2 Mountain Lion Servers: unable to create an OD replic as Mac OS X Versions are not compatible
Hi folks,
with tow Mountain Lion Servers -1 upgraded from Snow Leopard Server, 1 Upgrades from Lion Server- I cannot create the Open Directory replic to bind it to the master Open Directory. Both mac mini's are 10.8.2 with Server 2.2 (166).
I created a completely new Open Directory on Server1, when trying to create the replic on Server2 he tells me: "Your server cannot become a replic of "Server1", as the used Mac OS X Versions are not compatible."
Have you any idea, how to make this work?
Kind regards
Conrad
Hi wholestone,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.
Do you have iCloud calendar enabled? If so, this may be why your calendar is not syncing. You would need a copy of the calendar that is saved locally on your Mac and not in iCloud. This KB provides more information as well as a possible resolution. "Synchronization support of BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac" http://bbry.lv/Sm1SeJ
Hope this helps.

Downloading mountain lion damaged my hard disc. I took my Mac Pro to apple store. They are unable to repair it and suggest I purchase a new hard disc for $160. It was a perfectly functioning Mac Pro that got damaged by downloading mountain lion.
Software upgrades do not generally damage hardware; your drive's failure must be co-incidental. On most MBP's, a hard drive is very easily replaced by a user. You might want to check out this site for both hard drives as well as install videos (check which model you have so you can check the correct video):

I just recently upgraded my MBP with an SSD; I purchased an kit with an external enclosure from OWC and cloned the current drive to the new one, installed the new drive and was done in no time. -

Does anyone know how to update OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.1. to 10.8.2. on a late 2012 Mac mini. All I get are 'not compatible' messages even using supplementary updates etc?
It appears that many of the problems with the HDMI are the "monitors" that are being used. Samsung and Vizeo both DO NOT support a computer input on HDMI only VGA. There probably are others, manuals must be read to confirm compatability.
I strongly believe that the reason the 10.8.2 update was pulled is due to the fact (it happened to me) that the new Disk Utility creates a Fusion drive if aftermarket SSDs are added to the system. I think Apple wants this propriatary Fusion Drive to be something you buy from them not a "homebrew" for lots less money. -
Hello,
I have installed mountain lion on my macbook pro ,but it made my mac very slow. Would someone please tell me how to uninstall this one and reinstall snow leopard? I tried to do it by my original CDs but macbook pro didn't let me to do it.
ThanksIt would be easier to just fix whatever is making your machine slow.
I wrote a little diagnostic program to help show what might be causing these problems. Download EtreCheck from http://www.etresoft.com/download/EtreCheck.zip, run it, and paste the results here.
Disclaimer: Although EtreCheck is free, there are other links on my site that could give me some form of compensation, financial or otherwise. -
I purchased Mountain Lion on my MacBook and want it on my mac desktop as well. Can I download the same purchase on my desktopMac? and how do i do that?
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
When you purchase Mountain Lion, you can install it as many times as you want on all your computers for free. To install it on the desktop, open the App Store, go to Purchases tab and download OS X Mountain Lion.
Another option is to redownload it on the MacBook, put the installer onto a USB drive and connect it to the desktop in order to upgrade -
Just installed mountain Lion. Viewing a pdf sent to me using preview and some colors are appearing BLACK, however when I view the same PDF in Acrobat they are perfect and what they are suppose to be. WHY would PREVIEW showing a different color?
Here's what I've found on the issue:
Pantone color definitions have changed (coinciding with CS6) — they are now "Pantone+" (I think that's what they're called). The "+" apparently means they're now LAB colors. Lab colors are not properly displayed in Preview (or in Finder previews) — they display as black (as far as I can tell, in all circumstances). I'm sure it's a tad more complicated than that, but that's the gist.
Now the bad news — nobody seems to know anything about a fix or workaround (unless you convert your PDFs to process — this might be a fix for sending to clients). It causes issues for me in AI files — being able to view them in the finder (with previews) is a HUGE time saver for my workflow... when they're all black, not so much.
In my chat with a director of product dev at Adobe, they placed the responsibility to fix on Apple (assuming Apple wants to support Pantone color definitions in their OS). -
when trying to download Mountain Lion after click on buy I get this message: The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed.

When upgrading from osx 10.7.4 to osx mountain lion I get the following Alert! This update requires OS X version 10.8.
Sounds like you downloaded the 10.8.1 update instead of the Mountain Lion installer from the Mac App Store.
You have to purchase Mountain Lion from the App Store to get to 10.8 -

How do I fix Mountain Lion issue after login where Keychain Access attempts to open, hanging up with "application not responding" message?
You could try booting into Safe Mode to see if that will help. And "Repair Permissions" in Disk Utility.
Have you got Keychain set to open on Login or is it attempting to open on it's own. -
Tried to install Mountain Lion and it comes up with the following message Mac OS X Update Combined can't be installed on this disk. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update. My laptop is using 10.7.3
Go to > Software Update and install updates. Finally, go to App Store, buy Mountain Lion and install. Open > http://www.apple.com/osx/specs/
