2 Web Servers on one Business Hub?

We had a two-wire hub and we've just moved to new offices and have a new BT Business Hub 3.  We have five static IP addresses and we have two servers on the end of it. I have one server running on a static IP via port forwarding and the web site (Sharpoint 2007 on port 80 IIS Windows 2008) is available from the internet. However, I want to run the other site (Sharepoint 2010 on port 80 IIS Windows 2008) on a static IP address as well. I cannot find ANY way of making port forwarding send traffic bound for port 80 to the correct server based on the incoming static IP address; I can see how to forward all traffic destined for port 80 to ONE server but not to have two servers on fixed IP on port 80 only get their own connections.  Does this help?
Server A : Sharepoint 2007 - Website (machine has two network cards, one public/one private) - delivering site over internet no problem.
Server B: Sharepoint 2010 - Website (machine has two network cards, one public/one private) - cannot see how to send traffic bound for port 80 to this machine. If I change IIS port to 8080 then it works fine - but I want / need to use port 80.
We had an old Voyager which could do this sort of stuff but had no wireless. They sent us a 2-wire hub but were told it can't do this. Then I was told the business hub 3 would do it "no problems" - some help would be appreciated before I throw my toys out of the pram at BT....
Thanks in anticipation!

I think you'd be better at the BT Business forum.

  • More than one web link in a Business Event

    Hi SAP experts,
Having created a web link in a business event I was very pleased with myself. Now I find that I would like to add up to two more (different) web links for the same Business Event. There does not seem to be an obvious option to do this. I have tried the route of Create->Create Attachment and Create->Create External Document. These actions subsequently apear in the Attachments List but are not visible to users in the Employee Self Service.
The SAP manual hints that more than one web link should be possible (it refers to 'web links' several times). However in the manual I have, there is no guidance on how to make multiple web links in a Business Event.
Is it possible? What's happening with the 'Attachments' that have been created? Should all the desired documents to be viewed be bundled into one document and then given the one, allowable web link? Is this the thickest question asked on this forum?
Many thanks for any guidance you may be able to offer.

Could you summarise how you did that so it's clear what you mean by this?

  • Calling one business role from another business role on CRM web client

    Hi,
I have a requirement where, one business role can be launched just by click a navigation link on another.,
For eg. in a UTIL_IC role frame work , I add a link by clicking on it, I go to UITIL_SALES role.
This is required so that person need to launch crm_ui_frame again if he wants to login for another business role assigned to him..
Please suggest the solution if possible for this one.

  • Secure and non-secure access to the web application in one war

Say we have one web application (in one war) which includes JSP, servlets and the security intercepter. There is one business requirement to have most of the JSP(s) accessed via HTTPS, but a few JSP(S) accessed via HTTP.
    My questions are:
    a. Is this possible, or a reasonable requirement or a good practice?
    b. if yes, what can we do to make it happen in the security intercepter implementation?
    c. If not, what is the technical reasons?
    Thanks much.

    a) Yes its is reasonable and good practive, there is an overhead using https, so you should only encrypt file you need to. When you use an online store, only account details / payments are https, the shop itself is http
    b) I dont really understand your difficulty. You can define a folder as 'secure' and put all your secure pages in this folder, leaving non secure files in a different folder. Whenever a page in the secure folder is accessed, https is automatically invoked.

  • Migrating a webi report from one environment to another using import wizard

    Hi Everyone,
Can anyone please tell me what all access should I have on my ID to be able to migrate a webi report from one environment to another environment(e.g. from development to quality).
    Regards,
    Neeraj Sharma

    Hi,
To use the Import Wizard utility, you basically need Administrator, Full Control to Top-level folder, and "Add objects to the folder" and "Edit objects" for this user on the root folder.
You need the least restrictive role, because you require absolute control for content promotion between 2 entitlement systems.
the webi document is the cherry on-top,  you;ll have universes, connections, folders to bring over too.

  • Two web servers cant use same port forwarding rule???

