2 year contract discount if adding a line

I am think about joining my g/f's verizon plan and moving to a family plan so I can get the HTC Incredible with unlimited 3G.  If we port my number from AT&T will I be eligible to get a discount on the phone for adding the second line?

When you add a line to your plan you can sign a new 2-year contract for that line.  At that time you will be eligible for 2-year pricing on a new phone.

  • Contract Release Strategy - Adding New Line

I have a question regarding Contract Release Strategy - How can i force a release reset if a new line is added to the contract. I dont see a field in CEKKO - Any suggestions?

    Hi
Version mangement is activated with Version Zero only. When you select Version 0 Ok
If you have selected this indicator, version '0', which is generated automatically when a purchase requisition or external purchasing document is created, is automatically flagged by the system as Completed.
If version '0' is completed automatically, the system does not check whether the version data includes any mandatory fields.
If you have not selected the indicator, version '0' must be manually flagged as Completed.
Only if this indicator has been selected for the current version:
Can a requisition be converted into a PO (for example)
    Does the release procedure commence
    Thanks & Regards

  • 500 Bonus Minutes for 1-Year Contract Extension?

I was contacted 3x by a customer service rep offering 500 bonus minutes and finally gave in. I was told that it would:
    Extend my contract by 1-Year
Not affect my plan or pricing at all
Not affect my plan or pricing at all when I purchased a new phone on a 2-Year contract
Not be added to a 2-Year contract extension thus, making it 3 years. They said it would be "absorbed" into the 2-Year extension.
    Is this accurate?

Bump - please help clarify Verizon!!

  • Adding Line to 2 year contract.

I have a 2 year contract with Verizon. I'm already one  year into it and decided to add a line for my daughter. Will the contract end the same day for her as mine?

betchaaa it's awesome that you're looking to add a line for your daughter! 1tris is right on track, your contract will be different from hers. Yours will continue and she will have a 2 year contract started from the day she is added. • Employee Discount without 2 year Contract

I came to Verizon from ATT, where I had Costco Employee discount.I came to Verizon with my paid phones, signed up on Share plan and same employee discount to apply. After 2 months they removed employee discount because I'm not on 2 years contract. I wonder where does it say that on Verizon website?

If that's true it's new to me. You do realize 15 GB is $100 now not $110. I'd get that changed. You do get a $25 discount for each line off contract that's why they are $15 instead of $40. You still should be getting the work discount. Unless they've changed policy or something. Anyway I'd keep the off contract discount instead of being on contract and getting the work discount if you have to choose.

  • If I enter into a 2 year contract, after I pay the initial $199/299, are there any additional monthly fees added to account?

I currently have 2 smart phones and 1 dumb phone on my account, the smartphones were bought in 2011 & 2012, the dumb phone is even older than that, so they are all off contract. I'm looking to upgrade 1 (or both) of the smart phones. I'm currently paying $40 access fee on each smart phone, and am on the More Unlimited Talk/Text/3GB $60 plan.
I was wondering, If I enter a new 2 year contract for a new phone, and pay the initial $199/299, is there any additional charges added to the monthly bill? Or will it remain the same as now?
Also, If were to instead go for the edge program, would there be any additional fees added to monthly other than the ~$33 edge fee?
    Thanks!

You are overpaying now by $10 on each smartphone. There is an off contract month to month discount on smartphones on More Everything plan.
If you upgrade, you are no longer eligible for the discount, so you price will be the same you are paying now $40 for each smartphone.

  • Hi I Have A Prepaid SmartPhone Right Now With Verizon For About 7-Months So Far. I Have Always Paid On Time No Missed Payments Good Standing Account, I Tried To Switch Over To A 2-Year Contract With Verizon And They Wanted A $400 Deposit For Only 1-Line.

Hi I Have A Prepaid Smart Phone Right Now With Verizon For About 7-Months So Far. I Have Always Paid On Time No Missed Payments Good Standing Account, I Tried To Switch Over To A 2-Year Contract With Verizon And They Wanted A $400 Deposit For Only 1-Line. Is There Anyway I Can Use My Excellent Payment History With There Prepaid Department To Switch To A 2-Year Contract And Not Have To Pay The $400 Deposit. And This Is Due To The Fact I Have No Credit History Whatsoever

Since you have no credit history, my guess is you would need at least a year of on time payments, and I'm not sure a pre-paid account would qualify as you can stop at any time.
You didn't specify your age, but getting started int he credit world is not easy - you may try applying for a gas card, or a credit card, and USE them, pay them off each month - and expect to take a year or more to establish a record.

