20" Cinema - Thrilling design but Ergonomy??!

Although the Cinema is quite state of the art in both design and technology I'm experiencing massive problems with its ergonomical conditions. With the standard desk height of about 0,73 to 0,76m i keep looking over the top of the screen and thus need to bend my head downwards from which i get severe neck and back pain.
I wonder how the average person with the average desk height should be able to follow the advisory on ergonomics which came with the cinema. There it is advised to set the display that the eyes look straight in the upper center. How can you do this as the cinema would not adjust in height????!
I figured out a few quite well but expensive options.

But you could leave your feedback on the iMac page since, ergonomically speaking, it also lacks a height adjustable stand.

According to your description that when you view the report it is extremely slow in SSRS 2008 R2 but it is very fast when execute the query in dataset designer, right?
I have tested on my local environment and can‘t reproduce the issue. Obviously, it is the performance issue, rendering performance can be affected by a combination of factors that include hardware, number of concurrent users accessing reports, the amount
of data in a report, design of the report, and output format. If you have parameters in your report which contains many values in the list, the bad performance as you mentioned is an known issue on 2008 R2 and already have the hotfix:

Any issue after applying the update, I recommend you that submit a feedback at https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/
If you don’t have, you can do some action to improve the performance when designing the report. Because how you create and update reports affects how fast the report renders.
Actually, the Report Server ExecutionLog2 view contains reports performance data. You could make use of below query to see where the report processing time is being spent:

SCOM 2012 R2 HA design but using SQL 2014 Standard edition

Hi All,
I want to deploy SCOM 2012r2 with a HA design (but have constraints!)
Plan is two management servers with all roles to each (fresh deployment so 2012r2 RU5)
SQL servers need to be 2014 standard edition due to licensing and cost constraints.
Design is to be split between two datacentres that are fibre connected and sub 3ms latency
Plan was to have a Management Server and a SQL server at each location.
Each location has a dedicated SAN but SAN replication is not an option.
What are my SQL options for the DB??
AlwaysOn FCI is not preferable as it gives a single point of failure due to shared storage requirement.
I read Database mirroring is not a supported config but this isn't Microsoft direct info just blog post, is this correct.
Which leaves me with log shipping, is this supported and the best option??
Would be great to get advice on what works well in the field with a contraint of having to use SQL Standard edition!

I'm not clear on exactly what it is you're asking, but if you're referring to changing opacity, you can change the opacity setting for the States of a menu item via the States panel and Control Strip.

It's hard to say why your machine is slow, but that machine with 8 GB of RAM should not be slow. Could be any number of possible problems. Try taking a look at the Mac OS X Speed FAQ.

I have to launch 2 catalogues (32 pages) in Indesign, with an equal layout but different languages. My client will need to start them both and won't wait for a agreement on a Master file. He'll update the layout all along the realisation (color, pictures and graphic design). To avoid waisting time by correcting twice, would you have a tip to link both composition and enhance automatically the background layout and ajustements over and above the languages ?
What would be the best method ?

Welcome to the discussions.
In the Accounts tab of Mail's preferences, you can set the Full Name (I don't know how it will be labelled in French - it is the 3rd field in Account Information). This is the name that will be displayed in the From column of the recipient's mail client.
But if the mail accounts are for two different users, it would be better to set up a separate login account on the mac for each of them, and then set up the mail preferences for the separate users.

I work around by specifying <tr align="center" height = "77">   shouldn't the text-align: center; and the line-height: 3.0; be specifiable in my CSS??

Not sure what it is you are trying to do but what you have at the moment is invalid code which is most likely why it doesn't work cross browser. (of cousre this css does not help - line-height: 3.0; - 3.0 what? - px, ems?)

Logon failed error : connection is OK in Designer but error in CR and CMC

BOXI 3.1 SP3 installed
Crystal Report 2008 SP3 installed.
Windows 2003 R2 SP2 64 bits
The data source location is SQL Server 2005 SP3/Windows 2003 R2 SP2 64 bits
I defined a connection (OLEDB secured) and a universe which uses this connection. I export the universe to make it available.
In Designer, everything works fine: i can access the data.
In CR 2008, when i create the connection within Database expoert, i access the universe, select the fields but there is an error message 'logon failed" when i validate the choice.
I have also made a test with an ODBC driver with no success.
I have checked ODBC and MDAC version.
Important to note: from CR, i can define datasource with ODBC/OLEDB driver directly from the SQL Server.
The rror message occurs when i access the universe to access the DB.
I have also made a test by applying CR 2008 SP4 but with no success.
Please someone help me ? give me some suggestions ?

Dynamic in Designer but not in Workspace

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. I have a form with a few expanding tables and digital signatures that I created in Designer that works perfectly when i preview it. But when i use it in my process and render the form in worspace (or download it from workspace and open it on your desktop), the form no longer is dynamic. The buttons no longer add rows to my table or anything, and no javascript errors are showing up in my debugger. Is there anything that might cause this?
I'm thinking it might be my custom render process (which is just the default renderer with a policy and extensions added) might be causing the issue but i can't see why. Can anyone help me with this?

Sry, just to clarify, do you mean dynamic that the forms layout changes (eg hiding fields, adding rows, etc)? I'm asking only because you mentioned about data. So is the problem that rows are not being added and fields are not being hidden? Or that the data is not being imported into the form?
If its the second option, are you importing an xml data file? or is the data coming from a webservice? The things i would check are whether the form is properly bound, and the structure of the xml file you're importing while testing in designer (if you are importing a file) has the same structure of the data you're importing when in workspace.

Have french license for adobe cs6 design but need ENGLISH

My university in Lausanne, Switzerland installed Adobe CS6 Design & Web Premuim with their license. Awesome. Only thing is that I am English speaking and the programs are all in French because they have a French license. I was able to change Photoshop to English easily, but I can't seem to find a way to change the other programs from French to English. I have a PC running Win 7 Pro 64 bit, but I do not know the serial number for Adobe.
Has anyone solved this? I am already slow on the computer and working in another language will make me triple slow, which is frustrating, even with my little knowledge of French.
Is there a patch for English in Illustrator, in Design, Dreamweaver, Bridge, FlashProfessional,etc ??? Please help!!

If that is a Creative Cloud license, you could change the install language, but not so easily with the CS versions.
Maybe your university can get the other language version for a small fee. You could try and ask support.

Apple 23" Cinema Display Alive But Blank

I seem to be experiencing a very odd problem with the cinema HD display attached to my PowerMac G5. The machine itself boots up fine. I can ssh into it remotely and use it. But the display remains black, and no amount of hitting the power button on the side gives any response.

So everything appears to be working as normal -- except I can't see anything. If I plug the display into my PowerBook, it's detected by Mac OS X too and I configure resolutions, mirroring, etc. But the display is black.
This started happening when I tried to move the monitor from being plugged into the mains directly to being plugged into the surge-only socket on my UPS. Before that, it was working fine. It has run fine off the UPS before, but now it seems to have got confused into not waking up (that's the best way I can describe it, it seems to be sleeping).
I've tried most things I can think of, including booting MacOS from the CD and resetting the PRAM, and am now at a loss. It doesn't seem to be a power issue because the monitor is responding to probes from the graphics cards in the PowerBook and PowerMac.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
The graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT FWIW, purchased as part of the PowerMac and HD display back in summer 2006.

Have a similar problem, display won't work with the G5. Can get it going on my MacBook Pro, if and only if, I unplug the the power from the brick, then restart MacBook and only plug in the power when the MacBook is up and running. It then works fine, but if it goes to sleep or you press the on/off button if goes blank again. Yet to get it working on the G5. Any ideas?