I have two web servers, each configured to respond to http reqests on port 80.  I use NoIP service to map a domain name to my router. I create a port forwarding assignment for Server A by selecting the WebServer rule in the port forwarding rule table.  All is fine.  For Server B, I select the same Webserver rule and the router says there is a conflict.
I don't understand why.  I think the router has enough information to route a http request for Server B by knowing its MAC address, which is different than Server A MAC address.
    What am I missing here???
I was able to do this on my previous router with DD-WRT.....
So it would appear the way to resolve this is to assign a different port address to Server B???
    grrrrrrrrrr I hate this router

You shouldn't have been able to do that on any router.  You have to change the listening port of server 2, to 8080 or something like that, or make one a secure server and run it over 443
That is a known issue with port forwarding
    Problem #8:
    Same Port in Multiple Rules
There are some routers such as Linksys, D-Link and many others that do not do any checks if a port is already in another port forwarding rule. A port can only be forwarded to one Computer/IP at a time. So when there are multiples of the same port number the port forwarding rule will not work.
    Here is an example.
As you can see port 2350 is in 2 rules. The 1st one points to a different IP than that of the 2nd rule. So the router will honor the 1st rule and the 2nd port forwarding rule to port 2350 fails.
By removing the 1st rule the 2nd one will now work.

  • CF Licensing on two front end web servers

I'm currently running CF 9 Standard on a since server that runs as my web and db server.  I use Rackspace Cloud btw.
I've been thinking about changing my infrustructure around so it would look like this:
    - 1 Load Balancer
    - 2 Web Servers
    - 1 Database Server
My question is about licensing on the 2 web servers.
    - Is it possible to use a single CF Standard license to cover both web servers (since they are just syncing each other, they are basically the same server but split into two separate virtual machines), or would I need to purchase 2 individual licenses to make this work?
Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks!

    Thanks vishu,
I can read the license agreement, but it's the interpretation of legal wording that I'm having troubles with.  Basically, I'm looking for a real world YES or NO to my question.  I'm sure others have had this question, that's why I came to this forum.

  • 2 Logical Host, 2 Web Servers, Big Problem?

I am setting up a sun HA cluster using 2 E4500 servers. I have created 2 logical hosts, each one needs to host a Netscape iPlanet 4.0 web server sitting at port 80. Each logical host is serving up web applications for different clients.
If I need to fail over one of the logical hosts so that they are both running on the same system, the newly imported instance of the web server will fail because port 80 is already in use by the logical host that is on that physical host.
At first this seemed totally wrong. Each logical host should be able to run applications on any port they need to. Then someone who has a lot more time on Solaris told me that this was not the case, and each logical host had to steer clear of using the same ports as other logical hosts in the same cluster.
Can someone clue me into what is reality?
Any good documentation that tells how to set this stuff up?
    Thanks!
    Bruce

    Hi,
The best way to resolve this would be to try implementing the same.
Instead of going through an entire cluster install/configuration
process, you may want to try setting up two different web servers
on a single node. You may want to set up a virtual interface (like
le0:1, hme0:1 etc) for this. You coud then try connecting to
individual web servers on port 80. If this works, then the two
webserver/two node cluster implementation should also work.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Gopinath.

  • Use WLS 8.1 to HttpProxyServlet to multiple web servers

I am trying to set up an environment so my client connects to the WLS server SSL&PKI. The WLS server will then proxy to multiple other web servers so all data returned between WLS and clint is SSL.
                        -------|        |-----|-------------| apache/tomcat 8880
              Client|---------| WLS |
              -------|        |-----|-------------| apache 3443
Here is the problem, I have been successful getting SSL&PKI and proxying to one to work, but not both servers. Each server runs different web server functions, this is not a cluster.
              web.xml and weblogic.xml below
              If I go to https://<WLSserver>:7002/cgi-bin
It always goes to the second server, it seems as soon as I map a <url-pattern>/</url-pattern> whichever servlet is defined last wins.
As added note, the client will never be able to connect to the apache and apache/tomcat server directly because the ports are blocked at the router level.
Is what I trying to do possible? Is there another way to proxy to multiple servers so the data back to the client is always SSL?
              Thanks

I was still investigating. One suggestion is to run multiple server instances, each with its own <conxext-root>/</context-root> in weblogic.xml. This should work because each managed server runs in its own JVM, so you can have multiple context-root's set to /
I tried marking the case a answered but get javax exceptions, there must be something going on with the forum pages.

