2 new page diffrences

Hi All,
I would like to ask you the different of 2 new page in smartforms, here they are.
1/ New page by data overflow in main window of page 1 and go next to page 2.
2/ New page by using command new page (with command form).
How can I recognize that 2 situations?
Please suggest.

Hi,
The first case is when you have a single page and when data oveerflows on the first page, it will trigger a new page and print the data there.
The second case:
When considering the above scenario, if in the flow, you want to display a new-page format ,then command page will be used to trigger it.
For example:
If you have display purchase order details, all items corresponding to one purchase document number will be displayed in one or more pages and after displaying all items, you want to trigger a page which has some terms and conditions , so in this case, after every purchase document number, terms and conditions page can be triggered using command_page.

Needed: Sum of LineCount Including Groups and Detail Data On Each Page Used To Generate New Page If TotalPageLineCount > 28
Background:
1) Report SQL is created with unions to have detail lines continue on a page, until it reaches page footer or report footer, rather than using subreports.    A subreport report is now essentially a group1a, group1b, etc. (containing column headers and other data within the the report    with their respective detail lines). I had multiple subreports and each subreport became one union.
Created and tested, already:
1) I have calculated @TotalLineForEachOfTheSameGroup, now I need to sum of the individual same group totals to get the total line count on a page.
Issue:
1) I need this to create break on a certain line before, it dribbles in to a pre-printed area.
Other Ideas Appreciated:
1) Groups/detail lines break inconveniently(dribble) into the pre-printed area, looking for alternatives for above situation.

Open Jasper Report in new page using servlet

Guys,
Looks very simple but i am having problem making this process work. I am using 11.1.1.4
This is my use case:
- From a employee page, user clicks on a menu item to open report for current employee. I need to pass appropriate report parameters to servlet and open report into new page.
I can successfully call servlet using commandmenuitem and set request parameters and call servlet from backing bean.... but that doesn't open report in a new page.... any way i can do this?
Another option i tried was that using gomenuitem and setting target=blank but in that case i need to pass the parameter using servlet url which i like to avoid.(in case i need to pass many parameters in future) (also values will be set on page so i need to generate url when then click the menuitem...... so there are some hoops and loops i need to go through) I don't know a way to pass the request parameter using backing bean to servlet... i don't think it is possible.
Those are the two approaches i tried.
If you have any better approach...I would appreciate if you can let me know. (i have searched on internet for two days now.... for the solution)

How do I move page order in Thumbnails view in the new pages? (which is driving me nuts btw)

I'm really struggling with the new pages, having used the old version so much I just can't get the hang of this one - so much has changed:( Really wish I hadn't bothered but now have too many documents created in it that I can't open on old version as it doesn't let you (mump mump - well I am scottish).
So in the old version I used thumbnail view to move about the order of the pages (really useful when making up artwork for magazines etc). Anyone know how to do it on the new version?
Also can't seem to view document in '2 up' - 2 pages side by side (also very handy for magazines etc).
Also the tables facility doesn't let you move borders of individual cells - you can only move the whole column - I can't even select them.
I could go on but will go before I start the 'pages shake'.

Scottish or not, your best option is to retreat to the last good version of the app, Pages '09.
Cut your losses.

while creating a new page it is showing me a dump error , that the superior program execption was not intercepted , i have even given the next page field also correctly, i have attached a mainwindow to that page and a text element to that . .

It was very simple to do in the previou version of pages.

I'm not sure why people are torturing themselves with Pages 5 given the nearly universal outcry on this forum and the incredibly negative reviews elswhere, such as the App Store.
Pages 4.3 should still be in an iWorks folder within your Applications folder. Just use that.

Paragraphs seem to only be dealt with in styles, and the Formatting window for text doesn't seem to have the space after paragraph contrtol that the older Inspector had. What am I missing?

Sorry I did this without looking:
Side panel >Text > Style > Spacing > Turn the triangle > Before Paragraph/After Paragraph/

ok, I found the keyboard viewer, it only shows the traditional symbol 'return'. something like a sideway u-turn continued with the arrow under. This is the Canadian or US keyboard.

I lost my bookmark list where the dropdown doesnt work. Same goes for the webpage address tab where it just does not save. When I try to bookmark a new page after clicking "Bookmark this page", there was no response too. Can someone please help me???

It was still functioning last night and before I close the firefox window, the problem started. The problem persist until now.
1. Bookmark - tried to check the "help" list for lost bookmark but none of them seems to suit the problem i'm facing. The menu tab is there, but when i click on "Bookmarks", my previous bookmark list is not there. When I try to bookmark a new page, there is no window popping up (usually there is a small window pop-up to ask for the label of the website to be bookmarked).
2. The website address tab - usually we have a list of website that we usually visit so we just need to click on the arrow and click on the webpage that we want to visit. But now, I have to type the website address every single time. There is no drop down when i click on the arrow.
Can someone tell me what is wrong with it and please help me to solve this problem. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Blank page is getting displayed in SAPScript when using NEW-PAGE option.

