2 of my songs that play fine on my computer in my library won't play on my iPhone 3. What can I do?

I have no problems with the other 500 songs just these two. They are on the list of songs, but they don't play. When I sync I get a warning that my music will be removed from my iPhone but no songs ever get removed. I'm  not sure what to do about this.

Try converting the file to AAC (If skillfully aquired as opposed to purchased from iTunes store)

If purchased form iTuens store, remove it from iTunes, try redownloading it again via:

Hope this helps!

Is there any way of undoing a shuffle? The CDs I downloaded to iTunes have all been shuffled into individual 'songs'. As most of these are classical and folk, it is inappropriate to have them separated into songs that play any old time (ie, a movement from Beethoven's 5th symphony followed by a folk song followed by one excerpt from Vivaldi's Four Seasons, etc. Can I restore them all to the original albums and make sure the shuffle doesn't happen again?
    Thanks!

Thanks! That has worked, but only partially - there are still some Beethovens mixed in with the Vivaldis. I'm sure I installed these as total albums.
I have noticed that too from time to time, I generally move the files into the correct folder and fix the index in itunes when one won't open, occasionally.

I have several songs that I purchased. They show in my library, but won't play on any of my devices - including my computer. I keep getting the "authorize the computer" prompt. My computer is authorized! I have done all the troubleshoots that are available. How do I get my computer and other devices to be able to play these songs? Almost all  my songs play except for about 8 or 9.

If only some of the songs on an album are giving you the authorisation message, that suggests those song files are damaged.
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

Some songs that I've bought on iTunes won't play on my iPhone 3GS even though they used to and they will still play on iTunes.  Anyone know what I can do to get these songs to play on my iPhone again?  Please help!

No, I haven't figured it out.  And no one from Apple has contacted me to help.  Very frustrating.  Sure makes me want to not buy music on iTunes and just buy CD's.
Do you have a 3GS too?  Maybe it's something with that phone??

  • I have a song listed as one title but the song that plays is something entirely different. How do I correct this?

The song is listed as "Gentle on my mind" by Glen Campbell.  The song that plays is "Both sides now" by Judy Collins.  Don't know how to correct this.  Help!

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then best is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox application and save the disk image file to the desktop

After you connect the iPhone to your Mac launch iTunes.
Select the iPhone under Devices left side of the iTunes window.
Select the Music tab from the menu.
Make your selections for the songs you want synced the click the Sync button bottom right side of the iTunes window.

Hello, I bought a song on iTunes that has a music video to it, but I don't want the song to play the music video. How can I make it so the music video isn't played?

    Hello, iBillyxD.
Thank you for the question.  The best way to avoid this behavior would be to delete the music video from your library.  You can always download it again free by accessing your previous purchases.  To delete and item in your iTunes library, select the item and hit delete on your keyboard.

  • Albums that work fine in my desktop itunes don't drag and drop to my iphone

All of the albums work fine in my itunes on my PC, but when I connect my iphone 4s via USB then try to drag and drop them to my iphone, they initially show up, but when I open them on my iphone the songs read in a muted gray and won't play.
Then, after I deleted those albums on my iphone (and additional songs that worked fine on my iphone to be sure that space usage was not an issue), I tried to drag and drop the albums again from my itunesPC to my iphone itunes (connected USB) - but the albums won't tranfer at all this time.
I called apple and an advisor asked my to connect my iphone to my PC again and try deleting a single song (which worked fine previously on my iphone), then the advisor asked me to drag and drop that song back to my iphone from my PC itunes - it would not transfer.
It seems oddly that once I delete an item from my itunes on my phone it is denied re-entry.
    Any solutions?

You probably need a Web Browser that support Flash. We can try the link or you.

  • Songs only play for 10 seconds. What do I do?

I bought some music on my phone. I hooked my phone to my computer and the new songs started downloading into my library on my computer. A message popped up saying there was a problem downloading some of the songs. There was an exclamation point inside a circle next to those songs. At the time there was a cloud with a down arrow next to those songs so I clicked them to re-download the songs. They finished downloading and I synced my phone to my computer. I tried to play those songs, and they play for about 10 seconds or less and then stop. There aren't any cloud symbols next to the songs on my computer or my phone even though I have it checked to show purchases in the cloud. What do I do to fix my songs? They were playing fine before I downloaded them onto my computer. I'm running iTunes 11.1.4.

    Hey rjfdlf,
That definitely sounds frustrating. If the songs are not playing fully, they may need to be redownloaded. To redownload them, you'll want to delete them from your library. See the following article:
Songs in iTunes may not play back completely
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4357
    Symptoms
Occasionally, if a song purchased from the iTunes Store on a Mac or PC was not downloaded completely, the song may not play back fully. The song may abruptly stop during playback, and iTunes may start playing the next song in your library or playlist.
    Resolution
If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, try the following steps to resolve the issue:
    1. Delete the purchased song that is exhibiting the problem from your iTunes library.
    2. Click on the Purchased link in the iTunes Store to view your previously purchased music.
    3. Download your previously purchased song from this list.
Note: iTunes in the Cloud, which allows you to download previously purchased songs from the iTunes Store, is not available in every country. Learn if iTunes in the Cloud is offered in your country
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

I understand the confusion. Those tracks are royalty free to the owner of the tracks, yes. The terms of use of the iTunes Store still state, though, that all purchases are for your own personal use and cannot be used commercially:
    USAGE RULES
    1. You shall be authorized to use iTunes Products only for personal, noncommercial use.
They're probably fine for presentations in a class or to a group at your company, but you probably could not post the presentation or a video using these tracks on a public site. I'm no lawyer, though, to legally define what would and would not constitute "noncommercial". It's probably best to just buy your tracks directly from one of these sites of royalty-free music. Then the use license should be completely clear.
    Regards.

  • Why when i unplug my ipod do the songs that I have on the computer come up with exclamation marks

Why when i unplug my ipod do the songs that I have on the computer come up with exclamation marks

You need to plug your iPod back in and copy the songs from the iPods memory onto your MBPs hard drive, and then import the songs into your iTunes library from there.
I'm guessing that before you were simply clicking a song from your iPods memory to play it in iTunes, so whenever you tried to access the song without the iPod plugged in, your MBP couldn't find it.

    Hi, Mrs.Frankie57.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you want to delete a song from your iOS device on iOS 7, tap Songs, swipe the song from right to left, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.