  • Two licence servers in one environment

    Hi,
Is it possible to install two licence servers in one environment and point some of the users to one licence server and others to another. Is there where i can change on the local PC to point to a licence server.
My assumption is that it is stored centrally as i tried to change it on one user PC and all were changed to the same server. Is my assumption correct or how can this be achieved.
Thank you in advance and your help is appreciated.

    Hi,
The SAP Business One workstations read the name of the license service to which they connect from the SLIC table in the SBO-Common database. All Company databases sharing an SBO-Common database use the same license file. In addition, several SBO-Common databases can direct to the same license service.

  • Using Netgear Access Point with Business Hub

    Dear all,
I am trying to set up a wireless network and am using a BT Business Hub 3.0 as the router + wireless transmitter in one area and a Netgear WG602 v.4 Access Point in another area of my home.
The Business Hub and the Netgear are connected via wire (Ethernet cable), with the Netgears purpose being to boost/relay a wireless connection to an area of my home which the Business Hub wireless signal cannot reach.
I am however having trouble connecting the two devices. Ideally I would like the Netgear to be configured so that computers connected to the Business Hub seamlessly connect to the Netgear when its signal strength is strongest without the need to enter a separate wireless key.
Hopefully that is clear however if anyone needs anything clarifying please don't hesitate to ask.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    andicd

    Thanks,
But the two units arn't plug and play are they? How do I go about paring the two units? I have accessed the Netgears IP settings, do these need to be changed in order to make it compatible to my network?
    I am following this guide - http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/WG602v4_IG_04June07.pdf
I am currently at 2b however am unsure what these settings for my network should be.

  • Multiple Web Services in one Jdeveloper project

    Hi all,
I'm currently trying to implement a series of web services, all relating to one application. I'm using the top-down approach, where I generate the web service from a WSDL file, and add my implementation to the generated classes. The WSDL file imports all sorts of XML Schemas (xsd-files) and Jdeveloper correctly generates all the necessary java-classes for me. Lets call the first web service I create WS-1.
This all works fine and I'm a happy panda. I can call the web service, it works, I can modif the wsdl and regenerate the web service to e.g. change the input etc. All this works.
Just until the point where I want to create a second web service (lets call this WS-2). This new web service doesn't use all the XML Schemas that the first web service does, it is more simple with regards to in-/output. The problem arises when I modify WS-2 and Jdeveloper regenerates the Web service files (.java and the files in the WEB-INF/wsdl-directory). When I do this, it deletes the imported xsd-files that WS-1 uses (removes them from WEB-INF/wsdl).
And when I regenerate WS-1 to get my xsd-files in again, then when I regenerate WS-2 it imports all the unnecessary xsd-files into the wsdl for WS-2.
Something tells me, that there is a connection or shared library between all web services in one Jdeveloper project. That they all imports and uses the xsd-files in WEB-INF/wsdl.
Is this true? Can't I have multiple web services (and wsdl-files) using different types (schema definitions) in the the same Jdeveloper project?
One solution I can think of, is to have all my web services in different projects under the same application. But is this really necessary?
    I'm using Jdeveloper 10.1.3.3.0.

    Hi,
pure from a coder instinct I think I would prefer them to be in separate projects for better reuse and clean separation. If I need project 1 to access aclass from Project 2, I can check the dependency check box in the project properties. Is there any business requirement that makes you think having all of these in a single project will help ?
    Frank
Btw.: I agree that JDeveloper shouldn't constraint developers from doing what they want and if this is a limitation the feel free to file a bug

  • Ports required for communication between Web servers and service applications (the default is HTTP)

We're using SharePoint 2010, I'm the system admin for a SharePoint farm. We enabled SharePoint Search by adding a Search Service APplication. One of the crawl report timer job is failing every 5 minte with the error "Cannot connect to remote server".
After digging around, we found that the server running the timer job tries to connect to the SearchAdmin.svc on the index server, over HTTPS / port 32844 However, communication over SSL via a non default port is blocked by our firewall.
According to this article: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262849.aspx the default is HTTP for communication
between web servers. How is it possible that it's trying to connect over SSL?

