2 per page landscape view?!

i would like to print two pages per sheet (to save the universe) and Preview does not seem to have very good controls for this. does anyone know how to do this?
I select "Print Selected Images", Select 2 "Images per page" - and then what?
Clicking on the two "Orientation" icons sometimes seems to change the orientation and sometimes it doesn't. i.e. it will simply preview an image of either two images side by side in portrait view or it will show one on TOP of the other in landscape view. I want them to be SIDE BY SIDE.
Then the other issue I have with Preview is that even when it shows the two images side by side in portrait view - it will print ONE PER PAGE.
Can I reset Preview prefs somehow?
I have Autorotate off and unchecked.
Thanks.

Below the Orientaion selector click on the Preview box. Select Layout and you will get what (I think) you want.

  • Issue in pagination of pivotal view (10 rows per page)???

    Hi All,
    I’m implementing pagination in pivotal view, report has to show 10 records per page.
    Report has to show for 8 weeks data per employee and 10 employees information per page, however report is displaying data for more than 10 employees and for a week single week, in second page its showing for 2 week and so on ….
    I used all the following functions however issue persists.
    1. FLOOR(RCOUNT(1) /10)
    2. CEILING((RCOUNT(1))/10.0)
    3. TRUNCATE((RCOUNT(1)-1)/10, 0) +1
    4. CASE when rcount(1)<11 then '1-10' when rcount(1)<21 then '11-20' when rcount(1)<31 then '21-30' else '30+' end
    Any suggestions
    Thanks,
    SMA

    Look in criteria add one more column
    in FX write this formula
    Go to the formula window of this column and enter the formula shown below
    CASE WHEN RCOUNT(1) < 11 THEN ‘1-10′
    WHEN RCOUNT(1) < 21 THEN ‘11-20′
    WHEN RCOUNT(1) < 31 THEN ‘21-30′
    ELSE ‘30+’ END
    Once this is done, drag and drop this column into the Pages section of your pivot table. Now you can paginate through your pivot table report.
    let us know if its solve your problem
    Thanks

  • Rows Per Page option in Pivot view.

    Hi,
    If our report is returning more no of rows and if it is in table view , we have and option in table edit view "Rows per page". Do we have same "Rows per page" option available in Pivot table view.Because i have a report which is returning more than 150 rows and i want only 10 rows to be displayed and then scroll.
    Regards,
    Som.

    Currently, we do not have that for Pivot tables. You can use another approach to show the pagination. I have an example here http://oraclebizint.wordpress.com/2008/01/17/oracle-bi-101332-pagination-in-pivot-tables/.
    Thanks,

  • How do I stop pdf viewer from printing 4 pages per page?

    When I print a file off pdf viewer in firefox, my printout comes out 4 pages per page, even though I check advanced settings and verify that it is set to 1 page per page. I do not know where else I can look to correct this problem.

    HI nmrdata,
    It may be that Firefox printer settings need to be reset. Please see [[Fix printing problems in Firefox]].
    If you have any questions on how to open the about:config page please do the following steps :
    # In the [[Location bar autocomplete|Location bar]], type '''about:config''' and press '''Enter'''. The about:config "''This might void your warranty!''" warning page may appear.
    # Click '''I'll be careful, I promise!''' to continue to the about:config page.
    # Look for print.printer_print and reset the option.

  • How do you print multiple photos per page in LANDSCAPE using iPhoto ?

    I am very experienced using iPhoto and like it but it has a very limited print program that I find frustrating.
    The simple task of turning the paper to landscape mode does not appear to be one of the options when you wish to print more than one photo per page.
    Even with a single photo selected there is no "landscape" mode, but rather you have to define the print dimensionally to be 11" wide x 8" tall.
    Even that option however, goes away when you select the "custom picture arrangement" to get more than one picture per page.
    Has anyone figured this out - I love apples products but this omission is a pain - HELP

    First send a feature request to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/.
    A workaround, if you have the iWork suite of apps, is to create a landscape canvas in Pages or any image editor that supports layers, drag the two photos onto it, resize as needed and print.

  • Report error using landscape style, lines per page errors.

    Hi
    A Custom report(use character units in designer,11 X 8.5, stadard settings...) developed(reports 2.5 on apps 11), which was working fine previously using standard landscape. The report produces exactly 56 lines physically per page.
    Now, in applications ,landscape print style is properties changed, number of rows changed from 66 to 57.
    Now report gives error:
    'M_XXXX_GRPFR' is not fully enclosed by its enclosing object 'Body'. M_XXXX_GRPFR is the outer most frame in my report layout.
    (I tried increasing page size, etc, no use, same error)
    Now, I don't understand why it is giving error, as, it prints only 56 physical lines per page when I see the output file generated.
    Is that landscape is defined as 57 rows, but it is not exactly 57 physical lines? Because when I took out some stuff from report layout, which now produces only 45 physical lines, it is working fine.
    But, I have all 57 phyiscal lines in the report that I want it to work, any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Rathan.

