you with "one entry-many addresses"

  • I am moving and she has a tc and I do can I hook mine up to the same cable line

I am moving into my friends apt and she has a TC hooked up her cable but I have one too that I want to use and tore my info on. Can it be done that two tc share one cable line?

You can connect your TC to your friend's TC using an Ethernet cable and share the same Internet connection from the cable service.
Do you plan to configure your TC to provide another wireless network for your use only?
Or, do you plan to use your TC for backups only and use the existing wireless network at the apartment?

  • Is it possible for me to put my Norton toolbar on the same display line as the Firefox Bookmarks toolbar?

I would like to recover one line of my display area. My Firefox Bookmarks Toolbar and my Norton Toolbar are both short enough to fit on one line. I'd like to combine them.

Thanks for your response. I'm sorry to be so dense... but all I see in the referenced "how to" section is how to add function icons to the navigation bar. I don't see how to move an existing toolbar onto the same line as the existing Firefox Bookmarks toolbar. Can you please elaborate?
    Thank you.

  • On board program does not run the motor to new positions yet commands to state of digital I/O in the same program line.

I am controlling a stepper motor position via a PIC-7342 board. This part of the program has worked in the past. I have another program that does almost the same thing and it works as always.
The program sets the speed and accelerations, then sets a position and tell the motor to run to the position. Then it sets a communication bit through the MCS register. Then it sets a new position and command the motor to run to the new position. It then delays a short time and commands an output to turn on. Then it sets a new position and commands the motor to run to the new position. After each command to run there is a wait for motion complete.  The code used to work correctly.  Now the motor runs to the first position and proceeds no further.  The finial position is sometimes a couple of steps past the setpoint, which is very unusual. The digital output is fired like the second position has been reached, even though the motor has not moved to the position. The actual path for the motor is clear, so there is not mechanical reason for the problem.  How would you troubleshoot an on board program?

    ITElearner,
What has changed since you last ran your system?  Can you move the motor in Measurement & automation explorer?  Are you getting any errors?  Is this program written in LabVIEW?  You may also find the following useful:

    Hi PP Gurus,
I am having a scenario in process industry as below. The process line is used for producing different grades of chemicals.
When they change from one grade to another, the mateial from the pipe line is considered as a semifinished product. it is salable. How do we handle this on both Production and costing point of view.

  • How to vertically align Prompts on the same line in OBIEE

Can we vertically align "Product Line (Owned)" and "Product Line(Not Owned)" in this Prompt on same vertical line?
so that "Product Line(Owned)" can start from the same vertical line where "Product Line(Not Owned)" starts
we tried few options by adding a text element in dashboard and playing with td.GFPFilter
but couldn't find a solution to it.
we were looking into this thread
    Dashboard Prompt Alignment
Currently we have it like this, alignment is not same due to "Not Owned" text being longer than "Owned" text
"Product Pillar (Owned)"--------------"Product Line (Owned)"---------------------"Product (Owned)"
"Product Pillar (Not Owned)"--------------"Product Line (Not Owned)"---------------"Product (Not Owned)"
we want to have it like this,
"Product Pillar (Owned)"--------------"Product Line (Owned)"-------------"Product (Owned)"
"Product Pillar (Not Owned)"---------"Product Line (Not Owned)"--------"Product (Not Owned)"

    Hi Rupak,
I just tried it and it the solution is pretty easy. Just add a text-box to your dashboard holding the following:
<style>td.GFPFilter {width: 200px}</style>You need to check "Contains HTML markup"

  • Filling line capacities for different products for the same line

    Hi,
I have a filling  Line PL1.  Capacity is 24 hours. On this we can process products A and B.I have defined rate routing and assigned to the production versions in the respective Material master. Now my requirement,
If the product A is processed on PL1,maxmum run length is for 24 hours and the machine must be stopped for cleaning after this time for 2 hours. If the product B is processed on PL1,maximum run length is for 36 hours and the machine must be stopped for cleaning after this time for 4 hours.A and B can be planned on the same filling line back to back without a major change over and the filling line can be used continuously for 36 hours. But B and A cannot be planned on the same filling line back to back without a major change over  and change over is required.
How do we map in the routing and where we maintain the conditions of 24 hous max run lentgth if product is A and 36 hours max run length if product is B....
    Thanks
    Hemanth