    Hi,
    Quoted from
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262849.aspx#ServiceApp :
You can change the protocol and port binding for each service application. On the Service Applications page in Central Administration, select the service application, and then click
    Publish.

  • Load balancing across 4 web servers in same datacentre - advice please

    Hi All
Im looking for some advice please
The apps team have asked me about load balancing across some servers but im not that well up on it for applications
Basically we have 4 apache web servers with about 2000 clients connecting to them, they would like to load balance connections to all these servers, they all need the same DNS name etc.
what load balancing methods would I need for this, I believe they run on Linux
Would I need some sort of device, or can the servers run some software that can do this, how would it work? and how would load balancing be achieved here?
    cheers

    Carl,
What you have mentioned sounds very straightforward then everything should go well.
The ACE is a load balancer which takes a load balancing decisions based on different matching methods like matching virtual address, url, source address, etc then once the load balance decision has been taken then the ACE will load balance the traffic based on the load balance method which you have configured (if you do not configure anything then it will use the default which is "round robin"), then it will send the traffic to the servers which it has available and finally the client should get the content.
If you want to get some details about the load balancing methods here you have them:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/app_ntwk_services/data_center_app_services/ace_appliances/vA3_1_0/configuration/slb/guide/overview.html#wp1000976
For ACE deployments the most common designs are the following.
    Bridge Mode
    One Arm Mode
    Routed Mode
Here you have a link for Bridge Mode and a sample for that:
    http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Basic_Load_Balancing_Using_Bridged_Mode_on_the_Cisco_Application_Control_Engine_Configuration_Example
Here you have a link for One Arm Mode and a sample for that:
    http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Basic_Load_Balancing_Using_One_Arm_Mode_with_Source_NAT_on_the_Cisco_Application_Control_Engine_Configuration_Example
Here you have a link for Routed Mode and a sample for that:
    http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Basic_Load_Balancing_Using_Routed_Mode_on_the_Cisco_Application_Control_Engine_Configuration_Example
Then as you could see in all those links you may end up having a configuration like this:
    interface vlan 40
description "Default gateway of real servers"
      ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0
      service-policy input remote-access
      no shutdown
    ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 172.16.1.1
    class-map match-all slb-vip
      2 match virtual-address 172.16.1.100 any
    policy-map multi-match client-vips
      class slb-vip
        loadbalance vip inservice
        loadbalance policy slb
policy-map type loadbalance http first-match slb
      class class-default

  • Load balancing web servers

I have a CSS 11501. I have the ethernet management port on 192.168.0.X /24. I have two services set up one being 209.172.1XX.X51 and the other being 209.172.1XX.X52. I have the VIP set to be 209.172.1XX.X53. I have the 2 web server plugged into e7 and e8. Then I have a straight ethernet cable that goes from e6 to my gigabit switch. All of these interfaces are on the same VLAN. Is that correct?
What is IP interface for a circuit and what relation does it have with the VIP?
My problem over all is, I can't access my VIP from an external location. I can only access the VIP from a computer with the same 209.172.1XX.XXX address, but i can access the web servers separately from the outside, just not the VIP.
My Ip interface for the circuit is completely different from my VIP and my services, is that correct? The status is says "no circuit"
Why cant the outside world access the VIP but they can access the individual IPs of the web servers?

the e6,e7 and e8 interfaces would all go in the same vlan.
Under your circuit vlan, you need an ip address that will belong to the same subnet as your servers.
You need an ip address on the circuit, for the probes, and also to configure a default gateway.
Because you also need a default gateway if you want to connect from a remote subnet.
    Gilles.
