Hello My wife and I were considering upgrading 2 ipod videos we have to itouches. My question is like with my 2 videos anything we download can be synced to both ipods. Is this still true with the itouch and is it also with the itouch updates or would i need to pay 9.99 two times to upgrade their versions. Thanks!

Heh, Im having my own problem with that though, I just bought one of the previous to the new generation of Touch's. 8gig. It came with some kind've old software, and i happened to have a $20 gift card for itunes sitting around. I typed it in, Shows i have $20 in the account but im unable to buy the 2.1 software without entering credit card information. Anyone got tips around this or do i need a credit card for it hands down.

How do I maintain a single iTunes library for two separate iMac user accounts?...without having to manually do something every download?

Pardon me, I am brand new at using an iMac. I understand the concept but I don't know exactly how to "move" the library. I found a shared folder under users on the hard drive. If I move it, won't I have to redirect each iTunes user to the new shared location?
If I point iTunes to anything other than the music folder under that user name, it shows as a "shared library". Preferences still shows it as that users library, regardless of where the advanced gear button says it is pointing to.
Am I asking for too much to have each user control the exact same music files, apps and playlists? I just want the two different itunes sessions to mirror each other without any frequent updating or copying.
We use the same id for itunes music and apps so we could just sync all devices under one iMac user id and not use it under hers.

I'm looking to purchase an external hard drive to use as with time machine as a backup for two separate computers. I'm not sure if I should buy 2 EHDs and dedicate one to each computer, or if Time Machine has the capacity to back up both computers separately. Anyone have any experience with this?

You can make two partitions on a single drive and dedicate one to each computer.

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

the inbox in my ipad Yahoo mail account has not updated for two days, it keeps continually checking for mail but nothing comes in! It is working fine on my iPhone! I'm not terribly technically minded so just wondered if anyone had any ideas??

Try deleting the account and readding it. Yahoo is doing things to their servers and it mucks up your mail app. Sometimes it resolves on its own, other times you can fix it by deleting and readding.

How can I enable Facetime for two different iTouch (4 gen) using the same Apple ID?

I would like to have each of them have their own distinct email address so I can Facetime them seperately, is this possible? I have two new iTouches for each of my kids, and I want to use one Apple ID so we can all share the same music. they have their own email accounts, but I would like to know if I can assign each of the iTouch with a different email address so I can facetime my kids using their distinct email address. It is possible to use one Apple ID with Face Time and Messages by adding email addresses and setting the "you can be reached at" and "Start a new conversation from" in the settings for each device. This method does not work well though.
Your best option is to set each kid up with there own iCloud/Apple iTunes Store account (Apple ID) using their own email address. Then on each device set the iCloud Settings on each device to their specific Apple ID. Set the iTunes & Apps Store settings to use the main Apple ID for store purchases. With this setup each user will have their own distinct iCloud account which will not interferer with the others yet still make purchases from the main one.

Can I use one Adobe ID for two separate CC Teams?

I recently got a new job, and am still doing freelance work for my past employer, who will continue to keep me as a seat in their CC membership (CC for Teams).
At my new job, they are in the process of switching over to CC. Will I have to obtain another adobe ID to be a member of their team membership, or can I use the same one that I use for my previous job?

Using two wireless routers for two separate networks

I have one WRT54G router and a newly purchased E2000 router that replaced the WRT54G . I have one DSL connection coming into the house.
I have the DSL going directly into my main E2000 router which runs my existing wireless home network and it does this wonderfully. My son wanted the older WRT54G router to create his own network where he has it set up for his own purposes so I gave it to him. He has everything set up to where we have two functioning networks that do not conflict which is great however he ran an Ethernet cable from the e2000 to the WRT54G to make this happen. This cable is a problem since it basically is about 50 feet of ugly cable running up my stairs to his room. Is there a way to have the routers still work in tandem as they are now to manage two separate networks but to instead have them connected wirelessly and eliminate the existing wired setup?

