2 nanos 1 computer 1 works 1 did, but now does not?

I own two 1GB nano's. One works great, no problems. The other one, when connected through the usb port will not show up in itunes and won't even charge. I thought maybe it was damaged but it plays songs and charges through a belkin fm transmitter. I don't think its the wire or usb port, because my other nano works fine. Also did reset the non-working one, resarted the computer, tried a differt usb port and i was going to restore but it detect that its connected? Can some one help me?

MDT and Macs running Bootcamp – worked in MDT 2010, now does not in MDT 2012

I haven’t been able to find much info on this so I thought I would try here and see if anyone can help.
We’ve been using MDT 2010 for the last couple of years to install Windows 7 on Macintosh’s running Bootcamp and it’s been working fine.
We recently upgraded to MDT 2012 and the same process we used to use for this does not work anymore and I would like to find out how to make it work on 2012.
Here’s how the process works:
First, setup Bootcamp on the Mac. This creates another partition on the Mac for the Windows OS (partition 3 for MAC OS 10.6 and lower, partition 4 for OS 10.7 Lion because of the recovery partition).
Unfortunately Bootcamp cannot create NTFS partitions so it formats it as FAT32.
We then create a standard client task sequence using MDT and the Windows 7 source files (not a custom image) and give it a name to make it obvious it’s for Mac’s – “Windows 7 for Macintosh running Bootcamp”.
We edit that task sequence and disable the built in “Format and Partition Disk” step since we don’t need to create the partition, only format it as NTFS.
We then create a custom diskpart.txt file called BootCamp_Lion.txt with the following contents:
SELECT DISK 0
SELECT PARTITION 4
FORMAT FS=NTFS QUICK OVERRIDE
We place this file in the “Extra directory to add” location we’ve specified in the Win PE Customization section so it is located on the root of X:\ when it boots into Win PE.
We then add a command line to the task sequence: diskpart.exe /s x:\BootCamp_Lion.txt
to format the existing bootcamp partition as NTFS. Then in the “Install Operating System” step we set it to apply to a specific disk and partition – Disk 0, Partition 4.
This installs Windows 7 on the Bootcamp partition and leaves the Mac OS intact and has been working fine in MDT 2010.
Now with MDT 2012, the task sequence starts fine, formats the partition, installs Win 7, but when it comes up in the full OS for the first time I get the error “Unable to find the SMS Task Sequencer.
The deployment will not proceed.” And the task sequence stops.
I know the partitioning part has changed in 2012 and have read that you can get this error if you deploy to something other than disk 0, partition 1 but I’m wondering if I can accomplish the same thing that I used to have working in 2012.
Is there a different way I can do this? Any help would be appreciated.

I have been having the same problem.
What I have done to get around it is
add a custom command as we all did in MDT 2010 to format partition 3 or 4 depending on the version of OSX
don’t disable the Format and Partition Disk task but tick in create active partition then remove the partition properties and then click on options and check
continue on error
then under install operating system change the partition that you want to have windows installed on
Once the deployment has completed you will receive the message that deployment has completed but with one error

I transferred CS5 to a new computer using PC transfer program. CS5 started up on the new computer OK, but now does not recognize raw files. Should I uninstall and reinstall again?

I transferred CS5 to a new computer using PC mover ultimate. CS5 appeared to start up normally, I had to insert the serial number from my original CD. However, now the program does not recognize CR files and Adobe bridge is not working properly. I get messages that CS5 needs to be updated, but the updates fail. What should I do? Should I uninstall CS5 on the new computer, uninstall CS5 on the old computer using the original CD, and then reinstall CS5 using the CD on the new computer?

Transferring programs does not work well with Adobe applications. You should install them.
As far as having the program on different machines goes, you are allowed to have two activated installations so if it is working on the original machine there is no reason to remove it unless you need the space.

URLLoader works great localhost but live does not work

I have been working on this for a few days on the localhost set up, retriving data as varaibles from a php string.