  • Can I get a discount on the iPhone after my AT&T 2 year contract is up?

I've had my old phone for almost 2 years, and on the AT&T site it has a bunch of phones that have huge discounts for them if your 2 year contract is up. So does that apply to the iPhone? I didn't see any info about that on the AT&T site.

You can not get a discount on the iPhone. You will need to pay the full 399.00 even when your upgrade time comes. The upgrade discount is not applicable to the iPhones.

  • Can I buy an Iphone 5s in-store discounted on a new 2 year contract?

I have my upgrade on September 30th, but I do not want to wait until October 28th for it to be shipped. Will I be able to walk into the apple store and buy an Iphone 5s on a new 2-year contract?
         Thanks, KLynn24

The Apple Store is really the best place to do your upgrade. If you're coming over from something other than an iPhone, they can transfer your contacts for you. You'll learn about the new phone, they'll help you understand iCloud and why it's a good idea to use it, and something about how it works. And you'll walk out, not just with a new phone, but a better understanding of how you want to use it.

  • Added 3rd line, my own feature phone, to NATIONWIDE LOYALTY SHARE 550 plan. Penalty for early termination of that line?

I went to a Verizon store to activate, on a pay-as-you-go basis, an old feature phone I owned so I could use it for a month or two while I am selling a house. The Verizon agent said the best thing would be to add it as a 3rd line on my existing NATIONWIDE LOYALTY SHARE 550 plan, where it would only cost the $9+ monthly fee and use minutes from the pooled 550 plan minutes. I made sure he understood that I may only need the additional phone/line for a month or two, then cancel it when the house is sold. He said I could easily delete the line and phone at no penalty. HOWEVER, when I got home and looked at my online receipt for the new line, it states "Date of Activation: 9/06/2013, Contract End Date: 09/06/2015, Early Termination Fee: UP TO $175." I am looking for a written reply from a Verizon representative why the receipt states an early termination fee when I was told that there would be none because I am using my own phone?

I was able to contact my Verizon agent at the local store and he said the 3rd phone was incorrectly added as being subject to a 2-year contract. He went into my account and changed that 3rd phone to a one day-contract so it now shows as a month-to-month phone with no termination fee. Unfortunately, he said he cannot re-print a corrected receipt with the change. I asked him to make a screenshot of my account showing the 3rd line and had him email it to me. Hopefully, that will suffice when I terminate the line in a month or two.
This is a good reason to always check the written agreements and receipts when you buy anything. Never just take what is taken verbally as binding. It is what actually gets entered into the system and what the contract terms state in writing.

  • Question about adding a line/phone to a new plan

Hey everyone I have a concern I wanted to be clear about before I upgrade my plan. I am up for a device upgrade and plan on upgrading my smartphone and my current single line plan to one of of the new share everything family plans and a new smartphone. I can get the phone I want at a different store other then verizon for a better price so Im going to do that. After that is all said and done I plan on buying and adding another new smartphone/line to my share everything account through verizon(store or online). I just want to be sure that 1.) Adding another line after the fact isnt going to be a problem fee wise or the terms of my account wise since I just upgraded my account at a different vendor and 2.) Will that new line be still eligible for a upgrade discount through verizon just like a new plan would be even though Im not adding it at the same exact time I upgrade my main phone and plan?
Also I was wondering that if..say a few months from now I want to add another new phone/line to my share everything account. Will that also be like a new plan and eligible for a upgrade discount through verizon? My 2.) question will probably answer this but I want to be absolutely sure first before I do anything. Thanks alot guys. Appreciate any input.

Every time you add a line, it is eligible for a subsidized phone. It does not matter when you do it. As far as question #1, your account is just what the terms of usage is, not the length of the contract(s). Those are determined by the individual lines. You can also change the account limits at any time (eg. increase shared data limit), but when you do, it is usually pro-rated for the remainder of your current billing month, plus 1 month in advance. It does not change any of the lengths of the lines contracts.
      Does this help?