You would need a third party firmware like DDWRT to do that (it will void the warranty too)
Or you need a wireless bridge like the WET54G or WAP54G set to bridged mode

IWeb '09 and creating an "Index" page for two separate sides of my website

I'm redesigning my website with iWeb '09 seeing that I've recently switched to Mac from being a life-long PC/Windows user. I'm not too web programming savvy so iWeb fits my needs as a very good program that redesigns my site very nicely (and quite inexpensively, as well).
My current incarnation of my website (http://www.jeffreykern.com) was designed by a professional web designer on Dreamweaver for PC a couple of years ago. Some time ago when I was trying to update my PC with XP SP 3 (bad idea as it turned out), my connection to my web hosting service got completely fouled up and I lost the ability to update the site and haven't updated my site since. Knowing that I was going to be switching to Mac (with my new Mac Pro) I never had the desire, or energy, to patch things up to update my site with my PC. Plus, I was in need of a redesign so I eventually got my site ready to go with iWeb 09. That's where I stand right now...
So, as you can see on my current site I have a main index page that splits up into the two sides of my life: the triathlete side and the writer side. I've already redesigned both sides of my site with iWeb, I'm ready to update it thru my web hosting via FTP and Transmit 3, but I cannot find how to create a main "Index" page on iWeb that will let me branch off into two different directions. By having that "Index" page intact I will be able to keep my domain of jeffreykern.com as it currently stands. I don't mind having to get two different domains for each of my two sides of my site but would like to avoid that extra step -- if, at all, possible.

Building three websites on three separate domain files would be my choice.
Its important to realize that you cannot have a page called "index" using iWeb because the associated index.html file will conflict with the one that iWeb creates.
As has been suggested, the first site would be one page. The site name would be jeffreykern.
This site will publish as jeffreykern_files and an index.html file. Inside this folder is another index.html file. This is the one your domain name will be directed at if you don't need an RSS feed.
If your server allows it, create a root folder on it called "jeffreykern" and upload the contents of the local folder to this and ignore the separate index.html file. Note that I said contents and not the folder itself.
A lot of servers require that you upload to a pre existing folder. In this case you will have to upload the index.html file and the jeffreykern _files folder.
The two other sites are named and published as writer and triathlete. The external index files of these two sites are renamed writer.html and triathlete.html.
These two files and their corresponding folders are uploaded to your root folder on the server after adding tags and optimizing.......

Now you have a main (one page) site with two sub sites.
The domain name http://www.jeffreykern.com/ is directed at the index.html file so that when this is entered into the browser, the main page will appear.
The links to the two main sections, whether they be text and/or image, are created and selected as external hyperlinks.

Clicking these links will open the first page of their respective sites.
If you do the sensible thing and trash the iWeb default navigation to replace it with a custom one, you can include external hyperlinks to the landing page and the other site in this.
The website - iWeb for Musicians - is created like this and is built on 9 separate domain files for ease of updating and publishing. The whole site is tied together with a Main navigation to get to each section which has a Sub navigation to jump around that section.

APP for two separate plants for same vendor

I have one company code and two plants. These plants are created as different profit centers. These two plants have their own payment offices and bank accounts. Both of them are individually responsible for payment of their own invoices only.
Now they both procure from one vendor. Say vendor X. Vendor ledger is same. When I see vendor line item report (FBL1N), I can see 70 open line items (open invoices). 40 line items pertains to 1st plant and 30 line items 2nd plant.
Now 1st Plant wants to execute APP. Their requirement is that it should only pick invoices pertaining to their plant only. How its possible?.
Note: since number of invoices are more, mentioning individual invoices in exclusion is not possible.

Select document to change the assignment field in FBL1N through mass change update as PLANT1 for 40 line item and for 30 line items update PLANT2 in assignment.
In F110, select field Assignment and enter value PLANT1. system will pick up only PLANT1 invoices.
for future invoice you can update assignment field through validations, you have to check work around for validations

Can the same Apple TV be used for two separate TVs?

We just moved into a new house and need to know if our Apple TV can be used to stream content to the TV in the living room and the TV in the garage, or if we simply need to buy a second Apple TV.
The TV in the living room and the TV in the garage are both wired to the same Denon two-zone receiver. The living room is where we watch all of our TV and listen to most of our music. But the garage doubles as a home gym, so I'd like to be able to either watch videos like P90X and Insanity -- they're all in my iTunes library now -- or listen to music while I exercise. Perhaps this is possible due to the two-zone capacity of the receiver.
I don't need to be able to stream content to both places at the same time, by the way. This is just for the mornings when I want to work out. Right now, the Apple TV is connected to the back of the receiver in the GAME input and works beautifully in the living room. The TV in the garage is yet to be installed, although the wiring back to the original zone is already done. Again, all the speakers and wiring for both TVs will be in the same receiver.
Is the Apple TV capable of doing what we need it to do, or do we need to get another one?

I bet you are searching in the wrong forum for solution.
Since you have a receiver, witch is able to transmit two different signals to two different TVs (just the matter of switch - i suppose?), than, the media being sent from Apple TV just has to be redirected to the 'right' TV witchever you use at that moment.
Different story with the Audio. Dont know if you using the Speakers on the TV's or on separate Audio Systems.

Can I create two mail icons in the dock for two separate accounts?

I'm trying to set up two mail icons in the dock - one for my wife's e-mail, one for me - all under the administrator iMac log in. I'm trying to do this without her having to have a separate mac log in. Is this possible? If so, how do I duplicate the postage stamp mail icon and capability?

If there are two users on one Mac, the best approach is to have two user accounts, one for you and one for your wife.

The new user account will appear to be a whole different Mac, and she can set it up to her liking (different mouse settings, desktop background, Dock appearance, etc.) without affecting anything in your user account. If you enable Fast User Switching, both users can be logged in at the same time, and switch using the right corner of the Menu Bar.
With separate accounts, each persons instance of Mail will be their own and go to their email account.

SPNego - SETSPN with alias for two separate physical servers

We have a scenario where the client has a production server and a backup production server, and a single alias pointing to both (meaning - when the main production server fails, the requests are routed to the backup production server). We need to configure SPNego for these servers.
Lets say the alias name is pralias.company.com
and the main production host name is prod1.company.com
and the backup production host name is backprod.company.com
If I have to setspn to the production servers, can I use just one service user for all these three servers? My SETSPN commands would be:
SETSPN -A HTTP/pralias.company.com scv-j2e-user
SETSPN -A HTTP/prod1.company.com scv-j2e-user
SETSPN -A HTTP/backprod.company.com scv-j2e-user
In the above commands, I have the same service user for all three domain names. Would this work? Or would I need to have 3 separate service users?

That's a common scenario, e.g., to connect to a load-balancer, but also to be able to connect to the individual servers (in case you're investigating if a problem is server-specific).
See Note 1387370, which confirms that single service user can be used for multiple server names (or aliases).

AnyConnect: How do I safely use it for two separate VPN accounts?

Already have Cisco AnyConnect installed on my MacBookPRO and configured to access my workstation in my office.
Another organization wants me to use a VPN to its database. The IT guy from the second organization provided a URL from the organization to install Cisco AnyConnect for the organization's VPN>
I am afraid to allow this second install of Cisco AnyConnect
Will it overwrite the setting , setup for my employment related connection?
AnyConnect ,when I launch it shows the vpn address for my employer.
If have not found anywhere in the preferences where I could list a second vpn address.
I made a copy of the Cisco AnyConnect application I have installed on my Mac .
But when I launch it, my work related VPN address shows up so clearly there is one preference somewhere in my system library to which all copies of AnyConnect will connect.
I erased my work vpn address from the address window in the AnyConnect window.
Typed in the VPN address for the second organization and logged ( although I did not connect to the new VPN)
When I quit Cisco and logged in again, my employment related VPN showed up in the window but I had to to click to agree to the Certificate- something I have not had do do when I only used one VPN addrsss.
So, what do i do so that Cisco will let me, at separate times, log into both VPN addresses without messing up my access?
