Just received a freebee iMac 333 rev.D ~ tray.~Fruit.flv.160 MB RAM. OS 9.04 With discs!
Neighbor was gonna toss it... anyway it had sat in a kitchen area since '01. SO when I replaced Pram battery today I could not even see the CUDA!
The layers of dust are cemented with cooking grease.
Could not even use compressed air. I did manage to use a "foam" Q-tip with rubbing alcohol to carefully uncover the CUDA. --- What would be a "safe approved" solution to clean logic board etc? It runs HOT.
Still cleaning outside,-stickykeyboard-stickymouse.
Plan on returning it ~ if she still wants it.

For 10.3.9, you can also try Camino. Unlike big brother FireFox, the latest version still works with Panther. It's my favorite Panther browser. Another less known choice is iCab. The 4.x version is based on WebKit like Safari, but unlike Safari which requires Tiger or later, Panther is supported with iCab. Actually, I've never tried iCab with Panther; just going by the system requirements.
You may want to take off the shell and put all the plastic parts into your diskwasher.

If you want to create your own report with required currency,
T CODE - KE35 - Click on "Report" (create), next window appears
Give the name of the report and description
The u see 2 options
1. Basic report
2. Report with Form
Select which ever you want and press ENTER
Here you need to prepare the report format and fields which are there in the right side box

Solution needed for Blocked material problem

Scenario : There are two plants in a Location(Plant A & B) and a Customer.Now the Material is blocked so that after the sales order the material will not be allowed to move from Plant A to B as well as the
material will not be moved to the customer end.
Solution needed : I need to move the blocked material from Plant A to Plant B,But the material shouldn't be transferred to the customer end.

General Scenario :
The document checked in Oracle UCM can be viewed through IPM Viewer only if the security group of the document is set to a IPM Profile .
The IPM Profile is created in Oracle UCM Configuration Manager Component whenever a application is created in IPMServer .
Issue in Clustering :
IPMApplication created in host 1 is creating profile in UCM Component Manager of host 1 but not in UCM Host2 component manager (Vice Versa).
This affects url generations of checked in documents through proxy since the IPM profile is not available in cluster.

Why is that?

Why is that?The semicolon for a "+CREATE TYPE+" indicates the end of the type definition. Other SQL commands does not need that - as other commands do not mix PL code with SQL DDL commands.

.. it realises that the *;* is the instruction for it to send the text "+select empid from emp+" to the server.
If you type a PL type instruction, SQL*Plus realises that you will be using semi-colons as command delimiters - and it will not send the text thus far typed to Oracle. Instead it will wait for you to tell it to send the text when you use the forward slash.
When you do a type definition, SQL*Plus knows that you need to use a semi-colon as end of statement character. So it will wait for you to finish typing and indicate that you're done type using a forward slash. E.g you type:
SQL> create or replace type TStrings as table of varchar2(4000);
+2> */*+
And SQL*Plus sends the text "+create or replace type TStrings as table of varchar2(4000);+" to Oracle for execution.
So be careful not to confuse SQL*Plus "transmit text" characters with SQL and PL/SQL command delimiters.. or the SQL*Plus primitive macro language with the formal procedural language of PL/SQL.

Solution Needed: Using VPN as a Jump off for multiple users to connect outbound to multiple 3rd party VPN

I work for a healthcare consulting company, we have 50+ consultants that work remotely from their home. We currently are cloud managed and for various reasons are looking for a solution to streamline our connection to our Clinics' personal VPNs. Our Clinics' VPNs vary greatly in regards to vendor and type of connection.
What we want to do:
Create a Jumpoff where all our consultants (simultaneously as well) can remote VPN into. From there be able to jump out to any of our Clinics' VPNs.
We need this because we have some consultants with foreign IPs and we also want to connect from Google Chromebooks which don't play nice with every type of our Clinics' VPNs. So the our Jump Off Box will have all the needed connections for any type of VPNs our Clinics use.
This solution should connect to our Clinics' side from their default VPN settings - Just a regular VPN connection from us to them.
From what I have been told is that this was attempted in the past:
Consultants VPN'd to our cloud server - RDPd to a machine and then VPNd out to our clinics. However this locked down the VPN and only one consultant could jump out.
What Cisco Product would allow us to do so?
How would this be set up?
Do we set up the Router to handle outbound connections?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

String parsing - better solution needed :-(

Basically I will be taking in a string that represents the name of the output file the user wants, this will be specified in an xml file. The issue I have is that it needs to have non-static elements as part of the name as well (like a timestamp). This can come from two places: 1) the applications map 2)Predefined list of functions. Anything that will be comng from the map will have square brackets around it [], whilst anything the refers to a function will be inside curly brackets {}.
So I may get a string in the form: filename_[user.id]_{datestamp}.pdf
This should be output in a file called: filename_12345_2811208.pdf
My issue is with evaluating the string, to determine what needs to be left as is, replaced with a value from a function, or replaced with a value from the map. I have looked at tokenizing the string and using indexof, but these are more trouble than they are worth. My current solution is, to have 4 booleans- one representing an open and close bracket of each type. When two matching booleans are true (i.e. detected an open and closed square bracket) take the sub-string between the brackets (to do this I use two ints representing the index of the brackets), evaluate it and append it to the output string.
I have tested this and it works- but I was wondering if there is some other method that works better, as quite frankly my solution is the sort of embarassing crud you would see from a first year student programmer. Any help at all would be massively appreciated.