  • 2 year contract vs Edge (upcoming iPhones)

I am currently under contract looking towards the new iPhones.  Here are my details
    -2 lines
    -unlimited talk/ text
-shared data 4GB (could possibly go to 6GB)
-month cost 150 before taxes (160 with 6GB)
With upcoming iPhone 6 I would have the subsidized prices with a new 2 year contract agreement.  I wanted to know if the verizon edge plan would be worth considering (with 10GB shared data).  I've been reading that if you have less than 10GB shared data then Edge isn't really worth considering over the 2 year contract over the long term.  Wanted to get people's opinion on the matter.
I'm looking at getting iPhone 6 128GB and iPhone 6 plus 64GB.  I talked with a rep and with EDGE it would be a month of about $33 and $38 respectively tacked onto the 160 plan w/ 10GB shared data.
Is EDGE worth it? Would love to hear your opinions.  Thanks for reading.

Only you can answer that. I would say that if you're on a sub 10 GB plan then no.
    On a subsidy your 2 phones would cost roughly $860, $400 each plus $30 upgrade fee. Plus taxes. $150 a month( 4 GB plan ) for 24 months is $3600. So total over 24 months is $4460 plus taxes/fees. With a 6 GB plan it's $4700. with 10 GB it's $5180
On Edge with a 10 GB plan over 24 months you're paying $215 a month for 20 months. And $130 for 4 months( assuming you get the Month2Month discount after your phones are paid off ) so a total of $4820. If you don't get the Month2Month discount then it's $5020
So if you're not interested in upgrading sooner than 2 years and if you really don't need more than 6 GB then I would say no. Kid of off topic but i would never pay $850 for a phone. And I wouldn't pay $400 for a subsidized on either.

  • 2 year contract on upgrading phone

Im a little confused. I changed my phone to a one year agreement so I could get a new phone each year but it sounds like each time I do this I move my contract up 2 years. If I do this the next 3 years I would then have a 6 year contract. Is this right? If so is there no way to keep my phone updated without this happening.

When you receive a new phone at a discounted price each year (annual upgrade), your contract is extended for 2 years from the date of the new contract.  It is not "added on" to your prior contract, it is a NEW 2 year contract from that date.  So you are never obligated to continue your contract for more than 2 years at any time.
For instance, you buy a new, discounted phone in January of 2010, and sign the contract through January 2012.  In January of 2011, you take advantage of the annual upgrade to get a new phone, and you sign a NEW contract for two years, through January of 2013.  Come January of 2012, you do the same thing, your contract is through January of 2014, two years from the CURRENT contract origination.

  • 2 year contract - GONE FROM BEST BUY?

I was looking to upgrade my AT&T contract at Best Buy and pre-order the LG G4 (since they have a $100 Gift Card offer) and it appears that AT&T is not allowing people to get a 2-year deal at NON-AT&T stores.  This sucks since AT&T never runs good promos like Best Buy.  I have an old Family Plan that is more cost effective than the new Family Share stuff that AT&T pushes now.  So, it looks like I have to switch to NEXT or pay full cost on the phone now.  Thanks AT&T....maybe I'll just switch.

Look at the total costs of each (contract vs. NEXT) at the end of two years. They are within $25-30 dollars of each other, and NEXT is much cheaper with 10 or more gig of shared data plan on 2 or more lines of service. Not sure how it would compare with the old Family Share Plan. Verizon works pretty similar with discounts for phones bought outright or on installment versus a 2 year contract. In my opinion, in less than a year, you won't see any carrier offering 2 year contracts. Every carrier is going to make the consumer buy their own device, either outright or on an installment plan. At lest the installment plans currently don't charge interest on the unpaid balance. It's been this way in Europe for years with Europeans thinking that Americans were crazy to lock ourselves into a 2 year contract with a particular carrier. Apparently, they like the ability to move from carrier to carrier depending on who has the best service and cheapest plan.

  • Cancelling a line and and adding new lines to existing PO using API

    Hi,
Can any one please help me know how I can cancel a line and insert new lines into a existing PO using any API.

However, if you do not want a contract on the new lines, (since you will have your own equipment), the activation fee will be $35.00 per line.  If you agree to a 2-year contract for the share lines, the activation fees will be $25.00 per line.
You can add the new lines by calling our Telesales Department at 800-256-4646.
    Thank you,
Really?!  I didn't know that made a difference...I thought secondary lines were $25 - well, ya learn something new every day!
And a side note - we added a line for my 75+ yr old mother with one of our old flip phones and CS was extremely kind in waiving the activation fee (I could have sworn it was $25 charged and credited on the bill), PLUS they boxed up the flip phone after activating it (with an out of state number to boot) and shipped it to my Mom, all at no additional cost to me.  I'm not saying that will be everyone's experience, and I was amazed the service rep offered to ship it for me - but I smiled and said "THANK YOU!" and accepted it!