Hello Experts,
We have created a customized SAPScript and in this separate Script is generated based on the currency(WAERS).
So if we have 3 different currencies, then 3 pages will be created with there details, but we are using NEW-PAGE option in
MAIN window to separate the pages and after 3rd page it is displaying 4th page also with footer details.
So how can we avoid last blank page which is getting displayed?

This issue can be solved by two ways. Please take the one which suits you better.
Solution 1: If you need to generate separate prints for different currencies.
In the driver program, build an internal table for different currencies which needed to be printed. (Using delete adjacent duplicates, build the internal table with exact number of currencies to be printed). Remove the NEW-PAGE option and call the script/form inside the loop. Do the necessary conditions to manipulate the print.
Advantages of above solution: Better control on spools if needed.
Solution 2: Get the count of the number of pages in a variable. Inside the print loop, increment a flag counter. Check it against the variable which contains the number of pages to be printed at the end of each page. Exit the loop when the number of pages to be printed is reached.
Advantage of above solution: Simple to write the program.

How do i layer text boxes in the new pages?

I have the new pages, and every time i try to layer a text boxes, one text box disappears. How do i change that?

Please give the exact version number of Pages, it helps when sorting out problems.
The Textbox doesn't disappear.
The text in the Textbox is pushed away by the Textwrap on the other Textbox/es.
Generally, with the Textbox/es selected:
Toolbar > Format > Arrange > Text Wrap > None

Sharepoint 2013 WIKI change new page content

After surfing throught a lot of tutorials talking about how to create content templates, Master Templates and everything else in Older versions of Sharepoint, I can't modify the default content on a new Entreprise Wiki page. All I want is
when someone create a new page the Template text come!
Why you make it so dificult? Why not a Simple button "Make this new Page Template".
Please tell me if it's possible where can I edit the default Blank text for new Wiki Pages.

If someone is struggling with the Templates like me, you can workaround it using Reusable Content.
Edit Wiki Page -> Insert -> Reusable Content -> More Choices -> Open List -> New Item / Edit Items
You can create Templates here for detailed Wiki parts .
Be carefull when creating new Content, there is a option for read only / editable Content.

Help!! adding new pages to doc with logo!!!

I've posted various questions for a couple hours now, none are answered. Is everyone sleeping or does no one know how to use Pages?? I'm near tears and I've read the manual about 10 times and don't understand it. I've tried to Google it but I'm not even sure what exactly to Google.
I have an 18 page document in Pages. It's just a plain old word processing document. A list of Gluten Free restaurants in my area. I add new restaurants to this list all the time so it needs to re-order itself as it does as a plain word processing document.
I want to brand it more so I'm putting my logo and a little design in the bottom left corner of each page, or at least thats how I'd like it to look.
So I set up page one, saved it as a template, captured it, done everything I can think of. But when I copy the document and paste it into the text boxt on the first page of the new document with the little logo on the page, all the subsequent pages do NOT have that logo on them. Just the first page.
IF I set up 18 pages with the logo, and then paste it just adds 17 blank pages after that first page with the logo. And those 17 pages that I set up prior to pasting are after the pages it added after the paste that have no logo.
How do it get this to add a page with the logo in the corner??
So when I add 5 new restaurants and it has to add a page to fit them it it will have that logo. This can't be that hard to do. I need the doucment to automatically add new pages when text is add and those pages need to have the logo,
Please help me!!!

I'm sorry you think that Peter and it isn't true. Maybe you are testy because its 2 am.
I spent hours trying to figure it out on my own. I looked all over these forums, I Googled it, I went to other Apple tips and forums I am familar with, went thru the manual. I tried a lot of places first so I really don't think I'm demanding and I'm sorry if I came off that way.
I was just super frustrated. Not being very computer savvy can be super frustrating, often I find what I "think" might be the answer for something I'm looking for and I can't even understand the answer. I try, I follow the steps but some of the terms I don't know and then have to google and follow more steps and blah blah.
I'm sorry but I didn't just come here without doing research first for the answer, so its not fair to say I expected others to do the work for me. I did try. I agree the information here us beyond useful, I never could have done anything without out in the past, I've used it many times. But you can shoot the messenger if you want but the response time does seem slower. Not sure why you take that personally.

How to trigger New page while using ALV with classes/oops?

I am trying to print a report which has to show the data in two pages.
I am using ALV with classes/oops.
Though I am able to print the report but a new page is not coming. Whole of the data is coming in one single page.
Please tell me as to how to trigger a NEW PAGE while using ALV with classes/oops.
Please send some code samples also if available.

using sort option you can do it. in case of grid/oo alv class ALV you can view that only in print mode/preview mode.
in case of list you can view that directly.
sort-fieldname = 'FIELDNAME'.
sort-group = '*' "triggers new page
sort-up = 'X'.
append sort to it_sort.

When I use the new Pages on my iPad, I can't open it on my new computer. It tells me that I must download the new Pages to see the Pages document, but when I try to download the new pages to my computer it tells me all apps are up to date.

When I use the new Pages app. On my IPod to type documents, I can't open them on my new computer. It sends me a message that I have to download a newer version of pages to see the Pages document. When I try to do that it tells me all my apps are up to date and will not allow me to upgrade the pages on my iMac.
Any suggestions?
