2 routers being used at the same time What do I do?

Hi, I currently have a Time Capsule which is used as my router for my wireless computers and is used as a backup device for my Mac Pro.
We have just subscribed to Verizon Fios and we are canceling Cable. Today they will be installing everything. Apparently I have to have their Wifi installed. I'm not sure what to do. Is it ok to have 2 wifi's? Can it effect my wireless computers?
Is it better to use their router to connect to the internet on my wireless computers? Is there something that I have to setup on the routers? Any info is greatly appreciated

Chances are pretty good that the Verizon Tech will not provide any service outside of verifying that you can connect a computer to their router to get Internet access. They also do not generally support Apple equipment ... so you will be left to do so yourself.
After the tech leaves, you can do the reconfiguration yourself and it will be relatively easy.
Here are the basic steps:
o With the Time Capsule (TC) still powered-off and not connected to anything, you will want to perform a "factory default" reset. This reset will return the TC to its "out-of-the-box" configuration and makes it easier to set up in a new network environment. (Note: This type of reset will NOT affect any data stored on the TC's internal hard drive.) To perform the reset, using a paper-clip or ball-point pen, depress the small reset button on the rear of the unit. While keeping it depressed, plug the TC into power. Wait 5-10 seconds and the status light on the front of the unit should start flashing rapidly. Once it does, release the reset button. When done, go ahead a remove power from the TC.
o With the TC still powered-off, power-down the Verizon-provided equipment. With all the networking equipment powered-down, connect an Ethernet cable between one of the available LAN ports on the Verizon router and the WAN (circle-of-dots) port on the TC. Also (temporarily) connect your Mac to one of the available LAN ports on the TC.
o Power-up the modem; wait at least 10-15 minutes.
o Power-up the Verizon router; wait at least 10-15 minutes.
o Power-up the TC; wait at least 5-10 minutes.
o Power-up the Mac.
You should now be able to access the Internet from the Mac while connected by Ethernet to the TC. The TC's status light should be flashing amber, but you can ignore it as we will next use the AirPort Utility to configure it as a bridge.
To configure the TC as a bridge:
AirPort Utility > Manual Setup > Internet > Internet Connection
o Connect Using: Ethernet
o Connection Sharing: Off (Bridge Mode)
o Click Update to save the new settings to the TC.
o After the TC restarts, verify that you can still get Internet access from the Mac connected by Ethernet.
o You can now use the AirPort Utility to make other configuration changes to the TC as required.

OIM - Same tasks being executed at the same time

Hi,
I'm using Lotus Notes and SAP User Management connector to provision users to these target systems.
Both Lotus Notes and SAP has a issue related to same tasks being executed at the same time. In other words, if we try to create two or more users in these systems, an error is thrown because a user is currently being created.
So, when I run a trusted reconciliation, I'm getting many errors related to this issue because OIM is trying to create more than one user at the same time in the same target system.
Does anyone knows if I can configure OIM to run the same provisioning process only when the previous process is already completed?

Frankly, I haven't thought about using OVD yet. I just assume that OIM should be able to deal with 2 instances of the same kind of ITResource. Because this requirement is very common.
I did a little experience. For the second OID, I created manually a new set of ITResource, Resource Object, Process Form, Process, AttrName Lookup Code, Recon Rule. The apporach seems working. I can successfully provision the OIM user to the OID now.
But a problem is in the original OID User Process definition created by the OID connector installation, there are almost 20 Process tasks, how do I copy those tasks to my new Process definition? I just mannually created a "Create User" task, which is needed for provisioning.

Depending on which soundcard you have there, but if your card is capable for
ASIO -> activate I/O drivers on Sonar/Options/Audio/Drivers -tab (mic/line sources should be listed there --> activate) and select the mic or/and Line sources on tracks "I" - dialog
WDM/KS -> use the Surround Mixer or windows recording controls for recording source selection (mic should be listed there)
MME32 - > same w/ WDM/KS
If you use Asio4All --> same w/ WDM/KS & MME32
No mic and line source simultaenously w/ WDM/KS and MME32.
You perhaps be able to do this w/ kX drivers.

You can also install modded version of Audigy 2 drivers/software but I have never done this w/ Li've! 5. so I can't be sure if you get ASIO support for your card.

If you want to work with Mac OS X, you need one computer per simultaneous user.
What you are describing, " Multiple simultaneous logins to a single computer" is not avialable on a regular Mac of any description, unless you decide to use Unix tools instead of Mac OS X.
Server will happily store files for many, many users and provide them to multiple (up to hundreds) of computers at "near hard Drive" speeds over Gigabit Ethernet. It can make the File Sharing part easy.

How to use at the same time the audio sounds of a keyboard & the midi sounds with mainstage

Hello! hope you can shed some light on my problem! I want to be able to use at the same time the real sounds of korg sv-1(stage keyboard, but it could be any stage piano with USB midi) and use other sounds from mainstage. Of course i switch between patches and sets with a footpedal so i can be quick with my changes of sounds so I try to keep my hands on the keys.
My question is: Is there a way that one moment for example i have a silend patch (from mainstage) and the real sound i want passing through audio and the next moment silence from korg and the next patch a sound from mainstage? Or even combine them. I mean in general how am I able to integrate the sounds I prepared and organised in patches in mainstage with the beautiful piano & rhode sounds of my sv-1?