    Hi,
    Try this, i might work for you.
    <?for-each:Q1?>
    Here, place KIT ITEM Data table
    Below that:
    <xsl:variable name="no_of_lines_per_page" select="number(30)"/>
    <xsl:variable xdofo:ctx="incontext" name="invLines" select=".//Q2"/>
    <?for-each:$invLines?><?if:(position()-1) mod $lpp=0?> <xsl:variable name="start" xdofo:ctx="incontext" select="position()"/>
    [here KIT COMPONENTS tabel will start]
    [In table first cell again start for-each group like below]
    <?for-each:$invLines?><?if:position()>=$start and position()<$start+$lpp?> ---this is in table first cell
    [in rest of cells, put your columns xml tags]
    <?end if?><?end for-each?> - in last cell.
    this is end of Q2 table.
    After that put a page break
    <xsl:if xdofo:ctx="inblock" test="$start+$lpp<=count($invLines)"><xsl:attribute name="break-before">page</xsl:attribute></xsl:if> -- page break outside the Q2 table.
    Now close the invlines for-each group
    <?end if?><?end for-each?>
    Close the Q1 for-each group.
    <?end for-each?>

  • How do I make program (landscape view, 4 sections, folded into 4 page program)?

    How do I create a program booklet (landscape view divided into 4 pages, then folded) in Pages?

    Hi Dottie,
    In Pages, there is a Catering Brochure template that might suit your needs. Two pages to print double sided, then fold in half.
    Menu > File > New From Template Chooser > Page Layout > Brochures > Catering Brochure.
    It is the layout that will help you. Don't be put off by the content, you can delete it and add your own.

  • Printing 6 slides per page in Portrait orientation?!

    Hello,
    I have iWork '08. In the past I always printed 6 keynote slides per page, with the page oriented in portrait orientation. However, now it refuses to do that. Even when I have changed the orientation to portrait in the page setup (under 'File'), it refuses to use that orientation when I print. In the print settings I use individual slides, and then in layout I tell it to print 6 slides on a page. At 1, 4, 9 and 16 slides per page, it does use portrait orientation. At 2 and 6 slides per page it suddenly uses landscape orientation. I have checked and checked again, but the page orientation cannot be changed within the print menu. Only in the page setup under file, which doesn't help at all.
    Why does it do this and how do I get rid of it?! I want to print 6 slides on a portrait oriented page!
    Thank you.

    Hi Azoolkool, I figured it out, so here goes: Under Keynote open your file, make sure your View is set up as Navigator view; this way you can see the mini-sidebar on your left side. On the individual slides highlight the slides you want printed by holding down the shift button and click on for example 7-12.
    Now click on File>Print, go to pages and enter in section From: 7 to: 12, Right under this area u should see Keynote drop down bar and on the bottom left area it states: PRINT with some options there, just check off "Individual Slides". To the right of the print section it should state OPTIONS; to keep your slides in color remove the check on "Don't print slide background or object fill". Do check "Add borders around slide" and "Use page Margin".
    Under the FROM and TO page area where you put 7 and 12 in - there is a drop down bar that defaults to Keynote, click on this and go to PAGE ATTRIBUTES to change your page orientation to portrait or landscape. Once done proceed to next step and click on PDF on the lower left hand side and enter into "OPEN PDF IN PREVIEW". It should default to the 7th page as full screen along with the sidebar appearing.
    Now click on File in the preview menu bar and then PRINT - Now uncheck the AUTO RATE and now check the "SCALE TO FIT" - "FILL ENTIRE PAPER". Then below that where it says images per page , change it from 1 to 6 and notice the print preview with six slides on one page. Now hit PRINT on the lower right hand side...
    Hope this helps, I had to learn the hard way today "Trial and Error" as the manual does not state this clearly. Also I'm sure there is a better way but no one has responded yet. Let me know if it works.
    Regards

  • Printing 6 slides per page

    For my science class we have to print out lecture notes, and my teacher says to print 6 slides per page, and this time it has to be in color. My personal printer is the only one that prints color, the family computer doesn't even have PowerPoint anyway, but that prints black and white. I have Keynote, and when i try to print 6 per page, it prints one whole column of 6 and moves to the next page.

  • Cropping pages and then printing 2 up per page.

    I have a PDF from Google books of a scanned in book with lots of white space in margins. The pages are small and portrait so I wish to print 2 per page on landscape A4. When I use the cropping tool I can reduce the white space to something like the original margins of the book. Then I print 2-up on Landscape to a .ps/pdf–x/pdf file and my cropping is ignored and I get two postage stamp sized (exaggeration for effect) pages in a sea of white space.
    How can I bake the cropping to a new file or at least get it to print with my chosen cropping and then enlarged to fill A4 landscape.
    View cropped pages in Acrobat:
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/13808162@N08/3691054224/
    And printed two-up to A4 landscape page as .ps then distilled:

    Also I can't use the insert image button in this forum thread editor it is greyed out but Video is good?!
    And i can't write my own <a href="apple.com">Better forum tools</a> links here, despite having such a good example in apples discussion forums and years to think about getting it right. Adobe is twin brothers I think – one good one evil

    Thanks Michael,
    I'm pretty sure I could do this in InDesign if I ran the script to load the PDF pages into an InDesign doc and then a script to align/crop each page. Wanted to make sure I am not missing something in Acrobat first — in fact, if what I am finding is all Acrobat can do in terms of realising its crops on multipage printing, it amounts to a serious bug (in my book). I've used imposition software in Print shops and it is very effective I know but the price is just too high for a small return. Don't want to learn demo software I can't use after a couple of uses either. Thanks for the suggestion though it's definitely a solution.