I tried to restore ipad 2 with itunes, came up with an error 1015 i think. It now either shows a blank screen or the connect to itunes screen. When connected to computer it makes a low 3 beat sound (not normal when I used to connect would make different sound). Will not show up in itunes or on computer!!!? Please help

Connect the Device to the iTunes library you Usually Sync with, open iTunes, click on the Device tab that appears in the Left side column of iTunes, Select your Device, then go to the Summary Page and click Restore.

TS3367 facetime used to work but now does not work on any of my devices

I have been in regular contact until about 4 days ago using facetime on my iphone 5 imac 10.7.5. ipad 2 now none of these devices work from incoming calls from Philipinnes. Take note the caller had latest macbook pro 13 inch and is able to call Guam on fatetime with success. What is happening why is incoming calls alway failing. This has been 4 days running and is not good enough. Okay I havent got the latest updates but why in the late few days whould this effect anything. I mean 3 devices and none of them work. This is most frustrating and annoying. I have intead used skype which does work but at night time the camera is not as clear. Tanke note also earlier in the year I received calls from Vietnam and although I did have dropouts was always able to connect only these last four days have had no success. Also I have not been able to call out. The wireless has full bar and am near the modem that is not an issue. Unless there has been a recent change why is htis not working all of a sudden.

THere seems to be a FaceTime issue and some users who have been in contact with Apple support claim that Apple is working on this.
I have read many posts on the issue and have seen that there are many reporting that when they have updated their various devices to the latest software, the issue has been resolved.
You can wait for Apple to resolve the issue OR you can update everything to the latest software and see if this solves your issues.

HT3748 My exchange email account works in iPhone but it does not work in mac, how do i solve it?

Are you connecting to Exchange 2003? If yes, Mail requires Exchange 2007 and higher. Your iPhone can connect but not Mail. You would have to setup as POP in Mail. Microsoft Entourage 2008 connects to Exchange 2003. It's old End of Life software so it will receive no further updates.
If you are using one of the newer versions of Exchange you might need to turn off AutoDiscover settings. This link has directions for Microsoft Outlook:

The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.

ISSUE: I just upgraded to RH8 from RH6 and the related topic popups that were converted over (from RH6 top RH8) as well as all graphic popups are not working. The only links I can get to generate are links to another topic within my project. All of these links and popups where working the last time the project was generated in RH6.

3 imacs 3 cities, A works to B, B works to C, but A does NOT work to C

Hello. I have a imac with 10.5.1. We have 2 sets of Grandparents each with 10.5.1 imacs, call them GPA and GPB, call us kids.
KIDS can ichat with GPA.
GPA can ichat with GPB.
KIDS can not however ichat with GPB.
To muddy the waters further, if GPA ichats with GPB, then adds KIDS, we can all 3 ichat together.
The problem is KIDS can not ichat with GPB.
Any ideas on what could be causing this?
All 3 sites have imacs with airport extremes.
KIDS are in Denver and have Qwest DSL.
GPA are in Chicago and have Comcast cable.
GPB are in Omaha and have a local phone company DSL.
Any help would be much appreciated!

If one of the Extremes is in Bridge Mode then it is Not doing NAT.
The issue can be the way each device at each end is doing NAT and some jsut "Don't Play Nicely" together.

As the Airports can not do UPnP then the Bridge Mode is one option although it does not help if you have multiple computers.

Mozilla Thunderbird Portable installed on Surface 3 Pro worked a few times but now does not open while the process overheats the system. why?

years of data in the installation (4GB);
Surface 3 Pro with i7 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD
the process is visible in Task Manager and absorbs around 35% of CPU time but no window is opened.
It looks like a bug but without the interface window it's impossible to do any update.

If you can manage to launch TB, it may be a matter of disabling graphics hardware acceleration.

Query works with indexs but view does not

I am using the following query:

It gets executed very fast as it uses the underlying XMLType indexes.
But if I create a view usign this query. And then Select * from View_Name. It does not use the indexes and takes forever to execute.
Any suggestions please.
