2 things: 1) Can't add SOME songs; 2) "Options" doesn't appear in iTunes

1) I recently ripped some cds to my iTunes (newest version, 7.0.2.16, and for some reason, I can't add these songs to my ipod shuffle (I only add songs manually). Whenever I try to "drag and drop" them onto the ipod icon, I get the circle with a line through it. However, I am able to add songs to my iPod Shuffle from other cds that I have ripped to my library. Anyone know how to address this issue?
2) I cannot see the "options" icon at the bottom of the iTunes window (in order to set a setting to keep my iPod as a device, even when I remove the device from my pc). Any ideas?

So what format and encoding are the ripped songs?
Do FIle>Get Info>Summary to find out.

Yeah...iTunes 7.x did away with that capability...

Turn on the menus and it will appear.

I can't add text to photo. The Horizontal Text Box appears but when typing there is no text seen. There is a cursor line which appears outside the text box.

You have posted to the iTunes Match forum, which your question does not seem to be related to. Is your question concerning iTunes Match or syncing with iTunes via USB?

When i add some songs they dont add and another thing

when i add some songs the space amount will sometimes jump from eg. 12.45 to 12.51 and the file size is only 4mb. than after that it will jump back down to 12.46 and continue like nothing has happened. than i go to listen to some songs old/new on itunes or my ipod and on itunes it shows ! which i know means its gone but i dont know how and on the ipod it goes on it but skips. any help thanks

If I understand you correctly, iTunes is not transferring songs to your iPod. Before you sync again, make sure that the selections you want transferred are selected (by clicking the box next to each selection from your library in iTunes). Also try this, when your ipod is connected, click it under devices and select 'Music'. Then make sure 'Sync Music' and 'All Songs and Playlists' are selected. Good luck

You must surely be able to add and subtract songs on specific playlist?

I fixed this issue (with help from tech support) and it involved several things.
After adding a song to iTunes, right-click on the song in iTunes and select "Update iTunes Match."
OR go to the iTunes menu-->Store-->Update iTunes Match.
Maybe that's the reason, it just hadn't updated to the cloud.
OR maybe it's not a high-enough bitrate file. This happens to me because most of my tunes are home-recorded.
Sometimes converting to .mp3 or Create AAC version might work. (You do this with a right-click in iTunes, and then you will want to remove the original file from iTunes.)
There is an iTunes Preferences setting, under General Preferences called Import Settings. Try setting it to AAC Encoder and iTunes Plus. That (I think) causes imports to be slightly better quality.

How can I add a song to a playlist on my iPod?

Since I upgraded to iTunes 12, I can't seem to add a song from my music to a playlist on my iPod.
I tried two different ways:
1) Click on Music, then click on Playlists, and show Songs. Open up the iPod in the sidebar by twirling the arrow next to the iPod. I can add a song to the iPod by dragging it over iPod / Music, but I cannot add a song to a playlist by dragging it directly over the playlist name.
2) Click on iPod / Music. Try to drag the song from the iPod's music list to the iPod's playlist. Again, it won't let me.
So, how on earth do I add a song to a playlist???

I see that you wish to edit some of the playlists on your iPod from your computer and add some songs to them. The best way to do this would be to change the playlist as you wish in iTunes on your computer:

For some reason I can't get some songs off my old ipod. recently I lost all my songs on my new ipod so I went to my old ipod followed the steps of extracting files from ipod to itunes and come to find out that some songs didn't go into itunes. The files I want were downloaded using imesh and they are mp3 format. For some reason when I go into my computer and open my ipod's music folder the songs are not there yet they have to be because I can see and play them on itunes when I connect the old ipod.But I can see one of the files in a folder except that one file is really the entire album. It's about 13 songs and I can't seem to seperate them. So is there anyway to directly transfer all files from the ipod to itunes instead of doing the copy folder steps as described in apple's "transferring music guide"? Also I tried consilidating library and that didn't work either.

There is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs but not playlists back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward.

I have a Macbook Air and an iPhone 5s. When I plug my iPhone into my computer, there is no "add to" option to add songs to my phone. Also, when I click the songs on my phone, it gives me many options like "Get info" but no "delete" option. iPhone will sync or manually manage with one computer at a time. Syncing or manually managing music with another will erase the current content from the iPhone.
Put all of your music on one computer and sync to that computer.

Hello Vamsi,
That is NOT the correct way to play around with IDOCs.
the correct way is to create an enhancement to an exiting IDOC (this is done on the SAP R/3 side) after you craeted an enhancment you reimport the IDOC in XI from the R/3 and then you have a new structure with the new fields you need.
worst case scenario you can define a new IDOC type just with the fields you need.
