2 simultanious homepages with gmail no longer loading properly.

Until just recently I was able to have 2 gmail pages/tabs open simultaneously as part of my home pages. One was my regular "[email protected]" account while the other was "[email protected]". I had this setup as my homepage and when firefox opened it would automatically load both pages and sign in. Now (last 2 weeks) not only it doesn't do that anymore it also forgets the @ieee.org page and when I manage to logged into both pages simultaneously I eventually get a message saying "You have been signed out of this account. This may have happened automatically because another user signed in from the same browser. To continue using this account, you will need to sign in again. This is done to protect your account and to ensure the privacy of your information"
How do I change this back to the way it was?

This is a Gmail (Google) feature to be able to have two accounts open at the same time and not a Firefox feature.
I don't know if Google has made changes to the way this works, so you can check that in the Gmail settings.

  • My PDFs no longer load properly in Chrome browser

    http://prosol1.com/paragon.html
I'm not sure if this is the right forum with this issue but it does have something to do with PDFs.  Please go to the above web page.  Click on any of the links to the PDF newsletter.  When I uploaded these files onto the server originally, I tested them and they all loaded properly in the web browser.  Now, none of them are viewable in the Chrome browser.  There are error messages popping up.
When you right-click on them and save them to your desktop and open them, they work fine.  Also, I just tested the above links in MS IE and all 3 of them work fine there as well - the PDFs load in IE like they should.
Does anyone know what the problem is?  Any help is appreciated.

You're right.  Just found the blog posts and so forth about the browser problem.  Thanks.

  • Why is Facebook suddenly is no longer loading properly with Firefox?

About an hour ago Facebook's home page stopped displaying properly in Firefox. I tried re-logging into Facebook only to discover that the logon page is also displaying all wrong. I'm having no trouble with Internet Explorer or Google Chrome so the problem seems to be between Firefox and Facebook. I have not downloaded/installed any new add-ons. The problem appeared while I was in Facebook.

  • Gmail doesn't load properly

I am running Safari 3.2.1, which I believe is the latest version (at least Software Update doesn't find any newer version available) and Gmail always seems to have problems. Basically the problem is that the page never loads 100%. It sits there with a swirling circle as if it's still loading and the status bar says "loading...4 of 6 items completed" (or 8 of 9 items completed). But it never completes the last items. The address bar is also about 80% filled and never finishes. The page seems to function okay, but it's annoying that it will not load to 100%. It's not an internet connection issue as the problem is specific to Gmail. I recently deleted all my caches, so I don't think the problem is there. I assume everyone has this problem and it's just a bug in Safari, but figured I'd check and see if someone knows how it can be fixed. Thanks for any suggestions.

    Ben,
When I was running 3.2.1 I had the exact same problem. It never kept me from using gmail but was disconcerting. I now run Safari 4 beta which seems to eliminated the behavior. As far as I know there wasn't a fix to the problem running 3.2.1.

  • Facebook site no longer loads properly, ever

I have an iPad mini running 6.1.3. I used to used the Facebook app, but after the last update a month ago it got so buggy that I gave up and resorted to using the web version instead. But for the last couple of weeks at least, when I try to access the Facebook site via Safari (with my browser ID'd as the desktop version), I get no graphics at all--just a bunch of text-based menus. And clicking on these menus does nothing other than bring me back to the same front page. I never see any posts, messages or anything else, even though I'm supposedly logged in (leader in URL is https). Going to the mobile version of the site produces the same results. I am able to access th "real" FB site less than 10% of the time--and even then, Safari never loads any images (I just get question marks instead).
I am sure this problem is mostly on the Safari end, because when I use the Atomic Web or Photon browser instead, I almost always get into the site just fine. A small percentage of the time, I get the same scenario as above, but it never lasts more than an hour or so before I'm able to get back in with these browsers. But the Safari problem has not resolved, despite multiple reboots and a lot of waiting. Anyone have any idea how to fix this extremely annoying problem?

are you going to facebook.com or m.facebook.com?
I access regular facebook via safari on my iPad and have had no issues (at least since this morning)
You could explore third party facebook apps.

  • Why does the website ok cupid no longer load properly?

This site does not load pictures, only text. I worked fine until about a month ago.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
*Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
*Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
*Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images.

  • Facebook will only load a blank page with Firefox. It loads properly on Microsoft Windows.

