2 workbooks for a single query r not coming in portal.

hi experts... first of all i donno whether this question belong to bex side or portal side...
my problem is:
i have single query with 10 workbooks.
i need to embed these workbooks in our
portal(bw report iview).
my requirement is to supply URLs for all of these workbooks to portal team, so as to enable them to embed workbooks...
while im trying to generate URLs for all workbooks,
it is just generating only one same URL for all workbooks.
i found that we can generate URL only to query default view, from our BEx side..
anybody can help me that how to generate different URLs for different workbooks based on a single query.
this is not a portal issue...
i shud supply proper URLs for each workbook.
hope i can get a solution from experts...

ABAP Query change not coming while execute corresponding T.code

Hi gurus
I added some values(country field) in existing ABAP query in development server using sq01 . Now the changes were not coming (in the selection screen for field selection) while running the query using corresponding Z T.code. In SE93 it shows START REPORT as report name. Can anyone guide me how to change an existing query and how to transport it properly into production server.

Bex Query is not working in portal

Dear Experts,
i have uploaded BI master role into portal, By default Bex Queries are assgined to Master Role. when I clcik on preview for particular Bex Query, it's working fine. but after assigning the master role to end user, that same Bex Query is not working. it's showing Below error..
Portal runtime error.
An exception occurred while processing your request. Send the exception ID to your portal administrator.

Refer to the log file for details about this exception.
please give me suggetions...

Can you please check the logs for details - http(s):<host>:<port>/nwa . This may be a permissions issue . Check if the iview has read permission for everyone group and then test . Also post the error details here .

Notification not coming in Portal

I am facing a strange problem. In my workflow, there are few mail steps, and all are working well except one. In this, I've used a Position to send mail. Mail goes in the backend SAP Inbox, and when i open the user in Portal, it is not seen in his portal inbox. I tried putting other position no, also tried other user name (US)...but the mail is just not reaching the portal. Looked for posts in SDN but couldn't find any specific to my issue. Any little help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

To get the text mail in Portal you have to use SONiC (SAP Office Notification Connector).

Query Results not coming for SELECT * in sql developer 3.1.07

VERY FRUSTRATING to use sql developer.
In SQL DEVELOPER 3.1.07:
WHAT WORKS: select sequence# from v$archived_log
WHAT DOESN'T WORK : select * from v$archived_log
You've got to be kidding me.
I wish I can show a screenshot, but can't in this forum. Here's my description:
When I run the query, in the bottom frame for Query Results, it just says: Executing: select * from v$archived_log in 0 seconds.
Then there's no result grid.

Is this a 'manual' standby db? Are you using Data Guard?
Post the results for what Gary ask of running the queries in sql*plus. If those queries give the same result then this is NOT a sql developer issue.
Review the following thread and post back with what information in it applies to your use case.

Dynamic rendering of date intervals for a single query

Hi,
I am new to BW so I am not sure if this is even possible, or if there is a better way to do this.
I am trying to build a query in the Query Designer to basically display sales data for a Business Partner where a user is able to select a date range (max of 12 months) .
The tricky part is to show the sales data broken down by month.
In addition the number of months to be displayed is based on the number of months in the date range inputed by the user. (Basically dynamically displaying the number of months)
Example
1. A user inputs a start date and end date, via a date interval variable. Assuming the inputs are Feb 1 2006 to June 1 2006
2. Based on the dates, when the query is run, the results should display sales data for Business Partner ABC Corp for 5 months beginning Feb 1 2006.
3. The end result of the report should look something like this.
========   Feb          March          April           May         June
ABC Corp          11.00        22.00         33.00         15.00         77.00
4. Now the same user inputs a different set of dates , say Mar 1 2006 to May 1 2006.
    The result should display this.

ABC Corp          22.00         33.00         15.00

Defaults value for JMOP , JAOP & JSOP is not coming in MIGO

Hello Experts,
If I maintianed condition type JMOP, JAOP, JSOP in SPRO - Maintain Exise Default. Then value comes default in MIGO at the time GR then Part 1, Part 2 also updated But Tax is not calculated in MIRO. I used TAXINN procedure.

Make sure that you have to check following few points.
1) All condition records for JMOP,JEC1,JSEP and their respective set off JMX1, JEX1, JHX1 are correctly maintained.
2) Then this tax code should be maintained to company code in SPRO- Logistics General- Tax on goods Movements- Basic settings- Determination Of Excise Duty- Condition Based Excise Determination- Assign Tax code to Company code
3) Then in that same path SPRO- Logistics General- Tax on goods Movements- Basic settings- Determination Of Excise Duty- Condition Based Excise Determination- Classify condition types . Assign all condition types to TAXINN .This is important from the point of view of TAXINN .
For TAXINN maintaining excise default carries no significance except CVD condition types.
4) One more thing in excise PART II entry is everything fine . Else check SPRO- Logistics General- Tax on goods Movements- Account determination - Specify Excise Accounts per excise transactions . There you check all credit , debit conditions against GRPO excise tranaction types.
Revert back if issue is still not solved ..

BW QUERY IS NOT RUNNING IN PORTAL

Hi Experts,
I am having BW Netweaver 7.0 (ABAPJAVA) which is installed on Windowsoracle.
I am trying to design BW queries in WAD and try to execute them in the Internet explorer. But Its not supporting.
Is there any separate Post mannual settings to be done to execute BW queries on browser.if yes kindly give the links to documents to peform the settings.

Print out in MB90 for GRN is not coming in English

While taking the print out in MB90 for GRN document, it is not coming in English.It is coming in some unreadableformat.
In MN21 I have mentioned the language as EN.
In the configuration of output type WE03 I have mentioned the language as EN intransaction code M706.

How can I add the logo image for a single item in an RSS feed?

Hello,
I am an administrator of iTunes U at the University of Minnesota.
Before transitioning new public site, we are trying to figure out how to put a logo image into RSS feeds.
We use our server to makes xml codes to create RSS feeds for podcasts.
We successfully put a logo image for a collection in a RSS feed, but putting a logo image for a single item did not work.
Below is the part of the xml code for the logo image for a single item, which is created by our server. I deleted other parts of xml code for your convenience.

before we included the audio files, we added the images in iTunes.
Select the file, then go to File>Get Info, here you can add metadata, and in Artwork add an image.
Then upload this file to your server. Works for audio files anyways.
You don't see the image in the web podcast, but you do in iTunes after you download each item, in "Show item artwork" in lower left. Click on the image and it zooms out.

Manage Devices url not coming up on clients

After configuring OS X server. I try to access the URL for enrollment, the site will not coming up. Say cannot connect to server. Anyone have this issue?

Please launch the Applications > Utilities > Terminal.app tool on the server and issue the following non-disruptive diagnostic command:
sudo changeip -checkhostname
The output from this command will provide some information on the host name and network, and then whether DNS is correctly configured or has issues. If your DNS has issues, you'll need to address those before working with the web server or any other services; OS X Server (and other servers) tend to get wonky when DNS isn't working.
With a server, you'll want to have a real and registered domain. If you don't have that, then a bogus name can be used — that's not something I generally recommend, but it does work for folks just getting started — and you'll want to avoid using .local domains for your DNS, or any domain names you don't have permission to use.
Your client(s) will also need to be using your DNS server(s) on your LAN for host translations, and not sending DNS translation requests directly to your ISP or other off-LAN DNS servers.