    Hi Suresh,
Thanks for your quick reply. In my  rate routing i maintain base qty 1000L and production time 1 hour tear down 2 hour for filling line FL1 with capacity 24 hours for Product A and maintain base qty 500L and production time 1 hour tear down 4 hour for filling line FL1 with capacity 24 hours for Product B.
    Is it correct?
But where we are giving max length of run as 24 hours if  product  is A and Max lenght of run 36 hours if  product is B...
    Thanks in Advance

  • Taking over a line - Will I get the same problems?

I moved into new premises last Friday. I knew the previous occupant and I had already ordered my new BT line with infinity prior to my chat with him about HIS connection.
He told me he upgraded to Infinity 2 and was quoted 65D and 15U but had never got more than 40D and 10U. He had an engineer out and was told thats the max the line could handle, and until he moved out was stuck with a max profile of 43.3D and 20U.
Anyway I explained this situation to the sales rep when I ordered my new line and broadband and was assured this would NOT be the case in my situation. I was told that athough they could not give me specifics (aparently they are not allowed), but my line was coming out of a different "part" of the cabinet.
I explained to the rep that I understand what he was saying but the previous tennant had been told by openreach that they were getting 80MB at the cabinet and the speed was reducing between the cabinet and the premises, and the new line they are installing was just a "take over" and not a new physucal line so therefore I am worried I might inherit the same issue.
The sales rep told me this would definately not be the case and they get lots of calls like mine and its quite normal to expect things to be the same when you take over the line but this isnt how it works.
So my question, is, does it sound like im being fobbed off or, is there really a chance that suddenly the line might be better if its coming out of a different part of the cabinet even though its the same physical line and the original connection was getting 80MB at the cab end.
I was also promised that if i DIDNT get the expected speeds that BT would install a completely new physical line, which would be nice for customer options to listen into if things go pearshaped. I was also told that If i didnt get the estimates speed then I would only be charged for infinity 40/10??
How much of this is waffle?
    CK

    Infinity installed...
Same issues!!! Going to cancel and move to Sky's up to 40MB package for half the price. Being given the guff about waiting 10 days though.

  • Strange issue - unable to establish PPP with Cisco 887 VAG router on one particular ADSL line

I have a strange problem that I’m struggling to get to the bottom of with my ISP and wondered if anyone could help.
We have a site with an older Cisco 877 ADSL router which was working happily until a few weeks ago when the connection dropped suddenly (out-of-hours at 2am if that’s of any significance – made me think most likely something carrier/ISP related?)    When connectivity was lost, the router could sync with the BT exchange (we are in the UK) but could not establish PPP.
We logged fault with our ISP – after some to’ing and fro’ing, they passed it onto BT and their engineers visited site, they fixed “a line fault” (we don’t get much detail on what was actually fixed) but we still could not establish connectivity – same thing, solid CD light but no PPP.
So, we replaced the router with another 877 – same again, solid CD but no PPP.  We replaced all the cables and microfilter etc but no difference.
We tried a different Cisco router (a newer Cisco 887VAG) which, as I understand, uses a different modem chipset but no matter – PPP could still not be established.  We tested this router on another ADSL line with the same ISP and it worked without issue, using the same ADSL account details, it was able to establish connectivity.  So we figured this must still be a BT/ISP issue.
Since then we’ve had BT out again twice but they say there is no fault.  The ISP say there is no issue with them.  But we still cannot establish ADSL connectivity on this line, despite having tried 3 different ADSL routers and despite the fact the routers work with the same account details on another ADSL line.
The 887VAG router we have currently connected has 3G backup so that is keeping us going in the meantime and also means I can login to the router remotely to check on the ADSL status.
But I’m struggling to pinpoint where the problem may lie.   Strangely, if I turn on PPP negotiation and authentication debug then I’m not actually seeing any output from it at all?

Does anyone have any ideas on where the problem may be and what more I can do to troubleshoot and provide the relevant evidence to our ISP (assuming it is an ISP/BT issue though the fact the same router works ok with the exact same details etc would seem to indicate it must be their issue!)
