2 weeks of bad connection and latency troubles gen...

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, it was in the connection issues one but I was advised I would get better help here
As I said I have been suffering with this problem now for over 2 weeks and its driving me mad! I'm not very tech savvy so forgive me if this isn't explained as well as it could be.....
So I have the white openreach modem and a black home hub, the hub has 3 solid blue lights constantly and the lights on the white box are solid too apart from a little bit of flashing from the dsl light... My issue is with my connection, its a very strange problem as the lights dont change which would tell me that the connection isnt dropping...but websites freeze up and have to be refreshed quite a lot to make them display, streaming is a joke and I struggle with the on demand on my bt vision too. I also play world of warcraft and have been able to log on about 4 times since this issue started and while logged on ms was over 8k! Usually though I cant log on full stop as it gets stuck on the "success" message or just simply wont open the launcher at all telling me it has failed to obtain patching information...I'm really mad about it as I pay a lot of money for Infinity and technical support on the phones keep fobbing me off cos they dont know whats wrong! Can anyone here offer any words of wisdom?

Its also him hosting the terraria server where its really bad. It has been like this for other games too though and I have tried many solutions. I feel like maybe its a bandwith thing but i get over 100 mbs download speed and around 15 mps upload speed and low ping. I can also download 2 games and play a online game with 0 problems but once skype is involved it becomes terrible.I really would like a fix, I have used skype forever and I dont think my friends really wanna use anything else.I got windows 10 about a week ago, the beta, but it did it on windows 7 too.I have also tried downloading older skypes but it keeps downloading the newer one automatically even with automatic updates off.Also when I lag on skype the little refreshing/connecting icons comes up and I lag to my friends, but I never hear them lag.

    If you are swapping out operating systems and nothing is changing then the variables you need to look into are: 1,  Your wired/wireless connection.  Try wired if going wireless as you may have issues sustaining a good connection with the myriad of ports Skype uses.  This can be due to distance, interference or other factors. 2,  Try bypassing your router and go directly connected to your modem (if possible).  Issues with the router firmware, its configuration or the limitations of the  router itself could be causing bandwidth related issue.  Going wired to the modem would be ideal.  3. You can try disabling/enabling uPnP in your router to see if that makes a difference.  Some routers handle uPnP well, others have performance issues with it.  4  Cable modem/Line issues -  You could have stability issues due to the quality of the modem based off standard/tier.  You could have line conditions that affect upload/download stability or both, under load. I've had issues with Skype that were related to my wireless router firmware.  I've also had to swap out my modem to a more compatible and higher tier one (twice) when my ISP performed infrastructure changes.

  • PI21AG bad connection and no 'a' radios?

    I installed a new card into a computer this morning and it was connecting fine. When I go back in to look at it and fire up the site survey utility, it doesn't see any of the 802.11a interfaces on my access points. Is there something potentially wrong with this card, I made sure that the options were enabled in the ADU? I am trying to ping the card from my switch and the success rate is about 80%. I can ping 3 other clients on this AP/ssid at 99-100%. I had my laptop right next it (using a CB21AG) and the 11a interfaces were present. thanks, dave

    some more information - I just spoke with the user of this card, and due to the terrible connection I had them switch over to a wpa-psk (originally connected to an EAP-TLS) ssid. The connection on this one is stable. Most of the pings are coming back at <= 1ms, with about every 7th coming in at 35ms or 40ms. This card has the latest drivers as well. If I can dig up another one of these cards I will try swapping and see what happens. dave

  • After updating to ios7 my 4S keeps dropping calls and having a bad connection?

    I recently received a refurbished "like new" 4S from Verizon, which was working fine until I did the ios7 update.  I did a network reset and that didn't help, and then I did a hard reset and still the same problem.  Is this a phone issue? or a Verizon issue? I've heard of other Verizon customers having the same problem.  Everytime I make a phone call I have bad connection and then the call just drops.  In places, I used to have a 5 bar signal, I now have 2. What else can I do to fix this?

    I have some verification regarding multipool connection in weblogic 8.1 sp5:
    I configure my mulitpool to work with the following pools:
    Pool1 Pool1_xa these pools are working with the primary instance.
    Pool2 Pool2_xa these pools are working with the secondary instance.
    Also I have the following configuration setting for all the pools:
    Test Frequency=60 sec
    Test Reserved Connections=true
    HealthCheckFrequencySeconds=240 sec
    Test table name :Dual
    Init capacity=max capacity=50
    I want to confirm the following points:
    1-In case I don’t have any transactions and primary instance is down,the weblogic will perform test each Test Frequency seconds to Pool1 and Pool1_xa ,is the test will be done to each connection in the pool and if the test for each connection is failed then weblogic try to create new one and if it failed then it will be removed from the pool. Is that right that this process will happen 50 times for Pool1 and Pool1_xa and after this the number of connection in both pools will be zero.?
    2- Suppose now I have just xa transacrions ,weblogic still test Pool1 each 60 seconds and because of Test Reserved Connections=true then each time an application ask for connection from the Pool1_xa it will be tested my question is if
    The test of one connection from Pool1_xa failed is the weblogic will try to create new one and if it failed it will remove it from the pool and try another connection from Pool1_xa until it test the 50 connection and remove all of them from the pool is then the weblogic perform failover operation.
    3-in case weblogic define Pool1_xa and Pool1 as bad or disable and routing all the connections to work with Pool2_xa then each HealthCheckFrequencySeconds the weblogic will test Pool1 and Pool1_xa,is the test will be try to create one connection