Yes. To have a silent Mainstage patch, simply do not create any instrument channel strips. To have the SV-1 silent on a patch you should be able to set and save the volume for that patch to 0. As an alternative you could turn local off on the SV-1( this function will reset to local on after the SV-1 has been turned off). With local off you can determine with each Mainstage patch whether or not you want to transmit MIDI to the external instrument(SV-1) channel strip. If you have local on, be careful not to create a MIDI feedback/loop with the SV-1. This is a lot of info to digest at once, so take it slowly, step by step. Snapshots below are somewhat in order.
Click on the cog wheel in the upper right corner of the channel strips section to get to this menu. Select add external instrument channel strip.
The external channel instrument strip will look like this.
Click on the MIDI output box to show the display below and choose your external keyboard destination(SV-1).
In the channel strip inspector you can send patch changes to the SV-1.
Here is where you select the MIDI input for routing MIDI to the SV-1. If want no SV-1 sound for this Mainstage patch, select none.
You'll need to play with these parameters to get the desired results. Stepping through the MS patches with a footswitch can be done, too, but that can wait for now. Post another question when you master these steps.

i build a new exception class with message class and i want to replace the
old exception that i had in the method ,what i did is delete the exception from the method
signature and add the exception class .

CC EULA 2.1.3 Two computers "used at the same time"

In CC EULA 2.1.3 what does the phrase "used at the same time" mean? Does the licensing system keep track of when I open and close AI (for example) so that when I put my desktop to sleep without closing the application it still considered "in use"?

I have two licenses, sometimes both in use. I occasionally need to be on the road and use my laptop. I generally put my desktop to sleep and forget to close one of the Adobe applications I was using. When I turn on my laptop and use any Adobe application it makes me sign out of all other computers on my account before using the laptop. I then have to log in on both desktop computers before I can use them.
I guess what my question really boils down to is this: How do they monitor and enforce the two computer rule?
Furthermore, how can I make sure that when I use my laptop I don't have to force both machines to log out?

How to limit the max dialog no that one user can use at the same time?

I meet one performance problem that one user can open 6 sessions in the GUI and he/she can run 6 reports at the same time witch could occupy 6 dialogs in the sap R/3 instance. It makes poor performance for other users.
Would you pls tell me how to limit the no. of sessions one user can create at the same time or how to limit the no. of dialogs one user can occupy at the same time?

rdisp/rfc_use_quotas 1
rdisp/rfc_max_own_used_wp 20 (means: 20%)

We can reserve DIA W.P by giving value to the parameter :- rdisp/rfc_min_wait_dia_wp=1(default)
that have to necessarily remain free for other users.
This parameter is used to reserve a number of dialog work processes for Dailog mode.
For eg. If 10 dialog w.p. are configured for the instance(rdsip/wp_no_dia=10) and the parameter rdisp/rfc_min_wait_dia_wp=3 is set,parallel RFC's can occupy a maximum of 7 DIA W.P.3 DAI W.P. always remain free for dialog mode.
But now the question is how we assign/restrict this free dialog w.p. to the specific user.

Is there a conflict between Reader XI and Acrobat being used on the same computer?

I downloaded the new Abode Reader XI. The computer in question has, also, Adobe Acrobat 7. Is there a conflict between them if used on the same computer? I can not open any PDFs and now the saved PDFs I had on the computer will not open and the icon shown on the desktop is gone. Please advise as I scan documents to this computer all the time and the person who needs to see them can not.

I have Acrobat 8.1.6 and Reader XI on Win XP. Do these conflict? Should I get rid of the newer Reader?
I'm having problems printing to the PDF print driver, locks up system, shows printer offline in spooler. I doubt problem is with driver itself because I can print a Test Page from it ok. But printing to Adobe PDF from Word & other apps locks up & never completes.

Organizing photos taken will 2 camera used at the same time

I used 2 cameras at the same time (with different lens). Is there a way to import the photos (I had to use 3 cards over 14 day vacation) to the same catalog and organize them chronologically? I'm hoping to intermingle the photos. Assume that the time was set properly in both cameras.

No problem to import them all and sort by capture date/time. And if the time wasn't set exactly, you can adjust the images of one camera within LR wiht no problems. Additionally, you'll be able to filter by camera type using the metadata filter.

Microphone and what U hear can not be use at the same time at the same time

I am using Creative SB X-fi Xtreme Gamer (Creative Model Number: SB073A), sound card and have down loaded the latest drivers (version 2.18.15). What U hear is enabled, which in turned makes the microphone unavailable. If you reverse the settings, then what U hear is unavailable.
It appears that; microphone and "What U Hear" can't be enabled at the same time. If someone has an answer on how to correct the following settings to achieve; using the microphone and what U hear at the same time would be appreciated.

Yes, the iPhone will support multiple simultaneous bluetooth connections as long as they are not using the same profile.
I use a bluetooth heart monitor and bluetooth headset at the same time with my iPhone on a daily basis.

Just want to check out with the other Apple Users here. I am using a Late 2013 rMBP, however the T Connector do get hot while I am charging and using the mac at the same time. Is this normal ? or do I have to drop by an Apple Store to check it out ?

Hello there.
It's quite normal for the magsafe 2 connector (magnetic one) to become a bit warm while it's charging your mac. It will be warmer when your battery is low and the heat will start to dissipate as the battery charges. There is absolutely nothing to worry about. Normally your magsafe can go upto 35℃ depending your surrounding temperature. Even mine does. Just remember the warmth should not be untouchable, if that is what you feel take to a apple genius bar to get it checked.