Thanks for the speedy reply- and your understanding of the problem is spot on.
I had looked at the replace method- the only issue with that is that I have no way of knowing which value the users will want from the map (depending on how they have it implemented there could be hundreds of things in there), so to search the string for any value in the map would be hugely ineffecient :-(
But having said that- I could look at using that approach for "pre-defined function"- I don't think there will be many of these, but in typical fashion no one has seen fit to gove me a list yet.....so I get to guess. :-s

After getting this kind of error I have analyzed my code furhter then I came to know that there was problem with static include tag.
In my jsp page I have used following line which is the main cause of error
<%@ include file="top.jsp" %>If I ommit this line then it is working properly.
Instead of static include I have used jsp:include also.
Still I m getting same problem.
We have to migrated from JDK 1.5 to 1.6 and Tomcat 5.0.28 to 6.0.14, still same problem is there.
We have tried a lot but didnt get success to overcome this problem.

The CSS I gave you could either be embedded in the head of
the page -

<style type="text/css">
a { color:black; }
a:hover { background-color:yellow; }
</style>
</head>
or placed in an external stylesheet, to which the page is
linked.
This CSS will affect *every* <a> tag on the page. If
you need it to be more
specific than that, I would need to see your page to make a
modification
suggestion.

Basic FTP solutions needed

Not sure if this is the right forum, but....
I work for a small print shop and routinely need to send and receive files. For the most part, this can be handled via email but sometimes I have to send and/or receive files that are up to a couple hundred mb. I'm aware of and regularly use yousendit and others of its type but I'm looking for something different. Ideally, I'd like to send or make files available to others and have them upload and/or receive these files. Bear in mind, I have to account for clients that are unwilling or uneasy about registering for yet another website (yousendit, etc). I've looked into .mac but, unless I'm mistaken, others can't upload to my public file. Is this something that I should use a dedicated FTP server for or is there an efficient website that can handle it? I really don't know anything about FTP but I am willing to learn so any resources, links, etc. would be appreciated.

Box.net offers free file hosting up to 1gig and more is pretty cheap. They have a web gui that is pretty simple to share files with and also have a WebDAV server that can be mounted as a network drive by OS X and Windows.
Another possible solution is Amazon S3, which offers dirt cheap file storage and similar access options.
Neither of these have FTP though if I remember.
As for FTP options, you could quite possibly get away with using OS X's built in FTP sharing, its under the Sharing section of System Preferences. This would depend on whether or not you have a spare computer you can dedicate to being the FTP server or you could just turn it on when you need it. If you did that, you would need to forward port 22 on your router to the host computer and possibly enable it in the OS X firewall.
Very cheap hosting companies will also provide ample ftp space with good bandwidth and such. Dreamhost is probably the best of these, with 200gb of storage and 2tb of bandwidth for ~10$ a month.
Finally, if you want to really do a dedicated ftp server on the cheap, I would reccomend an old computer running some flavor of linux or bsd. The standard ftp server for linux is proFTPd and its not so hard to use. You can use ClarkConnect (http://www.clarkconnect.com/) to get an easy to setup and maintain ftp server (among many other useful features). Business licenses come on the cheap and you might be able to use the free community version, I'm not sure on their licensing scheme.

Problem...urgent solution needed

The problem is... table A and table B are related with B as parent table and A child. The value of id (primary key) of table B needs to be populated with the column Bid when the following where condition satisfies.
A.x=B.x and A.y=B.y and A.z=B.z for every value of A
My problem is to create either a procedure, a function or a package which populates the value of B.id in table A with the above where condition for id value of A
I created a function which gives me the return value of Bid but unable to update the table as several ids of table A have the same value of Bid.
select A.id into bid from A,B where A.x=B.x and A.y=B.y and A.z=B.z;
return bid;
but in the same function I am unable to update
update A set bid=bid;
taking the return value from the function. I am unable to understand why? I am pretty weak in pl/sql kindly help me if am making some mistake. I NEED HELP FAST...THANKS IN ADVANCE

1)by putting just the update statement in the function. it gave an error which says
4/1 PL/SQL: SQL Statement ignored
5/23 PL/SQL: ORA-00925: missing INTO keyword
2) I tried my another function where i retrieve the value of

in the second instance, the retrieval of bid works fine but the update is ignored. please suggest. I also want to mention that for every value of a.id there are more than one values of bid. so the update will return more than one rows. kindly help.
