1. Slow screen drawing & some time PS hangs too in quick mask mode & refine edge....

due to precision problems in the shader compilation

recently i noticed that the sound is not comming from my i phone 4s so i needed to restore it as it was earlier. So i decided to do it by restoring it without itunes. Now it is taking too long to restore it, it is still going on since 3 hours . Can anybody Tell me what problem i am facing???
Which software did you use to restore it, if you didn't go with iTunes?

Hi! I work with Photoshop/Premiere Elements 10 on my snow leopard (10.6.8) without problems since years. Now I want to move over to the new MacBook Pro (and lion 10.7.5) but only Photoshop runs on it, every Premiere version (I downloaded Elements 12 and further more) stops installation and shows Installation ERROR: ASU has quit unexpectedly, Media DB Error: 18. Please help!

about 10 days ago started having trouble with Hotmail. Could isgn in but keep getting the following message.

I can send mail and review my contacts but that is it.
I then tried getting in with Internet Explorer and it works fine. I do not like IE because I have problems with some websites.Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Im trying to update, but all it does is backup my phone, My itunes is updated, BTW, I just went to Apple bar, i had previous problem with prior phone, now im having this update problem with thyis new phone, someone HELP!!

I am on OSX 10.7.5 and recently had to reinstall it due to 'mail' not working correctly. That problem was resolved but now my I can't use the 'right click' function on the apple usb mouse. I only have a previous version re-install disc as I bought the latest OSX off the app store. Any help gratefully received?
Hmmm, no, no drivers needed, now it sounds like a bad install... unless you might have some old Mouse software installed???
If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
If that doesn't help Reinstall the OS. -
I just got my ipod touch- the one with the camera not even a year ago. I have never had problems with it until now, it won't turn on. I hadn't dropped it or anything, it was working fine last night. I had it on the charger then when i woke up this morning it wouldn't turn on for anything. The battery was also fully charged. Any suggestions on what i should do?
Try connecting it ti itunes see if it picks it up, have similar problem with my IP4. It may ask you to restore!

You can migrate to iCloud, but the only thing you will be able to do is access email, and you will have toi set Mail up manually to do this:

This is worth doing to maintain your email address, but you won't be able to sync calendars, contacts or bookmarks. Your calendars and contacts will be removed from MobileMe (though not from your Mac) and won't appear on the iCloud website. -
3 Problems with Address Book-- now considering Bento
I have 3 problems with Apple Address Book that make it close to unusable for me, so I'm considering buying Bento 3:
1. *Can't un-do accidentally deleted text*- When you click in the "Notes" section, it will select all the text there by default (instead of merely inserting the cursor). If you are not paying attention, and hit any other key when it is selected, it deletes everything in there. UN-DO will not un-do this. I've verified and reported this issue to Apple, but it has still never been fixed or formally addressed (aside from many complaints in the Apple forums).
2. *Search doesn't always work*- Yesterday I searched for one of my entries, Harbor Freight, by typing in the search "harbor". Nothing came up. I thought that maybe I never actually added this business and started with a new one. After I created the new one, I noticed that now, along with the new entry, the old contact suddenly showed up in the left column.
3. *Cards disappear*- Many complaints on the web about this. I do not do any syncing with MobileMe or any device. Occasionally, cards just seem to vanish. Sometimes the card is actually still there, but changes in the Notes field or other fields I made on a previous day were evidently not saved and gone. Very frustrating.
Here's my concern with using Filemaker Pro's Bento: if it's using and accessing the same database as Address Book, all these problems might end up also existing in Bento. I use Address Book for business and personal and heavily rely on the Notes section. I can't keep wasting my time with this.
I don't mind paying the $50 for Bento if it resolves these issues, but the shared database worries me. I guess that I could create an independent Bento database that is completely separate from Address Book, but then I don't know how well it would integrate with Apple Mail.
Any thoughts?

DaveDON'T DO IT. DO NOT INSTALL BENTO. I bought & installed it on 01/20/10 and it destroyed my address book. Gone forever. If you are having problems with Address Book now, wait until you see the damage created by Bento! Bento does not replace Address Book. It is a 'supplement' (at best) and uses and updates every file in your Address Book without you even knowing it! Well, you notice it when your database is destroyed and you find all of your contacts under 'No Name'. I am so serious. Bento is just a shell. None of your addresses are actually stored in Bento. They remain in Address Book. Every time you open Bento, it accesses your address book database, and starts re-formatting and re-working every entry along with any 'changes' you make. And who do you call for help? Apple says 'not our program'. Filemaker says 'we don't know anything about Mac's'.....I lost four years of addresses for all of my customers. Gone. In seconds! Just don't do it. Don't install Bento. And be sure to remove any 'smart groups' you have created as it seems to be at the root of most problems one encounters with address book.

I reset the password. As you instructed, but that was not enough to solve the problem.
To solve the problem I also did the following:
For my user name I included @me.com., but I'm not sure that made any difference.
I think the key to solving this was that I pushed past the error I got on the Outgoing Mail Server window. I wasn't sure I should do that but I was desperate:
Next I got this window and checked SSL.
That was it!
Finally I went into account preferences and checked the outgoing mail server settings to be sure the server port was correct. It was.

I believe they discontinued all mobile.me accounts yesterday. It's been in the planning for a long time with lots of notification. I believe you can still get access to the e-mail from Tiger but you'd need to browse past discussions on this forum for details on how.

I tried to partition him using bootcamp but didn't have mac os cd neither mac instalation. the problem i am dealing now its that i cant go back to OS partition since its not appeared when i restart c and no win drivers to have a properly running system. I've thought as an option to re-download boot-camp and run the instalation from windows partition and see if i can repair it that way, didnt try yet thought just in case anyone has a better prposition or dealed with the same problem
Take it to your local Apple Store or AASP, it's covered by a 1 year hardware warranty. If you have AppleCare then give them a call but I'm pretty sure they will advise the same. If you have not purchased AppleCare yet please do, this will extend the warranty to 3 years however it MUST be purchased within the first year of ownership. Let it go 366 days and you are out of luck. AppleCare will also include telephone support too.