    4-in case the primary instance come up and weblogic perform failback operation and all my transaction is xa then the webogic

    Connection in Pool1 is the weblogic will perform failover and start to work with Pool2 .

    2 - no. One request will cloes 1 bad connection, and try once to replace it.
    3 - If a multipool disables a pool, then (for 81sp5) the multipool will try periodically
    to restore/reconnect the disabled pool. If a pool is disabled, that turns off it's
    testing inactive connections.

  • I have an IPA2 wifi 3g working fine with wifi up for 3 monthes then from two weeks it get connection but after 1 minutes stop to serf/download with signal and connection always present. With the same router are still connected others 3 pc working!

    I all, 
    the scenario is the following:
    WIFI connection with TISCALI operator. Encryption made by WPA2 EAS with router SITECOM or tested also with another router DIGICOM with WPA TPK.
    From December up to end of March the IPAD2 working perfectly serfing and downloading.
    By two weeks it has a very strange behavour without have changed any configuration on IPAD or network: 
    with WIFI turned on it discover about 4 different ntw among them the mine, I successfully authenticate with psw the my ntw,
    the IPAD2 start to run with Safari without problems, but after about 1 minutes, it stop to serf or download and answer that the Server cannot be reached or the page cannot be open, at the same time the signal is present on the icon of WIFI and it is strong.
    This problem is systematic: If I dissasociate the ntw and then authenticate again I start to serf again for 1 minutes (more or less) and then it stops again, this occurs every time I authenticate the ntw after a disassociation.
    I made some test changing the encryption from WPA2, WPA and also without encryption but the result was always the same, after about one minute the server seems to be for the IPAD2 no more reachable while the others PC and netbook connected to the same router continue to serf/download without problems!
    I also tried to change the router with a DIGCOM that I did not use generally, but the behavour is always the same.
    Since the IOS was the 4.3 revisin, I made the upgrade by means Itunes to IOS 5.1 succesfully installed.
    But unfortunatelly all test repeted have had the same negative result with the same behavour!
    Yesterday I tried to do the complete restore of the System but the tests had the same rsult. 
    I really don't know how to proceed, the problem started suddenly without any action from my side....is there someone that can help me?

    Additional things to try.
    Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

    If no change after restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup, there is a hardware problem.

    I myself, two days ago purchased a  2nd hand iPhone 5 that was advertised as having a line of squares at the bottom of the screen. I Googled it and found people saying it was a screen issue and to replace the screen, so I did this and it is still happening with a new screen.
    I am starting to dislike Apple intensely after reading forum posts and watching videos where people are asking for help and telling us about issues that they are having with their phones.
    Why is Apple getting it so wrong with their updates and manufacturing that they are completely destroying iPhones that cost a lot of money and then expecting the owner to purchase another phone unless they are still in warranty.
    Apple you should be going out of your way to put things right for people but instead there is a wall of silence over so many of the issues destroying peoples phones.

    As the title states, I am having trouble opening connections and reading data from a Bluetooth device. We are using a PDA to communicate with LabVIEW. First, the Bluetooth Open Connection VI displays a timeout error half of the time. Second, when it does open, it does not read what the PDA is sending. Third, if it does allow an open connection, it will not do it a second time unless the devices are turned off.
    I also have another related question. I am using a Linksys Bluetooth USB adapter, and the driver is proprietary. Labview requires the use of a Microsoft driver, and we are having problems going back and forth between the drivers. What Bluetooth receiver would you suggest using? The reason I ask is the fact that you have Bluetooth examples of client VI's. Therefore, you must use a similar device. Thank you for your time.

    I'm not sure what Bluetooth receivers were used to verify the functionality of the VIs. However, I still want to help you solve your issue. Please make sure that you are running the shipping examples and let me know what version of LabVIEW, what PC OS and what PDA OS you are using. Does the Microsoft driver work for your Bluetooth receiver if you uninstall the Linksys driver?

    Check Settings>General>Date & Time>Set Automatically>On. Make sure that the time zone setting is also set correctly.
    If that didn't solve the problem, restart your iPad and try again. If that fails, reset your iPad and try again.
    Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