I tried upgrading to version 4.0, but Facebook still won't load. I can't find a toolbar on my screen that has the tools button, so I am unable to clear my cache or cookies.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.<br />
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.<br />

  • ITunes Store app no longer loading on iPhone 5 (using iOS 7)

I've upgraded to the new iOS 7.0.2 and everything was working fine but all of a sudden the iTunes Store app no longer loads properly.  When I tap on the icon the app flickers but loads in the background.  It doesn't actually open.  If I double tap the "home" button, I can see the app in the background with any other app that hasn't been closed.  When I tap the iTunes store app, when it's in the background, to try and open it from there, it just stays in the background.  This was initially working fine when I first loaded the new OS.  Has anybody experienced this?  I've tried to completely shutdown the phone and restart it with no success.  I've also tried re-syncing it with iTunes on my Mac with no success as well.  An email to Apple over a week ago still hasn't been answered.  If anybody has experienced this and can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks

Problem resolved.  A friend suggested that I go into iTunes on my Mac and backup the phone then try and do a restore.  This seems to have worked.  I'll update again if this fix doesn't hold.

  • Photoshop elements no longer loads and closes after

I recently upgraded my Lightroom to 5.4 and now my Photoshop elements no longer loads properly.  Once I start the program is gets to the Organize and Edit screen and if I choose Organize the program immediately closes.  Any ideas since I seem to no longer be able to just call Adobe and talk to a real person and get an immediate answer.

Try trashing any preference files Elements creates: user/Library/Preferences. Other than that try re-installing the software. You could also ask on the Adobe forum area at their web site.

  • Pages Won't Load Properly, Certificate Errors

Ever since upgrading to 4, i have been having problems with images and site loading properly. I am also having problems with the digital certificates, too. I tried going back to an older version but i am still having these problems. I have removed add-ons and without any change, re-added them.

I have looked on the forums and on Google without finding any help or useful information.

    Do a clean (re-)install:
    * Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 4.0: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
    * Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    * Don't remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    * It may not be necessary to create a new profile, so first try if it works with your current profile and if not then create a new profile.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.<br />
See [[Basic Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile|Basic Troubleshooting&#58; Make a new profile]]
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

  • MSN customized homepage will no longer load completely with Firefox4.

Since adding Firefox 4, our MSN homepage with added features no longer completely loads. "Clicking" on tabs or other links from the homepage will also not work...ie, when trying to change encoding, I can't click on the different options...they just do not work. I've cleared cache and cookies and set our settings to "No Proxy". Any suggestions?

You cannot set a home page in Safari so I assume that you mean that you have a shortcut to msn.com that will not open or the web page itself doesn't open.
    Try this.
Quit the Safari app completely and reboot the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
And do this as well. Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Clearing history is not a necessity, but clear cookies and data.

  • Why is TB re-syncing/re-load with GMail all messages each time I open TB? Slows down TB by much each time.

Why is TB re-syncing/re-load with GMail all messages each time I open TB?
It does slow down quite heavily. e.g. It takes almost 5 mins to just write a simple short email, since ''freezing'' at every 3-4 caracters.
All other programs on the computer work fine in the meantime, though. Including word processor. So it is really a TB issue.
Or is it a GMail issue, forcing download everytime a connection is created ?
I am on Win8.1 on an ASUS AiO.
    Thanks

IMAP mail accounts see a remote view of the server.
You subscribe to see server Folders.
Headers are downloaded and when you select to view an email, the emails are downloaded to a temp cache to enable quicker access to those emails, but upon exit Thunderbird the temp cache is lost, so you cannot read emails if offline. These emails are not stored on your computer.
If you synchronise subscribed folders, then a copy of the folder is downloaded to Thunderbird Profile folder and stored in an mbox file. This means you can read them even if offline.
However, the folder is set up to synchronise with the server when changes occur, so that your copy and the folder on the server are updated to be the same.
I would recomend that you do not allow folders to get too big as it would take longer to synch.
    more info on IMAP:
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/imap-synchronization
Can you see an 'All Mail' folder?
This is gmails copy of all your emails, so it is gmail Archive of your emails.
This folder can get huge. As it only shows you what you already have in other folders, it also doubles the size of your Profile and can take a while to download. It is recommended that you do not subscribe to see this folder.
Read info at link - under 'all Mail' section:
